Okay, so my suggestion to everyone who buys it is this... we all get together and put our one inch pieces on an adjoining area and use legos to design enough space whereas we could possibly use it as a time share vacation spot. Haha ! Now, if you are really ambitious, you could actually have a piece of the entire universe according to this seller. Now, why couldn't I think of that. Overhead equals zero. There are no capital investments. Very creative minds at work here. Oh, I thought the same thing about painted rocks but I've come up with a cute idea of my own and it's cheaper and quicker. I just add plastic eye balls to any rocks and I had, at one time, over 100 of them stacked against the outside wall of my cordwood home in the mountains. No, I don't care if you steal the idea. They seem to take on a personality of their own once the various size eyes are added. They actually have expressions. :)
Anyway, there's a lot of other people out there with some awesome, yet, much ignored inventions and ideas for stuff. Thought you might not have seen Wacky Inventions yet. Hey, you never know... one idea can lead to others. Like Newton said " Energy is never destroyed, only transferred from one mind to the next ". Something like that anyhow. Just one more thing. Nobody should ever neglect to sign up for Ehow's newsletter. I find all kinds of great ideas in there. If you're interested in finding an idea for something to sell, try something to do with t-shirts, for example. Something everyone on the planet uses at some time or other. This article describes how to design your own shirts using spray paint.
Need to get your creative juices flowing and can't come up with anything constructive, just tap into the internet.
If you click on the link to this blog entry you will see a few of the crafts I've done. It's just a handful and I'm not selling online. I just needed a place to store some of my pics and tell others how to do them. It's free.
Ciao!
Subscribe in a reader

Blogs I Actually Read Part 3

Take a look on my side bar and scroll down to where my list of " My Kind of People " is and you'll find Ridge Walker on there. At the top of the side bar you'll notice a scrolling widget from Rate It All which is where I met him. His blog is worth the read. He's intelegent and witty and filled with good advice.
I think I met Mari-Lyn from http://www.heartatworkonline.org/wp-marketing/ through Technorati. At any rate, if you are at all into making and/or selling crafts you'll find her blog as well as her main site both interesting and informative.
You bet I read Jack's posts at the Cafferty File. Always a good idea to keep up with the demogogues and I happen to love the guy's sense of sarcasm which at times can be mistaken for something more intense. ;)
Speaking of demogogues, Defense Tech could not make things much clearer and you won't have to read much if any political material in between. Very up to date reads.
Makezine is more than just any old techy blog. It's the latest and greatest and some of the most difficult to understand material you may or may not want to read of. I happen to love it... even the parts I don't comprehend.
Don't be without the Search Engine Journal if you have any interest at all about online life. Here's a link to the post that first caught my attention... 125 Social Bookmarking Sites.
You'll find a slew of interesting articles at Neatarama. The topics are varied and well written. Something there for everyone.
Subscribe in a reader

I Love My Emails Part 8 - Right to Bear Arms

Before reading this post please note that I am not against our government having some sort of control over who CAN purchase firearms. I do believe citizens should be screened before given this privilege. I also believe that any law abiding citizen should be allowed to bear arms and protect themselves and those they love along with any property rightfully theirs. I am a proud member of the NRA. That said, here's the email...

A LITTLE GUN HISTORYI Thought you might appreciate this . . In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953,about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up andexterminated.------------------------------In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 millionArmenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.------------------------------Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves w ererounded up and exterminated.------------------------------China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 millionpolitical dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up andexterminated------------------------------Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.------------------------------Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.------------------------------Cambodia establ ished gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one millioneducated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up andexterminated.-----------------------------Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century becauseof gun control: 56 million.------------------------------It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by newlaw to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their owngovernment, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 milliondollars. The first year results are now in:List of 7 items: Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percentAustralia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent Australia-wide, armedrobberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)! In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, thecriminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns! While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armedrobbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break- ins and assaults of theELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safetyhas decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended insuccessfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experienceand the other historical facts above prove it.You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politiciansdisseminating this info rmation.Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes,gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them ofthis history lesson. With guns, we are 'citizens'.Without them, we are 'subjects'.During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knewmost Americans were ARMED!If you value your freedom, Please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.

This email is roughly a year and 1/2 old. Finally, I would like to share one more point of my own. This would be a good email post to remember while making your voting choices... that is IF the politicians speak up on the matter at all.
Freedom can only be held with protection.
Subscribe in a reader

Oh Crap

Every now and then I like to mess araound with some differrent site builders and come up with an article that is too lengthy for a blog post. Bravehost is pretty cool, although some of their templates are a bit tricky. Remember to stick to a suitable font for any given template or you may wind up with some problems as can be seen in the Phone Zone. The first one I did in Bravenet didn't turn out all that bad as far as viewable goes and that's the one I wanted to discuss here.

