You can become a member for a reasonable fee & contribute to the smile experience for everyone. Although it is US based, it gives wonderful ideas for Dental Public Health education anywhere in the world, by using its concepts to make dentistry fun for everyone, providing fun-facts of dental history, such as "George Washington Gallery", "G.V. Hello everyone,

sorry for taking such a while since my last post, but hope you like this one.

These two websites I came upon recently that also offer a bundle of dental information. Whether you have a question you'd like others opinions in, or read others experiences, in addition to downloading a vast range of dental-related media (books, videos, journals,programs, lectures, designs, forums...etc). You can even join an academy of prosthodontists!

Although some of the posts are in Arabic, thanks to the translation option, that's not a worry anymore(especially in google chrome). I very much liked them & hope you will as well.

Its a very well organized website that offers free subscription to posts, case discussions & information on up to date dental, hygiene & medical products & updates.It has a magazine which is very informative & has interesting cases & product details, which you can either get to your mailbox through subscription or get the digital version straight into your inbox. It even offers advice on dental marketing!! CME courses are available for a reasonable fee or sometimes FREE, to keep you up to track through a CE Calender :D & you can print out the certificate!

They also rate different dental products through voting the "Townie Choice Awards", giving you advice on the best choices available.

Scaling & OHI, but this is an outstanding dental website that offers dentists of all ages (undergrad, postgrad & even specialists) a window into the sea of dental knowledge in all fields. You can read new info, download amazing ppts & ebooks, participate in contests, & get access to dental journals across the globe. You can even watch funny videos & pics related to dentistry. All you have to do is subscribe & new posts will be emailed directly to your inbox.

The founder of the website is a periodontist-implantologist from India "Dr.Prem" & he also started the dental site dictionary blog. You can contact him through the website, through twitter or through subscribing to sms.

Only drawback regarding this site is that all posts are uploaded to rapidshare which is not accessible everywhere, otherwise Rating is 9/10!!

This is an amazing website offering up to date info on research related to dentistry.

as written on their logo "Inspiring Better Care", its a provider of highly professional, accessible and effective learning accepted across the profession.

Its an easy way to keep up with the fast pace new techniques & researches are being done in dentistry. It has interactive learning products, education support platforms, bespoke projects, conferences & events calender, web services & publications.

A wonderful website offering a vast amount of animations related to dentistry.

The animations are categorized into different specialities.

The site is maintained by two Dentists practicing in New Zealand.

THUMBS UP FOR:

1.Wide variety of animations covering all specialities

2. Animations are faster even with a slow internet

3.Simple in design and easier to educate a patient

4. Easier navigation sans ads

5. A simple non profit website - HATS OFF TO THE CREATORS

THUMBS DOWN FOR :

1. At times the animations look antique

2. FLV animations that cannot be downloaded unless by an internet geek

I don find any more flaws for the website and I highly recommend it.

So I preferred to review it.

Its a good international site offering the same platform for dentists, hygienists and assistants.

It has info for the patient who visits the site too.

THUMBS UP FOR:

1. Nice and cool navigation

2. Uber cool designs

3.Same platform for all specialities of dentistry

4. First rank in Google's listing

5. Provides links to various speciality procedures

THUMBS DOWN FOR:

1. End of the day, It is a personal site of a New York dentist

2. No stuff as such stored in the site, all are redirected

3. "Dental Information Centre" just exists and doesn work

4. Country based target, in this case only U.S

5. The CE section is just there without anything inside

This site at first glance is a Clutter of so many things!

Take a deeper look and you are in for surprises!

There are more than 500 cases posted for reference most of which are endodontic cases.

It is quite updated and carries very recent posts.

Classy articles like swine flu and role of dentists just are awesome.

Look for free journal list too in it

THUMBS UP FOR:

1. So many cases posted with pictures

2. Awesome Domain name

3. Claims its presence for 12 years, now that a great achievement

4. Hot messages at the lower half

5. A good readership rate and good mailing lists

THUMBS DOWN FOR:

1. Too much Advertisements

2. The website was never redesigned for 12 years ( I think..!)

3. Very Difficult to navigate

4. Does not benefit much for practitioners other then endodontists

We have innumerable sites offering quality dental info over the internet!

I was taken aback when I came to know there were so much of wonderful sites that were devoid of visitors!

So I am gonna blog every day about a good dental site and review its pros and cons!

A Rating would be done fairly!
Every month a dental site would be awarded the "Dental Site of the month"

This is my second year as a blogger and I think I have started the year in style!
