glucose, also called blood sugar. Glucose is an important source of energy, but
too much glucose in the blood over time can damage different parts of the body.
Recognising the warning signs of diabetes can help people seek medical attention
early. Some people experience noticeable symptoms, while others may have
diabetes without knowing it. In this article, we explain 15 possible warning
signs of diabetes, why they occur, and when to seek medical advice. What Is
Diabetes? Diabetes is a condition in which blood glucose levels become too high
because the body does not produce enough insulin or cannot use insulin
effectively. Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas. It helps glucose
move from the bloodstream into the body's cells. The main types of diabetes
include Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes, which
develops during pregnancy.
15 Early Signs of Diabetes 1. Frequent Urination One
possible sign of diabetes is urinating more frequently than usual, particularly
at night. When blood glucose becomes too high, the kidneys may remove some of
the excess glucose through urine. This can increase the amount of urine
produced.
2. Excessive Thirst Frequent urination can cause the body to lose more
water than usual. As a result, the person may feel unusual thirsty even after
drinking water.
3. Increased Hunger Some people with diabetes feel hungry more
often than usual. This can happen when the body cannot use glucose effectively
to meet its energy needs.
4. Unexplained Weight Loss Losing weight can be a
warning sign, particularly when accompanied by excessive thirst and frequent
urination. When the body cannot use glucose properly, it may begin breaking down
fat and muscle for energy.
5. Persistent Tiredness High blood glucose can be
associated with fatigue and a lack of energy. However, tiredness has many
possible causes, so it should not automatically be assumed to mean diabetes.
6.
Blurred Vision High blood glucose can affect the fluid balance in the eyes,
temporarily changing it.Although Persistent or sudden changes in vision require
medical assessment.
7. Slow-Healing Wounds Some people with diabetes notice that
cuts, sores, and other wounds take longer to heal. High blood glucose can affect
circulation, immune function, and the body's ability to repair damaged tissue.
8. Frequent Infections Diabetes can increase the risk of certain infections,
including some skin, urinary tract, and yeast infections. Repeated infections
may be a reason to discuss blood glucose testing with a healthcare professional.
9. Tingling in the Hands or Feet Some people experience tingling, burning,
numbness, or pain in their hands or feet. These symptoms can occur when diabetes
damages nerves, although other conditions can cause similar problems. 10. Dry
Skin Dry or itchy skin may occur in people with diabetes. Possible contributing
factors include dehydration and changes in circulation. Dry skin alone does not
establish that someone has diabetes. 11. Darkened Skin Around the Neck Dark,
thickened patches of skin around the neck, armpits, or groin can sometimes be
associated with insulin resistance. This condition is called acanthosis
nigricans. It does not confirm diabetes, but a healthcare professional may
recommend further assessment.
12. Numbness in the Feet Reduced sensation in the
feet can develop when diabetes affects peripheral nerves. Anyone experiencing
new or worsening numbness should seek medical advice, particularly if there are
foot wounds.
13. Recurrent Gum Problems Diabetes may increase the risk of gum
disease and other oral health problems. Bleeding gums, swollen gums, and
persistent mouth problems should be assessed by a dental professional.
14.
Irritability or Difficulty Concentrating Changes in blood glucose can sometimes
affect concentration, mood, and general wellbeing. These symptoms have many
possible causes and cannot diagnose diabetes on their own.
15. No Noticeable
Symptoms One important fact is that Type 2 diabetes can develop without obvious
symptoms. Some people discover they have diabetes only after a blood test or
during a routine medical examination. This is why appropriate screening is
important for people who may be at increased risk. How Can Diabetes Be
Confirmed? Symptoms alone cannot confirm diabetes. A healthcare professional can
recommend blood tests, such as: Fasting plasma glucose. HbA1c, which reflects
average blood glucose over approximately two to three months. An oral glucose
tolerance test, when appropriate. The correct test and interpretation depend on
the person's circumstances. A healthcare professional should explain the results
and whether further testing is needed. When Should You Seek Medical Help?
Arrange a medical assessment if you experience persistent excessive thirst,
frequent urination, unexplained weight loss, or other possible signs of
diabetes. Seek emergency medical care if you experience vomiting, abdominal
pain, deep or rapid breathing, severe dehydration, confusion, or unusual
drowsiness, especially when accompanied by symptoms of high blood glucose. These
may indicate a serious emergency such as diabetic ketoacidosis. Can Diabetes Be
Prevented? Type 1 diabetes cannot currently be prevented through established
lifestyle measures. For many people at risk of Type 2 diabetes, regular physical
activity, a balanced diet, maintaining a healthy weight where appropriate, and
attending recommended health checks can help reduce risk. People who already
have diabetes should work with their healthcare team to manage blood glucose and
reduce the risk of complications. No single food, herb, or natural remedy has
been established as a cure for diabetes. Conclusion Recognising possible signs
of diabetes can help people seek medical advice earlier. Frequent urination,
excessive thirst, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, and blurred vision are among
the symptoms worth discussing with a healthcare professional. However, some
people have no obvious symptoms. Appropriate blood testing remains essential for
diagnosis. If you are concerned about diabetes, speak with a qualified
healthcare professional rather than relying on symptoms or home remedies alone.