I consider myself to be a fairly observant person and cannot help commenting on the kinds of things people are hung up on. The main one I noticed ever since I was a child is the bathroom or potty area of the home. Seems we have to assess every conceivable element of this particular room, from the decor to the brand of tissue. So, go amuse yourself with a read about America's obsession with the throne. :)

Subscribe in a reader

I Love my Emails Part 7

I love Jennie. She's very inteligent and compassionate and knows just exactly the sort of info that needs to be passed around. You can find some of her craft work by visiting the link above. Since she was so adamant about keeping this particular email in circulation, I thought it appropriate to blog it. Here it is FYI...

I will continue to forward this every time it comes around! STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters.... S.T.R.

My nurse friend sent this and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks. Seriously.. Please read: STROKE IDENTIFICATION: During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) .....she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die.... they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this... A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke... totally . He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough. RECOGNIZING A STROKE Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps, STR . Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke . Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions: S * Ask the individual to SMILE. T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. It is sunny out today) R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 999/911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other , that is also an indication of a stroke. A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved

If you want to have a look at one of my other blogs on the subject of health and safety, please go to Notebook2Go.

Subscribe in a reader

1984?

George definitely has a tendency to over explain and over describe in this material. In fact the situations and atmosphere he is writing of seem married to the very style and pattern as seen on pages 45 and 46 where Syme is talking about the " 11th Edition ". If that dictionary had actually existed, so stripped of so called unnecessary words, " 1984 " would have been about 1 tenth the volume it is. My love of words made that the saddest part of the entire book. It seemed contrary that he should add a situation about the loss of words when he was so overbearing with vocabulary. He could have lost at least half the definitions, explanations and descriptions and it would have still kept the story line impressive.
If something written in 1949 could carry attention well into the 70s and beyond, it has something. In this case many considered it to be prophetic and to date, some of the quotes remain as we find more surveilance and other forms of " spying " around these days.
Although a few mistakes can be found, he did a fairly good job of keeping the fictional facts? organized and in sync.
What I give him the most as an admirable attribute is this... it is difficult to create an entire reality within the confines of the imagination and turn it into something conceivable to the readers. This book had a tremendous impact on so many people. It nearly scared some people out of their skin and fueled most of the cults of the 20th century in one way or another.
Since Orwell was, for the most part, a pollitical writer, my oppinion is he probably did not consider this work to be completely fiction.
Of course I read it before. I read it back in the 70s along with millions of other teens but didn't place as much emphasis on it as what we had to look forward to as many of my friends and acquaintances. What can I say? It only became popular after the Hippie Days. Peace, love and happiness was suppose to be tailed with a wind of government deception and communist control.
Sad... the point he tried to convey as dispicable is readily accepted today as the means to an end of bitterness, hatred, predjudice and war. One worldism will solve all the problems, eh? WWO as it's called is the answer to world peace. Far as I can remember, God says when everyone cries " peace, peace! ", there will be no peace. WWO is just another word for communism.
He was a very contrary man and from what I've read about his life, he hated traits in others which he actually held dear in his own soul.
Subscribe in a reader

Every day should be April Fool's Day :)

Missing Glass Door Prank - Watch more free videos
Subscribe in a reader

I Love Widgets

Widget Box let's you use or design your own widgets and share them on the web in blogs, sites, My Space and a whole lot more. A once in many lifetimes experience! I saw this lil' feller run out in front of a car-- thought it was a lost baby goat. Stopped to get it, and WOW!! A real Albino Whitetail Deer. Just hours old, but doing fine. No Momma deer around. Another car nearly hit it in front of me .

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_rZj0IpCOYSY/R9r48joYifI/AAAAAAAAACY/nU-iM5BJrxA/s200/image002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177724440856267250" />

Well, he is THE neatest thing any of us ever saw. And such a 'freak of nature', that only 1 in more than a million are even born. He took his bottle of food, followed us around the house, doing great. So, we called the Zoo & Fossil Rim, who were both interested, but we're going to send him to a Rehab farm. Maybe he will make it in captivity somewhere and be appreciated. So rare... Sure wanted to keep him tho. but, not the thing to do. And not LEGAL either. Here are a couple of pictures to show you. He was snow white, pink eyes, ears, nose and hooves. Kids called him POWDER. He was SO small. That is my shoe lying beside him... WOW..how cool is that??

