By seeking to know these courageous women in journalism, the International Women’s Media Foundation has launched once again its search for its 2012 Courage in Journalism Awards and Lifetime Achievement Award. Each year, the Courage in Journalism Awards honor three women journalists who have demonstrated extraordinary strength of character in pursuing their profession under difficult or dangerous circumstances, such as government oppression, threats to personal safety and other intimidating obstacles.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a woman journalist who has a pioneering spirit and whose determination has paved the way for future generations of women in the media.

Previous Courage in Journalism Award winners include Adela Navarro Bello, Zeta, Mexico; Tsering Woeser, blogger and writer, Tibet; Jill Carroll, The Christian Science Monitor, United States; May Chidiac, Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation, Lebanon; Anna Politkovskaya, Novaya Gazeta, Russia (d. 2006); Anja Niedringhaus, Associated Press, Germany and Shahla Sherkat, Zanan, Iran.

Ms. Cidalia Faria
Cidalia is an Assistant Crown Attorney in the Ministry of the Attorney General for the Toronto-Downtown Crown's Office currently conducting serious criminal prosecutions as well as managing case files. She has specialized experience in Domestic Violence and successfully participated in the Retroactive DNA Project for the Toronto Region. Prior to her experience in criminal work as both crown and defence, Cidalia also did constitutional research and litigation.

Cidalia has been extensively involved in community initiatives focusing on the promotion of civic participation, education, race relations, gender equality, the health sector, and in a number of Portuguese Canadian community organizations such as the Portuguese Canadian Lawyers Association (PCLA), the Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business Professionals (FPCBP), and the Portuguese Canadian National Congress (PCNC).

Cidalia earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Politics as well as her Law degree from Queen's University. She also obtained a Masters degree in Law from Osgoode Hall in Constitutional Law with an Equality specialty.

Crianças de todas as nacionalidades no “Sick Kids” Podem contar com as amigas portuguesas

“Obrigado minhas amigas por aqui estarem e por colaborarem nesta festa. Não podemos fazer nada sem a vossa ajuda. Obrigado”. Estas as palavras emocionadas de Maria da Glória Andrade, uma açoriana da Vila de Rabo de Peixe, que fez de uma perca pessoal uma marcha de vitória, quando decidiu há onze anos reunir várias centenas de mulheres, sob o lema da Dia das Amigas, numa iniciativa de solidariedade para com as crianças que sofrem de cancro.

Este ano foram mais de oitocentas as mulheres, que se juntaram no salão da Local 183 para um jantar de angariação de fundos que vão reverter a favor do “Sick Kids Hospital Foundation” mais concretamente o departamento de cancro pediátrico
A causa, que anualmente leva estas amigas a reunirem-se, é a da investigação do cancro infantil, que mata anualmente 250 crianças num total de 14 mil casos no Canadá.

“Todas vós aqui devem sentir-se orgulhosas pelo apoio que estão a dar ao hospital das crianças e à investigação do cancro pediátrico” disse a Relações Públicas da Fundação “Sick Kids”, Mary Ann St. Michael.

Em entrevista ao jornal o Sol, St. Michael afirma ser “através de eventos como este que o “Sick Kids” sobrevive. Toda a pesquisa é financiada por acções deste género. O “Sick Kids” é o mais reputado hospital no Canadá e no mundo no campo do cancro pediátrico. Muito daquilo que se consegue no combate ao cancro nas crianças acontece graças a eventos deste tipo. Sem eles muito do que é feito não teria possibilidade de se realizar”, disse ainda Mary Ann St. Michael.

“Eventos desta natureza são por isso muito importantes para a nossa fundação, que depende muito de doações de particulares,” concluiu St. Michael.
Esta Festa das Amigas organizada por Maria Andrade “começou com um encontro de amigas na igreja de Santa Cruz”. Com o passar dos anos e a adesão de muitas outras mulheres portuguesas e de diversas outras nacionalidades, a sala da Igreja mostrou ser pequena demais para albergar todas as amigas, que desejavam abraçar esta causa.
Em mais um ano, elas continuaram a tradição do Dia das Amigas, a qual emigrou com Maria Andrade uma emigrante da Vila de Rabo de Peixe, para se instalar no coração de muitas mulheres canadianas.

