Aamir Khan, in his latest upcoming film plays the role of a painter. According to the sources, Aamir is a painter and he lives and works in tiny studio apartment in a noisy neighborhood of Mumbai.

There are four lead roles and I am one of them. I have enjoyed working with Kiran. She is a creative director and Kiran has got what she wanted,

says Aamir.

Aamir Khan has been confirmed in Dhobi Ghaat, though it was not easy to get role in the film, Aamir revealed in a TV Show. Aamir went forward to her wife Kiran Rao for role as a lead actor in her movie but she rejected him saying that Dhobi Ghaat is a small budget film with not so popular artists and some new faces and signing Aamir will definitely cause distraction in production of movie. Refusing Aamir she started looking for the lead actor of film. In the meanwhile Aamir got and idea to get the role. He says,

Those were the days when I was shooting for Ghajini in Hyderabad. I called Kiran over there and told her to let me give one screen test. She need not sign me, I told her. Reluctantly, she agreed. And when I gave the screen test, Kiran was impressed. I brought out different sides of the character which she hadn’t imagined,

Still, she didn’t agree to sign him up but kept looking for the lead actor. But Aamir gave an impression and there wasn’t any who could have replaced the perfectionist. Hence, finally Aamir Khan got the role.

Dhobi Ghaat, is the upcoming Bollywood Movie which is expected to release in late half of 2010. Directed by Kiran Rao (Aamir Khan’s wife) it is debut movie of Kiran as a director. Aamir Khan with three other actors play a lead role in the movie. Pratiek Babbar, the promising son of the late Smita Patil and Raj Babbar is also playing important role in the film. Aamir khan plays a role of a painter. Dhobi Ghaat is a low budget film shot in Mumbai. The production of the movie is complete and post production is going on. Kiran is quite happy with what she got and we expect to see this movie by late half of 2010.
