C Programming - Functions

Functions

In C programming language, we can divide a large program into the basic building blocks known as function. The function contains the set of programming statements enclosed by {}. A function can be called multiple times to provide the reusability and modularity to the C program. In other words, we can say that the collection of functions creates a program. The function is also known as procedure or subroutine in other programming languages.

Advantage of functions in C

Here is the list of advantages of C functions.

By using functions, we can avoid rewriting the same logic/code again and again in a program.
We can call C functions any number of times in a program and from any place in a program.
We can track a large C program easily when it is divided into multiple functions.
Reusability is the main achievement of C functions.
However, Function calling is always overhead in a C program.

Function Aspects

There are three aspects of a C function.

Function declaration A function must be declared globally in a c program to tell the compiler about the function name, function parameters, and return type.
Function call Function can be called from anywhere in the program. The parameter list must not differ in function calling and function declaration. We must pass the same number of functions as it is declared in the function declaration.
Function definition It contains the actual statements which are to be executed. It is the most important aspect to which the control comes when the function is called. Here, we must notice that only one value can be returned from the function.

Types of Functions

Library Functions: are the functions which are declared in the C header files such as scanf(), printf(), gets(), puts(), ceil(), floor() etc.
User-defined functions: are the functions that are created by the C programmer, so that he/she can use them many times. It reduces the complexity of a big program and optimizes the code.

Return Value

A C function may or may not return a value from the function. If you don't have to return any value from the function, use void for the return type.

Let's see a simple example of a C function that doesn't return any value from the function.

Example without return value:

void hello(){  
printf("hello c");  
}

If you want to return any value from the function, you need to use any data type such as int, long, char, etc. The return type depends on the value to be returned from the function.

Let's see a simple example of a C function that returns the int value from the function.

Example with return value:

return 10;  
}

C Library Functions

Library functions are the inbuilt function in the C language that are grouped and placed at a commonplace called the library. Such functions are used to perform some specific operations. For example, printf is a library function used to print on the console or terminal. The library functions are created by the developers of compilers. All C standard library functions are defined inside the different header files saved with the extension .h. We need to include these header files in our program to make use of the library functions defined in such header files. If we took an example of library functions such as printf/scanf we need to include stdio.h in our program which is a header file that contains all the library functions regarding standard input/output.

A list of mostly used header files is given in the following table.

stdio.h

This is a standard input/output header file. It contains all the library functions regarding standard input/output.

conio.h

This is a console input/output header file.

string.h

It contains all string related library functions like gets(), puts(),etc.

stdlib.h

This header file contains all the general library functions like malloc(), calloc(), exit(), etc.

math.h

This header file contains all the math operations-related functions like sqrt(), pow(), etc.

time.h

This header file contains all the time-related functions.

C User-Defined Functions

User-Defined functions are built by users in C language that are used at commonplace user can modify and create according to their use Such functions are used to perform some specific operations. For example, If we create a function to add to numbers

How an API works?

When you hang around programmers, you might have heard about APIs and how they can be

used to perform certain tasks or retrieve some data ,But what are these exactly, and why were they created?

Let me explain the problem with a simple, non-IT related example.

When you go to a restaurant and order some food, you interact with the waiter. You can order food and drinks, ask questions about the menu, request and pay the bill, and much more.

In this example, the waiter is shielding you from all the complicated stuff that happens

behind the scenes. you don’t have to worry about stoves, ovens, dishes, managing stock, or pouring drinks.

He is the interface between you and all of the services that a restaurant offers. Giving you a way to interact with the restaurant while still shielding you from all the complexity behind the scenes. In a way, the waiter can be seen as the API of the restaurant, and through this example, you intuitively understand why they are useful.

The term API stands for Application Programmable Interface, and it’s a way for different programs to work together in various ways. There are many types of API’s and reasons why they are used.

I’ll highlight 4 of them here:

For starters, API’s can be used to get access to data from third parties. In the restaurant example, the waiter can provide you information on the status of your order, without you having to go to the kitchen yourself.

Another example would be the weather app on your phone. Google or Apple have not gone out and put temperature sensors all over the world. No, instead these apps use the API of a third-party to retrieve weather predictions. Apple for instance is using the API of The Weather Channel.

API’s allow different apps and services to exchange information. These days, it’s hard to find a service that doesn’t have an API. There are API’s to lookup recipes, lyrics, information on barcodes, zip codes, available parking spaces, public holidays, and so on and so on.