“Comecei a fazer a festa em 2000. O meu marido morreu de cancro e prometi fazer. Comecei a dar ao Hospital “Princess Margareth”, mas agora dou ao “Sick Kids”. Para fazer esta festa ajuda-me a minha família entre filhos e filhas noras e genros e a senhora Gabriela.
Muitas pessoas deixam os seus lugares reservados de um ano para o outro e depois faço sempre um anúncio duas semanas antes do evento. Em 2013 vamos fazê-lo no dia 9 de Fevereiro.”
A festa já transbordou assim o universo português e como diz Maria Andrade já temos mulheres canadianas, italianas e de outros grupos étnicos.
“Uma amiga traz outra amiga e por isso quero agradecer a todas as minhas amigas, pois sem elas não podia fazer esta festa”, remata Maria Andrare já a pensar no evento de 2013.
As mulheres participam também com ofertas para serem rifadas e produtos para venda, nomeadamente joalharia com uma percentagem a reverter a favor da iniciativa.
A festa foi muito animada pela noite dentro. Fátima Martins foi levando a noite com a sua boa disposição como MC. O serão contou com música e dança ao som dos artistas Rui Furtado, Mário Marinho, Conjunto “Unique Touch” e Fernando Correia Marques.

A ex-deputada federal portuguesa Alexandra Mendes fez no início deste mês o lançamento oficial da sua candidatura à presidência do Partido Liberal do Canadá. A eleição do novo dirigente máximo daquela força partidária vai realizar-se durante o congresso nacional marcado para Janeiro de 2012.

Alexandra Mendes fez o lançamento da candidatura na área do seu distrito eleitoral de Brossard-La Praire, na província do Quebeque. Com o período de candidaturas aberto até 10 de Novembro, deram entrada até ao momento quatro propostas. Sheila Copps, Ron Hartling, Mike Crawley, todos eles do Ontário.
"Eu sou a única candidata pelo Quebeque, completamente bilingue e canadiana da primeira geração", enalteceu à Lusa Alexandra Mendes, que justificou de seguida a sua decisão.
"Lancei-me neste desafio com a intenção clara de participar activamente na reconstrução e redinamização necessárias para que o Partido Liberal do Canadá volte a ser a força viva política que soube representar durante mais de um século", justificou.
A ex-deputada em Otava que com este projecto vinca a vontade de estar politicamente activa ao mais alto nível, frisou o que a moveu igualmente é a recusa de uma ideia de Partido Liberal terá perdido razão de existência no panorama político canadiano, tendo em conta a arrasadora derrota que obteve nas últimas legislativas federais, em que pela primeira vez deixou de ser o partido de alternância no Poder, ao tornar-se na terceira força política no país.
Alexandra Mendes foi declarada eleita deputada federal pelo círculo de Brossard-La Prairie nas eleições gerais de 2008, após ganhar o recurso de impugnação da contagem de votos. Porém, nas últimas legislativas federais, decorridas a 2 de Maio passado, os 24% dos votos depositados para Alexandra Mendes no seu círculo não foram suficientes para ser reeleita, ficando mesmo longe dos 41% granjeados pelo novo deputado eleito Hoang Mai.

"A derrota que vivi nas eleições de Maio foi um golpe difícil de digerir, particularmente quando observo as muito reais ameaças de um governo maioritário conservador à nossa vivência democrática e à identificação como Canadianos", desabafou a ex-deputada nascida em Lisboa.
Afirmando-se preocupada com o actual governo conservador em Otava, Alexandra Mendes comentou a situação vivida no Canadá e em Portugal. "Como canadiana de origem portuguesa, sinto que ambos os "meus" países vivem horas de grandes debates de identidade, provocados pela crise económica, mas vindos de uma fonte de insatisfação popular profunda e que é urgente que a encaremos de frente", salientou.
Segundo defende, "as questões de estabilidade económica só poderão encontrar resposta quando soubermos realmente que tipo de sociedade queremos deixar aos nossos filhos: uma sociedade justa, de oportunidade, durabilidade e de prosperidade iguais para todos os seus cidadãos ou sociedades de "cada um por si", com governos que só querem poder sem aceitar os enormes desafios de governar"

As mulheres tiveram e continuam a ter um papel fundamental na historia da veneração ao Sr. Santo Cristo. Tudo começou com a fé e dedicação de uma mulher – a Madre Teresa – jovem do concelho da Ribeira Grande que ao retirar a imagem e a devoção ao ECCE HOMO do esquecimento trazia para além mundo este culto religioso. E um dos casos aconteceu na cidade de Toronto, onde as festas decorreram no passado fim-de-semana na Igreja de Santa Maria.

