The 'Ten of Cups' And Mars in Pisces

The sun will be in the Last third of Pisces on the 11th March until the 20th March. Golden Dawn assigned a Minor Arcana card to each Decan, a Decan being a third of each Zodiac sign. Each Minor Arcana card, except the Aces, gets one of these thirds. You can see a chart HERE.

This means, that the 'Ten of Cups' will be the next Tarot card for this Decan and its picture represents the qualities of the Mars in Pisces

Mars in astrology represents pure power. He is the driving force behind everything we do. Once we have decided to do something with our heart and mind, we need the energy to actually do it, and this is where Mars provides the energy.

The sign of Pisces is a water sign - the same association as the suit of Cups, with Water representing our feeling and emotions. People born under the sign of pieces primarily live life through their feelings and emotions and are very sensitive to their surroundings, and always seek to find a way to satisfy and expand them further. However, our surroundings are always changing, making it hard for Pisces to keep up emotionally and can become confused and moody in the process!

Now when Mars puts power and driving force to Pisces, he enables Pisces to keep up with the world world around him and to act upon the knowledge of the world that he has gained from his sensitivity to it. He no longer sits around and dreams of higher purposes or idealises of how the world should be. He now has the power and determination to touch the rainbow of high ideals, in the Ten of Cups! But Mars is not solely responsible for the achievements of Pisces ....

In the two previous cards, Saturn in the Eight of Cups has taught him to turn his back on those things that do him harm emotionally, and Jupiter in the Nine of Cups taught him to avoid seeking satisfaction in things that will do him no good. Now that Pisces has learnt emotional control and discipline, he is able to use the the power of Mars to drive along the simple and straight road towards real happiness and contentment.

The picture of the 'Ten of Cups' shows a couple with the arms outstretched in unison towards a beautiful rainbow holding ten cups within its arch. Two children skip together and a little house on a hill can be seen in the distance. The picture shows an idealistic way of living and a happiness that everyone can connect with. There is no drama, no oversized house with two cars on the drive, no weight issues, drug problems or marital misery. Just pure love and harmony. Mars has given Pisces the necessary power to achieve the happiness and contentment he has always dreamed of. And because Pisces has learnt to deal regret, loss and heartbreak through the lessons of Saturn and to avoid the cheap thrills, and instant feel-goods through the lessons of Jupiter, he has achieved the dream he had spent so long imaginging.

The 'Ten of Cups' shows that we have obtained that which is really good for us. We have not let ourself be misguided by our emotions and feelings, or sought after emotional satisfaction in instant feel goods, and that we have learnt from heartbreak, regret and loss. It tells us we have discovered and achieved the true meaning of happiness and will experience it for a long time to come. Happiness really does come from the free and simple things in life!

Go Out! Even Though You're Ill!

I have a stinky cold today! And the day I have cold is the day I decide to try something more technical on the card reading front. Probably not a good idea when I'm feeling so good good, but hey! It's cheering me up, I will go to languish on the sofa when I am finished though!

I wanted to find out about my day ahead, so concentrating on this and using the Tarot of The Angels in the form of a mini Celtic cross (because I am quite fairly limited to using a certain number cards to preserve copyright), I drew from 1-6, the 'King of Wands', the 'Ace of Pentacles', 'The Stars', the 'Ace of Wands', 'Five of Swords' and 'Justice'.

The centre card - the 'King of Wands' tells me the focus of this reading. The 'King of Wands' is a man of physical energy, and a man who is used to having a constant and fixed amount of energy, something I don't have right now being ill! Court cards also talk about other people in the my life, so I would say that the 'King of Wands' is talking about my Ol' Man who just happens to being have a few days off work! Handy for me being ill, but not so good being ill when me and the Ol' Man good being doing other stuff than watching me cough, sneeze and hack! So in this case, I'd say the the 'King of Wands' means that someone else is going to provide the constant source of energy today.

The 'Ace of Pentacles' crosses the 'King of Wands' and tells me what crosses, or rather what stands in the way of the 'King of Wands' or favourable influences. The 'Ace of Pentacles' is a card that says "focus on work and the abundance it brings" or that there are new opportunities. Well there is no work for me, as the Ol' Man is doing it, seeing as I'm ill, and the Ol' Man has no work because he's on holiday! So perhaps the 'Ace of Pentacles' is emphasising that I have no commitments to work, and I'm free do choose what I want to do (languish on the sofa!). I do have the opportunity to start my next course paper too, which would be fitting for the 'Ace of Pentacle's, because my course is a form of work and hopefully will lay the potential groundwork of working professionally in my line of study.

'The Stars' tell me the best possible outcome at the moment, which probably means that everything is going to go rather well! 'The Star' is a major arcana card, making a bigger reading emphasis, and is a healing energy too, so perhaps I will start to get better quickly with the Ol' Man helping out, she definitely indicates high hopes. I am going to use her as a healing card to meditate on today, she is very soothing to look at.

The 'Ace of Wands, tells me of influences that are going on in the background that I'm not aware of so, like the 'Ace of Pentacles', I am going to assume that this card means I need to focus on my energy which although low - like the number of the suit - will grow again after today. The suit of Wands represents opportunity for adventure too, and I would love to go on one, especially as its a lovely sunny day. But I probably shouldn't because I am too ill. Either this cards warns me to stay in and rest, through the rose's cross shaped form, or it tells me that there is the opportunity to go on some sort of an adventure. 'The Star' does seem to indicate that I will heal well, and things will go as I hope, so perhaps I will get away with going out!

The 'Five of Swords' - who looks awfully like 'The Devil' card - tells me about past influences. This number five relates to change and discord and the suit of swords relates to thoughts and the way we act them out. This particular card indicates that I have served my own needs in the past, or put myself before others. Well when the Ol' Man is at work and the children have gone to school, it just me and the little one at home! However, when he's been off work before, perhaps I let him look after the children a bit too much, while I did my own thing!

But when the the 'Ace of Pentacles' and the 'Ace of Wands' indicate new opportunities today, I think the 'Five of Swords' means that in the past I have wanted to do things, like my course, writing and housework, but couldn't because I had the little one to look after, or I have squeezed them in while the little one is asleep or is happy watching the telly. Whether squeezing them in or not doing them at all, I've felt awful and guilty for looking after myself, or have been annoyed because I've been unable to do them at all! But now the cards are telling me that now I have the opportunity to do the things I've wanted without feeling like I am leaving out the little one, or being annoyed because I cannot do them at all.

The last card, 'Justice' tells me about future influences and of looks like the opposite of the 'Five of Swords'. Rather than feeling like I have been unjustified in trying to carry out my work, today I will feel justified because I can do my work now that the Ol' Man is able to take care of the rest!

So the reading, tells me that the Ol' Man is here to help me today (King of Wands), giving me the opportunity to do all the things I'd hopped to do (The Star) which are to work and go out (Ace of Wands and Pentacles), without feeling like I am serving my own needs (Five of Swords, Justice)

Perhaps I'l leave the sofa languishing until later then!

Well, this day was rather surprising! The Ol' Man and I went up the mall to get dinner, but when we got there we didn't fancy anything to eat and began to wonder why we even went there in the first place. We decided to have a look around the shops anyway.