Aside from just accessing data, API's can also be used to hide complexity and perform tasks.

In the restaurant example, you don’t need to know how to prepare a perfect roll of Sushi,

you just order one.

Another example would be the operating systems on our computers and phones. App developers don’t have to worry about setting up a WiFi connection, drawing shapes onto the screen to make a beautiful user interface or how to talk to the various sensors like the accelerometer or GPS.

No, instead the operating system gives developers a bunch of API’s that simplify all of this. If an app wants to show a button on the screen, it just asks the system to render one. The app doesn’t have to worry about what device it is running on, what hardware it has, screen resolution, or anything like that.

It makes developers more efficient because they can focus on what matters to them.

But aside from accessing data and abstracting complexity, API's can also be used to extend

functionality. For instance, on iOS, applications can show a widget in Notification Center.

And to do that, the app notifies the system through an API that it has a widget available.

And if the user adds it to their Notification Center, the system will contact the app to

ask how it should display the widget.

Another example is Siri, Google Assistant or Alexa. These personal assistants are quite clever but external developers can use the assistant’s API to extend the functionalities even further.

Google Home

My Google Home for instance didn’t know how to turn my smart plugs on and off.

But that changed, when the vendor integrated with the Google Assistant through its API.

Suddenly, Google became aware of the new hardware, its capabilities and how to interact with

them.

You might not realize it, but API’s are all around us. You’ve probably seen messages like these, your phone asking for permission to use your location or microphone. That brings us to the final use case: API’s can be used as gatekeepers.

For instance, on mobile platforms, the system only has a handful of API’s that can be

used to get your location. And because it’s centralized in the system, it’s really easy for iOS or Android to notify you when an app is using your location. So it’s not the app that is being nice, and asks permission first. No, it’s the system that does it for them.

There’s no way around it. What’s more, the system also gives the ability to revoke this permission at a later time, should you change your mind.

So every time your phone asks you for permission, you know that an app is using an API of the

system. And one that is privacy sensitive. And while that is great, there is an issue with this usually permission is only asked once

You might have used your Google or Facebook account to login to another website or app.

It’s easy, fast and convenient. But by doing that, we also give the website or app the permission to access some of our data. Like our name or email address.

This is great, because it puts us in control of our personal data. if you don’t want to share it, you just deny it. However, the problem here is that sometimes these permissions are long lasting and after

a while we forget what apps or websites we gave permission to access our data. This is what allowed Cambridge Analytica to collect massive amounts of data through the Facebook API.

They created a “personality quiz” that asked for permission to get some of your personal

data. However, if you gave it permission, the app could silently access your data for months,

even if you didn’t use it anymore.

Instead, you had to revoke the permission through the Facebook website. So, in short: API’s can act as gatekeepers, protecting our personal data and only giving it out to the apps we choose.

But we should be aware about how long those permissions last, and revoke them when we

no longer use an app. So time for a conclusion. API’s are all around us.They are used to get access to data so that multiple apps or services can work together.They can also hide complexity for developers, allowing them to not waste time on figuring out how GPS works for instance.

API’s can also be used to extend functionality of existing systems and finally, they can

act as gatekeepers to protect our personal data.

Computer programming is a medium for us to communicate with computers, just like we use Hindi or English to communicate with each other. Programming is a way for us to deliver our instructions to the computer

What is C programming?

C is a programming language. C is one of the oldest and finest programming languages. C was developed by Dennis Ritchie in 1972.

Uses of C

C is a language that is used to program a wide variety of systems. Some of the uses of C are as follows:

Major parts of Windows, Linux, and other operating systems are written in C.
C is used to write driver programs for devices like Tablets, Printers, etc.
C language is used to program embedded systems where programs need to run faster in limited memory.
C is used to develop games, an area where latency is very important, i.e., a computer has to react quickly to user input.