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_rZj0IpCOYSY/R9r4tDoYieI/AAAAAAAAACQ/F35TDI6W3-g/s200/image001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5177724174568294882" />

Pass this around, a lot of folks have never and will probably never see even another picture of an Albino deer fawn......
Subscribe in a reader

God's Morphine?

Years back, I remember being in a car accident so bad that I was bruised from head to toe with multiple contusions and a concussion to beat all. I was so sad looking the doctor who prescribed the morphine at the release of my trauma center stay offered me a second script upon my return complaining of too much pain. He couldn't even look at me after the initial meet in the office. While he shook his head and turned away, all I could think about was the horrified look of pity on his face. One should never witness this look on the face of a medical professional, especially in a trauma center. Being in recovery for alcohol addiction, I knew the need to extremely careful with any medication that may cause a relapse. All the same, the pain really was very bad. But, the more I thought about it over the years, the more I realize that, all morphine is, is man's feeble attempt at redesigning God's natural physical chemical released by the pituitary gland. It is called endorphins and is the body's way of blocking or masking pain. Now, the reason this revelation is so important to me is that, along with man made chemicals such as morphine, codeine and other pain relieving pharmaceuticals, there is not only the threat of addiction but also the possibility of other side effects, some of which may be of serious consequence. I remember coming to for maybe 1/2 a minute at the most while still in the chopper and about the same amount again when we landed on the roof of the hospital. I remember no pain. I was told that I went in and out of consciousness quite a few times until I finally came to on a hospital bed with my head strapped down and a bunch of doctors and nurses running around me and thinking that I just couldn't think! I didn't know what happened to me. I couldn't figure out why I was there or even where " there " was but I remember no pain at all until almost 2 hours after I came out of shock. Incredible, is it not? They document everything in these places, bless their souls. I didn't think much about it until long after the ordeal was over and I was back to health and then it hit me... It was God's morphine! Physicians call it analgesia. People with nerve diseases to a particular part of the spine often experience this as well. The lack of any sensation of pain. He never ceases to amaze me with the wonderful mechanisms He used in the creation process. While I was in shock, should I also have to suffer inscruciating pain? Obviously, He thought not. Now, if we could just market the natural chemical rather than the man made one, we'd be far better off. I'm no expert but my opinion still counts for something. What doctors need to do is find out what makes the chemical start to work and teach people with chronic pain how to trigger it themselves. Of course, where would us consumers spend all that extra money if it's not in the hands of the medical community? I found an interesting article you may want to read here.
http://www.flowersociety.org/Impatiens-cases.htm
You may also want to research the use of acupressure. Blessings! :)
Subscribe in a reader

The Fruitcake Lady, as promised

Subscribe in a reader

The Blogs I Actually Read Part 1

These are just some of the blogs I feel deserve a mention and their creators deserve a pat on the back.

From the Crafting Community :

Mark Golden on Paint... It is not about how adequate you are at administering pain. It is not about being the tough guy/girl. It is about respect, dignity, courage, fairness and honesty. All of the original Martial Arts were founded on the same principles. That is to improve the well being of the mind, body and spirit in synchronization. For the excessively overweight or anyone, whether it be man, woman or child who has health issues, it is generally wise to consult a physician before joining activities such as these. For many people, it is better to get in better physical shape first with other less cardio activities like Yoga before attempting the Martial Arts of any kind. The arts build not only muscle tone but self confidence and unlike most other exercises they are used as a self defense practice as well. Kung Fu teaches balance of your entire self. It is best used in a contemplative way? learning how to apply the principles to all areas of your life. Contrary to popular belief, Kung Fu does NOT interfere with your religion of choice, nor do the instructors, ( at least in the US ), make any attempt to coerce you in any spiritual direction whatsoever. If you encounter one who uses tactics like this, it is better to continue your program elsewhere. Kung Fu is one of the most sought after teachings of all the Martial Arts and with good reason. Apply it properly and you will enjoy a lifetime of benefits from what you have learned. :)

There are a good many e books on the market which relate to this subject but most of them are nor free for the taking. Here's a link to a book called " Grappling ". If you find this information usefull there is link where you can sign up to receive a sequence to it. Got this one last year but, well, better late than never...
A man had 50 yard line tickets forthe Super Bowl. As he sat down, he>>noticed that the seat next to himwas empty. He asked the man on the> >other side of the empty seat whetheranyone was sitting there. "No," the>>man replied, "The seat is empty.""This is incredible," said the first man. "Who>>in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Super Bowl, the>>biggest sporting event in the world, and not use it?" The second man>>replied, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come>>with my wife, but she passed away. This will be the first Super Bowl we>>haven't been to together since wegot married in 1967." "Oh, I'm sorry to>>hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else -- a friend or>>relative, or even a neighbor totake the seat?" The man shook his head.>>"No, they're all at her funeral."

