Call of Cthulhu Nocturnum Campaign - Chapter 1 Part 1

Click below for the first session of the Call of Cthulhu Nocturnum campaign I ran for my group. The audio actually begins a few minutes after we got started so here's some background info that will help:

The player characters are Robert and Dana Sanders, 17 year old twins, who are on their way with their psychiatrist and family friend, Dr. Patrick Reese, through the mountains of Colorado, to the Denver Dream Research Institute. One year ago, the twins were found unconscious in the lab of their parents who were famous anthropologists. The twins were covered with blood and gore and had apparently ripped their parents to pieces. They were found guilty in court and sent to the Topeka State Mental Institution where Dr. Reese worked with them to try to determine what happened. The twins have no recollection of the events that led to their parents death. The twins share horrible nightmares that they don't remember upon waking. Dr. Reese has contacted his friend, Dr. Margaret Cho, at the Research Institute, and she has agreed to try a groundbreaking new therapy to determine exactly what has happened.

Call of Cthulhu - and Welcome!

The first actual play session is being edited and will be posted soon.

Had a great time running the first chapter of the Fantasy Flight Games Nocturnum campaign for Call of Cthulhu d20.

I GM'd this for two players - one a seasoned D20 gamer - the other, a complete novice to roleplaying.

I had not played D20 before (last time I touched Dungeons and Dragons was the Red Box!) and had fun bluffing my way through the mechanics.

All in all, we had a lot of laughs and created an interesting story.

At times, the story stayed true to the book; other times, we were off on some wild tangents of our own imaginations!
