2026 BLUE AND WHITE, BUNNIES, AND BOWS EASTER TABLE

Hello friends, Happy Holy Week! We are hosting our family for Easter lunch this year and I'm looking forward to having a house full! I'm trying to do what prep work I can ahead of time, so having one of the tables already set helps free up more time this weekend. This year I started with a blue and white tablecloth and loaded the table with bunnies, bows, and all of the Spring-y things for our Easter Table.

I had an idea of the pieces I wanted to gather for the centerpiece and also added in several vintage and special family pieces to use at the place settings.

I wanted to use my new faux grass bunnies as part of the centerpiece and collected a variety of Easter-y things to mix in with them.

I've had this pewter tiered stand for over 20 years, I left off the bottom layer because it was too big and loaded it up with colorful eggs.

I wanted a pot or two of real tulips for the table, but it's been so warm so early here that everything I saw at the store either looked terrible or was the wrong color. So, I grabbed my trusty faux tulips and stuck them in a pot of dirt!

For each place setting I started with these round rattan placemats that I'm finding myself drawn to use almost every time I set a table now. Then, I used the cabbage plates that I shared with you recently, a salad plate from my wedding china, and the rose bread and butter plate is from a set that was gifted to Ray's grandparents by their children on their 50th wedding anniversary.

I tied my napkins in bows on last year's Easter table too, but they're just so cute I had to do it again! (I demonstrate how I tied them here.)

These mini moss bunnies that I bought this year are just so darling! I scattered them around the table, they tie in perfectly with the faux grass bunnies. I propped a few up on mercury glass votive candle holders (egg cups?). I also always love using these lamb silver salt cellars on my Easter table even if just for decoration! I bought mine at an estate sale but found some here to share.

Last Fall when we were vacationing I popped into a Williams Sonoma outlet and bought this block print tablecloth. This one is very similar and on sale in a variety of sizes. Love it so much mixed with green!

My mother-in-law has a set of this Eternally Yours silverplate flatware that I've always admired. Years ago I saw a set pop up on FBMP for a steal so I grabbed it. I haven't used it in a while and it was very tarnished, I cleaned it up with a soft cloth in under 15 minutes with this magical cream. I also reminded myself to use it more often in the future!

Lastly, I pulled out some milk glass tumblers and smaller stem glasses collected and thrifted over the years for our drinks.

I'm happy with how my table came together this year and looking forward to each seat being filled for lunch on Sunday as we celebrate the Resurrection!

2026 EASTER PORCH AND PATIO

A few days ago I got my porch and patio decorated for Easter. I kept it so simple and almost didn't post about it, but I had a few people ask if I had done one so thought I'd share anyway! Nothing new, just pulled a few things from my Easter tub and used what I had.

I got this bunny at Hobby Lobby a few years ago, they might still carry them?? However, he's meant to set on the ground and had a stand on the back. I removed that and glued a hanger to the back, then added some sticky felt pads to the back so he wouldn't rub the door. I love the simplicity yet he makes a big statement!

Lanterns filled with random eggs, couldn't be easier! Tip: I only had a few extra eggs, so hiding under there is a upside down plastic bowl to take up some of the room in the lantern, then I just covered it with the eggs I had so it would appear more full. One of my favorite tricks!

We've had such a mild winter with few below freezing periods that I made the effort to save my ferns and several pots of geraniums. They're still waking up from overwintering them in the house and garage but it's nice to have them out this early! I had some moss cross picks from HL that I added to the geranium pots.

Rugs & Jars- no longer available

On the back patio, I just made one little addition that makes me smile!

Rechargeable Lamps on sale!

I did add one new thing to my outside decorations- these $3 bunny ears are just the cutest. I shared them a few weeks ago in an Easter collage and I'm not sure if they're still available to order, but maybe they're available at your local store for pickup.

So that's it! Sweet and simple. Over the weekend I'll be working on my Easter table to share with you on Tuesday, along with some of my table setting loving friends. I have a few ideas but we'll see what I end up with- but you'll definitely see these on the table!

Just in time for Easter, one of my favorite tablecloths is on sale. Wide variety of sizes and several colors included-

I love these cane/rattan storage and display boxes. They are so pretty for styling but also functional- I keep all of my special cards in mine. The top is glass so they would also be great to display a favorite pretty collection on a coffee or side table. This set makes a lovely wedding gift!

These sunglasses are the only ones I've been reaching for lately-

I have a few colors of these ankle length athletic pants with pockets, SO comfy and perfect for now through the warmer months! I size up in these.

This Chom Chom pet fur removal roller is the best, I use ours almost daily. SUPER low sale price!

I'm almost down to the last set of these collagen eye patches, and reordered again this morning! They work really well and stay put without slipping around. (I do still like to have some of these individually wrapped ones on hand as well for travel- they're easier to pack.)

Ray and Emily both have this car vent phone holder in their cars and love it!

This packable straw sun hat is one of my staples, I wear it SO often every spring and summer. Yay for no hair fixing! I tied one of these thin scarves around it for some variety.

I'm a big fan of this overnight peel off collagen face mask, I'm almost through my second bottle of it. I apply a thick layer and let it dry before getting in bed. It's flexible and super easy to peel off in the morning, and leaves your skin incredibly soft and moisturized. It has skyrocketed in popularity thus the price has inflated, good to see it on sale!

I've loved adding in these ruffled gingham pillow covers and the sale price is good! I bought a 26x26" for Euro pillows here but they're available in several sizes and colors.

Ray loves these mesh dress style sneakers, he has them in several colors and wears them often.

I bought a set of these ruffle edges socks and gave them to Emily, she commented how much she likes them the other day. Sale price is under $6 for 6 pairs!

These red and pink floral pants are so fun to wear, lots of solids and patterns. (I'm in a M)

This 3 pack of scissors is probably one of my all time favorite Amazon purchases. The price is amazing and they are so sharp- I have a set in different rooms all over the house!

It's time to break out the bubble machine! It's so fun for family gatherings and parties, or just a random pretty weeknight on the patio! (Tip: I snip a few of the bubble wands off of the wheel, it's just SO MANY bubbles if you don't!😆)

This portable hammock is one of my favorite suggestions for a graduation gift. We have several and enjoy setting one up in our back yard often, and always throw them in the car when we're headed anywhere outdoorsy!

This soft floral cardigan is so pretty and comes in a lot of colors if green isn't your fave. Fantastic sale price! (I'm in a L)

I enjoyed wearing this sleeveless knit maxi dress last summer, the black is under $17! There's a tiny bit of a cap sleeve which makes it more flattering IMO, and the side slit makes the long length a breeze to walk in. It's perfect for travel and layering through multiple seasons, I sized up so it wasn't clingy at all.

My faux tulips are the lowest price I've seen. These are "red" and "pink" if you want this exact mix.

We've really enjoyed these rechargeable, dimmable, weather resistant lamps on the patio.

Sharing this striped sweatshirt again that I have in a couple of colors, it's a good one!

I just shared these automatic soap dispensers in a recent FFF, but they're in the sale if you haven't tried them yet. Wish I had bought them sooner!

75 SPRING AND EASTER DRESSES

I think most of the country had another cold spell over the past few days, but even so we've had enough warm, sunny days with birds chirping that my thoughts have turned to Spring! And, with Easter being less than 3 weeks away(!) I'm definitely thinking about my wardrobe for a new season. Today I've rounded up 75 Spring and Easter dresses (or outfits) to share with you. With a variety of price points, retailers, colors, and styles from casual to more dressy- I hope this list is helpful if you're in the market for something new!

I'll begin by sharing a few dresses that my family and I already have and would recommend, and then share the rest of my list of new picks I found at the end of the post. To start things off, my friend sent me this green dress telling me of her plans to wear it for Easter and suggested I share with you, and it reminded me that I have that dress too in purple! It looks super cute with the belt that it comes with, but I'm wearing it here without. Pockets, stripes in multiple colors, cotton... yes please!

Striped Dress || Similar Slide Sandals

This seersucker blazer and matching pants set is right up my alley! It's totally giving J. Crew vibes- without the J. Crew pricetag- and the quality is super. The stripe is such a neutral begging to be mixed and matched with so many possible colors and patterns on a scarf, shoes, accessories, or when wearing the pieces separately. This would be darling for Easter, especially if it's cool, but these pieces will be so versatile all through Spring and Summer. These are coming in and out of stock often, keep checking if your size is out! (I'm in my regular size in the pants and sized up in the jacket-mainly because I need extra length in the arms.)