After you eat, the level of glucose in the blood rises sharply.
The pancreas responds by releasing enough insulin to manage the increase level
of glucose. Moving the glucose out of the bloodstream into the cells. This
helps to bring the blood glucose to normal.

your pancreas not making enough insulin? Or is it that your insulin does not
work properly? Resulting in making your blood sugar level high and you have
tried various ways to bring it under control yet no marked result. Just like
what happened at the pool, which is called in Hebrew tongue BETHESDA for an
angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water, whomsoever
then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of
whatsoever disease he had. And a certain mam was there, which had an infirmity thirty
and eight years, the bible said that immediately Jesus saw him he knew he had
been in the case for long. And asked him would you be made whole? The sick man
answered him, sir I have no man, when the water was troubled, to put me into
the pool, but while I am coming another stepped down into the pool before me.
Jesus said unto him rise up take thy bed and walk. Immediately the man was made
whole< john 5:1-9>.I don’t know how long you have suffered from diabetes,
how many drugs or products, you have used trying to bring your blood glucose
under control but no marked difference, but today if you can come to Jesus,
repenting from every known and unknown sin, confessing your doubt, unbelief,
weakness, calling upon God for mercy. In gospel of John chapter 5:24, it reads
“Most assuredly, I say to you he who hears my word and believes in him who sent
me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from
death to life.” I am assuring you, if you can believe today, God will transform
you from death to life, from high blood glucose level to a normal blood glucose
level, that is, from sickness to sound health or whatever challenge you are
passing through, is it corona virus (COVID- 19), he is going to turn you to
COVID- 19 free. If you believe begin to confess it out now! That you have passed
from death to life, from sickness to sound health and that you now have power
over sin, sickness and Satan. John 1:12,that is power of son-ship. And continue
to confess it, because confession bring possession. And I give you 3 day
after reading this message
go for a test ! You will see that
GOD “ healing power as of old is working presently.

He that created herbs, medicines, can't heal?.A brother gave testimony on how God healed him of diabetes. He said for a period of six years, he was battling with this terrible case of diabetes. He urinates up to six times before day break. Until he came to The Lords Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries for solution and according to him ,he said that the G.O was ministering in prayers that same day , he cancelled the constant urinating, and immediately the sickness was cancelled he became normal again. What you need is to reconcile with God. repent from your sins, asking God to forgive your sin. And make Jesus Christ your personal lord and saviour and this will usher you into the store house of God and you will begin to access as many products as you need - salvation, deliverance, healing, mercy of God, favour of God ,miracle e.t.c