A pouco e pouco os jovens começam a entrar nas colectividades da diáspora. Em Toronto, a jovem Olga Rodrigues, decide continuar na frente dos destinos da Casa das Beiras por mais um mandato.

A nova direcção que foi dada a conhecer no passado sábado fica agora assim composta:

na assembleia geral a presidência foi para Adelino Sales, coadjuvado pelo vice-presidente António Santos e secretario José Valentim; O conselho fiscal está agora sob a responsabilidade da presidência de Alberto Costa, apoiado pelo vice-presidente Fernando Rodrigues e na secretaria Jason de Sousa.

A direcção executiva presidida por Olga Rodrigues é apoiada respectivamente por João de Sousa, Carlos Mesquita, Steven Silva, Jennifer de Sousa e Alice Martins nos pelouros da vice- presidência, tesouraria e secretaria; as relações públicas contam com uma cara conhecida do clube, Bernardino Nascimento e com Samanta Sousa; a cultura fica sob a direcção de Lúcio Oliveira e João de Sousa enquanto que a comissão de festas é constituída por Dina Frade, António Frade, Fernando Guedes, Manuel Silva, Scott Oliveira, Jennifer Machado, Pedro Silva, Irene Silva, Vanessa Machado e Pedro Pavão.

A jovem que tomou à sua conta a responsabilidade por mais um ano dos destinos da Casa das Beiras Cultural Community Centre de Toronto está consciente dos desafios, mas acredita que este ano algumas das dificuldades de adaptação já foram ultrapassadas e que o movimento jovem que se juntou ao clube representa um motivo para continuar e responder ao desafio com entusiasmo.

Construindo nas bases jovens lançadas durante o último mandato, Olga Rodrigues quer aprofundar a relação do clube com a juventude, que vai poder levar à pratica algumas das iniciativas pensadas nos últimos meses.
."A relação com os jovens aprofundou-se e muitos decidiram juntar-se a nós. Por isso temos mais juventude nesta direcção e em posições de destaque, o que é realmente importante" destacou Olga Rodrigues.
Nesta nova direcção é possível notar uma maior percentagem de mulheres em órgãos decisórios.

“Mulheres nesta organização em lugares de direcção eram muito poucas. Esta é uma realidade que começamos a mudar. Os homens nesta colectividade estão à vontade com esta mudança e dizem mesmo que chegou a altura. As mulheres tiveram sempre um papel importante mas sempre na retaguarda. Mudar tal requer também muita coragem por parte delas próprias.”

A sua passagem pela Casa das Beiras não foi desprovida de dificuldades e desafios, muitos já ultrapassados. A experiência, acredita Rodrigues vai tornar mais fácil o seu trabalho por mais um ano.

A jovem presidente reconheceu o trabalho de todos que durante a sua estadia nos corpos directivos a formaram e a ajudaram nas suas tarefas, para as quais muitas vezes não se sentia preparada. “Muito se aprende no trabalho diário e enfrentando um a um os problemas que surgem. Quando começamos nestas organizações não temos no início uma ideia clara do que cada uma das posições numa direcção exige ou espera de nós. Quando iniciamos o trabalho não temos consciência clara de que estar numa direcção de um clube envolve muito.”

Apelos à união e inter-ajuda entre sócios e amigos para um regular funcionamento da colectividade foram ouvidos na sala do clube, num jantar que reuniu vários sócios e amigos que assim quiseram conhecer de perto a equipa que vai liderar a Casa das Beiras. Adelino Sales presidente da assembleia-geral, foi uma das vozes que ao agradecer a confiança depositada em si por Olga Rodrigues deixou o alerta para que todos se unam e ajudem a colectividade “que já chegou a um nível do qual nos devemos orgulhar”, disse.

O mesmo apelo foi ecoado pelo secretário das Relações Públicas Bernardinho Nascimento, que disse estar sempre disposto para ouvir qualquer associado que pretenda dar voz a preocupações ou a ideias.