Emily wore this dress last year for Easter, I was so impressed with it! The top lace layer adds such a feminine detail and I think it's just darling, other colors available.

She also loved this dress last year. The exact dress is not currently available but this one and this one are very similar, and there are several color options.

My Mom ordered this eyelet dress last year, and quickly proceeded to get it in two other colors as well! 100% cotton with polyester lining, pockets, and so many pretty colors to choose from.

This eyelet dress is also a winner! She wore it for graduation and several other occasions. It also comes in a long version if you'd prefer the length, and it's currently on a great sale for under $40 in lots of colors.

I got this navy dress a couple of years ago and it's no longer available, but I came across this one as an alternative, it is so similar! Eyelet, loose, several colors, pockets, cotton, good reviews... looks pretty perfect to me! I plan to order it in white for Summer. (Hopefully my cute friends won't mind me sharing a photo with them included!)

I got this dress last year and wore it often! It's 100% cotton, has pockets, and also available in blue or pink. It come's with a belt that's not great, I preferred wearing it loose but add your own belt if you want more shape. You could dress it up but I love wearing it casually with sandals or sneakers.

Gingham Button Up Dress || Cognac Slide Sandals

I have a Tuckernuck dress that I bought last year that I plan to wear for a few occasions this Spring and Summer. It's sold out, but when I saw this one it really reminded me of it! It's a flowy linen blend type fabric and all of the stitching detail makes it special. Wear it loose or belted, it would dress up beautifully with accessories or give a casual look with sneakers and a sun hat. Love this one!

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Friday! It's a beautiful day in OKC, hope it is where you are as well! We're kicking off Spring Break this weekend and we're looking forward to Emily being home for the week. It's bittersweet- her last one home before she graduates with her MBA in May and starts a full time job. Then we'll officially be empty-nesters! I've got some good things to share with you today, let's get to it!

If you've been around for long you know my love for Bordallo Pinheiro dishes. I've loved collecting them over the years but they've soared in popularity over recent years and can be quite expensive and harder to find now. So, when I recently stumbled across these cabbage dinner plates I had to try them out! And let me tell you, I could not be more impressed. They're affordable for a set of 4, dishwasher and microwave (light reheating) safe, and spot on for the originals. I have several Bordallo serving pieces, bowls, round chargers, and smaller plates collected but didn't have these dinner plates- definitely love and keeping them! (And it's a fair guess that you'll likely see them on my Easter table in a couple of weeks!)

Just for reference, I pulled out one of my real Bordallo salad plates to compare and it couldn't be a more perfect match in color and pattern. Also available are sets of 7" cereal/soup bowls, salad/dessert plates, a 13" charger style platter, and 8.5" soup/cereal bowls. Highly recommend!

Before Christmas we went to a party and the hostess had this automatic soap dispenser at her sink- I immediately asked for the link and ordered 4 for all of our bathroom sinks! Why have I not done this sooner??? I love the foaming soap but it also comes in a gel option. They are rechargeable and have indicator lights for the battery and a choice of soap amounts it will dispense. I got these at the first of December and still have not had to recharge them or refill them yet- and we use them multiple times per day! I filled them with this soap and actually watered it down a bit because it's so strong- still plenty effective!

I came across this scalloped marble board and after seeing the price just had to order it and check it out for you, and I can confirm it's fantastic! It's solid marble so it's heavy, has felt pads on the bottom, and is a nice 12" size. Use it as a serving board, tray, under a vase like my tulips above, or it would be such a nice gift that won't break the bank,

I was poking around Nordstrom Rack recently and they have a huge variety Sam Edelman sandals currently in stock. It's one of my favorite shoe brands and I have a couple of pairs of similar styles as these from previous seasons, but how cute are they? If you haven't heard, stripes are all the rage! (But when are they not, right??) Loving this pink striped button up, I also got the green and blue stripe that's a great color combo too. They're a bit oversized so size down if you want a more traditional fit, I'm in my usual M. Several color options, I have the denim one too and it's soft and comfortable. A button up + jeans is probably my all time fave easy, casual outfit.

Emily is wearing the same shirt here in a different color. I also her got the same denim one I mentioned having and she enjoyed wearing both on a recent trip. This green isn't currently available, however the exact pattern but in a muted red is under $14! She's in a M too. You might remember me mentioning a few weeks ago that she was off on a 2 week overseas trip, and she returned home last weekend. Major world events unfolded while she was gone and we were super grateful when she was back on US soil (lots of extra prayers going on while she was gone!). She said 2 weeks was a really long time to be gone but she had a great time, had so many wonderful experiences, and learned a lot about navigating travel! She visited Spain (with 5 other school friends) and Belgium (she and 1 friend stayed longer to visit another school friend living there now). She borrowed my sling crossbody bag and mentioned how great it was for the trip- small enough to not be cumbersome for exploring all day but plenty roomy for essentials. I told her to add one to her birthday wish list! 😉

I'll throw this in there too since it's from the same store and on sale- loving this comfy sweatshirt and sweatpants, and yes please to the fun green color! It's soft and not too thick and comes in a lot of sizes and colors. True to size but I sized up in the shirt, so I'm wearing a L top and M bottoms. I also bought the matching green shorts, love a sweatshirt/shorts combo for lounging. Sorry I can't link the vest- it's Vineyard Vines via TJ Maxx a year or two ago. (But I do spy some on Ebay if you're interested!)

2026 EASTER DECORATIONS MINI HOME TOUR

Hello friends! Well, we've moved on from Valentine's Day to Spring and Easter decorations. Today I'm giving you a little mini home tour of a few spots I've decorated inside the house. Easter is early this year, I can't believe it's just a little over 3 weeks away!

We'll start off in the Entry. As usual, my Entry table and Mantel are my favorite spots to decorate seasonally even if I don't decorate anything else. I started with a pot of faux hydrangeas that have been on my kitchen table for a while, then just added some of my favorite bunnies, chicks, eggs and geese (or are they ducks?) all around.

We have visited Poland twice, and these hand painted eggs are always one of my favorite souvenirs (along with Polish Pottery of course!) to bring back. They're inexpensive and don't take up much room to pack. These are most of what I've collected, I tried to get a variety of colors and patterns but you can tell the greens, blues, and pinks are my favorites. I also love the ones painted with the boy and girl- they are the most fun to dig through and pick out your favorites from the various sellers in the market square.

In the Dining Room, I simply added a Spring centerpiece. These faux grass bunnies are SO cute! I replaced the bow with some ribbon that I bought when I went to John Mark's shop last Fall. The small blue and white pedestal dish is a souvenir I brought home from a little antique shop on the east shore of Hawaii a few years ago. I set one of my favorite metal chicks inside along with some patterned eggs. The column pedestal base is from a local shop but I found in to link for you below, I added some gold gilding to mine.

Moving on to the Living Room, the mantel is ready for Spring! I used a pair of faux grass topiary bunnies to flank the mirror. They came in a cute pot but I dropped them down into blue and white pots instead- you know I can't leave well enough alone! I placed the pink bunnies and felt it still needed a little something, so I added two yellow cabbage plates on plate stands behind them for more color.

I also added a small cabbage plate on a stand inside the lantern. Again, it needed a little something more so I picked out a couple of my favorite Polish painted eggs- aren't those little chicks adorable?- and used some sticky putty on the bottom to stand them up in front of the plate.

Years ago my mother-in-law made a bunch of these vintage handkerchief bunnies, I love to pull them out every Easter! I situated them on a pedestal plate that my friend gave me from an auction when we were visiting them in London over 10 years ago (that was a fun trip!) and covered with a random cloche I had on hand.

I added one little bunny to the kitchen counter. I've had it forever and it was super faded and had seen better days so I dabbed some new green paint on it to match the other faux grass bunnies, then dropped it in a small pot. The brass S&P mills were my Christmas gift. I've wanted some for so long and we love them.

So that's about it for Spring and Easter indoors this year. I plan to work on my Spring Porch over the weekend. Thankfully our weather has been nice enough that I can bring out some ferns that I kept over the winter (still keeping an eye on night temps, though!). I'll probably keep it pretty simple but will share next week!

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Friday! And wonder of wonders- this week's Five Friday Favorites is actually getting to you on a Friday! 😆 (Lately I've been tardy sharing farther into the weekend, but back on track today!) I'm planning to clean up the Valentine's Day porch and honeycomb garland mantel today (it's about time, right?)- the giant porch bow had a good 3 month run! I think I've got a good variety of things to share with you today, hope you enjoy and that you have a wonderful weekend!