Most people with diabetes will likely have wound that takes an eternity to heal. This is a common problems for people with diabetes.
But a new study this week revealed that new treatment methods could be on the horizon.
German researchers made a discovery that involves the role of insulin metabolism at the site of a wound, and now aim to develop drugs that activate insulin metabolism, which would increase the speed and efficiency of wound healing.
It is particularly important for people with diabetes to monitor foot wounds, which can lead to complications such as foot ulcers if not properly treated.
Foot ulcers, which can be caused by cuts, grazes and blisters, can affect up to 1 in 10 with the condition. If you have diabetes, foot care should be made a key part of your everyday routine. Foot ulcers are a leading cause of amputation which is why it is important to check your feet for any signs of damage and notify your doctor if there is.
If you have a wound on another part of your body that is taking a long time to heal or showing signs of infection, be sure to see your doctor
Earlier this year a naw treatment called maggot debridement therapy was found to have benefits for wound healing, while a study investigating the cause of slow wound healing in diabetes reported that the presence of fungi within wounds can be associated with longer healing times.
Also keeping good control of blood glucose levels can reduce the risk of slow healing wounds.

AFTER A MEAL BLOOD GLUCOSE RISES AND THEN DROP BACK TO NORMAL.
WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS IS THAT A HORMONE CALLED INSULIN HAD CARRIED THE SUGAR INTO CELLS,WHERE IT CAN BE USED AS FUEL.
BLOOD SUGAR OR BLOOD GLUCOSE THEN GRADUALLY DROPS BACK TO NORMAL
.HOW WELL DOES YOUR BODY USES GLUCOSE?
THIS WILL SHOW IN THE WAY YOUR BLOOD SUGAR RETURN BACK TO NORMAL.
THE BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL THAT REMAINS HIGHER THAN NORMAL SIGNAL TWO PROBLEMS :
1.YOUR CELLS ARE" STARVING"THAT IS YOU ARE NOT USING GLUCOSE WELL.
2.DROP IN THE ABILITY TO REGULATE BLOOD FLOW :THIS IS BECAUSE THE EXTRA GLUCOSE CIRCULATING IN THE BLOOD CAN DAMAGE THE CELLS, EYES,KIDNEY,NERVE,HEART AND BLOOD VESSELS.
A NEW STUDY BY SCIENTISTS AT HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL HAS FOUND PEOPLE WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES LOSE BRAIN POWER AS THEIR ABILITY TO REGULATE BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS DROP RESULTING IN MEMORY LOSS AND A DECLINE IN COGNITIVE FUNCTION.

Garcinia kola:
The seeds of several plants have been used either
wholly as a substitute for, or as adulterants of, true kola. All of
these, however, lack the characteristic principles of the true
kola. Among these plants is Garinia Kola (Heckel). The fruit of this
plant is rarely found as an adulterant of kola, as their external
features are entirely different. However, it bears the name of
false kola, male kola, and bitter kola. It is highly esteemed by the native of
Africa, though devoid of marked stimulant properties of true kola.
Negroes chewed it as a powerful aphrodisiac and, as masticatory,
they employ them in common colds. They contain tannin,
colour matter, and a brown and a yellowish- white resin but no alkaloids
(Harvey Wickes, 1898).

Researchers have now
unlocked the key secret to Mangosteen’s amazing benefits, a powerful, new class
of super-antioxidants found in the rind (pericarp) of this delicious tasting
fruit called Xanthones.

First discovered in
India over 400 years ago and regarded as the national fruit of Thailand and
Malaysia, the Mangosteen fruit contains 43 different Xanthones, each with its
own unique health promoting properties, among them the ability to help reduce
inflammation with no side effects according to several new clinical trials.

Sleep is very important for our healthy growth, thinking and fast memory capabilities. Therefore for our good body , muscle , organ and brain performance we need quality sleep .And for us to stay healthy free of some chronic disease like diabetes ,hypertension or high blood pressure Heart failure etc ,we need good quality sleep. For an example in 2005, a study of over 1400 participants showed that participants who habitually slept few hours were more likely to have associations with Diabetes Type 2.If sleep is so important ,how can we correct our deprived sleep nature ? here are some way we can balance our sleep nature:

Pray and give all your burdens to the Lord. Pray that God will help you sleep well. The Bible says in Psalms 4: I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: For thou, Lord, only maketh me dwell in safety.