At some point my woman's inclination to shopping therapy became aroused and I decided to look for some things that the children needed but had, had no luck in getting. Come the end of the day, I had found and bought all the things they needed at bargain price and within my budget, with enough to buy a slap-up spaghetti and meatballs for the family, and even my Mum who I invited around after work to eat! The 'Ace of Pentacles' did the bring opportunities and abundance to get my children the things they needed. The 'Ace of Wands' did present the energy and an adventure at the shopping mall and the 'King of Wands' in the form of the Ol' Man and his car did a great job in providing me with support and energy. 'The Star' and 'Justice' told me that I would make good decisions that day and I felt happy and justified that the children had the things they needed. And the lovely dinner at the end brought balance and harmony. I did spend the rest of the evening feeling knackered, snotty and sick but hey! It was worth it. Perhaps the healing element of 'The Star' will kick in later!

Court Appearance Reading - UPDATED!

Will The World End In 2012?

Actually I asked the Tarot "What do I need to know about the world in the year 2012" as Tarot is good at giving advice rather than yes or no answers. I would suppose that if the world is going to end as we know it in 2012, cards showing doom and gloom would show up, but in this case I got the 'Eight of Wands', 'The High Priestess' and the 'Knight of Swords'. The deck I am using is the Golden Botticelli Tarot. Now, I am slightly worried about all the hullabaloo about the Mayan calender, solar maximums and flares, pole shifts and what not, but reason tells me that the world ending in 2012 exactly is most unlikely.

The 'Eight of Wands' is quite a reassuring card because it suggests physical movement and energy, which may mean that the world will keep on turning in 2012 and I will be here doing all the things I would normally do. On the other hand, it may mean that the earth itself will move in a completely new direction so perhaps the earth will shift poles as one dooms day theory suggests. Perhaps the angel with it's aimed bow and arrow implies that meteors and asteroids will rain down on earth. But when all is said and done, this card is a minor 'everyday' card, and not a card of major emphasis which I would expect if the world were going to end!

'The High Priestess' is an interesting card because it can imply emptiness and 'nothingness' or that something that is waiting to happen and will be revealed at some point. It might also mean that something bad is going to happen and the world will come to nothing, or that an unknown threat is going to show up and destroy the earth as we know it. However I look at it, 'The High Priestess' tells me that something will be revealed to me when the time is right!

'The High Priestess' is associated with the Moon which represents the unconscious mind implying that my concerns regarding the future of the earth are rooted deeply in my subconscious. Whether it is something I am unconsciously aware of, or whether it's because I am the worrying type, I am uncertain. The human instinct to live and survive is wired into the subconscious, so we are bound to worry about the future of the earth mother. But I am also inclined to think it is just worry and that 'The High Priestess' in this reading means that the year 2012 will bring unknown potential for me. And if there is potential for me, then the earth will be there to support me so I can reach that potential!

The 'Knight of Swords' is an intelligent person who thinks too much. He's always changing his mind and rushing into challenges without thinking first. Which can be a great thing in some circumstances and a bad thing in others. But the fact that this card tells me that I will be running around and thinking too much suggests that life will go on as normal, well, for me anyway! This card also suggests that I should stop giving thought to all the doomsday theories and conspiracies because I am never to find the truth. The future is unknown (High Priestess) and I should continue to live out my everyday life as normal (Eight of Wands, Knight of Swords)

(ETA 08/03/20010) This card is actually the 'Page of Swords', I saw Knave and thought Knight, my bad. The Page of Swords represents problems with thoughts and the action we take, I also to take him as a person who would spread gossip and lies and deliberately try to mess things up!, So perhaps I am going to run into problems in 2012 or, I am going to find out that all the 'end of world gossip', is just that, gossip.

Tarot is a friend to me, it talks to me in my language, not in complicated symbols, or hidden meaning. Tarot will advise me in a way I will understand it, which is why I haven't not taken these cards to portray more than just a simple of idea of what to expect in 2012.

So all in all, there are is no 'Death', 'Devil', 'Judgement', 'Tower', or 'Moon' which are all cards that might hint at the world ending in 2012, There are no minor arcana cards of heartbreak, regret, loss, martyrdom, grief, or poverty.

These cards cards don't go into any detail at all. They simply suggest that I will be running around doing all the things I want to do (Eight of Wands, Knight of Swords), Exactly what i'll be doing I won't know until 2012 because the future is only the outcome of my actions leading up to it (High Priestess).

(ETA 08/03/20010) These cards don't go into any detail at all. The first thing I thought when I turned the 'Eight of Wands' was "phew, things are going to carry on as normal". The 'High Priestess' tells me that my intuition is correct, my gut feeling being that we will be just fine and dandy. While the 'Page of Swords', tells me that the end of times gossip, is just gossip.

I have received this very interesting idea about the 'High Priestess'...

"Muse, after reading your reply another thought popped into my head. The year begins and ends with "2" and the major trump you got is 2! The High Priestess. How do you get to 2? well, you count "0, 1, 2." There we have 2012. So maybe the Priestess has more to do with that year than I would have thought. What that really means I do not know."

A recent Tarot reading has made me realise that the 'Eight of Wands' can literally mean 'to receive news', and I have realised the Knave of Swords is actually the equivalent to the 'Page of Swords' in the Golden Botticelli deck (my bad!!). I would literally take the 'Page of Swords' to mean problems with the way we are thinking, or the way we are handling or taking action against something.

So, these cards might read as....I shall receive news (Eight of Wands), in 2012 (High Priestess), that there is a problems with my idea that the world will end that year? (Page of Swords).

What Do I Need To Know About My Court Appearance?

I have to go to testify in court on the 8th of March against a young man who beat up my neighbour. I am not looking forward to it, but I have to do my duty. The young man who attacked my neighbour up was a horrible little thug who took great delight in showing my neighbour 'his moves' just because he tried to stick up for himself against the druggie neighbours we all have to put with here on my 'Cancel Estate'! Horrendous gang bullying began against my neighbour afterwards, and he had to move to another part of town to escape them. Now after identifying the young man who beat him, I have to testify in court because he denies the whole thing.

So I thought I would use the benefits of Libra Moon (truth and balance) and ask the Tarot what I need to know about going to court that day. Using the Touchstone Tarot I drew the 'Eight of Wands', 'Page of Swords' and 'The Tower'.

The 'Eight of Wands' suggest actual movement. Is it telling me to go to court? I am going, although it has crossed my mind to back out. The man I am testifying against is a gang thug, and I am concerned about revenge and repercussion as he does know where I live.

The first thing I learned about the 'Page of Swords' was that it meant problems with litigation! Does this mean that there will problems with the trial? Or does it mean there will be trouble with the man I am testifying against. I was hoping that he will change his plea when he realises the witness has turned up. I remember somebody telling me that criminals always plead 'not guilty' until they know the chances of winning the case, and they won't know the chances of winning the case until they know who is going to testify against them. They either get away with it, or get credit for changing their plea before the trial. This would be a good option for me, because I wont actually have to stand up in court, just arrive like the 'Eight of Wands'.

'The Tower' always looks scary and dismal. Somebody has obviously had a shocking surprise, as they watch their world come down on them!