These loafers are back in stock with a few new colors too and I can't say enough good things about them! The quality is fantastic, you won't believe how good that designer inspired buckle looks in person. They look amazing but the main reason I love them so much is they about the only pair of dressier shoes I can wear all day long and they're still comfortable. There's a good amount of memory foam in the sole with a slight arch support. Whether I'm running around or wearing them for an occasion they look fantastic and my feet don't hurt!

Faux Suede Designer Inspired Loafers

I added the new blush pink to my collection this season, it's surprisingly neutral and I've already worn them multiple times. And the woven raffia style might just be on it's way to me as we speak! It will be such a stylish option from now through the Fall. I have the pink ones on here as we sent our girl off last week on a little European adventure! She and 5 other girlfriends totally planned this trip based on what country they could get the cheapest flight to 👍 and they're having a great time immersed in the culture of the countries they're visiting (and learning how to navigate a foreign country on their own!). She will wrap up her MBA studies in just a few months but her class schedule is such that she's only missing one in-person class while she's gone. So excited for them to be on this trip that they will remember for a lifetime! Could barely fit in a pack of gum at the end but we got her packed for 14 days with chilly weather in a carryon and her backpack... whew!

The tan ones are restocked as well, such a great neutral to wear with anything. I also wanted to mention this pink lightweight sweater. It's the perfect piece for this time of year to wear alone or as a layer for chilly mornings, evenings, or offices. There is a large variety of colors, but the pink and a few other colors are reduced to $14 or less. I prefer sizing up in this for a roomier fit, I'm in an XL here. Also wearing my new favorite $17 WM jeans with a super comfy elastic back waistband. They come in a variety of washes and lengths but I cut a raw hem for a cropped ankle length on mine.

Next up, while we're talking Walmart, Easter will be here before we know it and they have some absolutely darling Easter decor this year! I've already got lots of flocked bunnies but I got my order in for two of these faux grass bunny topiaries and mini bunnies set to add in the mix this year, and the fun bunny ears to stick in a potted plant.

Switching retailers, our favorite hooked pillows are back in some Spring/Easter designs and I wanted to share them with you because they are selling fast. These are the same line as the Christmas wreath and Valentine's doves styles that I got previously and the quality is fantastic for a bargain price! And there's a cutie gingham hooked rug too!

Ok, since last Fall I've switched almost exclusively to these wireless bras. I tried 6-7 different ones and these three styles- scallop edge, straight edge, and keyhole detail- are my favorites. They all come in a variety of colors with adjustable straps and a 2" band extender if you need a little more room. The bottom banding provides substantial support and gives good lift, and the pads are tacked in so they don't come out in the wash. (I machine wash mine in a lingerie bag and hang to dry.) The ones on the right with the keyhole detail are just a bit longer and come down a little further on the torso, giving a bit of a cinched in feel. They are all perfect to wear under t-shirts, tanks, or fitted style tops for a smooth, no lines appearance. Although they're all equally great in my opinion, I probably wear the the scallop edge ones the most just because I like that detail. And to add to all of that good news, they are all $20 or less! If you need a supportive bra you won't dread wearing, give them a try!

The weather here this week has us thinking Spring, but I'm not fooled that we won't still have a cold snap or two! I've been trying to get a little jump on cleaning up the beds and weeding out stray grass that's already popping up. This giant ridiculous hat is my favorite to wear for gardening or other activities when I can. At an age where I'm trying to keep the sun off of my face when possible, it shades my entire head, neck, and most of my shoulders. There's also some extra room in the crown so you get a little bit of circulation between the top of your head and the top of the hat. I actually brought mine back from the Aloha swap meet in Hawaii years ago, but I found the exact one online to share with you. This is also my favorite weeding/grass removal tool that I've shared with you in the past, and a favorite striped sweatshirt that I've had for a few years in two colors (I'd size up in it).

Hello friends, happy weekend and Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are doing something fun today with the people you love. We are going to poke around some thrift and antique stores and have no big plans, we'll just see what the day brings- sounds perfect to me!! Coming to you again on a Saturday instead of Friday for my Five Favorites this week, but you don't mind... right?

We do have a birthday to celebrate today too... this guy turns 14!! We adopted him and his brother when they were 6 months old after they had been in a shelter up until that point. We lost Scout in 2021 and still miss him! Chief is still working hard at finding the best spot to lounge in the sun every day and settling in to watch tv with us at night (he'll only sit beside you on your left- he's not a lap cat!). 🤣 He got an extra splash of milk in his bowl this morning to celebrate.

Speaking of Valentine's Day (our first date was 34 years ago today!), I recently damaged my wedding ring and do not want to wear it until I get it repaired. So, I got this $20 CZ Eternity Band Ring stand in beauty and I can't say enough good things about it! It comes in several metal color options and is really comfortable to wear, and looks SO good in person! I've been wearing it all the time- often forget to remove it when I'm washing dishes and it is holding up perfectly. Beautiful ring for any finger!

And while we're talking jewelry, I also recently got this horseshoe clasp necklace and have been wearing it often. The quality is fantastic, it has a nice weight to it and looks great on it's own or layered with other necklaces. Highly recommend! When packing up Christmas, my Mom got a set of these clear zip closed storage bags, and then I realized I needed some too! I've got some of the blue Ikea ones which are great, but I love being able to see through these so I know at a glance what's in them. They came in handy for these bulky Christmas pillow and stockings! I've since used them for storing other pillows, blankets and comforters, and they're great for storing seasonal clothes as well.

HONEYCOMB BALL GARLAND FOR VALENTINE'S DAY MANTEL {TUTORIAL}

This honeycomb ball garland for Valentine's Day can't help but put a smile on your face! Although I used red, pink, and white on mine to match the holiday, there is an endless combination of colors you could use to decorate with for birthdays, graduations, wedding showers, anniversary parties, team colors, or a photo op background for any celebration you can think of. Today I'm sharing a tutorial and showing you how I made it!

I first made this garland 4 years ago and was figuring it out as I went along, so I didn't record my process. After I shared it I was asked quite a few questions about how I made it, so I decided to recreate it this year and document my process in case you want to make one too. I will say, even after trying to take special care to be able to share detailed steps with you, this truly is more of a "wing it and do whatever works" type of project. So, I'll share some tips and tricks from my process but you'll just have to WORK WITH IT until it turns out the way you want it. 😁

To start, here are the honeycomb balls I used (great project because it all stores in a big ziplock bag when not in use!). I had a mix of red, pinks, and white in a variety 3", 6", 8", and 10" balls. For reference, I ended up using 13 (3"), 10 (6"), 18 (8"), and 7 (10"). You can absolutely use whatever size number and mix you want, just giving an idea of what mine consists of. You'll also need a sturdy string of some sort to hang them. I really like a beaded garland that I had from Christmas or something like a length of jute rope might work well, you just want it to be something with some "grip" so the balls will stay in place and not slide around once you've threaded them on. I also used paperclips and scotch tape along the way. I linked similar supplies all together here in my Amazon shop. I selected the colors I used but most of the listings have multiple color options available.

Start by securing all of the balls open, most of them come with paperclips to slide in and hold them open. I use 2-3 paperclips on the larger ones but just one whenever I can get away with it.

I keep small nails in the corner of my mantel for garlands. I knotted a loop in the ends of the bead string and hooked it over the nails. I probably should have wired that loop to the nail a little better just to make sure it didn't pop off, but it's been ok so far.

Then, I hold one end while the other is attached and start threading balls on on the garland, alternating colors and sizes along the way. You'll want the strings stacked fairly close together on the garland, the balls will bunch up together. I hold one end and start at the center and work back towards the loose end I'm holding, then attach that end and undo the other end and fill that side in from the center out. One note, I don't string the smallest 3" balls on at this point, I save those until the last step.

So here's how it looks when all of the balls are strung in place- I kept several extras that I didn't string up yet to use to fill in bare spots as needed later on in the process.

At this point, you want to start moving them around to create some height and a layered look. There are a few ways to do this and again, you just have to experiment and get everything where you want it. One thing I do is pull some of them up from the back, over the beaded string, and rest them on top of other balls.

Also, it helps create a staggered look to knot some of the strings so the balls are closer to the garland. Or I just use a little piece of scotch tape to cinch up the string and make it shorter. (Hard to see here but this string is wrapped with tape to make it shorter.)

Note: If you want it to look full and layered, this really works best to hang on a wall or mantel where there is a surface behind the garland to give them some support and prop them out.

