Behexen es una banda de Finlandia, originalmente formada en 1994 bajo el nombre de "Lords of the Left Hand", pero fue hasta 1996 que adoptaron su nombre actual.

El estilo del grupo es un tipo de Black Metal bastante tipico, con todos los elementos caracteristicos de este genero, Blast-Beats muy veloces, guitarras sumamente distorcionadas, riffs simples con mucho uso de tremolo-picking , la voz extremadamente aguda y desgarradora, y por supuesto lirica fuertemente satanica.

Ya vamos terminando, este es el último disco de Black de Burzum, y uno de mis temas favoritos esta acá Dunkelheit, y jesus' tod que tambien es muy bueno. Ademas viene el tema Rundgang um die transzendentale Saule der Singularitat que es incluso mas largo que su nombre (dura 25:11)y es instrumental... La caratula de este disco y de los que vendrán es de Theodor Kittelsen un pintor tradicional de noruega del siglo XVIII.

Una breve reseña:

La banda empezó en 1987 bajo el nombre de Bombardeo aéreo, el nombre cambió a Therion en 1988 y lanzo algunos demos y un MLP en /89 luego lanzaron el album "De la Oscuridad" en 1991. Es conocida como una banda creadora del death metal, Therion desarrolló sobre los años (empezando con "Beyond Sanctorum" en 1992) llegar a ser apreciado por una audiencia fuerte de underground. Su tercer y cuarto álbum eran muy experimentales y había un cambio de miembros en medio de todos los álbunes. El fundador de la banda, Christofer Johnsson se quedó y escribió la mayoría del material de la canción. En 1996 su quinto álbum "Theli" fue lanzado y esto se considera como el álbum de breakthough de la banda. El estilo en Theli había cambiado en un metal sinfónico de la ópera con todas clases de influencias, inclusive rock progresivo de los 70's, metal pesado de los 80's, la música y la abundancia oriental. Los problemas con los integrantes continuaron y sigue "Vovin" (Therion tuvo el mejor registro de la venta con 125,000 copias vendidas en Europa) fue registrado como el álbum solo de Christofer, pero todavía bajo el nombre Therion. Esto era el primer registro de la orquesta verdadera y con los registros "Deggial" y "Secret of the Runes" la banda ha creado un híbrido total entre la música pegadiza de metal y música ópera/clásica. En 2002 la banda celebró su 15 aniversario del año lanzando el doble CD "Live in Midgard". En los álbumes Sirius B y "Lemuria" la banda tuvo que tomar este concepto, luego 171 músicos y cantantes en el suma fueron implicados a crear estas últimas progresiones de la música sinfónica. La banda es considerada por ser la principal responsable de la tendencia grande de las bandas sinfónicas que pinchan arriba en los 90's donde cantantes y teclados femeninos han llegado a ser la regla, antes que la excepción y donde esas bandas que pueden proporcionar esto, sientan una necesidad de utilizar la orquesta en sus registros.

Gojira es un grupo de metal progresivo formado en 1996 en Bayona, Francia. La banda fue conocida como Godzilla hasta el año 2001.

El grupo está compuesto por Joe Duplantier como vocalista y guitarrista, su hermano Mario Duplantier en la percusión, Christian Andreu en la guitarra y Jean-Michel Labadie en el bajo eléctrico. Desde su formación, Gojira ha lanzado cuatro álbumes de estudio y un DVD.

Hollenthon es una banda de Symphonic, melodic Death Metal surgida en 1994 en Vienna, Austria, en sus comienzos se puede sentir más la influencia del Folk y Black Metal.

Como dato adicional, Hollenthon es el nombre de un pequeño pueblo cerca de Vienna, en donde la banda fue fundada.

Historia

In Flames fue fundada en 1990 por Jesper Strömblad como un proyecto aparte de la banda Ceremonial Oath. Jesper formó In Flames con el propósito de escribir canciones con una dirección musical más melódica, algo que no se le permitió hacer en Ceremonial Oath.
En 1993, Jesper decidió dejar Ceremonial Oath debido a diferencias musicales y comenzó a enfocarse más en In Flames. Ese mismo año, Jesper (guitarra, batería, teclado) reclutó a Glenn Ljungström (guitarra), y a Johan Larsson (bajo) para así formar la primera alineación oficíal de In Flames.

En 1994 lanzan su álbum debut Lunar Strain incorporando como vocalista de sesión a Mikael Stanne de Dark Tranquillity (que nunca llegó a formar parte del grupo). En 1995, con The Jester Race (primer álbum con Anders Friden como vocalista y con Nuclear Blast como discográfica) se les empieza a reconocer como una gran banda del género en toda Europa y Japón. En 1997 después de grabar su álbum Whoracle varios miembros del grupo deciden abandonarlo y se incorporan Daniel Svensson y Peter Iwers como batería y bajista respectivamente. Con Colony (1999) y Clayman (2000) se reafirman en el panorama internacional consiguiendo sus mayores éxitos en Canadá, EE. UU., Japón y Europa realizando múltiples giras y alcanzando varios galardones.