If I piece all these cards to together, they tell me that my arrival in court will cause problems for the man I am testifying against, and his hope of getting away with it will be dashed! Or, if we keep the focus on me, I might be tempted to say that the 'Page of Swords' means I might mess up my testimony, especially if I get cross-examined like they do on the films! I might break under the pressure of 'The Tower' and mess it all up!

The thing is, the 'Eight of Wands' says my actual arrival at court will cause the problems of the 'Page of Swords', and if I add 'The Tower' I think means that the the problem will cause the cause trial to collapse, perhaps because of lack of other evidence, or because it will go straight to sentencing instead.

The 'Eight of Wands' is a fire card and so is 'The Tower' because it is associated with Mars. The 'Page of Swords' is an Air card. Air and Fire are friendly and active, so these cards all work together. Since it is my reading I can hop that these cards are working in favour of me!

Generally, the cards are telling me that my arrival in court will cause problems in some way, and the case will take unexpected turn! Let's hope it's a pleasant one!

UPDATE: 04/03/2010

Well I was nearly right! The 'Eight of Wands' in this case meant receiving news! The Witness office just rang me up to tell me that the case was being discontinued. She couldn't tell me why exactly, just that they weren't' going ahead with it.

So the cards literally read that I would receive news (Eight of Wands, Page of Swords) that the case had collapsed (Tower). So it was an unexpected surprise for me, a pleasant one, because I no longer have to go to Court. and a shock because I am upset that my neighbour won't get justice in this instance. The 'Page of Swords' accurately portrayed problems with the case, and 'The Tower' literally meant collapsed case!

The 'Nine of Cups' And Jupiter in Pisces

Jupiter is the the wise, compassionate leader. He is the jolly king who wants the best for his people and rules with love and gentle discipline. He's a bit like Santa in way! He adds a positive, outwardly expanding energy to everything he touches! He's the opposite to Saturn too! Because where Saturn teaches us discipline by refusing to help us lead fulfilling lives, Jupiter gives us what we want, and lets us learn from our mistakes later on!

When Jupiter sits in the sign of Pisces he brings a lovely feeling of contentment, to the Piscean's emotions, and quenches the Pisces's need for emotional satisfaction, a bit like having a big, fancy dinner and a nap brings a sense of immediate happiness. Granted always having a big dinner and a nap will make you overweight and lazy, and you'll soon realise that you can't do it all the time without consequences, and this is where Jupiter brings his lesson. Jupiter will help us to get what we want, but will leave it up to us to decide whether it will actually be a good thing or not!

This is represented in the picture of the 'Nine of Cups' which shows a jolly, plump looking man, we'll call him Jupiter. Jupiter sits in front nine cups high up on a table covered with a blue cloth, with a wry grin on his face. The cups are filled with emotional contentment and satisfaction and they are lined up, ready for the taking! The jolly man, who looks like he's has a few big cups himself, has his arms crossed - which in human body language means that we guarding our space, or rather, the man is guarding the cups behind him. The wry grin and the crossed arms gives us the feeling that he's saying, "is it really what you want? If it you can have it!"

This card means that we can have whatever it is that we think will satisfy our needs, be it love, cable TV, that holiday, a new iPod, a big dinner, etc. But will it be a good thing for us? If it is, and we think we deserve it, then we can take the cups and experience the immediate emotional satisfaction. But once the cup is empty, then what? We can go on many holidays, watch TV, eat big dinners, but we will end up being dissatisfied again at the end and want for more. We're looking for quick fixes, rather than long-term solutions.

So, this card tells us that our emotional wants and desires are about to be satisfied, but asks us if it really will brings us contentment and satisfaction, or disappointment and the need for more? If you think you know what you need, then by all means, enjoys Jupiter's gift to you!

A Love'ly Sunday!

Today is Sunday! It's raining in again, so we're all stuck in again for the day, and while I don't feel so powered up, I do feel restless, why I don't know. The Moon is making crappy alignments with Jupiter and the Sun right now, so I'll blame that!

So what has Tarot got to tell me today? Using the Lover's Path Tarot I shuffled (having thought about the day ahead) and drew the 'Princess of Cups', 'The Lovers' (Love) and 'The Wheel of Fortune (Fortune).

The Lovers Path Tarot

The 'Princess of Cups' tells me that I am fairly emotional today. I am still loving my Tarot and Astrology writing and everything is OK, although I feel restless and that everything isn't OK. I do have much to love at the moment! The children, my partner, my writing, Twitter (although it seems to becoming an obsession! Will have to keep an eye on it!) Perhaps trying to take part in all the things I love is causing me restlessness in itself.

'The Lovers' is another emotional love card, and this time a bit more powerful in meaning. I think this card reiterates my feels above and that I want to love everything at the same time!

I have added both the 'Page of Cups' and the 'Knight of Cups' to represent the 'Princess of Cups' in the Lover's Path Tarot.

'The 'Wheel of Fortune' indicates a positive change concerning love and feelings, if I take into account the two previous cards. Now this positive change could be the Ol' Man just came back with the chocolate goodies! Or that something else will occur in the near future. Perhaps I'm not going to know what this positive event will be, because it will come from an external influence or perhaps my current emotional state is set to gather momentum and continue. 'The Wheel of Fortune' is associated with Jupiter in astrology, so perhaps the positive change will arise when the Moon moves clear of Jupiter! Either way my current emotional state is set to blossom!

Generally, these cards accurately tell me that I am placing my focus on how I am feeling and my desire to take part in all the things I love, all at the same time (Princess of Cups). Add some power and passion into the bargain (The Lovers) and a touch luck (Wheel of Fortune), and today looks set to become 'love'ly!

It just occurred to me that The Lover's Path deck may be influencing the love emphasis, however the 'Princess of Cups and 'The Lovers' are emotional and love'y cards!

Don't Let Your Passions Run Away With You!

My last reading was full of energy and power and the tenseness I was feeling that day. I still feel really driven and outgoing but in a happier rather than frustrated way! It's amazing how a little sunshine can make you feel! So I'm doing a bit of writing before going out for a good walk even though the last time I went out involved pulling every muscle in my body dragging my little boy up a slippery, muddy and steep hill! I had still felt pent up but too tired to care!

Using the Goddess Tarot I shuffled while thinking about the day ahead and drew, the 'Prince of Swords', 'The Tower' (Oppression), and 'The Lovers' (Love).

The 'Prince of Swords' gives me the impression of too much thinking and doing! Aspiring and quick thinking too, and yet erratic . He reflects my Tarot and Astrology writing flurry over the last couple days, which I have enjoyed but a little voice has been saying to chill out and take my time a little more.......

'The Tower' or ''Oppression' in The Goddess Tarot came up in my last reading and represents power and determination to me right now. I have been feeling a lot of power and determination over the last few days especially within my Tarot an Astrology writing but I am feeling a little more even, although still excited and outgoing! (keep getting distracted by twitter while I write this, hence the Prince!)

I have added both the 'Page of Swords' and the 'Knight of Swords' to represent the 'Prince of Swords' in The Goddess Tarot.

