After her bridal session wearing a traditional Korean wedding hanbok dress, Sierra changed into this lovely custom BHLDN dress that she would be wearing on her wedding day. It was very hard not to post these photos of this beauty before her wedding! But now that the festivities are over and I’m going through their wedding images, I’m so glad Sierra took time for these bridals before their wedding day. It gave her a good excuse for a full hair/makeup trial run, and we got to run around the park doing silly things we wouldn’t have had time for on her wedding day.

Most of what we shoot are life transitions… transitioning from dating to marriage, from child to adult, from a couple to a family. When Martha talked about why she wanted this shoot of her family of 3 (soon to be 4), she talked about how this was the end of Mara’s only-child period and she wanted to document this special time before baby Mia came. I love that. Mara’s life is about to change in many ways, and I have no doubt that she is going to be such a good big sister to little Mia. Thank you Martha & Mike for inviting me into your gorgeous home – I wish all four of you many more happy memories!

We love it when our couples incorporate meaningful traditions from their backgrounds into their wedding celebrations. Sierra and Rick are getting married at Zaza Gardens next month, so she chose to have some photos taken in a traditional Korean wedding dress, as well as photos in her wedding-day dress from BHLDN (more from that shoot after her wedding!).
