At this point, most people aren't paying much attention to what's happening on the political scene. I've had conversations with several people who were seemingly oblivious to significant changes that are in play, for the first time, in the 2012 Presidential Election. Trust me, this is not the election cycle to sleep on the latest politricks. This post is intended to be informative, thought provoking and inspiring. I want to sound the alarm about two new political acronyms you should be cognizant of, and the devastating consequences and influence they could have on the election.

Before we go any further lets identify and define these acronyms. After we familiarize ourselves with them we'll have a little follow up chat.

What is the Supreme Court 'Citizens United' Decision: The Supreme Court 'Citizens United' ruling was made in January 2010. This decision allows individuals and corporations to spend unlimited amounts of money on elections anonymously through phony “social welfare” organizations. This mindless decision has made campaign-finance reform the transcendent political issue of our time. Click here to watch President Obama criticize this decision during his 2010 State of the Union Address. As you can see, President Obama prophesied what their decision would unleash. Did you notice the Supreme Court justices sitting there looking like small children caught with their hands in the cookie jar? What is a Super Political Action Committee (Super PAC): Political Action Committees (PAC) have been around since 1944. They are political committees organized for the purpose of raising and spending money to elect and defeat candidates. Most PACs represent business, labor or ideological interests and can give $5,000 to a candidate committee per election. The Super PAC is a relatively new beast that emerged as a result of the 2010 Supreme Court 'Citizens United' ruling. It's like a PAC without many of the restrictions. A Super PAC can raise and spend unlimited amounts of money for the sole purpose of supporting, opposing or directly attacking political candidates.

Okay, now that we're acquainted with our new acronyms, let's chat about their significance.

The Supreme Court 'Citizens United' decision has resulted in the proliferation of Super PACs and opened the floodgates for corruption and unlimited amounts of money to be poured into political campaigns. It introduced a mechanism that enables elections to be brought by billionaires. Thanks to the Supreme Court's disastrous ruling and subsequent emergence of Super PACs, the White House is now for sell.

Republican Super PACs and other outside groups plan to spend roughly $1,000,000,000 on November’s elections for the White House and control of Congress. That's right, $1Billion with a B. You do know they're not dropping that kind of cash without expecting a return on their investment, right? In return they want (and will demand) the federal government to do something or stop doing something. For their money, they expect big payoffs that will benefit their bottom line, industry and members.

So how do we compete with Republican Super PAC billionaires in this scenario? While they're busy trying to 'make it rain', we turn out, flood the polls and vote - that's how. Wouldn't it be gratifying if they squandered all those billions and President Obama still won! Let's send them an 'I don't think so, there will be no foreclosure here' message at the polls. Then we can load them all up on Rafalca (Mitt Romney's $500,000 dancing horse) and send them galloping back to their mansions licking their wounds.

Folks, this is the election that determines if money can buy the White House. Your vote will be extremely crucial and more defining than ever in this election. I urge you to please vote for President Barack Obama. We have to let those imbeciles know they can't buy our vote or our love. Let's get ready to Barack and roll!