Chapter 1: Variables, Constants, and Keywords:

Variables

A variable is a container that stores a ‘value.’ In the kitchen, we have containers storing rice, dal, sugar, etc. Similar to that variable in c stores the value of a constant. Example:

a = 3	a is assigned “3”
b = 4.7	b is assigned “4.7”
c = 'A'	c is assigned “A”

Rules for naming variables in C :

1. The first character must be an alphabet or underscore(_).

2. No commas or blanks are allowed.

3. No special symbol other than underscore is allowed

4. Variable names are case sensitive

Constants

An entity whose value doesn’t change is called a constant.
Types of constant

Primarily there are 3 types of constant:

1. Integer Constant	-1,6,7,9
2. Real Constant	-322.1,2.5,7.0
3. Character Constant	‘a’,’$’,’@’(must be enclosed within single inverted commas)

Keywords

These are reserved words whose meaning is already known to the compiler. There are 32 keywords available in C programming:

auto	double	int	struct
break	long	else	switch
case	return	enum	typedef
char	register	extern	union
const	short	float	unsigned
continue	signed	for	void
default	sizeof	goto	volatile
do	static	if	while

The basic structure of a C program

All c programs have to follow a basic structure. A c program starts with the main function and executes instructions presents inside it. Each instruction terminated with a semicolon(;)

There are some basic rules which are applicable to all the c programs:

Every program's execution starts from the main function.
All the statements are terminated with a semi-colon.
Instructions are case-sensitive.
Instructions are executed in the same order in which they are written.

Comments

Comments are used to clarify something about the program in plain language. It is a way for us to add notes to our program. There are two types of comments in c:

Single line comment: //This is a comment.
Multi-line comment : /*This is multi-line comment*/

Note: Comments in a C program are not executed and ignored.

Compilation and execution

A compiler is a computer program that converts a c program into machine language so that it can be easily understood by the computer.

A program is written in plain text. This plain text is a combination of instructions in a particular sequence. The compiler performs some basic checks and finally converts the program into an executable.

Library functions

C language has a lot of valuable library functions which is used to carry out a certain task; for instance, printf function is used to print values on the screen.

Types of variables

Integer variables	int a=3;
Real variables	int a=7.7 (wrong as 7.7 is real) ; float a=7.7;
Character variables	char a=’B’;

Chapter 2: Instructions and Operators:

A C-program is a set of instructions. Just like a recipe - which contains instructions to prepare a particular dish.

Types of instructions in C:

1. Type declaration instruction
2. Arithmetic instruction
3. Control instruction

Type of declaration instruction:

int a;
float b;

other variations:

int i = 10; int j = i, int a = 2;
int j1 = a + j - i;

float b = a+3; float a = 1.1;    ==>Error! As we are trying to use a before defining it. 

int a,b,c,d;

a=b=c=d=30;                      ==> Value of a,b,c & d will be 30 each.

Arithmetic Instructions

Note:

1.No operator is assumed to be present

int i=ab ( Invalid )

int i=a*b ( valid )

2. There is no operator to perform exponentiation in c however we can use pow(x,y) from <math.h> (More in next chapter).

Type conversion

An Arithmetic operation between

int and int     ==> int
int and float   ==> float
float and float ==> float

5/2 --> 2               5.0/2 --> 2.5 //IMPORTANT!!
2/5 --> 0               2.0/5 --> 0.4 //IMPORTANT!!

NOTE:
int a = 3.5; //In this case, 3.5 (float) will be denoted to a 3 (int) because a cannot store floats.

float a = 8; // a will store 8.0 [8-->8.0(Promotion to float)]

Quick Quiz:

Question - int k=3.0/9 value of k? and why?

Solution - 3.0/9=0.333, but since k is an int, it cannot store floats & value 0.33 is demoted to 0.

Operator Precedence in C

3*x-8y is (3x)-(8y) or 3(x-8y)?

In the c language, simple mathematical rules like BODMAS no longer apply.

The answer to the above question is provided by operator precedence & associativity.

Cryptocurrencies in India are going to be banned as per the Indian government to introduce Digital Currency Bill in the parliament.

Cryptocurrency has approx 100 million investors in India in just the past 2 years after the supreme court removed the ban from the cryptocurrency. Now Indian Government and Reserve Bank of India are thinking to ban all the private cryptocurrencies in India and launching their own crypto as it is decentralized and is used in illegal things like drug dealing, terrorism, cybercrime, and all the other crimes.

Earlier this month a high-level meeting was done on Digital currencies in which the Indian Government has raised the issues like fraud, cybercrime, terror funding, and money laundering. Keeping in mind that Government will not lead terrorism in the country will ban it as early as possible.