But this flurry of erratic thinking, power and determination is giving way to the love of 'The Lovers' (Love) card rather than need to control and dominate like 'The Emperor' in my last reading. Normally 'The Lovers' represents choices' decisions, pursuing the heart or the head, but The Goddess Tarot focuses on the qualities of love, like sensuality, creativity,and beauty for example. I shall try to keep my focus on my love and enjoyment of writing rather than to let my passion for it control me.

I may also be presented with some sort of dilemma today perhaps by someone who has a problem with me (Prince of Swords, Tower). I can't see it happening because my life is rather predictable right now, but hey! You never know!

Too Much Energy!

I feel really pent up this morning! At least the sun is shining, so I'm off out to release my energy! I think I have spent far to much time writing my astrology blog! Anyway, I thought I would do a quick reading to see what's happening, that I might not be aware of. So using the Infinite Visions Tarot I drew the 'Ace of Wands', 'The Emperor' and 'The Tower'.

Now the first thing that strike me is that these cards reek of power! The 'Ace of Wands' signifies that the reading is about pure energy! 'The Emperor' is a powerful man but he control it and his kingdom for that matter. 'The Tower' is power that has been aimed at a target!

These cards tell me that I am putting too much energy into my Tarot and Astrology writing (Ace of Wands, The Tower). I want to be good at Tarot and Astrology master the art (Emperor) and yet throwing lots of energy at it, is not going to help me get good in an instant! Or is it? 'The Tower' and 'The Emperor' tells me that I am using my energy to break out into a new realm. 'The Tower' destroying my kingdom of blog writing, also tells me I need to take a break. Because whether I succeed in mastering the arts or not, it going to be frustrating trying to control this writing passion continuously.

I don't know why, but I feel really driven to do lots of things at the moment. I am passionate about my Tarot and Astrology writing and have putting a lot of effort into it. At the same time I am putting too much effort and its become frustrating. The planetary alignments, as far as I have managed to interpret hem (using Tarot) imply that we are emotionally orientated with a need to branch out and find ourselves spiritually and emotionally. Yet some planets and aspects aren't interested in us doing this and ends up making the whole process frustrating. Do I fight it? Or go with it? I'll let you know when I've worked that out :)

Are Jordan and Alex Reid Going To Have A Baby?

Now Jordan and Alex Reid are married, what are their family plans? My last reading on Jordan and Alex showed the 'Empress' in the last position and while I did not specifically interpret it Jordan becoming pregnant, it does confirm Jordan's current intentions. Using the Sensual Wicca Tarot I drew 'Death', the 'Four of Pentacles' and 'The High Priestess'.

Sensual Wicca Tarot

'Death' tells me of a loss that is beyond their control. Perhaps Jordan's tragic miscarriage with Peter had led to fertility issues or relates to Alex Reid's ability to have children. It has been reported that Alex may not be able to conceive, perhaps 'Death' confirms that he has lost his fertility.

The 'Four of Pentacles' tells me of a struggle to keep things stable on the home and work front. Perhaps Jordan's and Alex will struggle to keep up with their work commitments, ultimately hindering their time to be together, which is obviously needed if Jordan is to become pregnant! This card also tells me that their family is likely to stay the same in size, and they will find it difficult to produce additional offspring.

The 'High Priestess' is the card that really tells me that Jordan is unlikely to get pregnant by Alex. Whereas the 'Empress' is the fertile mother, 'The High Priestess' is a virgin, she represents the women without child.

In general, all three cards show that Jordan is unable and most unlikely to become pregnant by Alex Reid.

Aces, Bluffing, Trickery and Ironing?!

My little one is off-color this morning. I can't work out whether its the delayed reaction from his injections last week, or his teeth. He has been sick and had some terrible nappies and looks really quite pale. He seems otherwise OK and is quite perky. Looks like we'll be staying in today, which is just as well because I have the ironing to do (groan), unless I can convince the Ol' Man to take the children up the park!

Anyway, here is my Tarot reading for today using the Ancestral Path Tarot, I thought about the day ahead shuffled and drew the 'Eight of Pentacles' (Sacred Circles), 'Ace of Swords' and the 'Ace of Pentacles' (Sacred Circles).

Ancestral Path Tarot

The 'Eight of Pentacles' (Sacred Circles) confirms my need to do the ironing and the housework in general!

The 'Ace of Swords' tells me that a new line of thinking will come up, probably my way of thinking coming up against the Ol' Man's since we've been bickering a bit this morning! He's grumpy cos I made him get up this morning so I could get a lie-in! The 'Ace of Swords' says to me 'new challenge' too. I can indeed foresee that today will be a challenge and a sword fight too he he!

'The 'Ace of Pentacles' (Sacred Circles) tells me of new beginnings at home, perhaps signifying that I'll get my housework finished so I can start new projects like my course assignments. It also reminds me that the children are back to school tomorrow! So I will have a little peace and quiet!

Two Aces means "Trickery" according to A. Waite! And since Pentacles and Swords are Earth and Air cards respectively, I know that - according to elemental dignities - Earth and Air are enemies and weaken each other. So perhaps these cards mean that my family and I have entirely different idea about how we will spend the day and will try to call my bluff! Or perhaps I'll be at conflict over myself trying to decide whether to do my hobbies or the housework! I'll have to keep an eye out for this "trickery" and see how these cards play out :)

To Shop Or Not To Shop?

I'd already decided to leave the children with their dad and to go shopping today as I need a break. But now I'm thinking that it's such a sunny day I might take them all for a walk to the next village, and shop in the charity shops there instead.

Anyhow, lets see if the cards help me decide! Using the Haindl Tarot, I asked "Tell about the day ahead", shuffled and drew, the 'Seven of Pentacles' (Stones), 'Six of Pentacles' (Stones) and the 'Three of Wands'.

Haindl Tarot

The 'Seven of Pentacles' (Stones) says 'failure' at the bottom of the card! I've thought that the 'Seven of Pentacles' in the Rider-Waite deck meant a time of success, assessment and choices but looking at the crop of pentacles in the Rider-Waite card, I've realised that the crop is yellowed and wilting, because the man has failed to harvest his investment. The exploded tree in the Haindl Tarot is also ruined and will not fruit anymore. So how does the apply to me? My first thought is to do with the Ol' Man's debit card! I was planning to use his card to go out shopping today, because my bank balance is wilting but this card tells me that the Ol' Man's bank balance is wilting too!

The 'Six of Pentacles' (Stones) is called success. Failure and success? The Haindl card shows a whole in a cave with a bright yellow sunlight shining through. Perhaps this tells me to go out and enjoy the sunshine at the park instead of shopping, because their is no money in the stone cave of this card! The Rider-Waite shows a well-dressed man giving away a fair share of his money to those people who look to need more than he does. Is this card telling me that the Ol' Man does have enough money to spare? Or does it mean that I have to spend my money on the most important things first, and not a retail therapy trip for me? Perhaps it means I should go to the local charity shops instead. Shopping for fancy clothes whilst giving money to charity would be a good reflection of the Rider-Waite 'Six of Pentacles'!

