Se trata de un mapa historico, para la revista ANCIENT WARFARE, es una publicación con mucho prestigio en el mundillo de la historia militar.
El trabajo les ha gustado bastante.
El mercado de la ilustracion es cada vez mas garnde, ya que esta editarial esta en Holanda y cuenta con colaboradores de todo el mundo.

Como ya sabeis me han dado una mencion de honor en los PREMIOS DE PINTURA DEL EJERCITO DEL AIRE.
Ha sido realmente algo inesperado, pero desde luego muy agradable, he viajado a la capital del reino para recibir dicha mención en un acto al mas puro estilo castrense.
Haremos una muesca en nuestro revolver.

Matte Painting

En el cine actualmente se emplea el "Matte Painting" para fotogramas concretos, normalmente vistas generales, donde los ilustradores crean ambientes, bien a partir de fotografias retocadas, bien totalmente dibujados.
En ocasiones poseen varias capas superpuestas, y cuando la camara realiza un "traveling", la imagen da sensación de profundidad.
Aqui os cuelgo una muestra de uno que he hecho de muestra para un proyecto.

En estos días me he propuesto probar diferentes estilos.
La verdad es que no es sencillo ya que uno se acostumbra a pintar siempre de una manera, llamémosla intuitiva y salir de ahí es difícil.
Aquí he intentado hacer prevalecer el dibujo sobre el color, os muestro los dibujos iniciales a lápiz.

Aquí os muestro el proceso de pintura en pocas imágenes para que veáis lo sencillo que es.
Ya hay miles de artistas en todo el mundo que emplean la tecnología digital.
Es rápida, limpia y te permite plantear soluciones diferentes en un corto espacio de tiempo, por lo cual, desde el punto de vista comercial es muy rentable.
Si tenéis interés en el futuro os puedo comentar algunos aspectos que yo tengo en cuenta a la hora de dibujar y pintar.

Habitualmente cuando le dices a la gente que pintas con el ordenador, suelen tener una reacción de escepticismo, incluso alguno osa hacer un comentario del tipo; bueno pero eso no tiene que ser muy difícil, escaneas una foto y luego con el “fotosop” ese, haces lo que quieres.
Y uno que tiene ya unos años, y que no nació precisamente ayer, le viene a la memoria tiempos pretéritos, cuando se pusieron de moda los aerógrafos y los ordenadores personales no existían.
Y la gente hacia comentaba cosas similares sobre estos aparatos, que poco menos que pintaban solos.
Y la verdad es que tanto unos como otros en su momento revolucionaron el mundo, siendo herramientas formidables y abriendo campos que hasta el momento eran más complejos.
Si bien es cierto que una herramienta te facilita el trabajo y permite poder resolver de manera más rápida muchos procesos de la creación de una obra, esto ira en pro de poder indagar en otros campos que hasta el momento no había posibilidad por una cuestión tan banal en el arte como es el tiempo de ejecución
Pues bien, desde luego con el ordenador se pueden hacer cosas muy interesantes, pero desde luego la capacidad creativa todavía pertenece al artista.
En unos días colgare un ejemplo del proceso de creación de esta ilustración, que por otro lado creo que no tiene nada de particular, solamente que en vez de poner los colores sobre un papel o un lienzo, estos son virtuales, y se representan en un monitor mediante pixeles. Por lo demás creo que no hay mucha diferencia, salvo que no huele y no mancha...
¿Qué pensarían esos hombres de la antigüedad cuando alguien creo las pinturas al oleo? ¿Cuántos detractores tuvieron?

Estoy embarcado en varios proyectos que han ido surgiendo. Y esto ha originado un colapso en mi agenda. Esta es la razón por la que llevo tanto tiempo si colgar nada en el blog.
Esto que cuelgo, es algo que comencé hace tiempo y que he ido postergando hasta que lo he acabado, que curiosamente ha sido cuando mas liado estoy.
Es algo muy personal ya que es un homenaje a mi padre que murió hace tres años.
Siempre he estado muy orgulloso de él y espero él lo esté ahora de mi.
Le he puesto mucho cariño y creo que él me ha ayudado de alguna manera.
También le he pedido opinión a mi hijo Mario de tres años, que es mucho más artista que yo. Y me ha dicho que esta; palabras textuales, “MUY BIEN PAPA”. Así que esto creo que es razón suficiente para colgarlo y compartirlo con todos.