Reserve Bank of India

RBI Governor Shashikanata Das showed his chariness about the unregulated growth of cryptocurrency in an event and said "On crypto...we have serious concerns from the point of view of macroeconomic and financial stability. How the issue has to be dealt with - we have given our detailed suggestions to the government; as far as I know, the matter is under the active consideration of the government, and the government will decide" also RBI is planning to bring its own Digital Currency in the market as per the popularity and public interest in the Digital currencies.

Crypto Exchanges

Currently, in India approx 12 to 15 Crypto-INR are working in the market will have their empire shut down after the official ban on all the private cryptocurrencies. In the upcoming days, Exchanges will have to face a very bad situation in the same way they came into existence.

STEP 2: Select any one niche for your site that is unique and less used so that you can have great and unique content on your site. Choose content that does not violates Google Adsense policies like try avoiding Copyrighted content and Pornographic Content.

STEP 3: The more you work on your site the more you have chances to get your AdSense approved. But you must need to post at least 20-30 Articles, each with a length of 800-1000 Words or more. Don’t copy any of the content from other sites ranked on google and try to be as unique and original as possible.

STEP 4: Now the thing that affects more to users that fails the AdSense approval. The navigation and linking of the content, pages, and menu which the users don't think of. What is a Blockchain?

Blockchains are incredibly popular nowadays, everyone is talking about it. You might be wondering why is it in trending these days.

To understand the logic, let's see the following questions :-

What is a blockchain?
How does it work?
What problems it solves?
How it can be used?

Like the name indicates, a blockchain is a chain of blocks that contains information. This technique was originally described in 1991 by a group of researchers and was originally intended to timestamp digital documents so that it’s not possible to backdate them or to tamper with them. Almost like a notary. However, it went by mostly unused until it was adapted by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009 to create the digital cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

A blockchain is a distributed ledger that is completely open to anyone. They have an interesting property: once some data has been recorded inside a blockchain, it becomes very difficult to change it.

How does it work?

Well, let’s take a closer look at a block.

Blocks

Each block contains some data, the hash of the block and the hash of the previous block.The data that is stored inside a block depends on the type of blockchain.

The Bitcoin blockchain for example stores the details about a transaction in here, such as the sender, receiver and amount of coins. A block also has a hash. You can compare a hash to a fingerprint. It identifies a block and all of its contents and it's always unique, just as a fingerprint. Once a block is created, it’s hash is being calculated. Changing something inside the block will cause the hash to change. So in other words: hashes are very useful when you want to detect changes to blocks. If the fingerprint of a block changes, it no longer is the same block. The third element inside each block is the hash of the previous block.This effectively creates a chain of blocks and it’s this technique that makes a blockchain so secure.

Let's take an example.

Three Blocks

Here we have a chain of 3 blocks. As you can see, each block has a hash and the hash of the previous block. So block number 3 points to block number 2 and number 2 points to number 1.

Now the first block is a bit special, it cannot point to previous blocks because it's the first one. We call this the genesis block.

Now let's say that you tamper with the second block. This causes the hash of the block to change as well.

Blocks

In turn that will make block 3 and all following blocks invalid because they no longer store a valid hash of the previous block. So changing a single block will make all following blocks invalid. But using hashes is not enough to prevent tampering.Computers these days are very fast and can calculate hundreds of thousands of hashes per second. You could effectively tamper with a block and recalculate all the hashes of other blocks to make your blockchain valid again.

So to mitigate this, blockchains have something called proof-of-work. It's a mechanism that slows down the creation of new blocks.

In Bitcoins case: it takes about 10 minutes to calculate the required Proof-of-work and add a new block to the chain.

Proof of work

This mechanism makes it very hard to tamper with the blocks, because if you tamper with 1 block, you'll need to recalculate the proof-of-work for all the following blocks. So the security of a blockchain comes from its creative use of hashing and the Proof-of-work (PoW) mechanism.

But there is one more way that blockchains secure themselves and that's by being distributed.

Peer to Peer

Instead of using a central entity to manage the chain, blockchains use a Peer-to-Peer network and anyone is allowed to join. When someone joins this network, he gets the full copy of the blockchain. The node can use this to verify that everything is still in order. Now let's see what happens when someone creates a new block. That new block is send to everyone on the network. Each node then verifies the block to make sure that it hasn't been tampered with. If everything checks out, each node adds this block to their own blockchain. All the nodes in this network create consensus. They agree about what blocks are valid and which aren't. Blocks that are tampered with will be rejected by other nodes in the network.