Here's a quote from http://www.quotationspage.com.

Being in politics is like being a football coach. I have a few comments of my own to make here. Yep, I won't be buying from Old Navy this year! Thank you to whomever posted that article. I took great pleasure in adding my vote as I do not believe in anyone telling me what I should call something unless it truly IS disgracefull to someone. I have never been known for politically correct and I'm damned proud of it. Christmas IS about the Christ Child although He was not born but rather conceived at this time of year. Yes, I can document that but it's not important to me. Nor will I listen to the so called Christians who tell me I cannot have a Christmas tree in my home casue it's an abomination to The Lord. He calls Himself a Great Fir Tree. I don't worship the tree for goodness sake. How far will some people take things? Obviously there's others who feel the same way I do as THIS article will show you!
Now, I will leave you with my favorite Christmas song... very old but well done and treasured by many, Bing singing White Christmas! Merry Christmas to all and peace on earth. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights. Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both Presidents were shot in the head.
Now it gets really weird.
Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln .
Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln , was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln , was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.
Both assassins were known by their three names. Both names are composed of fifteen letters.
Now hang on to your seat.
Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.' Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford.'
Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse. Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
And here's the kicker...
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland. A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.
Subscribe in a reader

I Love my Emails : Part 2

This one had me laughing so hard I all but spit out my coffee...
Sundance just posted a great tip on how to give a dog a pill. Reminded me of an email I got with instructions on how to give a cat a pill. A little long, but stay with it!How to give cat a pill
1. Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouthand gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.3. Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm, holding rear pawstightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouthwith right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse off lawnmower.6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink a beer totake taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.10. Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Open anotherbeer. Place cat in cupboard, and close door on to neck, to leave head showing.Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band.11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Drink beer. Fetch bottle of scotch. Pour shot of scotch, drink. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect. Toss back another shot. Throw Tee shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.12. Call fire department to retrieve the darn cat from across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.13. Tie the little devil's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy-duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Be rough about it. Hold head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down. 14. Consume remainder of scotch. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.15. Arrange for SPCA to collect mutant cat from hell and call local petshop to see if they have any hamsters.
How to Give A Dog A Pill
1. Wrap it in bacon.
2. Toss it in the air.
Subscribe in a reader

Planet in Peril? Hell Yeah!

