Maddie - iMovie Practice

This movie was made using footage and audio supplied by my teacher. It was kinda boring, so I took it into After Effects for a quick "5 minute" edit.

I know it doesn't look good, but I dont care! :) It only took me 15 minutes to create the whole video!

My name is Devin Northrup. I am 23 years old and come from Lindon, Utah. I served my mission in New Zealand, speaking Samoan. I have been at BYU Hawaii since Fall 07. I am majoring in ICS Communications and just added IDD as a minor. I have many interests and can find myself enjoying learning about many different subjects. Volleyball is my favorite sport, and you better watch out for my spike!

I have been interested in video work for a long time. This interest eventually led to me purchasing a professional camera in high school, software, and teaching myself how to film, edit, and create graphics. I am proficient in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro Studio, and more. I currently work for the University Relations department doing a variety of projects from video to print graphics, and even filming certain events.

As a career, I hope to continue to be involved in media. I am interested in marketing and commercial media, so I could see myself working for an add agency or a company creating movie trailers. I hope to learn more about the programs that I use. I hope to gain some web experience also, as I haven't ventured too much into the web side of graphic design. I have another blog which shows some of my work that I have created.