En el año 2002 sacaron el polémico disco Reroute to Remain, alabado por unos y despreciado por otros, en el que su música evoluciona hacia un metal más experimental, quizás más accesible al gran público. En 2004, en la misma línea que el anterior, editan el Soundtrack to Your Escape. Con su siguiente disco, publicado en 2006, Come Clarity volvieron a sus orígenes a la vez que mantuvieron la evolución de su última etapa. Con este disco, sólo en EE. UU., vendieron más de 110,000 copias.

El último trabajo de In Flames hasta la fecha se lanzó el 1 de Abril de 2008 bajo el nombre A Sense of Purpose. El primer single de este álbum, The Mirror's Truth, se puso a la venta el 7 de Marzo de 2008 vía Nuclear Blast Records.

Actualmente la banda está integrada por Jesper Strömblad (guitarra), Björn Gelotte (guitarra), Daniel Svensson (batería), Peter Iwers (bajo) y Anders Fridén (vocalista).

Influencia

In Flames fueron, junto con At the Gates y Dark Tranquillity, pioneros del sonido Gotemburgo o death metal melódico, y han sido influencia artística para muchas bandas, las más notables son de la escena del metalcore melódico. Bandas tales como Darkest Hour, As I Lay Dying y Still Remains han citado a In Flames como unas de sus principales influencias. También han sido la influencia directa de bandas de death metal melódico como Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum y Soilwork.

Desde su primer disco se noto la influencia de otras bandas hacia in flames tanto en las liricas como en el estilo de la música y han citado a Tool, Queensryche y Alice in Chains como sus grandes influencias, ya que en la mayoría de sus canciones se nota la presencia de algunos riffs tanto de Tool como de Alice in Chains.

Jester Head

Cuando In Flames grabaron su segundo álbum, The Jester Race, Anders Fríden y Niklas Sundin (de Dark Tranquillity) tuvieron la idea de crear un símbolo o mascota para la banda; el resultado fue Jester Head. Este hizo su primera aparición el la portada del ya mencionado álbum The Jester Race y desde entonces, ha estado presente en la mayoría de los álbumes de In Flames, en su publicidad y en su sitio web.

Autopsy fue una influyente banda de death metal, fundada en 1987 en los Estados Unidos por Chris Reifert después de dejar Death.

Comenzando su carrera con el LP Severed Survival, Autopsy toma un sonido similar a la era del Scream Bloody Gore de Death, pero pronto cambiaron a un sonido influenciado por el Doom Metal en el EP Retribution for the Dead. El siguiente álbum, Mental Funeral, expandió el estilo "death doom" de Autopsy, y fue recibió con gran aclamación por la critica. Habiendo completado un exitoso tour por Europa después del lanzamiento de Mental Funeral, la banda volvió al estudio para grabar el EP Fiend for Blood, que fue seguido por su tercer álbum Acts of the Unspeakable. El ultimo álbum de Autopsy, Shitfun, fue influenciado por el hardcore punk y preparo fans para Abscess, el proyecto de Danny Coralles y Chris Reifert hicieron después de la separación de Autopsy en 1995.

En 2004 se hizo una mención al grupo en el documental Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, en el que el director y presentador Sam Dunn lee en voz alta un verso de la canción Charred Remains.

En Septiembre del 2008, Los Miembros de Autopsy Se reunieron en el estudio solo para grabar 2 nuvas canciones para la edicion especial de su clasico debut "Severed Survival" que fue sacado en 23 de septiembre de 2009.

vueno, para mi esta es de mis bandas favoritas aunque he de reconocer que siempre ha estado como en segunda fila, no es de esas que te vienen a la mente cuando mencionas el olimpo noruego del Black metal,jeje y este es el caso de Carpathian Forest.
Banda originaria de Sandnes o algo asi(Noruega) se forman en el año 1992 aunque habria que hablar del año 90 cuando los dos integrantes que forman Carpathian Forest , forman una banda llamada Enthrone. Los dos integrantes eran Nordavind y Nattefrost, de los cuales solo queda Nattefrost en la banda.
Aunque se forma en el 92 , es una banda tardia ya que no es hasta el 97 cuando graban su primer disco cuando ya la llama del black metal noruego andaba muy apagada. Aunque en esa epoca entre el 92 y 97 grabaron varias demos y algun ep. yo aka subo un par nomas..