Hola a todos de nuevo.
Después de este largo y cálido verano volvemos de nuevo a la carga.
Aquí os muestro una ilustración, para los amantes de la historia militar del siglo XX.
Es una recreación de soldados Alemanes del Batallón de Caballería Florián Gayer, no está corregida todavía puede que tenga algún error, que por supuesto se subsanará.
La ilustración está hecha por ordenador y con una tableta WACOM (no cobramos publicidad, de momento…).De momento sigo exprimiendo esta técnica que es impresionante, investigando diferentes pinceles y efectos. Algún día hablaremos de esto.
Para los seguidores del blog, deciros que la película en la que andábamos haciendo algún proyecto finalmente no salió, se trataba del diseño de unas escenografías, y que resolvieron con localizaciones naturales. Así que otra vez será.
Bueno espero vuestros comentarios que son siempre agradecidos y si tenéis cualquier cuestión que preguntar no lo dudéis.
Tengo en proyecto varias cosas muy interesantes, algo pendiente es una serie de dibujos de seres fantásticos a lápiz, que la verdad me apetece bastante. El problema lo veo en como meterlo en el Blog, ya que mediante escáner no me da muy buen resultado, cuando se trata de lapiceros, bueno la verdad es que no tengo mucha experiencia al respecto, si alguno la tenéis no dudéis en compartirla.

En primer lugar agradeceros a todos los que os molestáis en mirar de vez en cuando el blog.
Este es el último trabajo que he acabado, he estado bastante liado con otras cosas, entre ellas un proyecto para una película de factura aragonesa, que esperemos que salga adelante. Cuando pueda os prometo que os lo mostrare.
En este trabajo he optado por dar un toque de fantasía al asunto. Os diré también que he usado modelo, siempre se consiguen mejores resultados.
Ya tengo un par de proyectos nuevos en mente uno de ellos ya comenzado y más personal el otro relacionado con el mundo de los superhéroes, que se que tiene muchos seguidores.

Hoy estoy aburrido, y cuando esto sucede no puedo concentrarme. El resultado es un dibujo rápido y precipitado.
Cuando esto sucede tengo en la cabeza una idea brillante, pero según voy avanzando con el dibujo me doy cuenta de que para hacer algo verdaderamente bueno hay tomarse su tiempo y sobre todo trabajarlo mucho.
Así que en este caso aunque el dibujo es rápido no es muy de mi agrado.
Bueno mañana será otro día.

Hola muchachotes después de unos cuantos días de descanso vuelvo al ataque.

Aquí os presento lo último que he hecho con mi ordenador, mira que me encanta el lápiz y el dibujo a mano, pero cuando se trata de color últimamente me inclino por el ordenador.

Así que si tenéis un ordenador moderadamente potente sabéis usar algún programa de dibujo, aunque sea poco y tenéis, eso sí, una tableta gráfica, animaros es una pasada.

Lo que aquí os presento es muy sencillito pero se pueden hacer verdaderas pasadas que jamás advertiríais que están hechas solo con ordenador.

Hola a todos, después de más de un mes desaparecido os muestro lo último que he estado haciendo.

Como veréis he cambiado de plantilla no sé todavía si es para bien o para mal, pero la verdad es que me gusta bastante, todavía no me hago con ella, pero le daremos tiempo.

He estado bastante liado con otras cosas, pero mientras he dibujado este soldadito con el ordenador, como ya he dicho en alguna ocasión es una herramienta mega cómodo, sobre todo cuando hablamos de colorear ofrece muchísimas posibilidades y cambios, siempre y cuando poseas una tableta digital medianamente buena.

Sigo probando técnicas hasta que encuentre algo que me guste, lo siguiente que quiero hacer es algo más ambicioso y más currado.

Bueno espero que os guste y que comentéis lo que os parece, ya sabéis esto nos ayuda a pisar la tierra.

De momento es solo un boceto inacabado, como podéis observar, tengo que trabajarlo un poquito mas y darle color.
