Robotic Ear

I am not a huge fan of the bluetooth ear pieces but I bought one because I found Jawbone for $20.00 and they had it in PINK. It sat there on the kitchen counter "charging" because I never used it. I did not even know how to turn the darn thing on. Well Danny gave me another instruction lesson last night and let me tell you that I have been using it ALL day today, thanks to EDD.

I am in love with my pink Jawbone but I have had one of the worst days ever! I just want all this bad stuff to end already. I want my life back to the way it was.

I consider myself to be a strong person but let me tell you that one person can only handle so much and I think I am at my break point.

Damn Christmas tree

Well I gave in and decorated the Christmas tree today. I really did not want to, all I wanted was to box it back up and throw it back in the garage or better yet just throw it away completely.

I am not a huge fan of Christmas. Mostly because of how commercialized it has become and the expectations that my kids have. Every year I find myself trying to figure out what I am going to get them and then how I am going to afford it. Three teenage boys is so damn expensive. They want TV's, gaming consoles, dirt bikes, mountain bikes, you name it they want it and I can't afford it. It seems that somehow I am out of work every year at Christmas time.

Anyhoo, against my better judgement I decorated the tree and really did it because Dakota had asked that I please not put it away. I am hoping that he will notice that I decorated it and appreciate it because when McKenzy came home from school today he did not even notice or care. I bet if I were to put presents under the tree he would have noticed real quick.

Update: After I made a big fuss about the tree, the kids said it looked nice. Aly was the only one that said anything about the tree without me having to point it out to her!

And I thought just girls used this excuse. I actually heard it come out of my sons mouth this morning. Actually what he said was "I have worn all my clothes already this week." What he means is that right now he really only has a couple pairs of pants that fit him and he has worn them this week and therefore he has nothing to wear.
These battles are normal and they are exhausting. I really don't care if you only have two pairs of pants, get up and put them on and get your ass ready for school. He then commented on being a dirtbag for wearing the pants again. I told him that jeans are jeans and no one really cares if you wear them more than once in the same week. I an constantly doing laundry and so lately all of our clothes have been clean and so it is not like he is digging them out of the dirty clothes.
I choose not to fight with the kids and I try not to yell and scream because I have learned that it does not accomplish anything.
What he doesn't get is that right now I need to curb my spending and focus on a few things that are more important that new clothes. He knows that I love to shop and if I could, I would run out and buy him all the things he wants. He on the other hand does not believe me and thinks that for whatever reason, I don't go out and buy him the clothes and things that he needs.
I am tired of fighting with him and I just want him to wake up one day and whipe the asshole out of his eyes and go back to being the sweet and loving kid he was just less than a year ago. I lay awake some nights trying to figure out how to bring him back to reality and I just don't know how.
What I have learned is that every morning there will be an excuse and I just need to stay strong and over come that excuse with him and get him moving. The drawback is that it sets his mood on super asshole for the day and then I have to deal with that.

Is when non English speaking folk feel that you owe them something. I am sorry, you came into this illegially and instead of lookinjg for work, you are mooching off our programs which I work hard to fund for your lazy ass to sit back, eat, drink and have sex all damn day long. Why don't you take your ENTIRE family, which is all living under ONE roof and congesting my neighborhood streets because you ALL have a car and take your happy ass back to where you came from. And would you please take Jerry Brown with you?? He can suck it! I am over the PC buillshit and should never have to press any damn number to continue this call in English. This is America and I should never feel as if I am the minority!

Public school systems

I feel that we all love the public school systems equally. I feel the need to challenge them every so often just so remind myself how right I am and how wrong they are.
My latest challenge should be a good one. I have an email out to the Assistant Principal at the High School and I am hoping that it is well received, but I just never call tell with these lovely people.

If I could just put a stupid saying onto a blank t-shirt and make a gazillion dollars.....That would be rad. I used to compile a list of slogans that I wanted to print on shirts and sell and then we had the idea of a clothing line for a bit and well we never did anything with that either. A lot of ideas and projects that we start and never complete.

I still want to get the ball rolling with my children's foundation where I can sponsor kids who are not able to play sports due to financial reasons......I thought I was doing well with that and now I feel like I need to start all over!

A collection or an obsession?

Most everyone knows my love for wine. The redder the better :-)

Each time we go wine tasting we come home with a few new wine glasses to add yo my COLLECTION, which Danny calls an obsession. They have have special meaning to me one way or another. The ones on the very top shelf are NEVER used (and not even by my mom lol). They are from our Sidways wine tasting trip that we took with our friends the Morgan's. Those glasses mean more to me than life itself. Kidding, not that much but they mean enough that when I saw my mom using one a while back and I freaked out and made her put it away and use one of my utility wine glasses!