I have some empty space behind it since mine hangs from the front of the mantel. However, here you can see from this shot from up underneath the finished garland that there are several bigger balls in the back leaning against the brick that can't even be seen from the front, but they act like a base and help me be able to prop things into place on the front side. Hope that makes sense!

Once you're getting things in place, if there are any holes you can use a bent paper clip or ornament hook to add in a ball here and there if needed- just hook it down in there onto the garland.

I also had some spots where I wanted one hanging in a specific spot, so I used a paperclip and attached the string to the back of another ball where it would hang in the right spot. Just keep using paperclips and tape and pull pieces from back to front as needed until they are layering nicely. (I try not to use tape on the actual tissue paper so they won't tear when I disassemble, I just use tape to adjust the string length but paperclips where I need to connect balls together.)

The smallest balls are the last thing I add in at the end to fill in gaps and holes (my goal is to not be able to see the bead garland anywhere). Many of the smallest ones aren't even really attached, they're just wedged into place or resting on top of other balls. But you can definitely paperclip those into place too if needed.

When things are mostly in place how I want them I added bows to the corners- the bow has a pipe cleaner (or wire) wrapped around the middle and I attach that to the nail holding the garland up, then nestle it among the balls however it lays best.

One little disclaimer- If this gets bumped or brushed against too hard they do move and shift, so that can be frustrating and I haven't perfected making them more stable yet. As I was assembling it there were some bumps in the road for sure where I would get one section like I wanted it, but then as I adjusted a different spot the first one would move out of place- argh! 🤣 But after some trial and error and more securing, for the most part it stays put and has been fine once I got it all finished. All that to say you might not want it in a high traffic spot and again, as I mentioned above, hanging it against a flat surface like a wall or mirror instead of suspending it without support behind it would definitely help the stability.

Dont' let that scare you off, it IS a fun project to just be creative for a while and let it turn out however it turns out... I think I'll order some blue balls as well and I'll be all set to make something cute this summer for the Fourth, too!

2026 VALENTINE'S DAY DECORATIONS MINI HOME TOUR

Things are looking pretty lovely around here! A few days ago I shared our front porch all ready for Valentine's Day, today I finished up some Valentine's Day decorations inside the house. I focused on three spots- the Entry, the Mantel, and a little vignette on the vintage chest in the corner of the living room.

In my last post I shared my giant bows tutorial with you, you can see here where the former tree topper bow ended up for Valentine's Day. I let it be the star and kept things on the dresser pretty simple, tying a metal heart on one of the lamps and pulling out the best faux tulips ever to carry through my red and pink theme.

Beside the tulips I filled a large glass cylinder with some scatter hearts from Hobby Lobby and a candle, and reused the swans that were out for my Christmas tablescape.

So pleased with how the bow transitioned from the Christmas tree to the Entry on the mirror!

I actually carried over several of my decorations from Christmas- when red and pink are some of your Christmas colors that's easy to do! I loved the plate wall here so much over the holidays, I switched out the Christmas tree plates for these pink cabbage plates and kept everything else up. Have you heard the news that Hobby Lobby is carrying a really good Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage plate dupe with their Easter tableware this year? I have it from a reliable source that it's already sold out online and won't be restocked there this year, so pop in a store if you're interested in checking it out. They have pink and green dinner and salad plates and small bowls. The green is virtually identical to the real thing, the pink is slightly lighter in color. I grabbed a couple of the pink ones to hang here since I don't have any of that color in my collection.

Two of my pink poinsettias from Christmas as still looking good so I incorporated them into this spot, as well as keeping the swan artwork up too.

I love this adorable set of scripture cards that I've had for years. I keep them on my kitchen counter but pulled out a few of them that are verses about love and added a display of them here, too.

Do you remember when I made a honeycomb garland like this before? I had to look it up, it was 4 years ago! I had quite a few questions at the time about how I made it but I hadn't documented my process that time, so I decided to recreate it this year so I could put together some instructions. I've got that tutorial in progress and will post it asap!

I added my DIY XOXO sign (made on the back of this sign!) to the mantel along with my little family of busts (one for Ray, me, Caleb, Kenzi, Emily- ha!) that I enjoy and often use here this time of year.

Maybe you'll also remember my DIY project to temporarily cover a lampshade- these are the same shades without the green gingham fabric! The green and white wasn't vibing with my Valentine's Day mantel so I slipped the covers off and temporarily added some ribbon and pom pom trim. I've got a trick for that too, I'll share it soon in another upcoming post.

HOW TO MAKE A GIANT BOW {TUTORIAL}

This has definitely been the season of the big bows in my home. BIG bows! I made 3 versions that I used when decorating for Christmas, and 2 of those are pulling double shifts for Valentine's Day, so I'd say they were worth the effort! Today I'll share my tutorial with you of the process I used to make my giant bows.

I'll start by saying my bows were all inspired by a bow that John Mark made for his shop and posted about last year. He did a great video tutorial that you can watch on IG that I followed almost exactly for the paper green plaid bow that I made first. I didn't document my process of making that one since I just followed his instructions. I used the same idea but switched up a few minor things here and there for my porch bow and Christmas tree topper bow, but the basic process is the same!

For the green plaid bow, I just used wrapping paper that I had on hand. Definitely make sure you're using a thicker, heavy duty paper if you choose to make one with paper. I didn't have any issues with tearing and it was fairly easy to work with. You'll want a good clear packing tape to use with a paper version as well. I will note, this is how I hung that one over the mirror- fancy! I looped a paper clip through the zip tie in the center of the loops, then used wire and a cup hook in the wall to hang the double loop part of the bow where I wanted it to hang.

I think John Mark attached his tails a bit differently, but for me in this spot I found it easier to keep then separate. I used binder clips and wire to hold them together up under the center of the loops, and looped the wire around the top of the mirror to hold them in place. I also used some clear tape in a few spots to secure them to the loops so it wouldn't look gappy.

To create some movement in the tails I bent the wire where I wanted it to ripple, then just used clear push pins to hold it in place and attach it to the wall in a few spots.

I did decide last minute to document the steps I took as I was making my fabric covered bow for the porch and I have a few shots from making the tree bow, just in case any of you find it helpful to follow along with a step by step photo tutorial. This isn't a pretty tutorial- it's a get it done and I quickly snapped photos of the process tutorial! I made a few mistakes along the way that I went back and changed or would do differently next time, I'll point those out too.

I'll start by sharing my supplies-

Chicken Wire- 13" roll

Chicken Wire- 16" roll

Wire cutters

Wrapping Paper (thick or heavy duty)

Fabric

Duct Tape for edging if desired

Felt Squares to make polka dots if desired

Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks

I've since seen a few other tutorials for large bows like these where the maker used different supplies and steps than I did, so there are definitely some different ways to do this but here's how I did it! The base of my bows is chicken wire, I bought a 13" roll and a 16" roll not sure which one I would want to use once I saw the size in my space. The green plaid bow was made with the 13" roll and I think that would be sufficient for any project. That roll was enough to make the green plaid bow and about 1/2 of the pink porch bow, but I ran out and needed more so I used the wider roll I had on hand too to finish the pink one up. Had I known how much I would end up needing I would have just ordered two of the same width rolls. It didn't really matter but just sharing exactly what I used.

For my porch and tree bows, I used a canvas/duck cloth type decorator fabric that I found for $2/yard on a discontinued rack at a local shop. I had my eye out for red but the price was right and pink worked just fine for me too, so I went with it. I didn't want to spend a lot because I was using this outside and knew it would be in all kinds of weather. I wasn't too concerned about it getting wet, I thought since it was hanging it would just dry naturally pretty quickly. I'm not sure it even ended up raining through the whole Christmas season, and it just got some snow on it last week but fared just fine. (Outdoor fabric would have been ideal but $2/yd this worked great!)

My fabric was the wide decorator fabric, so I started by cutting it in half to work on the loops. Your measurements will be different, I just measured the width of the spot on my porch where I planned to hang it and used that as a guide. You'll want to double the length that you cut for your loops since you'll be folding your pieces in half to make them. (If you want your bow to be about 5 feet wide, you'll need to cut your piece 10ish feet long.) I did make one of the pieces for the loops a bit longer than the other so they would have a layered look and be a little different in size.

You'll want your fabric strips to be wide enough to wrap around as much of the front and back of the wire as possible. The wire likes to roll back up on it's own, so it's a must to have something heavy to hold the ends down while you're working (hence the weights in the photo!). Center the strip of chicken wire, leaving extra fabric on the end as well.

