Well the time has come to hang up my designing smock. Designing has been a lot of fun but with 3 small kiddos and one more on the way its just too hard to get it all done. I've really enjoyed my time and don't plan on completely disappearing. I will still post from time to time and have a freebie now and then.

I thought I'd share a really fun alternative to the everyday photo frame. I first saw this done at a cherry orchard and winery we visit every summer a couple of years ago. I put mine next to my entryway so i added coat hooks and its been so practical. I created this project before i had the digi bug or pse otherwise you may find scrapbook pages here lol.

This is such an easy project. I used my window as is curtain hooks and all. Simply add something to the back so it can hang. Print your photos and adhere them using your favorite adhesive. I used tape...then switched to glue dots. Also i guesstimated the size of the glass...hence the photos are slightly smaller. Actually at the time the program i used probably only gave me the printing option of 4x6, 5x7 etc. but it would be really easy fix in the program i have now. I'll have to do that as soon as i get my new printer.

See what been blooming in my garden? I had to bring some fresh flowers inside to enjoy! This time of year is so exciting. I always have something new blooming! And oh is my poor garden a mess....When i started my gardens i only had one child and was not into scrapping so it was much easier to keep up with. Now i have 3, one more on the way and can't seem to pull myself away from the pc for more than a few minutes at a time lol. Oh well weeds deserve a chance to live too right?

1) I went to 13 different schools

2) I've been married for 10 years in June, together for 16

3) weird fact: I didn't get my driver's license until I was 23...long story short I never failed the test just didn't bother to take it until them. I hit a parked car the first time I ever drove and it took me that long to get over my fear. lol I'm okay now. I think ...lol

4) I go to Door County, WI every summer with my family.

5) I'm pregnant with my 4th child

6) weird fact: I think the baby is a girl, because when i was pregnant with my 2 boys I couldn't eat or be anywhere near cucumbers or melons. With my daughter I couldn't eat or be near garlic or onions. I can't be near garlic or onions this time either.

Hummie has an interesting challenge on her blog called Whats in your purse?

The rules per hummies blog

You must:
1. Include your hand in the photo so we can relate to how big the purse is.
2. Dump the contents of your purse and share another photo, listing the contents of your purse.

I change my purse all the time depending on what I'm wearing or time of year. This is the one I've been using lately. The brown leather matches the shoes I like to wear.

Ok when I dumped the contents of my purse cracker crumbs went flying everywhere. Guess it was time to clean it out huh? lol

Inside

1 pile of receipts and junk for the garbage

3 (2) dvd's i just rented Good luck Chuck and Becoming Jane they are from the redbox at the grocery store. I just love it you can grab a movie for only a dollar a day!

6 3 bracelets. I thought they were so cute in the store but they are so loud when the clank together it drives me crazy.

11 one empty sea band container and i wasn't even wearing the sea bands so that really doesn't need to be in there.

13. i also have a sd card in a little carry case for when i go to the photo kiosk since my printer is broken.

I usually have a few diapers and toys or a sippy cup but not today.

I have a new purse I haven't had a chance to use yet that has a light in the inside! I think that is so smart. How many times have we tried to find something in our purse at night in the car and just can't because it's so dark?

I made my first badge album with a kit I'm still working on called Jump. It was so much fun and turned out really cute (at least i think so). I made one for me and I'm working on one for each of the kids grandparents. Creating badge albums is so easy. You can find the badge protectors at walmart for under $2.00 or most office supply stores. edit: I should say you can find it at most Walmarts. We just finally got a Walmart in our town and I hate it. Its so small and doesn't carry most of the things I want like badge protectors. So I had to go out of town to pick up mine. The trip was well worth it though!

Here is a little sneak peak of the kit I'm working on.

I have the badge album complete just need to package it up so look for that and my new kit in the store sometime next week!

Scrap 4 Autism

This month i participated in a fundraiser with 38 other designers. We put together a kit as a thank you for your donation to the Walk for Autism. This money goes directly to the foundation no store or designers will receive any funds. It was alot of fun and turned out great! Its for a really good cause as well.

Well i guess i haven't been too good about blogging lately. Sorry about that. A few things have been going on. First my sister had to work some crazy hours so we won't be doing the easter collab after all. But i'm sure we will get together on something else very soon.

What else....still haven't finished up the elements for my imagine kit. It may just stay as a paper pack lol. I started working on another kit a boy one. and I'm trying to make some badge albums for myself out of it and if it turns out ok i'll let ya know.

I was going crazy spring cleaning the week before easter since we host Easter dinner at our house. That left me completely exhausted...or so i thought! Turns out I am pregnant with my 4th child! Which is fine by me I wanted four so this is it! its all down hill from here right? lol

Anyway I've been really discouraged when it comes to designing lately. I'm not sure i can put the hours into that i need to be successful. I'll will see how i feel. So far in this pregnancy i just feel really tired not too sick yet...

any way...hopefully i'll be back in a few days with something exciting like a freebie! who knows it could happen lol!

Hybrid Project idea Notebook-Journal

I have a hybrid project for you today!! This project was inspired by a gift I received from my sister. I printed papers and elements from my Wildflower kit to cover a regular size notebook. Then I took ribbon and cut and tied them around the spiral. This project is a quick and easy way to take something ordinary and a little punch to it. These notebooks would be great for kids to take to school or for a quick personalized gift.

One note i would recommend using some sort of glue dots or spray adhesive rather than a glue stick. I used a glue stick at first and had to go back and reglue. lol Maybe roughing up the surface would help because it does seem a little glossy. Also I printed on regular computer paper which turned out fine. However one little spec of water wrecks it. (as you may see in my photo this happened to me) So if this is something you want to last a while or for small children I would recommend putting some kind of protection on the cover.

It's also a good idea to take a small sample of the papers with you when picking out ribbon. I forgot which is why my green isn't exactly the perfect match uggh! Oh well you get the general idea right? lol

I just wanted to let you know I have the Imagine papers available in the store. You can pick them up for $2.99 here. Plan on adding elements soon. I really wanted to have the entire kit ready but dh got sick and the kids all got sick again. ugggg! So i really haven't had a whole lot of time to scrap.

Whats up and New Challenges in the forums

I wish i could say our little vacation was restful but while it was a lot of fun we did so much running around i feel like i didn't get to relax at all. lol We went to a waterpark resort. It was really nice we got a three bedroom condo so there was plenty of room for my family and my sisters. The kids loved it. I did too. Im not into the slide thing really. I lean towards the wave pool and lazy river. The main reason for the trip was to celebrate my dh's birthday. The poor guy was sick almost the whole time we were there. Fortunately he did feel well enough for the two of us to go out to a nice dinner alone one night.
When we got back...the stomach flu hit each member of our family one at a time. uggh I was the last one to get it. but luckily i lost three pounds out of the deal. hopefully i can start exercising and keep those pounds off and lose a few more. 10 more to go to get back to my pre baby weight!
Well i have a lot of catching up to do in the digi world. hopefully i will be caught up by the end of the week.
