We deliberately take this opportunity to remind you that this particular bookmarklet helps you to effortlessly bookmark and annotate interesting sites. You can easily add your tags and define folders to which you want to bookmark interesting sites without leaving the page you view.

You have probably noticed another difference to other social bookmarking sites: yes, we want you to be precise in the meaning of your annotations and we help you to be so. Why? There are certain goodies delivered in digi.me that help to organize and get the best out of the knowledge you have gathered. The more meaningful annotations you provide the better they will work for you. 

Once you have create a folder (or more) for your bookmarks you can go off to the Internet and start adding interesting sites. The first way to do that is to use the “Add to bookmarks” button. The movie below shows how to use it. When you click it – you will be transfered to Your Bookmarks page. There you can select one or many folders where this bookmark should be placed, provide your own title for this bookmark, add some textual description and tags (comma or space separated). Once you are done – you can easily go back to the web page you were reading.

And what to do when you have stumbled upon an interesting site, but none of your existing folders fits? The next movie shows you how to create a folder while bookmarking a web site.

In the previous part we have told you we have a solution for the times when you cannot spend time selecting folders, etc. during the bookmarking process. In that case you should use “Drop to inbox” button. The next video shows you how to easily “drop” interesting sites to the special Inbox folder in your bookmarks. It also shows you how you can later organize these bookmarks that ended up in the Inbox.

Finally, what if you would like to point the folder where the site should be bookmarked or add tags without going to the digi.me bookmarking site? The third button, “Tag into Inbox” is the right solution. When you click it, it will bring up a dialog. Simply provide tags (comma or space separated) you would like your bookmark to be tagged with. And if you remember the exact name of the folder add it with d: before the its name; in case the name has more than one words – put it in the quotation marks. The last movie in this tutorial shows you it works.

• otaguj i wrzuć do digi.me – bywa też, że masz akurat tyle (i tylko tyle) czasu aby podać kilka tagów i wskazać odpowiednie katalogi. Oto rozwiązanie na takie sytuacje: naciśnij ten przycisk, dodaj tagi (oddzielone spacjami albo przecinkami) i podaj do których katalogów ma zostać dodana dana strona (poprzedź nazwę katalogu z d:, np.: d:“mój katalog”). I to wszystko.
• moje digi.me – a kiedy będziesz już chciał znaleźć coś w Twoich ulubionych lub uporządkować Twoją skrzynkę odbiorczą – naciśnij ten przycisk a zostaniesz przeniesiony do Twoich ulubionych stron w digi.me. Czyż nie jest to proste?

The reason is that these buttons will come insensible in your everyday use of digi.me. They will streamline the process of gathering and accessing your knowledge. 

There are four buttons:

• post to digi.me – when you visit a site you like click this button and you will be brought to the bookmarks page. There you can tag this page, add some additional description and bookmark this page into selected (or newly created) folder (or folders). Afterwords you will be able to go back to the page you have just bookmarked.
• drop to digi.me – we know that not always you have the luxury of spare time to tag and classify interesting sites you have stumbled upon. No worries. Just hit this button and in a blink of an eye the interesting site will be bookmarked in your Inbox (you will learn about it in following tutorials).
• tag into digi.me – sometimes you have just enough time to come up with a few tags or thing about folders, or both, where to bookmark the visited site. Here is the solution for that situation: hit this button, add tags (space or coma separated) and names of the folders (prepended with d:, e,g,. d:“my folder”) to where that site should be bookmarked. Your done.
• my digi.me – when you want to find something in your bookmarks or organize your Inbox – press this button and you will be transfered to the bookmarks page in digi.me. Simple as that.

Now, here is how you can install them.

If you use Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, or a similar browser – simply drag and drop the links (from the browser addons page) with each button to your bookmarks bar in your web browser.