So to successfully tamper with a blockchain you'll need to tamper with all blocks on the chain, redo the proof-of-work for each block and take control of more than 50% of the peer-to-peer network. Only then will your tampered block become accepted by everyone else.

This is almost impossible to do! .Blockchains are also constantly evolving. One of the more recent developments is the creation of Smart contract.

Smart Contract

These contracts are simple programs that are stored on the blockchain and can be used to automatically exchange coins based on certain conditions. More on smart contracts in another post. The creation of blockchain technology peaked a lot of people’s interest.

Soon, others realized that the technology could be used for other things like storing medical records, creating a digital notary or even collecting taxes.

Changes and Improvements

Microsoft Windows 11 has introduced a new Entertainment Widget! The entertainment widget allows you to see new and featured movie titles available in the Microsoft Store. Selecting a movie will direct you to the Microsoft Store to see more information about that title. Just open widgets and click or tap on the “Add widgets” button and choose the entertainment widget. [UPDATE] The entertainment widget is available for Insiders in the following countries: The United States of America, The United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, and Japan.

The new entertainment widget gives you quick access to featured moved titles in the Microsoft Store.

The new context menus and other right-click menus have been updated to use acrylic material.

Fixes in the following tools of the operating system:-

Taskbar:

Fixed an issue where if you drag app icons on the Taskbar to rearrange them, it was making the apps launch or minimize when you released the icon.
Using a long press with a touch on an app icon in the Taskbar to open the jump list should now work.
After right-clicking the Start icon in the Taskbar, clicking somewhere else should now dismiss the menu more reliably.
Shift + Right-click on an app icon in the Taskbar will now bring up the window menu like it used to and not the jump list.
Windows 11 have addressed an issue that was making your mouse move slowly when hovering over the Taskbar previews.
Included the fix for an issue when using multiple Desktops where an app icon in the taskbar might give the appearance of multiple windows being open when that wasn’t the case on that Desktop.
Also fixed when using the Amharic IME you should no longer see an unexpected X next to the IME icon in the taskbar.
The issue where if you click on the input indicator on the Taskbar and it would unexpectedly highlight Quick Settings has been fixed.
Fixed when we hover over Task View, the preview flyout for your Desktops will no longer pop back up after using Esc to dismiss them.
Windows have made a fix to address an issue where explorer.exe might crash after hovering over the Task View icon in the Taskbar.
Fixed an issue where the selected date in the calendar flyout was out of sync with the date in the Taskbar.
Made an update to address a scenario resulting in some Insiders not seeing the lunar calendar text in the calendar flyout when enabled in Settings.
This flight addressed an issue that could unexpectedly make the Taskbar background transparent.
Right-clicking the focus assist icon in the taskbar should now show a context menu.
The issue from the previous flight where icons in the taskbar corner were getting crushed against the top of the Taskbar has been addressed.
The tooltip for the location in use icon in the Taskbar should no longer appear blank sometimes.

Settings:

Windows fixed an issue making Settings crash on launch periodically.
Using the volume mixer sliders in Sound Settings should be more responsive now, as well as the page responsiveness as a whole.
Fixed an issue resulting in Disk and Volumes Settings’ change size option being clipped.
Also fixed the non-functional verify link under Backup Settings – this has been fixed.
Fixed The Power and Battery Settings page should no longer be reporting that the battery saver is engaged if it’s not.
The Power and Battery Settings page should also now not crash when launched from Quick Settings.
Improved the grammatical error in the Sign-in Settings text.
The “I forgot my PIN” link was unexpectedly missing in Sign-in Settings when a PIN was set up and has now been returned.
Also fixed the issue where the Move option under Apps & Features in Settings wasn’t working reliably should be addressed in this build.
Windows have mitigated a problem where some of the colors in Settings weren’t updating after switching between dark and light mode, leaving the unreadable text.
Has done some work to help improve the performance of Settings when switching between light and dark mode.
Also addressed an issue where some of the elements of the Themes page in Settings would end up crowded together when the window size was small.
Resolved an issue where the Pen menu toggle under Taskbar Settings was not in sync with the actual state of the feature.
Changes made to “Dismiss notification after this amount of time” in Accessibility Settings should now persist.
Added some of the icons you could enable in Taskbar Settings were erroneously labeled Windows Explorer even though that’s not what they were – this should now be fixed.
The Connect text in Quick Settings has been improved and updated to say Cast.