2

Exercise regularly

Exercise regularly: Exercise in the late afternoon or early evening but not within two hours of bedtime.

Bananas contain tryptophan

Eat sleep promoting foods: In the evening eat almonds, bananas, dates, figs, tuna, turkey or yogurt. These foods are high in tryptophan which promotes sleep.

What a feeling to get a massage!

Massage your entire body using essential oil: Prepare a massage oil by mixing 2 drops of valerian oil, 2 drops of lemon oil, 2 drops of chamomile oil, 2 drops of clary-sage oil and 2 drops of valerian. Use this prior to taking your essential oil bath. Massage over your entire body, you may need help from your husband or wife for this one.(Smile) :) There is nothing like your partner in life lending his/her hand to massage you when needed. Make sure the shoulders and neck are included.

Key is relaxation!

Take an essential oil bath: Essential oil can be used in a nice, warm and sensual bath. Mix 3 drops of clary-sage, 2 drops of vetiver, 1 drop of valerian and two drops of lavender oil in a bowl and then pour in a dropper bottle. Afterwards, place 3 drops per bath. Get in the tub, relax and read a book. Then go to bed. Repeat nightly or as needed.
In this experiment, the aqueous bitter kola (Garcinia kola) extract was added to the plasma invitro.
The glucose concentration gotten was then compared with that of the normal blood glucose without the extract.
Test
Six tubes were lined and 100*l of plasma was put into each tubes. Into first three tubes was labelled 20*lE, 50*lE, 100*lE of extract. The second set of three test tubes was labelled 20*l NS,
50*l NS,100*lNS, of normal saline which acted as control.
In test tubes labelled for extract 20*l, 50*l and 100*l of the bitter kola extract was put respectively. The same was done to the normal saline. The tubes were shacked for content to mix. The timing device was set to 1 hour.
This allows a time for the extract to react with the blood glucose. At the end of one hour a blood glucose test was done (as described above). The values were calculated according. The time device set to another one hour, making the reaction time to be two hours. At the end of the two hours the blood glucose test were repeated and values calculated accordingly.

In 2005, a study of over 1400 participants showed that participants who habitually slept few hours were more likely to have associations with Diabetes Type 2. However, because this study was merely cor-relational, the direction of cause and effect between little sleep and diabetes is uncertain. The authors point to an earlier study which showed that experimental rather than habitual restriction of sleep resulted in impaired glucose tolerance (IGT).And new mothers sleep pattern are also very poor. .
Researcher Dr Hawley E. Montgomery-Downs, said the study challenges a central assumption about new mothers' typical sleep patterns.
She said that the general assumption had been that most new mothers are not getting enough hours of sleep so the advice on how to combat daytime fatigue has focused on countering sleep deprivation, such as nap when your baby naps. For detail go to http://en.wikipedia.org
Can lead to decrease in perlecan levels

Perlecan levels are decreased in many disease states - e.g., diabetes, atherosclerosis and arthritis. Perlecan has an important role in the maintenance of the glomerular filtration barrier. Decreased perlecan in the glomerular basement membrane has a central role in the development of diabetic albuminuria. Perlecan expression is down regulated by many atherogenic stimuli and thus Perlecan is thought to play a protective role in atherosclerosis. Diabetes and atherosclerosis are commonly associated syndromes. 80% of diabetes-associated deaths involve some form of atherosclerotic complication, and the basement membrane of endothelia has been implicated in the atherogenic process. Then what is Perlecan ?Heparan sulfate proteoglycan 2 (HSPG2), is a human gene which encodes the perlecan protein.
Perlecan is a large multidomain proteoglycan that binds to and cross-links many extracellular matrix (ECM) components and cell-surface molecules. Perlecan is synthesized by both vascular endothelial and smooth muscle cells and deposited in the extracellular matrix. Perlecan is highly conserved across species and the available data indicate that it has evolved from ancient ancestors by gene duplication and exon shuffling.