The Haindl 'Three of Wands' is called 'Virtue' and shows three wands blocking the way to the church door while the Rider-Waite card shows a man watching the ships come in, waiting for his efforts to bring back rewards. The suit of Wands is an energetic, hard-working suit, and this suit applies to how I feel about this week. The children have been off on half-term and I am knackered! I've worked really hard to keep the children busy doing fun things, keeping the house tidy etc. etc. and now I want a break doing something I enjoy and in peace! I'd love to be standing where that man is, in warmth and peace overlooking the bay in the same way I'd like to walk though Haindl's church door for some peace and sanctity! However I think the wands blocking my route to sanctity in the Haindl's card means that I cannot pursue my shopping trip whilst both the Haindl and Rider-Waite cards show that 'patience is a virtue' and I must wait for a better time to reward myself!

So if anything, these cards reflect my plans to go shopping alone to a tee! But are they telling me that I should do it? These cards both show my plans and hopes for the day but they also tell me that my plans are not a good idea because the first two cards don't give a good outlook on the money situation, and the 'Three of Wands' tells me that I should wait a bit longer for my ship to come in and take me away for a break!

I think I will do a 'Six of Pentacles' and take everyone for a walk to the next village, where I can shop in the charity shops, the kids can get a walk in the sunshine and look for second hand books, and the Ol' man can get some fresh air and have a nice coffee when we get there. That way everyone is happy and I'll wait, like the 'Three of Wands' to get my peace and quiet later...I hope.

The Phoenix and The Firewood

I haven't done any personal Tarot reading since the children have been on half term! It's been raining and too hectic to fit one in! Anyway, I am attempting to do one today. The children are still off school and running riot around the living room , but here goes...

Using the The Alchemical Tarot: Renewed, I shuffled whilst thinking "tell me about today", and drew 'Judgement', 'The High Priestess' and the 'Ten of Wands'.

The Alchemical Tarot: Renewed

Judgement - Transformation! This card signifies a bigger theme in my life and tells me of my desire for the children and I to be free from this little flat in a large, unfriendly city. It's no good bringing up children here when the only place to go, weather permitting, is the same local park estate. I can't let the children run around on their own outside, the neighbour isn't wholesome enough and drugs and street crime prevail. In short I feel trapped! I hope 'Judgement' predicts a release in some form rather than just pointing out how I feel right now.

'The High Priestess' signifies potential laying dormant and tells me that my inner desires, my 'inner me' wants to escape! 'The High Priestess' connects to ''Judgement because to me, 'Judgement' talks of my inner desire to escape my life and transform it into something less restricting. She also talks of the unknown waiting to happen and even the dark night of the soul!

The 'Ten of Wands' shows a phoenix rising out the fire, symbolising the same sort of transformation as 'Judgement' but on a smaller scale and with a focus on creative energy. Traditionally, the 'Ten of Wands' shows a man burdened by ten wands on his back travelling home, but in this card the ten wands are made into a fire, through which a phoenix rises - symbolising regeneration of past creative endeavours. Perhaps the Man in the traditional card shows that his creative endeavour was to collect fire wood, so he could take them home and transform them into heat and warmth and a source for cooking. I just got to work out what creative endeavour of mine this card applies to!

Since I interpreted 'Judgement' and 'The High Priestess' as my desire for freedom, my creative energy would be all that I have done to put my life in its current situation, which would be to meet a man, settle down and have a family, which at first expanded my life but now restricts me, because without them I would be free to move around and do as I choose. Now I have to make choices based on what is best for my children. My creative endeavours have also been learning the Tarot and astrology and writing my blogs, hoping that when the children are grown up I can travel around and read Tarot to bring in some sort of income. So I have collected my ten wands in the form of my partner, children and family life, but now I need to transform and regenerate my family life and myself into something new and better! Now for anyone who's thinking that I don't love my family, you are wrong. I wouldn't be the person I am now without them. They have done so much to help me grow as a person and I love them with all my heart and am thankful for the many blessings I have in my life. It's just that I need to give them and myself so much more.

So in summary, these three cards reflect my strong need to change the situation of my family and I (Judgement, Ten of Wands), into the one I secretly desire. And that is going to be the hard work that is shown in the 'Ten of Wands'! And yes, I am secretly hoping (High Priestess) that something will come along and magic my life into something better (Judgement, Ten of Wands).

The 'Eight of Cups' And Saturn in Pisces

The sun will be in the first third of Pisces on the 19th February until the 28/29th of February. Golden Dawn assigned a Minor Arcana card to each Decan, a Decan being a third of each Zodiac sign. Each Minor Arcana card, except the Aces, gets one of these thirds. You can see a chart HERE.

This means, that the 'Eight of Cups' will be the next Tarot card for this Decan and its picture represents the qualities of the Saturn in Pisces.

Saturn is the planet of discipline and control. He wants our lives to be kept ship-shape and above board, and he has no time for messing about! If we are unhappy with our lives Saturn highlights out troubles and urges us to do something about it. Setting us the difficult task of eliminating those things that make us unhappy or are un-beneficial to us.

The sign of Pieces is a water sign - the same association as the suit of Cups, with Water representing our feeling and emotions. People born under the sign of pieces primarily live life through their feelings and emotions and are very sensitive to their surroundings. However, our surrounding are always changing, so sometimes Pisces has trouble keeping up emotionally and can become confused and moody in the process!

Now, when Saturn gets a hold of Pieces, he has no time for emotional people! Saturn emphasises any confusion or emotional upheaval Pisces might be feeling and encourages them to get a more focused, rational and disciplined look on life.

This is reflected in the 'Eight of Cups'- which shows a landscape beset my sharp jagged rocks and a man walking away from eight cups. Both the sign of Pisces and the Suits of Cups are associated with water which represents our feelings and emotions. The cups in the picture represent the feelings and emotions while the jagged rock pools of water emphasise that the emotions and feelings are rocky and unsteady. Saturn's influence upon the man has urged him to walk away from his rocky feelings and emotions to seek a more focused, rational and disciplined outlook on life. It will be a hard task for the man which is why the man in the picture looks weary and tired at having to leave his feeling and emotions behind him.

This card teaches us that we cannot always live life through our emotions - we must stop concentrating on how we feel and instead focus on thinking rationally and objectively. It also teaches us then we must not hold on to things that make us unhappy, We must learn to cut our loses, put our troubles behind use and to move onto new pastures instead.

The Tarot Talks About Jordan and Alex Reid

Since the recent news that Jordan and Alex Reid have tied the knot, rumours and gossip have been flying around that the marriage is purely a publicity stunt concocted by Jordan. I thought I would add to the speculation and gossip by performing two Tarot readings that seek to find out Jordan's intentions towards Alex and vice versa.

"What are Jordan's intentions towards Alex Reid?"

Using the Transformational Tarot and asking "What are Jordan's intentions towards Alex Reid?" I shuffled and drew the 'Six of Wands', the 'Two of Wands' and 'The Empress'.

Transformational Tarot

The first two cards in Jordans reading are cards from the suits of Wands representing creative energy. An idea of creative energy would be when we put thoughts and ideas into action, or the hard work and enthusiam that's needed to be become successful at something

The 'Six of Wands' indicates that she has successfully completed a phase in a creative venture. This creative venture would most likely be her work as a model or ''it' girl. Jordan's work as a model is not only creative - having to continually promote herself in new outfits, make-up and sexy poses to create photographs that seek to please the public, her work is also very enterprising, involving much risk because her success relies on the public enjoyment of her new photo's. This is in addition to continually keeping the public attention on her, which she does by putting her rather intimate and controversial life on show! To apply this card to the question, this card tells me that Jordan sees her marriage to Alex as a success in terms of her career and in keeping herself in the public limelight rather than a celebration of love.

