Time really goes fast.. this <b>digital art sketching blog</b> is now one year old. So time for little recap.<br /> When I started this blog, I thought, that If I only practice/sketch everyday atleast a little, I will improve a lot in one year!<br /> Hard to say how much I have improved but not that much as I wanted.<br /> <br /> <h3> <span style="color: #274e13;"><span style="background-color: white;">Goals from a year ago:</span></span></h3> <span style="background-color: #6aa84f;"> <span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #38761d;">(comments on green)</span></span></span><br /> <br /> <h3> </h3> <h4> Long Term</h4> <ul> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">I will make one sketching/painting post everyday in this blog for a year! If im not able for some reason, I have to catch up making many in few day. (in 23th of October this blog has to have 365 posts)&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <span style="color: #cc0000;"> <span style="color: #38761d;">This blog currently doesnt have 365 posts but I am very satisfied the amount I have been sketching. Only I had few long breaks that I couldnt sketch but I sketched almost every topic in Cgtalk in this year.</span></span><br /> <br /> <ul> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">In one year I will be at least twice as good as I am now!</span></li> </ul> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;">Well... lets see! I will make the cowboy painting (which was the one I started the blog) again in this weekend... so we can see if I have made improvement.</span></span><br /> <br /> <ul> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">I will improve and read theory in these painting and drawing areas:</span></li> <ul> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">Character drawing/painting</span></li> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">Vehicle drawing/designing</span></li> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">Environment painting</span></li> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">Color Theory</span></li> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">Perspective&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> </ul> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;">I think I didnt "study" enought in this year. I readed one book of perspective (which helped me alot, but still need some sketching practising) and James Gurney`s Color and Light. I still need study/read lot more.&nbsp;</span></span><br /> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;">Also only area I really went was little bit of anatomy and character sketching.. this I have to finish. </span></span><br /> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><br /></span> <br /> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><br /></span> <br /> <ul><ul> </ul> </ul> <h4> Short Term</h4> <ul> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">I will finish Jose M. Parramons "Color pencil drawing" book in the end of this year!</span></li> </ul> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;">Done!</span></span><br /> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;">&nbsp;</span> </span><br /> <ul> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">I will make portfolio in next few months</span></li> </ul> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;"><a href="http://www.sampopesonen.com/">Done!</a> but next year I have to make a better one.</span></span><br /> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;">&nbsp;</span> </span><br /> <ul> <li><span style="color: #cc0000;">I will make series painting(No more only sketches!!) and ask people to criticize it, to see my biggest mistakes. So I can crush my mistakes and really IMPROVE!</span></li> </ul> <span style="color: #cc0000;">&nbsp;</span><span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;">I think my biggest fault is that I never did really anything really series painting. Only sketching. Only few I spend more than 2h.</span></span><br /> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></span> <br /> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></span> <br /> <h3> Overall:</h3> So I think next year I have to have more stronger vision on goals and keep them more in my mind. Also I should update Short term goals more often and try to meet them better, not only sketching! (which isnt that bad neither). I really have to start study the theory more! I was thinking to have an goal to read one book in every two month. Book of next two month will be "Alla Prima".<br /> <br /> So study more, sketch atleast the same! I hope next year I will improve more than I did in this year!<br /> <h3> <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></span></h3> <br /> <br /> <ul> </ul> sampohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14854433698117335735noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3298839367903654241.post-72290762468316955422013-10-19T13:22:00.001-07:002013-10-19T13:22:58.916-07:00both Cgtalk sketches...<br /> <br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS64UwFzJXLFAZHoDahyfNJl27TvBuU-R5ijrPpXyp2jF__K7FxhXSiYCuirj_L9XQkXm34I8dkLDmAqCqtpxuawCKijX2kYdqyojOHipXSLelxN5tY9Y4smVN9OxunIaY510cDMQoJnM/s1600/glass-castle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS64UwFzJXLFAZHoDahyfNJl27TvBuU-R5ijrPpXyp2jF__K7FxhXSiYCuirj_L9XQkXm34I8dkLDmAqCqtpxuawCKijX2kYdqyojOHipXSLelxN5tY9Y4smVN9OxunIaY510cDMQoJnM/s320/glass-castle.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> <br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXc3R4QL7PGf8OCh-rkpKrH1Cj1lXK3uuUKWTNWDRgHAeejxgcORAF4U9_tSF5ScpqKPt-0MThP3d967b14uBQpwrQW_KZ7Az3pbSJ3pV5TUSv3XimNfWrgs7fm32wprs67tIcpkF018I/s1600/redrain.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXc3R4QL7PGf8OCh-rkpKrH1Cj1lXK3uuUKWTNWDRgHAeejxgcORAF4U9_tSF5ScpqKPt-0MThP3d967b14uBQpwrQW_KZ7Az3pbSJ3pV5TUSv3XimNfWrgs7fm32wprs67tIcpkF018I/s320/redrain.jpg" width="253" /></a></div> <br />sampohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14854433698117335735noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3298839367903654241.post-69627262399474462862013-10-19T12:18:00.002-07:002013-10-19T12:18:46.784-07:00cgtalk topic Green Queen.