File Explorer:

Clicking the command bar button twice should now close any dropdown that appeared.
The new command bar should now appear when “Open folders in a separate process” is enabled under File Explorer Options > View.
This build addresses an issue where right-clicking a file and selecting Open With > Choose another app might launch the file in the default app rather than opening the Open With dialog.
Also fixed an issue the desktop and File Explorer context menu would stop launching.

Search:

Microsoft fixed an issue where the option to verify your account in Search wasn’t working.
Hovering over the Search icon on a secondary monitor will now show the flyout on the correct monitor.
Improved, Search should now work if you open Start and start typing after having gone to the apps list and back.

Widgets:

When using the Outlook client with a Microsoft account, Calendar, and To-Do updates should sync faster down to the widgets.
Also addressed an issue where if you added multiple widgets quickly from the settings of the widget, it could result in some of the widgets not being visible on the board.
Other fixes, a bug where widgets could all become stuck in a loading state (blank squares in the window).
The traffic widget should now follow the Windows mode (light or dark).
The title of the sports widget should no longer mismatch with the content of the widget.

Other:

This build addresses an issue where Alt + Tab was getting stuck open sometimes after you released the keys and had to be manually dismissed.
Microsoft made a fix for an issue where the Narrator's focus wasn’t ending up on the emoji panel after using the keyboard shortcut to open it.
Magnifier’s lens view has been updated so the lens now has rounded corners.
Windows found an issue that was noticeably impacting Start launch reliability for some Insiders, and have addressed it with this flight.
Windows have updated the “Most Used” text in the Start menu’s app list so it should no longer be getting clipped.
Using the semantic zoom in Start’s app list should no longer result in the list being pushed down and to the right off the edge of the window.
Windows fixed an issue where if you pressed WIN + Z you would need to press Tab before you could use the arrow key to navigate through the snap layouts.
Also addressed an issue where an acrylic area could get left on the screen after repeatedly snapping and unsnapping a window with touch.
Other fixes are done some work to mitigate an unexpected flash when moving a snapped window with touch.
Improvement made a change to help window borders have a little more contrast when “Show accent color on title bars and windows borders” was turned off.

Known issues

[REMINDER]

When upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10 or when installing an update to Windows 11, some features may be deprecated or removed. See details here.

Start:

In some cases, you might be unable to enter text when using Search from Start or the Taskbar. If you experience the issue, press WIN + R on the keyboard to launch the Run dialog box, then close it.
Based on feedback, Microsoft is working on adding access keys to WIN + X so that you can do things like “WIN + X M” to launch Device Manager. Insiders may see this functionality in this build, however, Microsoft is currently investigating an issue in which sometimes the option is unexpectedly unavailable.

Taskbar:

There is an issue in this build where Explorer.exe will crash when the date and time button on the Taskbar is clicked to access new notifications with Focus Assist turned off. The workaround for this is to enable Focus assist to priority or alarms mode. (Note: that when focus assist is turned on, notification popups won’t appear, but they will be in the notification center when opened.)
The Taskbar will sometimes flicker when switching input methods.
Taskbar previews may draw partially offscreen.

Settings:

When launching the Settings app, a brief green flash may appear.
When using Quick Settings to modify Accessibility settings, the settings UI may not save the selected state.
The button to rename your PC doesn’t work in this build. If needed, this can be done using sysdm.cpl.
Settings will crash when clicking “Facial recognition (Windows Hello)” under Sign-in Settings if Windows Hello is already set up.
Reset this PC and Go back buttons in Settings > System > Recovery does not function. Reset and rollback can be accessed from the Windows Recovery Environment by selecting System > Recovery > Advanced startup, and pressing Restart now. Once in Windows Recovery, choose Troubleshoot.
Choose Reset this PC to perform a reset.
Choose Advanced options > Uninstall Updates > Uninstall latest feature update to perform a rollback.

File Explorer:

Explorer.exe crashes in a loop for Insiders using the Turkish display language when the battery charge is at 100%.
When right-clicking the desktop or File Explorer, the resulting context menu and submenus may appear partially off-screen.
Clicking a desktop icon or context menu entry may result in the wrong item being selected.