Synthesis of heparan sulfate was shown to decrease in the arteries of diabetics and in arteries developing atherosclerotic lesions. The mechanism by which heparan sulfate was downregulated in these lesions remained unknown for some time. One theory states that high glucose in circulation could lead to a decrease in GAG chain attachment to perlecan, but not necessarily a change in the synthetic pathway of the GAG chains or that of the core protein. After treatment of human aortic endothelial cells with high glucose medium, secreted perlecan contained less sulfate incorporation accompanied by less overall GAG chain incorporation. Although no signaling pathway is identified leading to this decrease in GAG chain incorporation, it is suggested that the 30% loss in overall glycosylation of the protein could mean loss of one of the three HS chains on perlecan in this model of diabetes-associated hyperglycemia. It is also noted that similar decreases in extracellular HS without a change in staining for the core protein chains occur in diabetic kidneys and in kidney cells in culture treated with high glucose.

your blood group might be the answer why you have not achieve your weight loss goals?
The basis of a Blood Group Diet lies on the fact that every Blood Group have a unique antigen marker. This antigen marker often responds badly with different types of foods which can lead to various health problems. Through diet designed especially for your Blood Group , you can improve the digestion and absorption of food more efficiently.
Peter D'Adamo who is a naturopathic physician advocates Blood Type Diet in his book Eat Right 4 Your Type. D'Adamo's says that ABO Blood Type is the most important factor in determining a healthy diet, and he also promotes distinct diets for people having different blood groups.
This diet works on the basis that the body has different reactions to food depending on a person's blood group.

The diet is accompanied by exercise.
G.I. Diet - lowering the glycemic index of one's diet can improve the control of diabetes. This includes avoidance of such foods as potatoes cooked in certain ways, and white bread, and instead favoring multi-grain and sourdough breads, legumes and whole grains—foods that are converted more slowly to glucose in the bloodstream.
Low Carb Diet - It has been suggested that the gradual removal of carbohydrates from the diet and replacement with fatty foods such as nuts, seeds, meats, fish, oils, eggs, avocados, olives, and vegetables may help reverse diabetes. Fats would become the primary calorie source for the body, and complications due to insulin resistance would be minimized. However, it's vitally important that such a diet be low in saturated fats. The American Diabetes Association explains: "saturated fat raises blood cholesterol. High blood cholesterol is a risk factor for heart disease. People with diabetes have more frequent heart disease.
High fiber diet - It has been shown that a high fiber diet works better than the diet recommended by the American Diabetes Association in controlling diabetes, and may control blood sugar levels with the same efficacy as oral diabetes drugs.
Paleolithic diet - The Paleolithic diet has been shown to improve glucose tolerance in humans with diabetes type 2, humans with ischemic heart disease and glucose intolerance, and in healthy pigs. What is paleolithic diet according to wikipadea The modern dietary regimen known as the Paleolithic diet (abbreviated paleo diet or paleodiet), also popularly referred to as the caveman diet, Stone Age diet and hunter-gatherer diet, is a nutritional plan based on the presumed ancient diet of wild plants and animals that various human species .. These are a limited number of studies in a limited number of subjects, but the knowledge about the benefits of the Paleolithic diet in diabetes is emerging. Today, diabetes experts no longer recommend a single meal plan for all people with diabetes. Instead, they recommend meal plans that are flexible and take into account a person's lifestyle and particular health needs. The American Diabetes Association recommends that people with diabetes consult a registered dietitian to design a meal plan.

  A Healthy Meal Plan

By following the government's Dietary Guidelines for Americans, you can promote your health and reduce your risk for chronic diseases such as heart disease, certain types of cancer, diabetes, stroke, and osteoporosis. These diseases are leading causes of death and disability among Americans. Good diets can also reduce major risk factors for chronic disease-such as obesity, high blood pressure, and high blood cholesterol. Your food choices, your lifestyle, your environment, and your family history all affect your well-being. It is important for everyone to follow the 10 Dietary Guidelines listed below. If you are at higher risk of having a chronic disease, it is especially important.