A Casa das Beiras, é hoje uma colectividade mais rica pela juventude e por saber integrar no seu poder de decisão aqueles membros, nomeadamente mulheres, que ano após ano dão o seu tempo, dedicação e trabalho ao seu clube do coração.

Family Day in Toronto with ur Family - Dia da Familia em Toronto

The City of Toronto's Parks, Forestry and Recreation division invites residents to participate in a wide variety of recreation and leisure activities this Family Day - Monday, February 21. Family Day highlights include swimming, indoor and outdoor leisure skating, shinny hockey, skiing and snowboarding. Residents are also invited to visit Riverdale Farm or the High Park Zoo or take a scenic winter walk through the Toronto's network of parks.

Skating

Indoor public skating is offered at 13 locations across the city. Schedules vary by location. Weather permitting, all 51 of the City's outdoor rinks will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (or later) and offer a variety of leisure skating and shinny hockey opportunities.

Don't forget to protect your head. All children under the age of six must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet on the ice. Helmets are also mandatory for people of all ages participating in supervised shinny hockey programs. Neck and mouth guards are strongly recommended.

Indoor leisure swimming is available at 10 locations across the city from 2 to 5 p.m.

Skiing and snowboarding

The Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre (4169 Bathurst St., inside Earl Bales Park) and the Centennial Park Ski and Snowboard Centre (256 Centennial Park Rd.) are open on Family Day from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Both centres offer Discover Skiing and Snowboarding group lessons as well as private lessons.

Special Family Day rates are available at both centres: you can ski or snowboard for twice as long for the regular price.

A wide selection of equipment, including helmets, is available to rent at reasonable rates. Helmets are mandatory when participating in lessons. The use of a recognized ski or snowboard helmet for all other participants is strongly recommended.

Riverdale Farm

Cows, horses, donkey, sheep (including three new baby lambs), goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, rabbits and farm cats are all waiting to visit with you at Riverdale Farm (201 Winchester St.). Drop-in activities run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with children's storytelling from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. The farm is open from 9 a.m. to 5. p.m. and admission and drop-in programs are free. High Park Zoo

Located on Deer Pen Road, the High Park Zoo offers both domestic and exotic animals including bison, llamas, peacocks, deer, highland cattle and sheep. The zoo is open daily year-round to visitors from 7 a.m. to dusk.

Discovery Walks

Take a winter walk-about and explore the city on foot. The Discovery Walks program is a series of 11 self-guided walks linking ravines, parks, gardens, beaches and neighbourhoods. Ranging from 1.5 to 11 kilometres, the walks are designed to showcase Toronto’s outstanding natural features as well as cultural and historical attractions. O departamento dos Parques da Divisão Florestal e de Lazer da cidade convida os moradores a participarem numa grande variedade de actividades recreativas e de lazer neste Dia da Família - a próxima segunda - feira, dia 21 de Fevereiro.
As famílias estão assim convidadas para tomarem parte nas actividades oferecidas pela edilidade, nomeadamente natação, patinagem de interior e exterior, hóquei, esqui e snowboard. Os moradores são também chamados a visitar a Riverdale Farm ou o High Park Zoo ou ainda dar um passeio panorâmico de Inverno aproveitando a rede de parques do município.

Se gosta de patinagem de interior pode divertir-se com os seus filhos em 13 ringues espalhados pela cidade. Os horários variam conforme a localidade. Se o tempo permitir, todas as 51 pistas exteriores estarão oferecendo uma variedade de actividades no gelo. Mas não se esqueça que todas as crianças menores de seis anos de idade devem usar um capacete.

Dia das Amigas no Ontário Merece condecoração oficial açoriana

A tradição açoriana de solidariedade aliada ao Dia das Amigas tem já o seu nome associado ao movimento de solidarização canadiano, mormente aquele relacionado com a luta contra o cancro.

Tal foi possível com o trabalho participativo e voluntário das mulheres açorianas emigradas num movimento que já aglomera “amigas” de outros grupos étnicos, num movimento único que nos últimos dez anos tem levado o nome dos Açores e das suas tradições mais longe, o qual pode também ser um exemplo a seguir na região e que merece reconhecimento oficial.