I found it important to fold the cut ends of the wire towards the inside so there weren't any sharp wire pieces sticking out that would pierce the paper or fabric.

It doesn't really matter which sides you do first, but I started by wrapping the ends and hot gluing the fabric into place.

Then, I worked down the sides wrapping the fabric and gluing on the back side.

(P.S.- I'm wearing the darling PJ top as a blouse that I shared in last week's Five Friday Favorites. I posted it really late on Saturday if you missed it and want to check it out- it's a whopper!)

So now I have a finished piece to make one of the loops. Ideally, my fabric would have completely covered the wire but I had a small strip showing down the center of the back. You can see it from behind as my bow hangs, but it wasn't important enough to me to waste more fabric to cover it all the way up.

I wanted to add a little more interest to all that pink fabric, so I thought adding duct tape to the edges was the quickest and easiest way to do that on the outside bow. Just for reference I needed 2 rolls.

I measured and marked the center on the back of the loop strip-

then folded the ends in to those marks and hot glued in place.

I repeated that process with the second part of the loop, then used some zip ties to attach both pieces together and cinch the middle together a little bit. Then I cut a strip of fabric to wrap and glue around the center to cover the zip ties.

Loops are done!

Remember when I said I made some mistakes along the way? Here's one of them. I had seen a tutorial somewhere where they glued floral wire along the edge of the tails, so I thought I'd try that rather than using the chicken wire as a base again. This might have been ok had my bow been hung against a wall, but when I hung it outside there was just not enough support to hang the tails the way I wanted to. I'll show you how I fixed it on down below.

Once the tails were made and tape was added to the sides of them as well, I glued a few "pleats" into what would be the top side to scrunch them up a bit like tails would really look tied on a real bow.

Then, I hot glued those to the back of the bow. Another mistake... I should have left them separate until I hung the loop part of the bow. Keep reading.

Ok, this is once I realized the wire edge tails were too flimsy. I took the bow back down and added chicken wire to the backs of the tails so they would have more body.

Knowing what I know now, I would have made the tails just like I did the loops, wrapping the fabric all the way around the wire to cover it. But, I didn't want to waste more fabric so I just cut some leftover strips of fabric and glued them over my wire on the backs of the tail strips. Again, I was using up scraps so they weren't quite wide enough to cover the wire all the way but good enough to secure it in place. It would have looked prettier from the back had I wrapped them completely from the start like I mentioned, but this was good enough for me at this point. 😉

I hung this the same was as I did the other one, with wire and a cup hook. I only needed one cup hook in the middle and it's been totally fine and secure out there in the wind and weather for 2 months.

Regarding the tails again, I found it worked better to hot glue them onto the back of the loops where I wanted them once I had the loop section already hanging. Then I could tilt them the direction I needed them to go to frame the porch.

I don't have a photo but I used a couple of small nails in a few spots to secure the tails to the side posts. This was where the wire edges I originally tried didn't work and the tails were just to flimsy to shape. The chicken wire backing gave them the structure they needed.

Just a few quick notes on the bow I made for my tree topper-

It's basically the same process on a smaller scale. I had enough wire left from my second roll for this bow too, but I trimmed the wire lengthwise so my strips were narrower (folding the cut wires in again so they don't poke through the fabric). For reference, these were my measurements that I used, my tree is 9' tall.

Front loop: 9" wide x 55" long (then folded in half when finished)

Back loop: 11" wide x 65" long (then folded in half when finished)

Tails (just what I ended up with!):

2 were 6" wide x 32" long

2 were 8" wide x 26" long

Center finishing piece on loops: 5" wide x 20" long

I made the loops exactly like I made the big ones for the porch, here are a few notes on the tails. I laid them out and wrapped and glued the fabric around my wire strips (learned my lesson from the big bow- ha!).

I wanted my tails on this one to have a diagonal cut on the ends, so I just folded the wire up to the shape I wanted before wrapping the fabric around it.

I gathered the tops of the tails with a zip tie and put some wire through it as well because I wasn't sure yet how I was attaching them to the tree.

I was able to somewhat rest the loops on the top of the tree but wrapped a long piece of wire around the center to secure it to the branches in back too. Then I nestled the tails in one by one and ended up securing them with a bit of hot glue up inside the loop where I wanted them to go,

Again, I thought the solid pink was a bit too plain so last minute I decided it needed some pattern! I cut polka dots out of red felt and just climbed the ladder and hot glued them on in place. I used the tiniest drop of hot glue on each one so if I want to remove them and do something different at some point hopefully they will come off cleanly.

She turned out reallllll cute!! (Christmas Living Room Tour here)

On a side note- I'll show you how I repurposed the tree bow for Valentine's day in a post later this week. And, I am storing the green plaid bow in case I want to use it in the future. I just separated the tails from the loops then rolled the tails up and stuck each tail inside one of the bigger loops, then slipped it all in a big trash bag and stored in my attic. I'm already thinking America's 250th might warrant a big patriotic bow somewhere too... we shall see if it gets a makeover for July!

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Once again, I'm sharing my Five Friday Favorites not on a Friday, but here we are anyway! I've been loving these Gingham PJs! They are 100% cotton and super comfortable, I don't get too hot in them. I like how this style fits me better than these cute sets I got for the girls for Christmas. Since they're cotton I do think they tend to shrink a touch. I sized up to a L and am happy with them, I try to pull them out of the dryer while they're still a bit damp. They come in lots of colors and also a shorts version that I plan to try when it warms up.

I'll be sharing more Valentine's decorations in my home this next week, but here's another cute hooked pillow that I got recently that's the perfect 🩷 Day accent. It's the same brand as the wreath pillow that I had at Christmas and I've been so pleased with them!

Before we leave that family of stores, I also wanted to alert you that they have just added a huge selection of blue and white pieces at great price points. Many are the "Three Hands" brand that a lot of the pieces in my home are and I love to come across it when I can.

I found my huge vases shown here several years ago and haven't been able to help you with a source since, but in this collection I found several similar size vases that I can share! My favorite and closest in size to these is this one with the lily pad design, I just love it!

Sam Edelman is one of my favorite shoe brands, and these sneakers (on sale!) are so cute! I love sharing good leopard shoes with you when I find them. These are a calf hair leopard design and fabulous. They are comfortable and the soles are sturdy, I found them true to size. I also thought the olive green color was so good and actually pretty neutral to wear with a wide variety of outfits. I found them on sale at several other retailers in case your size isn't available at the previous link, more leopard here and more olive green here or here.

We'll wrap up today with a bunch of outfits. I ordered some new Kut from the Kloth jeans to try that I really like. I found them true to size with a nice amount of stretch that relaxes just a bit as you wear them. I'm also sharing a handful of a variety of sweaters that look much more high end than the price suggests.

Although I liked them all, this medium wash cuffed style was my favorite of the three Kut jeans that I tried. Sam's just released the cutest collection of Americana sweaters with 6 different styles that are currently under $15!! They are a cotton mix, but feel so nice that I would have been convinced they were 100% cotton had I not looked at the tag. The have a slim cut, I'm wearing an XL. All set to celebrate America's 250th birthday this year!

2026 VALENTINE'S DAY PORCH DECORATIONS

Hi friends! Since it's been a minute and I haven't seen you yet this year, Happy New Year! We've had a nice break and I'm jumping back in to share my Valentine's Day porch with you today. The giant pink bow that I hung for Christmas is working overtime for Valentine's Day, too! (I'll share a tutorial for it in my next post.)

I have a set of faux topiaries that I only pull out this time of year until I can put my ferns out again, and this year I dropped them in my large urns. I wanted something valentine-y that I could add in with them. I looked around the craft store for options that were ready made or wouldn't take too much time to put together and could hold up to the weather, but came out without any great options. Then I stumbled across these cuties and thought they were perfect for what I had in mind!

They had a ribbon hanger on the top but I had a different plan and cut those off. They are flocked styrofoam and I wanted to make sure they could handle the weather so I dropped some water on one of them and let it sit for a while, and they held up perfectly. My plan was to stick them in the urns with the topiaries, so I picked up some dowel rods and carefully pushed them in to the base of the hearts.

With a bow added I think they're as cute as can be! I pulled some red and pink shatterproof ornaments back out of the Christmas tubs to cover the topiary pots and dirt.

