Back to School

Okay, Winter break is almost over for me. No, I didn't do anything exciting, or impressive over break. I just caught up with all my shows, and nerded out with my friends playing card games, video games, etc.
From the looks of things Google's Nexus One looks like a really solid phone. Sadly, the Andriod OS seems more towards the Techies than the Businessmen. I'm fine being the former, but it's the latter that pays more. I don't want the OS to change it's goals, but I'm still not quite sure what those goals are. I feel mobile VoIP calls might be where the Gizmo thing is going, but until then, i'll just stick with my 'dumb' phone.

Winter Break

Yay, as a student, I'll take all the breaks I can get.
During this time of the year, my friends from college return home. To celebrate, my friends and I will be making a short, look forward to it. We should be planning/producing/shooting it all within next week!

1 Semester down

I finished my semester of ALL media classes, it was fun, but next semester I have to balance media classes with my general ed.(Eww)
We had a end of sem. film fest, and that was a fun get together.
It made me realized how many people I met this semester, and how just KNOWING them gives me a step up towards my career.
Special Thanks to Marla, Vina, Steve, and Dina, they are really great teachers, I look forward to more classes with them next semester.

Now more about MY ideas, I'm going to have a meeting about an AWESOME idea i'm putting together for summer. Going to have a crew meeting coming up, I'll update this when something new happens

Music Video

So, the Music video we were working on is finally here.

Enjoy my efforts of staying up til 3 in the mornings on shoots, the hours that was invested in this project yield a VERY good result.
~Related, Daewon and I were totally hogging 8 Mac's from the Comp. lab just to render the codec from the camera footage to edit enabled copies

I recently was on the shooting crew for a Music video.
It turned out really nice. I'll try to sneak a copy out soon, but here in post production world, I'm in charge of making a DVD menu...here's a taste, just imagine making MULTIPLE menu's and having them navigate to each other!

My portfolio is actually going to be the first physical piece of my work...
I have projects, and designs made, but up until now, they have all been virtual work, now one piece of it is going to be printed and made tangible, and it's something that SHOWCASES all my work. I feel like I should do a better job on this being I had 3 weeks extension already.

~Slightly unrelated, I feel my blog needs to look a tad bit better, and I really like shades of grey, but I don't want to change the background unless i'm redoing the whole layout, so I think my next project will be me actually coding a layout, FUN!

Okay, so from my absence, one can safely assume that I will return with bundles of goodies...good news, I bring forth...tales of my failures.
Massive amounts of computers were hogged for the conversion of our music video.
My documentary crew is on hiatus, and I can't find many of my past projects, to add to my DVD project.
now, school work aside...I need to locate the previous owner of my bike because apparently the title belongs to SOMEONE ELSE, so him giving me power of attorney meant nothing...yes I'm mad

LoveFest

LovEvolution, the renamed LoveFest is today.
This big electronic music parade happens once a year, and I'm going to enjoy myself there today. I'll try to post pictures up later.
The past week got more hectic as it went on, I learned I need to storyboard better.
I've also not been feeling my best, my body WOULD decide to crap out on me during a weekend where I plan to have fun.

Day 1

Okay, I was excited, and was up til ~3 in the morning after packing...which I delayed cause I was chatting with a couple people(I have bad priorities).
Despite all that, I STILL was able to wake me @ 8(quite an achievement for me) and was out the door by half past the hour.
Parking was a B*%&# and I ended up being late for class anyways.
The shoot today was rather straight forward, it was basically an exercise in camera work, I had 2 members of crew with me, 1 of which does wedding videos for a living, so basically I let the last guy practice the camera work, with me or my experience crew mate taking on the key shots.
I'm actually working on 2 other projects besides the documentary, getting permit for filming in Tilden park in Berkeley, and random assignments for school.
I can't wait for next semester when I have to do all this AND intern...
Yay!

*(LoveFest is this weekend, I would love to hang out with some people there)

Epic Week Ahead

I will be shooting my documentary tomorrow.
My crew and I have a general idea of what we need, and hopefully it will be enough.
I have an old SHARP VL-WD250...but I mean, it takes Mini DV, it's as good a camera to start with as any....
I'll keep updates on this blog, and possible might throw the finished product up here with permission of my crew.

He is pretty active on the internet and updates frequently.
I'll let you judge his comedic style, but bear in mind, those that aren't into the internet culture probably would not enjoy it to it's fullest potential

Opening Blog

So I finally got around to starting a blog. Sadly this was no intention of my own, in fact this was an assignment for one of my classes.

~~I will most likly have another posting later discussing some video I have to blog about~~(an assignment's an assignment).

This post will probably be edited, and removed manytimes over before the end of the week. If you doubt my ability to removed something that I already removed, you don't know me very well, when has fact or logic ever stopped me before?

Edit 1: I want to redo the layout, I've not touched HTML, or CSS since Highschool, I can prob figure it out, but I really don't want to devote the time...anyone wanna do it for me, or have just major keywords I should know for HTML 5?