Search:

After clicking the Search icon on the Taskbar, the Search panel may not open. If this occurs, restart the “Windows Explorer” process, and open the search panel again.
When you hover your mouse over the Search icon on the Taskbar, recent searches may not be displayed. To work around the issue, restart your PC.
The search panel might appears black and not display any content below the search box.

Widgets:

Widgets board may appear empty. To work around the issue, you can sign out and then sign back in again.
Launching links from the widgets board may not invoke apps to the foreground.
Widgets may be displayed in the wrong size on external monitors. If you encounter this, you can launch the widgets via touch or WIN + W shortcut on your actual PC display first and then launch on your secondary monitors.

Store:

The install button might not be functional yet in some limited scenarios.
Rating and reviews are not available for some apps.

Windows Security:

Device Security is unexpectedly saying “Standard hardware security not supported” for Insiders with supported hardware.
“Automatic sample submission” is unexpectedly turned off when you restart your PC.

Localization:

There is an issue where some Insiders may be missing some translations from their user experience for a small subset of languages running the latest Insider Preview builds. To confirm if you have been impacted, please visit this Answers forum post and follow the steps for remediation.

What is Pegasus?

Pegasus is a spyware software created by Isreal's Cyberarm NSO Group. It can be installed on a mobile device (Android and IOS) to hack or spy on the victim which costs a million dollars for spying on a single device. NSO Group provides Cyber Security and Surveillance, this group is working for an Anti-Terrorism program under the Israeli Government.

Recently an article was published by Amnesty International in which thousands of names were on the list for being spied by the Pegasus.

Amnesty International is taking too much interest in this Pegasus Issue and has named it "Pegasus Project" and blaming the Indian Government for this issue.

Who is Amnesty International?

Let's talk a little about Amnesty International, last year Amnesty International was thrown out of the country for spreading fake news and for getting donations from Anti-India projects. This is why Amnesty International spreading fake news and showing its hate for the Indian Government.

According to Amnesty, the Current Indian Government is taking the help of Isreal for spying on the opposition party and its leaders. But the truth is the list which Amnesty International published has only the name of losers journalists and politicians, who never won any awards and elections. The thing is why any government will spend lots of money on this costly Pegasus software for inactive people and the other thing is why only an International Media (Amnesty) is spreading such a piece of fake news for a country. It is clearly an act of revenge.

The day when this media house published reports Indian opposition are freaked out. Everyday opposition is raising a ruckus in both Loksabha and Rajyasabha. Parliament session is being adjourned without any proceedings. These media houses are only paid by Anti-India propagandists for spreading their propaganda.

Shortcut	Description
Tab	Move to the next cell, to the right of the currently selected cell.
Ctrl+A	Select all contents of a worksheet.
Ctrl+B	Bold all cells in the highlighted section.
Ctrl+C	Copy all cells in the highlighted section.
Ctrl+D	Fill down. Fills the cell beneath with the contents of the selected cell. To fill more than one cell, select the source cell and press Ctrl+Shift+Down arrow to select multiple cells. Then press Ctrl+D to fill them with the contents of the original cell.
Ctrl+F	Search current sheet.
Ctrl+G	Go to a certain area.

Alt+Tab	Cycles through applications.
Alt+Spacebar	Opens the system menu.
Alt+Backspace	Undo.
Alt+Enter	While typing text in a cell, pressing Alt+Enter moves to the next line, allowing for multiple lines of text in one cell.
Alt+=	Creates a formula to sum all of the above cells.
Alt+'	Allows formatting on a dialog box.
F1	Opens the help menu.
F2	Edits the selected cell.
F3	After a name is created, F3 pastes names.
F4	Repeats last action. For example, if you changed the color of text in another cell, pressing F4 changes the text in cell to the same color.
F5	Goes to a specific cell. For example, C6.
F6	Move to the next pane.
F7	Spell check selected text or document.
F8	Enters Extend Mode.
F9	Recalculates every workbook.
F10	Activates the menu bar.
F11	Creates a chart from selected data.
F12	Save As option.
Shift+F1	Opens the "What's This?" window.

About Output Devices In Detail :

Monitor

A Monitor is an output device that displays all graphical user interfaces and processes. The monitor is a television-like device. A monitor usually comprises the visual display, circuitry, casing, and power supply. The display device in modern monitors is typically a thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) with LED backlighting having replaced cold-cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) backlighting.