Valentine's Day Door Hangers

I've had the tall skinny lanterns for years but they were bright green and I didn't use them very often. I repainted them a glossy red before Christmas and am loving them again! I added gold polka dot stickers to the pillar candles inside. The striped candles were from Ikea after Christmas last year but would be super easy to duplicate with this tape. This exact gingham rug isn't available any more and the red heart is from Hobby Lobby a few years ago but I think they still have it, I've linked some other cute Valentine's Day rugs below.

I got the porch all put together right before our winter storm hit, and this is how it looks right now! Everything held up in some pretty strong winds, sleet, and snow. I'll need to fluff it back up a bit after the snow melts. We got around 9 inches and thankfully not a lot of ice although the streets are slick, are you snowed in too?

I'll have a few other Valentine's Day posts to share with you coming up, but in my next post I'll share with you how I made the big bow. Look for that tomorrow, I'll see you then!

2025 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR PART 3 || LIVING ROOM, CHRISTMAS TREE, AND EVERYTHING ELSE!

Merry Christmas Eve, friends- let's wrap up this Christmas Home tour! Today I'll share our living room, Christmas tree, and everything else sprinkled around the house. As usual, we decorate merry and bright for Christmas around here!

In case you haven't caught on, this is the year of the big bows in my house- all DIY! A giant pink bow covers the front porch, and green plaid bow makes a statement in the Entry, and finally the tree is topped with this pink and red polka dot cutie! I will do a tutorial in January for you, it's the same process for all three and you bet I plan to keep the pink ones around for Valentine's Day!

I used most of the same bows on the tree as last year, but did switch one of the ribbons to a darling red and pink stripe (sold out but very similar here).

Never got around to painting these guys still, maybe this year! I just can't decide what I want to do with them so I wait for inspiration to strike...

I set up our nativities and pyramids on these shelves. Several made by the kids over the years in Sunday School, several from travels and the pyramids are thrifted and yard sales.

I mixed some plaid in with red and pink for the mantel bows this year and this it's a fun combo that I probably wouldn't have thought to try- told you I was inspired by a walk through Dillards this season!

These shelves are the perfect spot for my paper houses I've collected over the past few years and I love them mixed with the nutcrackers.

I've had my candy jars on this table for the past few years but moved things around this year and put the kissing angels here. A friend made them and three of the choir boys on the mantel years ago in her ceramics class. She no longer wanted them and offered them to me, I repainted and love them so much!

Last month we were visiting our kids in Northwest Arkansas and Emily got stuck looking through a huge rack of vintage post cards at a shop we were in. Then we all started looking through them, it was so fun to see what we could find! I got a few for different holidays and thought this Christmas one was sweet. The back has a simple "Seasons Greetings" message written in beautiful cursive script from one friend to another.

This is a small version of the plate wall I was inspired by at Dillards. I was also seeing a lot of swan artwork and vintage swan figurines and planters used for Christmas, so I bought a digital download swan print and had it printed at Walgreens to make this artwork.

Of course he needed a bow too! If you're interested in a tutorial on how I put this together I'll share in January.

All of my glass trees I use around are from years past, but I found some similar ones here, I collect them here and there to sprinkle around everywhere!

I love visiting local thrift stores when we travel, that's where I find my favorite souvenirs! On our trip in October I picked up these little Fitz and Floyd Christmas figurines at a thrift store in North Carolina, love how this cute vignette turned out with them! The ceramic trees, lamp post, carolers, sledder, snowman, and boy carrying presents were all part of the set.

I thought I'd share a few other spots around the house with hints of Christmas- I added these fun red gingham Euro Shams to our bed. How could I not throw some red in there at Christmas with our green headboard?!? The snowflake pillows were a gift from my sister years ago, the duvet cover is Cath Kidston at TJ Maxx a few years ago, and the green striped pillows are sold out (these are super close!) but I've found some similar things to get the look here.

I have a few little decorations sprinkled around the kitchen-

and the table and chandelier in the breakfast nook got loaded up with ornaments too.

I added a little Christmas/winter scene on the dresser in Emily's room- last year I think we left it until February or so!

In the powder bath I hung a felt holly wreath that I found a few years ago in a shop in Rogers, AR and the elf artwork made by little Emily that I love finding a spot for at Christmas!

And the back patio mantel got just a bit of decor with this darling folk art angel that I also thrifted in North Carolina. And can I just say how crazy the weather is in OK? I'm currently sitting on the patio barefoot the day before Christmas and although I've brought them in for a few cold snaps, am surrounded by my ferns and geraniums still... trying to figure out what cute Christmas outfit I have to wear for our 79 degree forecast on Christmas Day! 😒

We found a vintage blow mold nativity set a few years ago and it's Ray's job to get it set up every year, so pretty at night and a great reminder of the meaning of the season!

Welcome to Part 2 of my Christmas Home Tour this year, I'm excited to share my Front Porch and Entry with you today!

I like what I've done the past few years on the porch so it started out pretty similar to last year-

I've enjoyed this Christmas mat from Hobby Lobby, the gingham is past season from Target, and the ginger jar was from Tuesday Morning, RIP! 🥲 I found some similar pieces, including a jar just like this one but it's PINK and some incredible deals (under $50!) on a few blue and white ones that are this large size, those are all linked here.

The snowflakes were big clear ornaments but they really just disappeared, so I gave them a quick coat of white spray paint then some spray adhesive and a coating of faux snow.

I painted some older lanterns that I've had red and added them in this year, but everything else is a repeat with the exception of one new addition...

Vinyl Polka Dot Stickers

I finally did what I've wanted to do for a few years and added a giant bow over the door!!

I made this and it was pretty simple, it just took a little time. I've shared some porch photos already on IG and several are asking for a tutorial. I did take photos of my process and plan to share that with you, but at this point I know it's too late for Christmas and I will get that together and share it in January. You bet I'm planning to use this for Valentine's Day, too! I will say, I got the idea and followed the tutorial that John Mark shared on Instagram earlier this year (I recently shared a tour from my visit to his shop if you missed it!). Here's a link to his tutorial if you just have to make one right away and want to see how this one was made. The only difference is his is covered with paper and this one is fabric, so I used fabric and hot glue instead of paper and tape. The edge of mine is red duct tape!

These twiggy trees are on their last leg and I've wanted to replace them but haven't found some good options that I like. They're fine for now, though! I cluster small ornaments with a pipe cleaner and twist it around a branch- quick and easy!

My teenage neighbor had a Christmas party with her girlfriends a few nights ago and they game over to take a group pic under the bow. Then my little 4 year old neighbor saw them and wanted me to take her picture too like she saw the big girls doing. 😊 I was delighted!

Ok, walk on in under that giant bow and come see my Entryway- you might notice a theme!

I actually made this bow first following John Mark's tutorial. I made it exactly like he did with some wrapping paper that I had on hand and love how it turned out! If you've been here a while you might remember that I've hung my big stars here for years, so I was ready for something a little different this year and this did the trick!

The big plain white shade was sticking out like a sore thumb. I tried tying a wreath on the front but didn't end up liking that, then I decided to just add some pom pom trim. Pom Poms are always a good choice, right? It helped to add a little color. I actually really want to find a fun fabric to cover these shades since I like the striped shades I added to another pair of lamps so much, maybe that will be a project for early next year.

All of these decorations are from past years from Walmart or Hobby Lobby, I think the little nutcrackers were Target. These little pink felt trees sold so fast at WM a few years ago, I wish I had bought a few more or that they carried them again another year but no luck.

2025 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR PART 1 || DINING ROOM

Welcome to my 2025 Christmas Home Tour! Today we're kicking off part 1 with my Dining Room and Christmas Tablescape. I'll be sharing several spaces around my home with you all through the week, so I hope you are sitting with some sparkly lights and a cozy blanket and warm drink and enjoy the tours!

I mentioned in a post a few weeks ago that I was inspired by this year's Southern Living Christmas collection at Dillards and how they mixed a classic plaid with my favorites I already use- pink and red, blue and white, and green cabbage ware style dishes. It hadn't really occured to me before to mix my usual colors along with the plaid which I also love, so it was fun to be able to use it all and you'll see some hints of that color and pattern mix on my table this year.

We are kicking off our Christmas celebrations schedule this weekend. Our ER nurse son has to work on Christmas Day, but they have a few days off this weekend so we'll celebrate together a bit early. Still trying to decide what I'm going to make for a yummy Christmas breakfast and lunch while they're here!

I found some plaid tablecloths and napkins at TJ Maxx that I used to make a runner similar to the one from Dillards. This is one of my favorite plaid patterns, I'll link a very similar one under the photo that's almost exactly like this one and very good as well.