The 'Two of Wands' is another card of creative energy, particularly of personal power with the number two signifying a union. This cards suggests that Jordan not only sees her union with Alex as a victory in her personal career, but also as a new starting point to continue that success, especially when read with the next card, 'The Empress'. So far the cards reveal that Jordan's intentions are of power, rather than love, or even money. But we haven't read them all...

The last card, 'The Empress' is a Major arcana card and presents a bigger theme in this reading. 'The Empress' signifies motherhood, womanhood, growth, and sensuality, which are all aspects of Jordan's persona. This card tells me that her intentions are not only towards her children, but also to herself in terms of sensuality - Jordan loves to party, and from what we see in the media she enjoys her womanly sexuality. If we also take into account the two previous cards, 'The Empress' tell me that she is now fulfilled as a women and as a mother, as a result of the power she has gained from her marriage to Alex. I do not suggest that her relationship to Alex is purely for her own gain, but that her relationship to Alex has made her more fufilled as a woman and able to provide abundance for her children. We all love in different ways, perhaps Jordan's intentions towards Alex are positive, purely because their relationship makes her feel like a women and a success and this enables her to love him.

Using the same deck and asking "What are Alex Reid's intentions towards Jordan?" I shuffled and drew, the 'Queen of Cups', the 'Two of Cups' and the 'Ten of Wands'.

Transformational Tarot

The first two cards are Cup cards - the suit of Cups represents matters of the heart and tell me that Alex's intentions towards Jordan are heartfelt. 'The Queen of Cups' primarily represents a person in Alexs' life, so this Queen would represent how he see's Jordan. 'The Queen of Cups is a loving, romantic, dreamy women but, this card doesn't suggest that Jordan is a loving romantic women, but rather that these are Alex's feeling towards her. He is in love with her and he sees her as his dream women.

The 'Two of Cups' - meaning a union of love and bonding - confirms this. Quite simply the 'Queen of Cups' and the 'Two of Cups tells me that Alex is head over heals for Jordan!

The last card, the 'Ten of Wands' shares the same suit as Jordan's first two cards and is a card of energy, with the number ten signifying completion. This tells me that Alex is in the relationship for the long haul, is aware of Jordan's intentions towards him and her career and that he is quite willing to help her and see it through! He won't be letting Jordan get rid of him easily!

The Conclusion

To summarise, Jordan cards are energetic, dominating and outgoing cards, with the finishing card showing us that this energy is being channlled into something more passive and benign - even loving.

Alex's card are the opposite, they are passive, loving and laid back cards, with the last card signifying that his passiveness will be long lasting aspect in their releationship. If opposites attract this relationship will endure! However these cards tell me that their intentions conflict and this will not make for an easy, loving relationship.

So while these cards do imply that Jordan intentions are to gain power from the relationship, she is using that power to provide for her children and herself. The outcome is a good energy, but an energy that needs Alex but does not include him. But while Alex is so desperately in love and so willing to help her, I dont think he will notice! Perhaps this is what Jordan wants!

A New TV And A Happy Housewife?

It's unusual for me to do a Tarot reading in the evening, but since I didn't have time this morning and because I know I won't have the time tomorrow, I'm doing it now! Using the 'Housewives Tarot' I shuffled the cards whilst thinking of tomorrow and drew 'The Hermit', the 'Eight of Swords' and the 'Queen of Wands'.

The reason I won't be able to do my morning read tomorrow is because I'm off shopping for a new TV with my Dad. Now, 'The Hermit' is not a card I would expect to lead the reading because I'm off out, not staying in! 'The Hermit' tells me I need to take a good look at my life, to see where I am heading. So, I need to know what I'm looking for...

The 'Eight of Swords' appeared in my previous reading, in which I understood it to mean that I spending too much time writing my blogs and missing out on the good stuff like walks in the park, reading my books, meditating etc. I was swapping one spiritual quest for another and losing sight of what I actually wanted. I don't know why I am writing in the past tense because I'm still doing it and might be why 'The Hermit' is showing up to point this out. I have made one small advancement, which was to stop drinking coffee, whose withdrawal gave me a massive headache last night and this morning. I'm back on the tea which should me to calm down and take everything in my stride and not in a frenzied caffeine rush! I am keeping in mind an aim to slow down and organise my life better so I can do the things I love and not miss out on others. Then, hopefully, I won't feel as restricted and perhaps frustrated as the 'Eight of Swords'.

Housewives Tarot

This leaves the 'Queen of Wands', a warm, friendly and outgoing person. Hmmm... so, does this tell me that I'm going to be a 'Queen of Wands' tomorrow? Seems a bit off compared to the two previous cards. Might have to rethink.....um...

Perhaps then these cards relate to TV shopping tomorrow. 'The Hermit' may signify me looking for a good TV bargain with my dad. 'The Hermit' is a card of looking closely at something, perhaps its a TV! Perhaps the 'Eight of Swords' signifies having a restricted choice of TVs, with the 'Queen of Wands' signifying me being happy having found something suitable in the end!

I could go a little deeper with this reading though. The 'Queen of Wands' reminds me of the Nurse who gave my little one his injections this afternoon. She was a lovely, very bouncy, chatty lady who got on my nerves a little bit and made me withdraw.

High energy people tend to take up all my energy and restrict me (Eight of Swords) which has made me think quite hard (The Hermit) how I would deal with reading for strangers, if I'm having trouble dealing with the friendly Nurse! Are the cards telling me to be outgoing and self assured as nurse? (Queen of Wands) Perhaps so. It's definitely something that I will have to think about!

Generally, these cards place emphasis on looking closely myself and my surroundings (The Hermit), which will in turn bring to light some noticeable restrictions (Eight of Swords). A warm and outgoing nature (Queen of Wands) will prevail in the end.

I went shopping for a TV with my Dad, looking in many shops, scrutinising all the specifications, like screen size, resolutions and value for money (Hermit) but my Dad thought we could get a better deal on-line, so we didn't get one that day!

I did really enjoy going out with my Dad, so I suppose while my hands were tied by my Dad's authority on the TV buying (Eight of Swords), I did have a great time going out with him, since we never hang out together. I was in fact happy leaving it to Dad to find a TV (he's a quality bargain master) so the 'Queen of Wands' was an accurate enough finish to the reading. In fact all the cards reflected the TV hunting very well!

The Spiritual Paradox

I'm still a bit puzzled by my last reading, well, it hasn't made any sense as yet, perhaps it will become clearer later on. Today I used the Faery Wicca Tarot and asked "what's happening today?" I drew the Eight of Swords (Aer), 'The Hanged Man', and the 'Nine of Pentacles' (Domhan).

The 'Eight of Swords' tells me that I am being blind to myself whilst 'The Hanged Man' tells me, take time out to work out what that is and to surrender to it. The 'Nine of Pentacles' tells me that there will be much to gain, if I do!