Previous monitors used a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT). Monitors are connected to the computer via VGA, Digital Visual Interface (DVI), HDMI, Display Port, USB-C, Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS), or other proprietary connectors and signals.

Speakers

Speakers are the most used computer output devices that receive electromagnetic waves from the computer's sound card and produce output in the form of sound waves (audio). These speakers are also called Multimedia Speakers. They are usually capable of audio uses like mp3 player, video games sound, home theatre, etc.

Headphones

A Headphone is a listening device with two small speakers and sometimes with a mic. Headphones are small speakers that can be worn on the head covering both ears. Like speakers, headphones contain transducers that convert an electric signal into sound waves.

Printer

Printers are the most commonly used output devices that print text, forms, graphics, and pictures on paper. A Printer receives commands from connected computers and makes hard copies of electronic data. It can be shared with many computers connected to the same network. Printers are of many types some can only print with computer commands, some printers are color printers and some can scan hard copies as well as print.

Types of Printer:-

Laser-Jet Printer

A Laser-Jet printer is a type of printer that uses a laser and electrical charge model instead of the traditional printing of ink onto paper. Laser printers have increased the neatness and sophistication of print projects, with typical resolutions of 600 dots per inch or higher.

Ink-Jet Printer

An Ink-Jet Printer is a type of computer printing device that recreates a digital image by propelling droplets of ink onto paper and plastic substrates. Inkjet printers are the most commonly used type of printer and range from small inexpensive consumer models to expensive professional machines.

Character Printer

A Character Printer is a printer that prints one character at a time. Typical a Character printer is the dot matrix printer.

Dot-Matrix

A Dot-matrix printer sometimes called an impact matrix printer, is a printer in which ink is applied to a surface using a relatively low-resolution dot matrix for layout.

Projector

A Projector is an optical output device that projects a computer screen, presentation, document, pictures, and videos on surfaces like walls and curtains. It has many options to take input from such as HDMI Port, DVI-D Port, and VGA Port, It also has an audio port. Movie theatre uses high-resolution Projector and offices use this type of projectors.

Keyboard

The Keyboard is a primary input device that allows us to enter letters, numbers, symbols, and other characters into the computer. The Keyboard is the most used input device and it is mostly used for entering data. Finger Stroke on the keys of a keyboard is called typing.

Mouse

A Mouse is a pointing device that helps to control the movement of the cursor on the monitor. It directly interacts with Graphical User Interface (GUI) to move and select icons, files, software, and folders.

Touchpad

A Touchpad is a flat control surface used to perform functions on a laptop. It is used in laptops as an alternative to a mouse.

Microphone (Mic)

A Microphone (Mic) is an input device that captures audio waves and converts them into electric signals. These electrical signals are processed and converted into a digital signal to play sounds on the audio device.

Scanner

A Scanner is an input device used for scanning documents, photos, creating pdf documents. It is used to make electronic copies or soft copies of paper documents. It could be attached with a Printer or could be a single scanner machine.

Bar Code Reader

A Barcode Reader is an optical scanner that reads printed barcodes and decodes data contain in the barcode and send data to the computer.

Optical Mark Reader (OMR)

Optical Mark Reader (OMR) is an input device that performs a process called optical mark recognition it is the process of capturing human-marked data from document forms such as surveys and tests (CCEP). This device scans ticked of shaded answers from the multiple-choice questionnaires.

Graphic Tablet

A Graphics Tablet is an input device that enables users to write, draw, sketch, make animations and graphics by hand. It is also known as Digitizer, Drawing Tablet, Drawing Pad, Digital Drawing Tablet, Pen Board, and Digital Art Board. This device is mostly used by Graphic Designers, Architectures, Construction Workers, Students, Drawing Artists, etc.

Light Pen

A Light Pen is a pen-like pointing input device that is used to select menu items and draw on the monitor screen. It directly interacts with the graphical user interface (GUI) in the form of lighting rays.

Track Ball

A Trackball is an input device that is just like a mouse. It has full control of the cursor. Users don't have to move or drag the whole device like a mouse, just scrolling its ball is enough, you can move the cursor where ever you want.

Joystick

A Joystick is an input device with a handle used in controlling movement on a computer. It is aircraft handle like stick with a base with some buttons. Mostly used for gaming.