I'm so glad that Dillards has had this line of pagoda style lanterns in various seasonal collections this past year. They can be hard to come by and it's been nice to have a similar source to point you all to when I'm asked about my various other pagoda lanterns around my house that are no longer available. It's fun to find things to tuck inside other than a candle- there isn't any glass on the sides so it's easy to arrange things. Reminds me of putting together dioramas in elementary school!

Long time readers might remember these DIY candelabras. I made them years ago and haven't used them in a while but just repainted them- I think this is about the 3rd color they've been- ha! I followed my friend's tutorial to make them, slightly altering a few of the pieces and height to suit me. I opted to use remote control candles for these this time but decided they needed a little something. I thought about striping them with paint or tape, but then had a different idea. Tiny drops of hot glue and a handful of pom poms made them so much happier! The candles are all on a remote with timer options, and they glow steady or have a slight flickering mode and are dimmable!

I have a set of tiny blue opaline cordial glasses, added them for another pop of color and filled them with a few jingle bells and a tiny disco ball.

I've had these swans for several years hanging out in the closet but haven't used them yet. They were in the Christmas collection at HL several years ago. I just searched for something similar but think I found this exact one- I think they'll be fun to use at Valentine's Day, too. When I share my Living Room tour later this week you'll see another swan, that one inspired me to pull these out and use them on my table.

I enjoyed the chandelier loaded with ornaments so much last year I did it again. Most of these are vintage glass balls I've thrifted over the years, a few are from Walmart or Hobby Lobby in recent years. I also have some newer Shiny Brites on there- Dillards carries those too and I always hit them up for half price after Christmas! I just hang them with ornament hooks all over the frame. Tip if you're doing this- bunch up a thick throw blanket or two over your table while you're working. I inevitably drop at least one ornament while I'm working and a cushioned landing keeps them from breaking. Also, lay the ornaments you're choosing from over to the side, not directly under the chandelier. Again, if you drop you don't want the ornament to fall on another one and break them both. Ask me how I know to recommend these tips to you... 😉

I didn't notice until looking at photos but I alternated gingham and plaid ribbon bows, and the plaid doesn't show very well! I think I'll go back and layer a red ribbon with the plaid too.

I had some extra bottle brush wreaths (Target a few years ago) and the open back of the new/old rattan chairs made them super easy to hang!

You might be finished with your shopping (lucky duck!) but if you're like me you may not be getting serious about it until right around now, or this weekend! If you still have a few loose gift ends to tie up, I hope this year's Dimples and Tangles Christmas Gift Guide is helpful. I always try to include mostly things we have and recommend, and have included some things that are on all of our wish lists as well.

Double Pocket Eyeglasses Case - I recently discovered this case and love it! I use it for my prescription glasses and sunglasses, but if you only need readers you still have an extra spot for your sunnies so great for those too!

Lilly Pulitzer Stand- I have this, love it, use it often for my phone or kindle.

Leather Gloves- should have added these below because they're actually on my list this year, but they would be a nice affordable gift for anyone! I like that they go just a bit higher on the wrist to tuck under your coat cuff well.

Polka Dot Scarf and Leopard Scarf- both of these patterns would get tons of wear and can mix and match with just about anything!

Skinny Scarves- I love these for tying onto a bag, around a pony tail, a simple neck scarf or even a lamp!

Cozy Long Cardigan- I'm currently wearing this as I type and it reminded me to include it! I have 3 colors and wear around the house every morning and evening. Better than the pricey Barefoot Dreams cardigan I've had in the past, and it's currently $9 in a variety of colors and wide size range.

Leather Scallop Edge Coin Pouch and Arched Top Scallop Pouch- I just thought these were both so cute, they appear to be fantastic quality for a reasonable price, and their products have outstanding reviews!

Heart Toggle Clasp Necklace- I've shared this multiple times because it is so good for the price!

Makeup Organizer Bag- I have a bag like this and love all of the different sections and pockets to keep everything sorted. It holds so much and I like that it opens and stays flat, easy to stash out of the way in a hotel room even when it's open.

Pashmina Wrap- I love this color and take this with me on any trip where we will be in meetings or conference rooms. It's compact and easy to stash in my tote, yet so warm to wrap around my arms in chilly rooms.

Southern Sensibility Design Book- I love following this designer on Instagram. She creates classic Southern spaces full of color and charm. Beautiful coffee table book!

A few splurges on my personal wish list...

Brass Salt and Pepper Mills- I've admired this heirloom quality set for years, freshly ground salt and pepper really do make such a difference and what a beautiful way have it! I recently noticed the set at a good sale price and am hoping Santa got the memo!

Coach ID Card Wallet - I'm embarrased to admit I've been carrying my cards and cash in a tiny clear card pouch that isn't very secure or large enough for as long as I can remember. It's just so easy to quickly toss into whatever bag I'm carrying no matter the size, but it's time to go back to a "real" wallet! This is the perfect size without being bulky- it has several card slots, multiple compartments for cash or other important papers, a zipper compartment for coins and my phone fits inside if I ever want to just carry it by itself.

Coach Tabby Convertible Bag- I really miss my leather Coach bag that I had in High School. Not sure what happened to it but wish I still had it! This is a beauty- the leather is amazing and the style is so versatile. It can be worn as a crossbody, shoulder bag, or clutch and is roomy enough for all of the essentials.

Coach Laurel Convertible Bag- Also love this bag. It's a tad larger and I would consider it more of an everyday style. Two different straps for a variety of ways to carry it.

Ugg Slingback Clogs - I have these on the young girls' list too, but my friend has a pair and I want some too- ha! Just a nice, comfy option for casual days and alternative to boots or flats. Wear with or without socks and the strap can flip up over the shoe or go around the back of your heel.

Camping String Lights- we got these a few months ago and they are super handy! Not only great for outdoors, but I enjoyed using the lamp portion in the car at night on our road trip to avoid turning on the harsh overhead light.

Knife Sharpener - on my son's list and thought it was a great idea!

Seiko Alpinist Watch or Fossil Watch- Ray recently got this Seiko to commemorate his years spent in his previous long time position we recently left- this is the best price we found and he's really been enjoying it. The fossil is a nice more budget friendly option.

Adjustable Dumbbells Set- what a brilliant idea when there's not a lot of space to store multiple sets of weights.

Sweaters- Ray just picked up a few of these styles, so many good ones to choose from! I like these vest sweater styles too.

Classic Oxford Dress Shoes- on Ray's list! He really loves these more casual sneaker dress shoes too and has several colors.

Slim Leather Wallet- my brother in law has this on his list, nice wallet in a wide variety of colors.

Slippers- fantastic gift for under $10!

Wet/Dry Vac- one of Ray's faves, this is a great shop vac and he uses it often cleaning up the cars, too.

Manual Pencil Sharpener- I really miss a good old crank pencil sharpener, the electric ones just never seem as good! Caleb actually asked for one of these last year to mount in the garage and it works like a charm, it's on Ray's list this year.

Tozo Earbuds- Ray has had several pairs of these and he's a fan of the brand.

Leather Cleaner and Conditioner- this one is on Ray's list!

Rechargeable Keychain Flashlight- Caleb has had his eye on this, it's tiny yet powerful and plugs directly into a USB port to recharge.

Gingham Pajama Set- so cute with multiple color options.

Code Names Board Game - perpetually a favorite with the kids when their friends are around, we enjoy playing as a family as well.

Leather Tote Backpack and Small Scallop Edge Card Wallet- from the same company as scallop pouches above, quality leather products in a nice variety of colors

Coach ID Card Wallet- a nice wallet is the top item on Emily's list, this is a great option that has good compartments inside without being too bulky, and it's just the right size to slip her phone inside too if she wants to.

Gingham Ruffle Socks- so cute!

Owala Water Bottle- the tumbler all the kids want!

Ugg Slingback Clogs- a favorite for all ages! This color is so pretty, these are on my list below too!

Digital Camera- We bought this for Emily for Christmas last year and she has really enjoyed using it! The kit comes with all of the accessories needed, but this card reader that connects straight to their phone is also nice to have. Kit also available here in a different color at a lower price.

Travel Jewelry Case- my niece suggested this and it's perfect for packing!

Dainty Bow Necklace- 14K gold plated for a terrific price!

Scrunchies- they are on the lists of the young ladies in my family!

Striped Oversized Sweatshirt- tons of colors, these have been popular for the girls for a while and are still going strong!

