Italian designer Simone Simonelli presents Maisonette, it’s a collection of furniture for small spaces and each piece is multifunctional – in fact, Maisonette means in French ‘a small house’. For example, small table can be turned upside down and used as a tray, the trolley can become a side table and the tallest piece is a bookshelf that may be used as a clothes rail. Every piece is manufactured of solid alder wood treated with natural varnish and iron rod structures. This collection is right what you need if you live in modern conditions of small apartments.

An Amazing 5-Storied Townhouse With Plenty of Color And Patterns

This is an amazing 5-storied town house, the style of which reminds steam punk and fairy-tale at the same time. Plenty of colors, amazing shapes and lines, elevator for each floor. The WC surprises us with colorful tiles and wooden wall and ceiling. Mosaics are everywhere! The same pattern is on the walls of the giant hall, in the colorful juicy kid’s room, in the ceiling of almost every room. Mix of wood, mosaic glass, tiles and other materials add special atmosphere. There are two bathrooms – amazing sea theme and red poppies theme. It’s surprising how all these colors and different patterns combine in this interior but it’s awesome!

Lighthouse In Marine Style In New Zealand

This seafront house in New Zealand is owned by a couple who decided to realize their dream of living in a beacon on the south-eastern coast of Golden Bay. Architect Andy Clark helped them in making it. The plan is not only original but also very smart. The interior is, of course, marine. Lots of blue and white in every room: amazing kitchen with blue accessories and tableware, beautiful pendant hammocks in the balcony, plenty of marine details like boat clock or blue carpets and cushions. The inside is very lively and cool, the furniture is modern and partly vintage. Amazing beacon retreat for a couple of dreamers!

Renovation Of A Century-Old Chalet In The Swiss Alps

This beautiful Chalet Noisettes in Gryon, in the Swiss Alps, used to be a century-old log cabin that strongly needed a renovation. Swiss architectural studio Lacroix Chessex extended its shape and added everything that the owners needed. Otside natural larch was artificially aged to construct an interesting blend with the old building. The interior is minimalist, in natural colors and with the use of natural materials. Crimson red corridor adds a dramatic effect, and the bathroom is just amazing! Nothing unnecessary – just a big bath with a window by its side. The inside of the house is in natural balance with the surrounding nature.

Pendant Home Garden And Original Chandelier In One

Home gardens are always fashionable and everybody wants them, despite of having a real one outside. Here’s one more original idea of home gardens by Omer Arbel for Bocci – plant chandeliers. This is a new concept – glass spheres where you can put your plants that are not so big. Inside these big spheres you’ll find white planters and light bulbs. You’ll just hang these constructions to the ceiling and voila – you have a very original chandelier and pendant home garden. I don’t know if it’s very convenient in using, especially when you water the plants but the idea is cool.

Traditions And Modernity Combined Together In A Cool Korean House

This traditional house is located in Southern Korea and belongs to Hongnam Kim, art historian, a professor at Ewha Womans University. She wanted to create a house in the form of a hanok, the traditional wooden structure dating back to the Joseon dynasty in 1392. But inside she wanted to see a mixture of traditional and modern inside. And here’s the result. The house is divided into two parts: an anchae (owner’s residence) and a sarangchae (a guesthouse). Modern bathroom, kitchen appliances and furniture look amazing on the background of traditional walls and wooden doors. It’s an amazing mix of modernity and history in one!