These cards are pointing out that I am forgetting to take time out from the PC to chill, relax and meditate. I started up an astrology blog yesterday, because I enjoy studying the Tarot's associations with astrology and love studying and watching the movement of the planets, however whilst I am really enjoy myself I know that I am losing focus of other areas in my life. You can't be very magical sat in front of the PC all the time! Can you?

'The Hanged Man' is astrologically associated with Neptune - who represents one's intuitive, spiritual, compassionate, psychic nature. 'The Hanged Man' is also a paradox, and so am I! I am trying to advance myself spiritually, writing about Tarot and Astrology and yet I am sacrificing my spiritual routines in doing do!

The 'Nine of Pentacles' suggests that I have found spiritual contentment now I have started up my Astrology blog. When looked at with the two previous cards it tells me that I must not lose sight of my responsibilities to myself and to take time out to relax too, because there will be much to gain spiritually and physically when I do. I also need to drink less coffee because its making me edgy!

Why Did Brittany Murphy Die? - An Update

According to Wikipedia - "At 08:00 (16:00 GMT) on December 20, 2009, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to "a medical request"[26] at the Los Angeles home Murphy and Monjack shared. She apparently collapsed in a bathroom. Firefighters attempted to resuscitate Murphy on the scene. She was subsequently transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:04 after going into cardiac arrest.

Shortly after her death, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told the Associated Press: "It appears to be natural." An autopsy was performed on December 21, 2009. Her death certificate listed the cause of death as "deferred".

On February 4, 2010, the Los Angeles County coroner stated that the primary cause of Murphy's death was pneumonia, with secondary factors of iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. The drugs ingested were all said to be prescription medications. Further details on the drugs involved are due to be released when a full report is published".

So it seems she ultimately died from a change in her heart as a result of pneumonia, with the use of multiple drugs and iron deficiency contributing to her death, perhaps she did mildly abuse herself through dieting. A very unfortunate and saddening tragedy."

Whatever Happens, Hang On In There!

Argh! It's a miserable cold, drizzly Monday, and after a horrible nights sleep I feel a bit narked off. This mornings cards didn't make my day feel much better either! Using the Gendron Tarot, I asked "What do I need to know today?" and drew 'The Tower', 'The Chariot' and 'Justice'.

The Gendron Tarot

The cards are all major Arcana cards, it seems there is a bigger theme going on, a bigger theme that I just don't want to deal with today!

'The Tower' indicates that something is going to kick me up the backside, 'The Chariot' tells me I need to just keep on going despite the kick up the kick up the backside and 'Justice' tells me that the butt kick will plateau and integrate itself into my life in a balanced way. Just have to work out what this kick ass theme is going to be!

It might be to do with my Tribunal appeal, which I was thinking of discontinuing since there seemed to be no point in carrying on with as my case had already been dealt with my the court. 'The Tower' fits because it was something I had forgotten about before it rudely steeped back into my life after waiting so long for it to go through. 'The Chariot' tells me to continue the appeal regardless of how I feel about it (a nightmare!), and 'Justice' implies that I will, well, get some justice! However I don't continuing the appeal will have a positive effect on my life, but perhaps I should do it anyway.

Perhaps 'Justice' implies that I will receive news of my Court appearance. I am due to appear in court in the near future to testify against someone accused of assaulting my neighbour. I'm not looking forward to it, but I'll do it because I'm not letting the horrible thug get away with it (Chariot). It does have its implications. I am concerned about revenge attacks from the accused (Tower), but then again, they can give it their best shot!

In a literal sense, perhaps someone close to me might have an accident (Tower) travelling (Chariot) which may see them get in trouble with the law! (Justice).

Generally, the theme of these cards tells me that there will be a sudden change in my life, that I may or may not like, but there will be a need to remain strong and to hang on in there, because my life will become more balanced and justified as a result.

UPDATE: 09/02/2010

OK, There was a sudden change, but it was of my own doing. I decided to start up an astrology blog and stayed up - somewhat compulsively - into the early hours doing it (Chariot). The reason I did it because I had fancied doing it for a while and felt lopsided not being able record my astrology thoughts too! So I do feel a bit more balanced as a result (Justice).

I am also going to go ahead with my appeal, despite not really wanting to. I thought I would go with the cards since there was nothing to lose, well, except more dignity!

Hey! I just thought! 'The Tower' is a humiliating card, since it implies being knocked down when you least expect it. 'The Chariot' is a card that say to get up and keep on going, regardless of how you feel. I just hope 'Justice' really does bring justice!

The 'Seven of Swords' and The Moon in Aquarius

The sun will be in the second third of Aquarius on the 9th February until the 19th of February. Golden Dawn assigned a Minor Arcana card to each Decan, a Decan being a third of each Zodiac sign. Each Minor Arcana card, except the Aces, gets one of these
thirds. You can see a chart HERE.

This means, that the 'Seven of Swords' will be the next Tarot card for this Decan and its picture represents the qualities of the Moon in Aquarius.

This card resembles the same qualities of the 'Five of Swords' in which Aquarius still seems unable to get on well with those around him! Where he seemed to confront others with his passionate thinking in the 'Five of Swords', he now seems to be be doing it behind their backs!

In astrology, the Moon represent our emotions and the way we express ourselves to others. Given that the typical Aquarian is is a intellectual free thinker, the 'Seven of Swords show how the Aquarian expresses his intellectual free thinking to other people, and not very well it seems!

The army camp in the card symbolises a system of thought that everyone must share for their goal to be achieved. All army soldiers must be trained to the same high standard and must be able to communicate and work well as a team in order to defeat the enemy. Therefore all soldiers have to share the same system of thought.

The man featured in the 'Seven of Swords' looks as though he has stolen the Army camp swords and is running away with them. Since the suit of Swords represents thoughts and intellect, the man represents the sign of Aquarius- a man who is primarily a 'thinking' man and the Moon represents how we express ourselves to others, then we would understand that the Swords in his hands are really his own thoughts that he his obviously unwilling to express them in the same way as others! He is certainly unwilling to express himself through the Army system of thought.

Simple put, Aquarius just wont express himself the way normal people do. He prefers to express himself his way and will not work as a team. As a result he detaches himself from everyone else appearing sly and cunning as a result.

This cards teaches us to not to behave the same way as everyone else just for the sake of it. When this card appears, it tells us that we must carry out our own wishes and express ourselves in the way we want rather than to try and fit in with everyone else.

It's a bright,warm sunny day and I can't wait to go out walking this afternoon. Asking "What do I need to know today?", I drew the 'King of Cups', the 'Ace of Wands' and 'The Devil' from the Spiral Tarot.

I know what this reading is about, the thing is I don't know if I should report on it because the person to which the reading relates may not be happy! But the purpose of this Diary is to think about how the Tarot relates to my life and it will serve no good to ignore or cover anything up. So, here goes....

The' King of Cups', being a court card, tells me this reading relates to somebody else, and that someone is a Publisher who contacted me yesterday to kindly point out that their link credits on my blog weren't where they'd hoped them to be. I think the Publisher is a 'King of Cups' because his position tells me it's his business and he wants it to perform the best that it can, whilst maintaining caring and compassionate business ethics.