O celebrado e tradicional Dia das Amigas que “emigrou” dos Açores para Toronto estende anualmente a sua razão de ser a iniciativas mais abrangentes, juntando várias centenas de mulheres, que em jantares de gala angariam milhares de dólares para a investigação feita pelas duas mais importantes instituições hospitalares no Ontário que pesquisam novas formas de tratamento do cancro: “The Princess Margareth Hospital” e o “Sick Kids Hospital”.

O sábado dia 5 de Fevereiro foi a vez da família Andrade continuar um evento que iniciou em 2002.Tudo começou com uma tragédia pessoal: o falecimento do marido de Maria Andrade, vítima de cancro, tragédia que a catapultou para o exercício cívico de participação comunitária desta feita na luta contra a doença. Assim em 2002 iniciava no salão da Igreja de Santa Cruz, em Toronto uma série de jantares cujos fundos revertem a favor da pesquisa científica.

Os fundos alcançados nos primeiros cinco anos foram para o Hospital “Princess Margareth” e os últimos cinco - que já renderam cerca de 50 mil dólares – destinaram-se ao Hospital “Sick Kids”, instituição cimeira nas áreas do tratamento e investigação do cancro infantil.

Este ano a iniciativa juntou 1100 mulheres. “Principiamos com 220 pessoas agora o número tem subido. Hoje faz dez anos que faço esta festa e nós temos aqui 1100 pessoas. O ano passado a festa rendeu 14 mil dólares. A minha família próxima ajuda assim como algumas voluntárias. Se Deus quiser, se Nosso Senhor me der vida e saúde eu continuo a fazer esta festa até eu poder.”

O jantar de gala de Maria Andrade cimentado na tradição do Dia das Amigas, teve lugar no salão de festas da Local 183, um sindicato encabeçado por um micaelense, natural da freguesia de Rabo de Peixe recentemente condecorado pelo governo dos Açores: Durval Terceira.

Este movimento do Dia das Amigas no Ontário faz já parte do calendário de angariação de fundos para o cancro, que num cem número de iniciativas junta milhares de pessoas na província do Ontário.

E este tornou-se já no mais lucrativo evento feito por uma comunidade étnica para o Sick Kids Hospital, conforme palavras de Jade de Ciccio, Coordenadora do Desenvolvimento e Envolvimento Comunitário da Fundação Sick Kids Hospital.

“É espectacular um evento como este com mais de mil pessoas. Para nos ele é o maior feito por uma comunidade étnica. O facto de esta iniciativa representar uma comunidade que se junta em nome da amizade e da solidariedade é sem dúvida admirável” disse ainda Ciccio.

Dia das Amigas e o cancro da mama

O cancro da mama reúne igualmente centenas de mulheres portuguesas em Toronto numa confraternização que saltou muros e se espalhou também a outras mulheres que participam neste jantar do Dia das Amigas em Toronto.

Neste caso, a luta é o cancro da mama que é também uma realidade junto das famílias portuguesas.

O dinheiro arrecadado vai para a investigação médica, que decorre no 'Campbell Family Institute for Breast Câncer Research' em Toronto organismo dependente da fundação do “Princess Margareth Hospital”.

O presidente da fundação Paul Alofs, reconheceu este esforço da comunidade num agradecimento público “pelo continuado esforço deste grupo na conquista do cancro.”

Ângela Machado apoiada pela sua jovem fila encontra-se à frente deste movimento também ele iniciado há uma década. Natural da ilha de S. Miguel, Ângela recorda a celebração do Dia das Amigas na família, uma celebração, que serviu de mote para este movimento solidário.

“Todos os anos vê-se um maior número de mulheres a aderir” salienta com orgulho Ângela Machado. Uma das mais idosas amigas, que anualmente está presente neste jantar de gala é a “Tia Clarinha”, que com mais de noventa anos é testemunho dos valores da solidariedade e herança cultural trazidos dos Açores para a Diáspora.

We were at the DR for a week. Wonderful weather, great people and a few extra excursions that took us to learn more about the real DR away from 5 star resorts.
Be sure that there will be music everywhere and the smallest of the children you encounter will be moving their hips and dancing to the merengue and the bachata. The country is very sensual and I dared to say very sexual.
The moves, the looks and the sounds are definitely very sexual. As a young women put it when questioned why at 19 she was a single mother with one child and another on the way., the answer was simple: mucho merenge, marijuana, praias calientes...

