My mom stopped by before we went shopping so I had additional hands to take photos today. Now that my hair is pressed I can finally fit it under my snoods. I purchased them for about $1 at my local Asian beauty supply store and have them in like 4 colors. The legwarmers I bought from Five Below which is like a dollar store with everything being $5 and below (of course right? lol). The difference is while most dollar stores carry ridiculously unnecessary tchotchkes and crap you don't even want but feel an unnatural urge to buy Five Below actually carries some trendy and useful items.

Since December is here it is officially Christmas decorating time! And here's my Christmas tree. I'm going with a purple, red, and silver theme this year. I've had this tree for about 5 years and the lights are prestrung. I don't have the time, patience or enough allergy medicine to deal with a real tree. Since I seem to misplace my ornaments every year I went out and bought some new ones. Kmart has the Martha Stewart line which has an assortment of peacock and bird tree decorations and I went bananas.

Little Birdie. The bird and the next have a clip on the bottom of them and my mom was like "what..are you gonna use them as a hair clip?". I think they're a lil too big for that but would make awesome brooches.

I've been wanting o slash and stud a shirt or sweater for a while but never got around to it. Finally yesterday I just said f*ck it and grabbed this sweater and went to town. My fingers are sore and I may run out of studs but I can't wait till it's finished. What DIY projects are you working on??

Last week I was invited to the Lucky Brand Jeans and Parsons School of Designs handbag launch.The celebration was held at the Lucky Flagship store in Manhattan and was complete with shopping, chocolate cupcakes and wine.What more could a girl ask for?

Maine native and current student at Parsons, Jordan Weymouth Richards and Ethiopian- born, Benyam Assefa were chosen because of their expertise in design and their impeccable craftsmanship. Their bags were designed with the utmost creative spirit while keeping in mind the true aesthetic of the brand. The handbags will debut at retail for fall 2009 in Lucky Brand Jeans stores, major department stores and specialty retailers nationwide.

Jordan Weymouth Richards and her winning design. I'm loving her cute polka dot dress and her handbag brings a punch of color to fall's muted palette. Jordan’s handbag was inspired by the naturally occurring patterns, organic and flowing in the deep dark jungles along the banks of Africa’s Congo River. Keep your eyes open for her on the fashion scene as she hopes to start her own clothing line that will have a philanthropic twist.

Benyam Assefa won the judges over with his angled twist to the classic black handbag. His design was inspired by the multi-functional use for the bag. The idea was to create a strong identity merging the image of the 4-leaf clover onto the body of the bag while still making the bag functional and keeping with the Lucky slouchy aesthetic. He would also love to launch his own creative lifestyle brand with a focus on footwear and accessories. With how well put together he was (I was admiring his suit all night) I can just imagine how sleek and fab his accessories and footwear will be.

Mmmmm cupcakes... They had some kind of chocolate syrup in the middle that was heaven. And the buttercream icing is beyond words!!

A few years ago I spotted an armor ring on Persia White from Girlfriends and was obsessed with getting one for myself. I managed to track one down on Ebay from a Canadian jewelry designer but lost it in the midst of moving. I was heartbroken...the ring was so unique and I received so many compliments. Starting my search again, I could only find goth and medieval inspired rings which I'm sure I could pull off, but really wasn't my style. You couldn't believe how excited I was when I saw my beloved at fashionology.nl. They are currently out of stock but I will be stalking the site to get my hands on one.

Thanksgiving dinner was the bomb (as usual) and my Gramma cooked for over 30 friends and family. I have to give it up to her cause I would've told them ninjas to go to Ihop and call it a day. We had 3 large turkeys (in addition to a ham and BBQ wings) and there was none left for leftovers! I contributed by baking a cranberry pecan bread.

Here is my Thanksgiving outfit. I flat ironed my hair the day before and wore a bantu knot out to bed. Took it out in the morning and this is what I had. I topped it off with a multichain headband from Charlotte Russe.