The Dietary Guidelines for Americans include the following:

AIM FOR FITNESS . . .

--Aim for a healthy weight.
--Be physically active each day. Some people with diabetes use the Exchange Lists for Meal Planning. This system, established by the American Dietetic and American Diabetes associations, separates foods into six categories based on their nutritional makeup. People following this plan choose a set number of servings from each category daily, depending on their nutritional needs.

The Food Guide Pyramid

The Food Guide Pyramid can help you put the Dietary Guidelines into action. The pyramid illustrates the research-based food guidance developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and supported by the Department of Health and Human Services. It is based on USDA's research on what foods Americans eat, what nutrients are in these foods, and how to make the best food choices to promote good health. It outlines what to eat each day, but it is not a rigid prescription. You can use it as a general guide in choosing a healthful diet that is right for you. The pyramid calls for eating a variety of foods to get the nutrients you need, and, at the same time, the right amount of calories to maintain a healthy weight.

Using the food label to help with food choices

Under regulations from the Food and Drug Administration of the Department of Health and Human Services and the Food Safety and Inspection Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the food label offers more complete, useful and accurate nutrition information than ever before.

With today's food labels, consumers get

--nutrition information about almost every food in the grocery store
--distinctive, easy-to-read formats that enable consumers to more quickly find the information they need to make healthful food choices
--information on the amount per serving of saturated fat, cholesterol, dietary fiber, and other nutrients of major health concern
--nutrient reference values, expressed as % Daily Values, that help consumers see how a food fits into an overall daily diet
--uniform definitions for terms that describe a food's nutrient content--such as "light," "low-fat," and "high-fiber"--to ensure that such terms mean the same for any product on which they appear
--claims about the relationship between a nutrient or food and a disease or health-related condition, such as calcium and osteoporosis, and fat and cancer. These are helpful for people who are concerned about eating foods that may help keep them healthier longer.
--standardized serving sizes that make nutritional comparisons of similar products easier
--declaration of total percentage of juice in juice drinks. This enables consumers to know exactly how much juice is in a product.
Begin with the Nutrition Facts panel, usually on the side or back of the package. The Nutrition Facts panel has two parts: The main or top section, which contains product-specific information (serving size, calories, and nutrient information) that varies with each food product; and the bottom part, which contains a footnote. This footnote is only on larger packages and provides general dietary information about important nutrients.

Several features of the Nutrition Panel help people with diabetes manage their diets. First of all, serving sizes now are more uniform among similar products and reflect the amounts people actually eat. The similarity makes it easier to compare the nutritional qualities of related foods. People who use the Exchange Lists should be aware that the serving size on the label may not be the same as that in the Exchange Lists. For example, the label serving size for orange juice is 8 fluid ounces (240 milliliters). In the exchange lists, the serving size is 4 ounces (one-half cup) or 120 mL. So, a person who drinks one cup of orange juice has used two fruit
Glucose tolerance is indicated by the nature of the blood glucose curve following the administration of a test amount of glucose.
Type 1 diabetes (insulin- dependent diabetes mellitus )
This is characterized by decreased glucose tolerance due to decrease secretion of insulin in response to the glucose challenge. This is manifested by elevated blood glucose levels hypeglycemia and glycosuria and may be accompanied by changes in fat metabolism. Tolerance to glucose declines not only in type 1 diabetes but in type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (non- insulin- dependent diabetes,
mellitus; NIDDM);
This occurs, when your pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin due to liver damaged; and in some infections. This often associated with obesity and raised level of plasma free fatty acids; under the influence of some drugs; the patient is usually over 40 years of age.
CONTROLLING OF DIABETES MELLITUS

The renal threshold for glucose is usually raised in a diabetic mellitus patient. The presence of glycosuria is frequently an indication of diabetes mellitus.
Type 2 (non-insulin- dependent) diabetic mellitus:
Drugs such as tolbutamide stimulate insulin release by a mechanism different from that employed by glucose and have achieved widespread use in the treatment of type 2 ( non- insulin -dependent) diabetes mellitus.