Single pregnant teens or young women holding babies is a sight that can sometimes overwhelm you, since they are poor, uneducated and with no future ahead.
A great number of girls work in the resorts, ten to twelve hours a day. But it is their way out and a light into the future.
They are warm, charming and entertaining and will try, when ever they can speak English. English is not mandatory in schools, unfortunately in a country that relies on tourism. Many go to private schools to learn.

`Primary education is provided free for all children from the ages 7 to 14, and although this is compulsory it is rarely enforced, especially in the rural areas. Uniforms are required to attend school and these are not provided by the government, therefore those families that cannot afford to buy them do not send their children to school. Books, pens, pencils, scribblers, and other necessary supplies are also the responsibility of the families and this too adds to lack of enrolment in the schools.
Over the past years however, many non-profit organizations have established themselves in the

Dominican Republic

and these have greatly assisted in providing the necessary amenities for underprivileged children to take advantage of the school system. Private citizens and foreign residents have also started various programs throughout the island to further help the less fortunate families in sending their kids to school.

Two-year intermediate school and a four-year secondary follow primary education, however the system caters more to the middle and upper class and therefore a large majority of Dominicans will not reach this level. Even at this rate though, over 85% of the population is literate.¨
Many boys and girls cannot go to school because they do not have birth certificates — and many drop out before reaching high school. Even when we do go to school, it’s very difficult to find a job in the community so that we can put our education to use, say some youth.

If you are a woman planning to go to DR alone or with a friend, I would recommend. bring lots of sun protector, be willing to dance and learn some Spanish words and the bachata. Be careful with the mosquitoes and drink lots of water.
But be aware of your surroundings, bring candy and school supplies for the kids. If you choose a monster truck safari adventure, make sure the crew does not drink alcohol the way they did in my trip (except the driver, the reason why I kept going), and make sure they are less noisy and be more specific on the history and customs of the place.

I was not to keen in knowing how long it take a rooster or chicken to die in their cock fighting, have a word of encouragement to young women and kids working in the street.

It is a wonderful country full of possibilities, But there is a need for a new look into the future of their youth.
Be aware of some chaos in the streets - no helmets, 3 to 4 passengers and no night lights.

Go to DR and enjoy the beauty of this part of the country. You will be safe and have a great time!

“Paying kids to do well in school gets low marks from many experts.But hiring them as paid mentors or to assist in local research projects — essentially giving them a school-based, part-time job so they can help out their families — is worth exploring, they say.“Paying for grades, it’s something that just sounds like a bribe,” said Jeff Kugler, executive director of the Centre for Urban Schooling at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.“I think that if it’s part of a project or process they’re involved in with the school, or if they’re mentoring another kid in the building, that’s work, and people do that for money anyway.”

Chris Spence, director of education for the Toronto District School Board, recently floated the idea of giving needy kids cash for doing well in school.He’s created an anti-poverty task force to look at a variety of options to help at-risk youth. Spence has also suggested paying parents for things like getting a library card. But the success of such programs has been limited. In New York, a three-year pilot that gave parents money to take their children to the dentist or paid children for good attendance — up to $50 a month — saw no improvements in grades or attendance. High school students who were already doing well did better on standardized tests and earned more credits, but those who were falling behind saw no gains. Philip Oreopoulos, a University of Toronto economics professor currently teaching at Harvard University, conducted research on incentives for post-secondary students at a Canadian university.

One group was offered a scholarship worth anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 if they earned certain grades; another group received academic support, course review sessions and mentoring; another group received both, and the final group, none.

Porem, contratar estudantes como mentores que serão pagos para ajudarem outros alunos em projectos de pesquisa – dando-lhes essencialmente um programa escolar baseado num trabalho em part-time para que com o dinheiro ganho possam ajudar as suas famílias - é uma ideia que vale a pena explorar

Portuguese cultural clubs are eager to tract young members. Many mistakes were done by not giving youth and women place in the decision making process.

The results now: young people don't come to the clubs and associations.

But it seems that the trend is changing. Lots of young people at Futebol Clube do Porto in Toronto yesterday for the celebration os another anniversary.