How a white girl makes chilequiles

I love to cook up and eat up Mexican food and it was not that long ago that I was introduced to Chilequiles and would like to punch my husband for not telling me about them sooner!

This is how I make them and so damn easy and so damn yummy!

I start with corn tortillas that have been in the fridge for a while and probably should not be used for anything. Stale tortillas have a purpose! I grab a few tortillas and my pizza slicer and I cut wedges.

This is my fryer and my best friend. It has been in the family for a long time and needs to be replaced. It is also very dirty because we store it on top of the refrigerator.

Mmmmm, frying in hot oil makes everything taste better!

The first batch is one and yes they always come out more done than the rest!

And we are almost done with the chips.....

The rest is SUPER easy! I use the green enchilada sauce, sprinkle with cheese and serve!

Not sure if this will be tonights dinner or tomorrows, but I can't wait!

I also had to share my white girl way to drink beer...

Sunday Funday...Not so much!

Yesterday was EXHAUSTING. Up at 6 am and on the road at 7 am to head to Indio. Mac's game wasn't until 12, however I was asked to fill in as the Athletic Director for the Micro D2 team and their game was at 10. I was busy ALL day and did not have a chance to even use the bathroom until we got all the way home. It was fun even though both teams lost.

Today we are chained to the house and I am farting around getting small chores done that I would never really make time for. So far I have cleaned out the junk drawer and the cupboard below it. It feels great to throw stuff away. I wanted to purge way more than I did, however Danny is home and he wants to keep everything. I normally clean when I am alone and I can toss stuff and usually no one ever knows. That means we have junk and crap we don't need. Tomorrow is trash day and I plan on getting as much out to the curb as possible.

Another chore I am looking to complete today is laundry! I have so much to do and all our bedding needs to be washed. In between loads I asked Danny if he would look for this trap in the washer that we have read so much about. Supposedly it is a trap where and crap from the wash gets stuck and will sometimes cause the gross odor that lives in our clean clothes and towels AFTER they have been washed and dried. This is a huge drawback on owning the front load washer. Anyway, he comes into the laundry room and I am moving the towels from the wash and he is trying to open the door to the washer and has NO idea how to open. How sad is that? It seems I am the only one that knows how to use the washer and dryer. I finally had to open the washer door for him because I was tired of watching him suffer. Come to find out, there is not a trap, but rather there is a pump of some kind that needs to be removed by a professional only. I am not calling a plumber. I have Googled and read and I am fine with the weekly cleaning with bleach. I have also started using vinegar in my loads (which also helps with the softness) and I now keep the washer door open when not in use. This seems to help and it is all cheap and does not require my washer to be torn apart.

I was not able to sleep in this morning thanks to the pain in my knee from an injury that I suffered on the 4th of July this year and so I am thinking that a nap might me in order. I love laying on my bed with the window open and watching lame ass TV. That is a perfect Sunday for me seeing that my team does not play until tomorrow.

Ok I swear that whenever Facebook makes changes, it messes with the security settings and I personally dont even care because I don't have anything to hide. Well maybe but you only live once and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

I am home alone tonight, well with Bailey, but like I said, home alone and I am browsing Facebook and we all know how one thing leads to another (on Facebook, get you minds out of the gutter) and so I am on some persons page and their kid plays football (but not on our team) and so I was browsing photos and well you look a lot haggard and most importantly you look MUCH better in black and white. I understand the desire to get married again and at a LATER age, but holy guacamole! Thanks for the laughs. I know I will rot in hell for this and not sleep tonight and have painful heartburn, but it was worth it.

Now when we cross paths in the park, I will always laugh.

All in all I had an amazing weekend. I got to spend Friday night with Dakota and Ally. Poor Ally got to meet the McDade's; probably should not have sprung them all on her at once (all except Amanda).

Little weird things are going on around the house that are disturbing and I need to try and wrap my heard around it. It is keeping me up at night and I am NOT sleeping well.

So i am getting ready for the evening and Mckenzy comes in to keep me company and is staring at himself in my bathroom mirror and says "so where do I get my good looks from?" I know that everyone calls him Danny Jr, but with it being just him and I, I say "DUH, from me of course!" He sighs (in a good way) and continues to admire himself in the mirror, sees his dimples and then begins to tell me that a gal pal at school tells him that dimples are from when your mom is already prego with you and they have sex and the "thing" hits you in the face.