'The Ace of Wands' highlights the driving force that wants to ensure that our creative and business endeavours are the best they can be. It also highlights this issue that has arose between us that concerns a link placement that satisfies both me and publisher.

'The Devil' is the card that told me what this reading was about. After I received the email from the publisher, I felt trapped and worried. I thought I had done the best that I could to make sure that the correct copyrights, names and publisher were prominent, so as to promote the Tarots but not to distract from my blog either. My blog wouldn't be much without displaying the beautiful Tarot's I am using and yet I don't want to turn my blog into an advertisement either. I also don't want to upset anyone, or cause an injustice, but to promote their work whilst I carry out mine. But if a publisher is unhappy and withdraws their permission, then my blog is nothing much at all. So it seems my hands are tied and 'The Devil' card is indeed understood.

Anyway those were my thoughts last night. Don't get me wrong, I am extremely grateful that I am able to use so many wonderful Tarot with permission, its just I want to make everyone happy without losing sight of the purpose of my blog.

After a bit of blog tweaking, I wrote back to the Publisher to offer a compromise. I really hope that the Publisher and I can come to a mutual agreement, but I'll have to wait and see. Additionally, 'The Devil' is a major Arcana card which emphasise a bigger theme in my life which in this case, for me, indicates that the future of my blog will always be in the hand of another and perhaps not to collect to many Tarot decks or play on Twitter to much!

I thought I was post a separate update to yesterday's reading, instead of my daily reading (cos I went shopping for lipstick!)

I didn't win the lottery, in fact nothing spectacular happened, except a prophetic dream and a realisation about Twitter.

I have linked this reading to Twitter because I mentioned luxury yesterday, not because Twitter is a luxury, per se, but rather a place to show off and get heard. Now I am not saying that everyone is there to show off, i.e accumulate a large amount of followers or most re-tweets, but a majority want just that, and it's very easy to sucked in. I did and it became addictive! The 'Nine of Pentacles' and 'The Sun, represent 'showing off' very well and 'The Sun' particularly indicates a need to be successful. Both 'The Sun' and 'The Tower' are Major Arcana cards are represent a higher, dominating theme or lesson. These two cards indicated that I would come to realise that Twitter was not was not all that it cracked up to be. That I was losing sight of what I wanted to achieve - which was to practice Tarot card reading and not gain the most followers or re-tweets! 'The Tower' in this case indicated a shake up of my current beliefs into something that would serve me better. I.e that I would go back to concentrating on learning and enjoying the Tarot and not being obsessed with popularity and the workings of Twitter. This reading help me come to this conclusion, I doubt that I would have realised what was happening until the cards appeared, and I am glad for it.

I also mentioned a prophetic dream because, last night, I dreamt that I had taken someone else's child home from school without realising it, causing much distress to the child parent. It was a weird, slightly worrying dream for me. Anyway, this morning, my neighbours little boy appeared on my doorstep, as I was just about to leave to take my girl to school, asking if he could go to school with me today! His mum had never asked me before, and I was slightly surprised that she'd ask me at all, being that she was a little cold towards me sometimes. Anyway, the realisation (The Sun) that I'd dreamt of taking somebody else child to school, and the fact that I was taking somebody elses child to school was a quite fitting surprise and a shock of 'The Tower'!

In the words of Catherine Tate's alter ego, "I aint bovvered!" It's raining again, and I don't want to be stuck in all day so here's to the weather cleaning up by lunchtime. Nothing exciting is really happening, except I'm looking forward to buying a new TV later on this week, that's as exciting as it gets!

Shuffling my Anna K Tarot while thinking of the day ahead, I drew, the 'Nine of Pentacles', 'The Sun' and 'The Tower'.

The 'Nine of Pentacles' and 'The Sun' give me a feeling of luxury. The 'Nine of Pentacles' tells me that I am already experience luxury or rather, that things are going really well at home, which they are.

'The Sun' tells me that I am going to experience something enlightening, something new, something I had dreamed about and this something is going to be life changing, says the 'The Tower' on the end. I hope the 'The Tower' brings change in a good way!

Personally I don't see it happening, and if I'm sceptical I might tempted to say that my comfortable home life, is going to change in a rather shocking way.

However I look at it, something big is going to happen to me and most likely in connection to my home. I'm off to choose some lottery numbers, just in case!

The 'Nine of Swords' (air) I can relate to, because something has come back to haunt me. I updated yesterdays Tarot reading to say that yesterdays card were warning me that my appeal was finally going to the Tribunal

However the fact that the Court has already decided the outcome has not been included in the appeal. So the 'Nine of Wands' is telling me to make sure I continue to stand my ground and to let the tribunal know about the courts decision which will considerably affect the outcome and let me be seen as the Empress I am!

Complex Issues and Big Events!

The sun is shining and I am happy! I'm still slightly taken by this weeks family revelations but in a good way. But now it's back to Monday morning and there is work to be done. I shuffled the 'Crow's Magick Tarot' whilst thinking about the day ahead and drew the 'Five of Pentacles' (coins), the 'Queen of Swords', and the 'Wheel of Fortune'.

Not too pleased about the 'Five of Pentacles' showing up again, things aren't that bad! Yes I am a little broke but I'll manage easy enough. The keywords says "concern, complexity' which leads me to think about my families recent revelations which are fairly complex things and may lead to difficult times.

The 'Queen of Swords' rings some alarm bells, that'll be my mum. I saw her yesterday to have a good all natter but her revelation involving a new love, she is excited, yet tense and I am concerned this she is rushing in, but she she is tough women (like the Queen of Swords) although sometimes cold and out of touch with her emotions. She is also a grown women, so I am staying out of her way, only lending an ear, if she needs one. I note that the symbols for the 'Queen of Swords' are Gemini and Aquarius. Gemini people alternate between the rational and emotional which is incredibly fitting for my mother right now, consider her revelation is one of love and yet betrayal, while Aquarians are noted for their aloofness and inability to understand others, another incredibly fitting quality of my mother in general.

The 'Wheel of Fortune' tells me that something big is going to occur in the realm of my mother, and since the 'Five of Pentacles' is the first card it seems that this 'big thing' is going to cause some trouble. Perhaps she is going to tell to tell the truth about her new love to someone who should know, but who will be greatly upset by it. Having read for my mother, I know that her revelation/secret is a good one for her (and not just because the cards said so!), and I am supportive of it despite the potential huge complexities if the truth should out.

Other than that, the cards suggest being forthright about a complex issue that may arise today, which will in turn bring about a fortunate/big change in my life.

Oooh! my neighbours keep ruining my mornings by playing their music really loudly. I need to be the Queen of Swords and take action by ringing up the Council to report her. Perhaps I will be lucky as the 'Wheel of Fortune' and see my neighbours music muted sharpish! Here's hoping!

UPDATE: 02/02/2010

Well, well, well! I just found out that an appeal from a long, long time ago has finally gone to the Tribunal. The 'Five of Pentacles' indicates the complexity of the appeal and a situation that could see me lose money. The 'Queen of Swords': a lady who discerns the truth, relates to the appeal going to Tribunal to be decided upon, and 'The Wheel of Fortune' indicates that the appeal is going to be a turning point in my current situation. So here's to the appeal being decided in my favour!