While watching the news special on CNN, I also kept up to date on the " in between " news about the California firestorm. At the beginning of this program, said acreage destroyed was at 300,000. Near the end it was over 400,00 and quoted as being the equivelent to twice the size of New York. The recent news briefs were a compliment, for lack of a better word, to the program itself. My commendations to Anderson Cooper who not only assisted in the coverage of both stories but also walked through jungles, swam with elephants and had a blood test taken which revealed more than 100 out of two hundred something toxins tested for in his system. These toxins being potentially dangerous to his health, some were possibly remains of past trips he's taken in order to bring top news stories to us, the general public. Others, unfortunately, could be traced to the 70s when he ate contaminated fish from the Hudson River. As I don't have much respect for news programs which constantly cover the same old stupid stuff over and over again, I have to give credit where credit is due. Oh, the stupid stuff I refer to can be found on ET and I do watch it ocassionaly so am not saying it is a bad thing, just that it doesn't belong as a top story on main news channels where we are interested in finding out what's happening in our world that relates to our general well being. This CNN Special did just that.If the subtitle " Fire, drought and famine " doesn't sound to you like plagues I don't know what would. At the beginning of the program... " action and reaction are equal and opposite and create a ripple effect " or something like that.
Throughout the program I was horrified at the sight of our wildlife being destroyed, our trees cut down, our animals sold for such things as meat, medicine, skins, trophies, soup, jewelry and ashtrays. Many of them never reach their destination alive and are kept in unreasonable conditions up to the point of death. Statistics claim they are disappearing at 1000 times the average rate. Most are stolen from South America and Africa by poachers located throughout South East Asia and distributed through hidden markets in Madascar. It grieves me to the bone when I hear of Americans who are willing to support corruption like this, purchasing an illegally bought tortouise at a cost of 500 dollars or a Russian police officer selling illegal tiger skins. It appals me when I find out that only 10 % of specifically important natural habitats remain and soil collapses at an undescribable volume when 350 square miles of natural forests are lost each year.
Although China has always been known for their extraordinary appetite when it come to exotic wild life, little did I know what they do with it till now. Argghhh! A restaurant in Beijing, China, by the name of " Strength in a Pot " was discovered to be selling so called delicacies such as lamb testacles, tiger penis and tiger paws, the latter which cost the elite of China and it's tourists a whopping 1500 dollars per entree. Of course when asked to see the kitchen and questioned about the legality of the menu items they came up with an excuse and the crew members were not allowed access to the kitchen. Later, other restaurants were filmed at the rear entrances where poachers or middle men were about to unload these goods until they saw the cameras and made a bee line out of there. Most of the tourists who spend money to support this illegal activity are Americans. You bet that angers me. It also groses me out. Why would anyone want to spend a few thousand dollars in another country for a meal that consists of nothing but garbage? The film showed store fronts where thousands of turtles were displayed in crowded aquariums for meat purchase and among other eoddities... jars upon jars of deer tails. Only the elite of this country have access to the profits from this illegal and imoral trade, most of which the labor is done by the poor of the country for roughly a dollar a day and who, incidentally don't even have access to clean drinking water. One of the politicians there was asked if he would drink the water and of course his reply was negative.
Colon cancer is wide spread as is many other food and water contamination related diseases. One woman tells her story of a village she must live in after the death of her husband where she raises her daughter alone. Before his death his doctor told them not to drink the water or eat from the rice patties. With little access to health care and an overwhelming amount of responsibility to uphold, where was she left to go? At thirty years old, this man's life ended and he left this world with only one concern. Who would take care of his family? They call this place " The Cancer Village ". All these weird foods and their uncanny need for the inard parts of animals for use in their unproven medicines among other vanities and traditions is driving wildlife to extinction.
Contrary to popular belief, China is the number 1 consumer of meat and steel and also the largest co2 admitter. And we wonder why we have tainted meats and lead contaminated children's toys in our own markets. The water mentioned above is the same water they are using to irrigate the fields where those imported foods are grown for our consumtion.According to various reports online, Thailand is the poorest country in the world and most will do anything for a living. This is where the buck starts. Fact is they live on an average of a dollar a day. This is the reason for most of the corruption and it is throwing our entire ecosystem off. Cambodia being another of the poacher's havens of the world, a part of the program was dedicated to what is thought to be possibly the last tiger in Bokor. Sadly, he was not found. Estimated number of these tigers left in the world? 5000, if that. While searching for this wild cat, they came across poacher's snares, garbage, and, of all things... empty ciggarette packs. Now if that doesn't beat all. They can't find a proper way to make a living but they can afford to smoke. Solutes to the rangers who patrol those areas for a measley 30 bucks a month. Other points focused on were the meager 2-3 hundred wild elephants remaining in Cambodia and South East Asia.
I had the unexpected pleasure of seeing some of God's most beautiful creatures on this program, including the Day Gecko and the Lemur. I am hopefull the unknown species of lizzard they acquired is considered a new one once it's had examination. Supposedly it makes protecting the area it was found in a more likely happening. Although it would not have been an experience I normally could have to be able to see some of these creatures I am aware of the fact they are not living quite the way God intended in the first place. Is it any wonder that even nature itself screams out for justice? China seems mindless to the issues and in fact officials have said that it's not a priority because there are too many other things they consider more important. With 1.2 billion people, I should think they have a greater responsibility than any other country to make it a priority. That is, if they care about their own people and the health of their nation.
Subscribe in a reader

Never too stuck on " politically correct "

I don't even know what to tell you except that I'm getting addicted to RSS now as I do with everything about the internet at first tries. Yeah, my last post was an article I loaded into Blogger from Newsgator which I've been using for a long time now to keep me updated on different subjects. Well, Idecided to finally hit the " blog this " button and after I posted that article, ( it was rather short but humorous ), I decided to make an attempt at creating my own widget for an RSS feed I watch. Well, this is what I came up with for my first attempt at it. As stated in the previous article... I hope it works. If it does then you can expect to watch it from the right side panel as well because I like the idea of picking and choosing what reads I'm interested in and, ( lots of smiles ), I love widgets. But I digress. The thing is that the side bars on your blogs are not suppose to look like mine... that is, messy. Well, I don't care neither! I've never been politically correct in my life. Why should I start now? As a matter of fact I think I'll soon add some more widgets and gadgets over there for other people like me who find them amusing. Grins!!! It's a wonderful life.
Subscribe in a reader

It's Raining Babies

During the summer months I had a little nephew born to Eliz and Fati and another, Kenwin, born to my neice Kendra. I couldn't wait to share it so I simply hit the " blog this " icon and voila, here I am.
[audio] Sperm Bank In Thailand Hands Out Free Samples
Obviously this guy they're talking about has a problem with conceit not to mention a few other things but setting the perosnality issues aside, just think about the possible outcomes of such an event. ?