I had a dream last night that I was at a social gathering and a specific person was there, that I guess i am no longer friends with. I some how ended up sitting across from this back stabbing liar and had the chance to tell her exactly how I felt. I was able to do this without becoming too angry or emotional and I was so proud of myself. I take a lot of things to heart and I take them personally even though I know the person is lying. The issue I have is that no everyone knows they are lies and so there will still be some people out there who will believe the bad things that are said about me and that's the part that I can't live with,

Work is getting busy, busy to the point where I am turn away business form people who are wasting my time. I love that feeling and I should have done that in my personal life with people that I had considered friends.

Work is just getting better and better by the day. I love it!

I have always referred to my self as a super star and so yes rock star just kind falls in line. I pushed the box aside and booted my PC and all the while I was going crazy trying to figure out what was in side the box. I have any blog followers, I might turn it into a guessing game, but since I don't I will just reveal what was inside the box.

I did not get up early today, as a matter of fact I slept in longer that I should have. I reset my alarm and went right back to sleep. The week must be catching up with me. Work is super busy and always changing which keeps us on our toes and then the kids and football, I am pretty darn tired!

That was by far the MOST interested and frightening trip to an AM-PM I have ever had. I did NOT put their gas in my car, but I did stop for a junk food run. I ate my lunch at the office a little early today and due to some semi disturbing news we received at the office, I knew I was going to need junk food and caffeine.

I pull into the parking lot and I spot a space right in front, which is really good because normally I have to park on the corner and walk, which is a bit of a hike. As I am making my way to the open spot, some gal jumps out in front of me to pick up a cigarette from the ground. Weird. I park and am getting our of my card and there are a handful of people standing out front of the building smoking. This is a gas station/mini mart, that might employ 2 people per shift. Not like it is an office building that has a large number of employees that would account for the large number of smokers out front. I notice Richard Ramirez sitting in his van next to my car watching my every move. I figure there are plenty of lovely folk around that I should be safe. I enter the mart grab my crap and head to the register. There is a gal in front of my who is having a full on convo with herself…oh wait, no, she is talking to her Bluetooth. As I am paying $4.08 for my bag o'junk food, there is a different gal that is walking out the door but stops and says "Hi Ms. Linda" I look over and she is talking to the mini mart employee. Cool, they are on a first name basis. They go back and forth a little and come to find out, the visitor just came in for a cup of ice and to use their microwave! Wait….what????????? Stopping in to use the microwave at the AM-PM?? That is just weird. Sure enough, as I walked by her she had her container of rice that she had heated up and was headed somewhere to eat her lunch.

Keep in mind this all happened in Temecula. People make fun that I live in Elsinore, but you know what, NEVER have I seen anything like what I have seen today!

Up early again today, it is not so bad. I was able to put away a mound of clean clothes that I had not had the time to get to. Tomorrow I will tackle some more laundry because I see a pile in Bailey's room and I know they are dirty.

The main task of my morning was creating an easy to read and understand chore chart for the kids. I think I might have successfully accomplished this task, but we will see once I put it into action. If they actually do their chores on time and without me having to ask, they can make some decent money and I will have more free time!

They take money for granted and just ask, ask, ask and never give in return. Sure they will do a chore here and there but only when asked and then they have to be asked several times.

I was up early yesterday (4 am) and learned that it wasn't so bad, however I also went to bed at 7:30 on Sunday. Anyhoo, I thought I would try getting up early(ish) with Danny and so today I was up a little after 4 am and am getting things done. It is really only an hour or so before I normally get up so it is not too big of a deal and it gives me time to get caught up on some stuff.

I have done laundry, dishes, football paperwork, read and deleted emails, updated job search criteria, have 3 cups of coffee (and counting) and ma looking for more to accomplish before I have to wake the kids.

I am heading downstairs for another cup of coffee and to see what else I can get done.

I am so the opposite of those moms who never want to get our of bed for whatever reason. Getting up early and getting stuff done just starts your day off on the RIGHT foot!

I need to note that the comment on the moms who don't want to get out of bed was NOT directed at anyone so whoever it is that is taking my blog words and spinning them into a little web of lies, not this time!

So on with my perfect little life!

I do have better things to blog about but I would not want to make anyone jealous of my glamorous life. My husband is a hottie, my kids are all around perfect and I am too awesome for words!

I know that is a lot to have to handle, but take me for the person that I am. I am very down to Earth and easy to get along with as long as you don't talk shit behind my back. I would prefer you talk it to my face, that is much more fun.

I almost forgot to mention my super rad, high paying job that I LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I need to find a new focus for my blog and not give these people (who needs hobbies) a reason to talk.

Just when I started to think more positively and live life more optimistically, more stupid shit. How much stupid shit can one person take before they just lose their mind?!?!?! Now I understand why people take pills. Holy shit, sign me up. Where do I get my pills so I can cope with this day to day bullshit that I have to deal with?