Lego Botanicals Happy Plants- another suggestion from my niece, cute for dorm rooms!

Gel Nail Polish Kit- I have one of these and it works great, some of the girls have used it too and like it!

A Charlie Brown Christmas Vinyl- Ray just got this for his recent birthday and we've been enjoying it so much! He added It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown to his Christmas wish list.

21 Days of Prayer Book- Several years ago our church went through this book together, Ray recently worked through it again and remarked on how much of an impact it made.

A Psalm for Unseen Servants- if you need a gift for a minister or volunteer in your church, this is a fantastic book! Written by our former pastor in his clear, calm, engaging manner, it is a fairly quick read centered around Psalm 134 and offers encouragement to those often unseen or unacknowledged for the kingdom work they do.

Book Embosser- edit the personalization a bit and these are great for making personalized notecards too.

Camera Bird Feeder- this was already on my list but we just went to a gift exchange where this got "stolen" 3 times- popular pick for sure!

Remote Control for Kindle or Ipad- I have one of these and it's super handy!

Pickleball Set- I had this in mind for teens/young adults. Our kids play often and like having extra paddles on hand to share with friends who might not have one. We've also enjoyed taking this set on vacation with us, there are courts around almost everywhere now.

Hands Free Phone Mount- Ray and Emily both have one of these for their cars and it's super handy!

COME TOUR JOHN MARK'S SHOP AT CHRISTMAS WITH ME!

On the way home from our road trip in October, we planned our schedule so I could make a stop at John Mark's in Germantown, Tennessee, just outside of Memphis. I've followed his page on Instagram for over a year when a friend who was going to his annual Christmas Open House shared it with me. His work is so inspiring and his posts are always encouraging! Couldn't wait to see the famous ribbon room... I snapped lots of photos to share with you. Since our visit I can see on IG that the displays have changed multiple times, it seems like things move fast around there. If you're still adding Christmas touches here and there, you might find a few ideas here, or pin and save for next year!

Can you believe that entry? Wow! The shop is relatively small but is divided up into different rooms/sections with different styles. This was one of my favorite spots just inside the front door. I loved those giant pine cone candleholders.

This area was set up for entertaining, not in the photo but they carry loads of seasonal paper goods and tableware. I picked up some cute disposable guest towels to use for Christmas.

Traditional red and green tree- if you don't know John Mark makes all of these fabulous bows and there are premade options hanging all over the store to pick up and take with you.

I found the ribbon room in the back of the store and made several laps taking it all in-

My sweater and pants are sold out but love these thin scarves and these are the best walking shoes!

It's actually two rooms packed full of ribbon floor to ceiling! I really loved the paint color as well.

All white- magical!

Probably no surprise that this pink tree was my favorite!

If you look closely you can see a thin light and dark pink check/striped ribbon threaded through this tree, a roll of that came home with me too.

Lots of great nutcrackers were standing at attention!

These were incredible- probably 18"-24" or so and just fabulous! Pricey of course but I thought it might be possible to DIY something similar if I found the right ornaments to use and paint, or for a more involved project crafting something with various finial and wood pieces. Storing that idea away for the future...

Had to snap a pic by my favorite tree before we left- this guy's a trooper and a good chauffeur and "waiter" while I pop into all the places I want to visit. :) If you're ever traveling near or through Memphis, this is a fun place to stop! There were also a couple of good decorator fabric stores nearby and a Pottery Barn/Williams Sonoma outlet that are worth a visit.

BLUSH PINK AND BROWN THANKSGIVING TABLE

Hello, Happy (almost) Thanksgiving! My table is all set and we are actually hosting here this year so we are busy bees getting ready for our crew. A few weeks ago I shared a preview of my plans for a blush pink and brown Thanksgiving table, here's how it came together!

It was dreary and rainy when I photographed, my photos are a bit more shadowy than normal. But, notice something new? I played musical chairs! These rattan chairs are part of a set with a table that I got on FBMP for the patio. I decided to split them up and liked how these looked with the DR table for a change. I had the seats recovered, you can't tell here but it's a small blue and white herringbone pattern. With all of the pillows and curtains and colors and patterns I always have in here I decided to go with something more toned down for the chairs. I've never seen chairs like this and think they're so cool! (The green and blue upholstered chairs aren't going anywhere, just rotating them to storage for a bit for something different!)

I was asked how I handle the all of the plates on my tables when there is a stack of multiples like this. I set a mix that I like that looks pretty, and just before gathering everyone to serve the meal I go through and scoop up the extras and save them for later. I'll leave the dinner plate and bread plate, but stack up any others and save them for dessert etc. (Sometimes I add a few extra dishes just to make the pics look prettier for you 😄 and give pattern mixing inspiration. We don't necessarily always use this many.) We serve buffet style in the kitchen, so I just have everyone pick up their plate and go through the line.

I intended to monogram the napkins but ran out of time. Life will go on without monograms. 😂

I love the little rattan pumpkins (now on clearance!) that you saw in my Fall home tour, moved those over to the table along with some of the mushrooms that I had used in other spots.

As I looked back at my inspiration photo there are a couple of things I meant to add too (like the tortoise glass orbs) and just realized I forgot. I'll probably tweak things a bit more before the big day and will be setting up a second table as well that will be similar.

I wish you all a meaningful Thanksgiving with your family and friends as we celebrate and acknowledge all we have to be grateful for. I'm so thankful for each of you as well. 💚

FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES

Happy Friday, Friends! I don't know about you but we're excited to be kicking off the upcoming holiday week. We are actually hosting at our house this year so we're working to get allllll the things ready. I've pulled out some Christmas things but am stuck trying to figure out how much I want to do before Thanksgiving. We have some birthdays this time of year too so we'll just be celebrating all kinds of things! I think this week's Five Friday Favorites are lots of fun, let's get to them!

1) Ever since wandering into one of her stores when we went to London over 10 years ago, I've been a Cath Kidston fan! Her designs are delightful, colorful, and whimsical and I was thrilled to come across some pieces lately at one of my favorite budget friendly stores. I fell in love with the "Snow Day" pattern immediately and scooped up a set of sheets to use on my daughter's bed through the holiday season. I even used the bag that the sheets came wrapped in to make a little accent pillow- just popped a small pillow inside and threaded a ribbon through the buttonholes to make it cuter.

The scenes depicted are just precious even down to the tiny music notes coming from the band's instruments. Actually, I loved all of the patterns and it was hard to choose! I'm very tempted to also add the "Snow Day" quilt set, and I keep eyeing the "Shine Bright" duvet set for my own bed through the holidays.

2) I've admired these brass salt and pepper mills for years. When I came across a great sale on the set this week, I immediately added it to my Christmas wish list! It also comes in a beautiful chrome finish if that's more your preference.

3) I've got several new tops that I haven't shared with you yet, so I'm just lumping them in one big group today as one of my favorites. First, this ruffle edge gingham button up is fantastic! It comes in a lot of colors and is true to size, although it seems like mine did shrink just a bit in the sleeve length (it's cotton) after washing. It's such a good deal, I've reordered and have 3 colors now!

The navy gingham shirt that I've had for years is thin and lightweight and the collar is flimsy- not great for layering. I set out searching for a new one and this Mens shirt checked all the boxes! Cotton with the tiniest bit of stretch, no buttons on the collar so it doesn't look so much like a men's shirt, a price you won't believe, and a great collar to pop! It's a men's slim fit, I got a Large. The body is fairly long but perfect if you want to wear it with leggings, and the arms are long as well.

My all time favorite black and white gingham shirt is still available too, and coming in at $16 another steal of a deal!

This rugby is giving me all the fashion feels from my teen years! Five stars, great fit and fabric. It took a little while to arrive at the time I bought but worth the wait. Several colors, Emily got the green and navy stripe and I just noticed she brought it home with her for the week, I might have to borrow it while she's here! I'm in a M for a relaxed fit. Just noticed it's on Black Friday deal too... score!

Two sale tops I wanted to mention so you don't miss out, my cotton flag sweater is on clearance for under $15! The white is sold out but navy is still available, stocked in all sizes XS-4X.

And, I've been watching for this red plaid button up to go on sale, and it just did! Another men's style, but again I like that the collar points don't have the buttons so it's not as noticeable. My order is on the way!

4) A couple of sale home items that I love of note- I just spotted the scalloped block print style Christmas Tree skirt that I bought last year, and it's $10 less than I paid making it under $20! There are several colors and patterns available and it's a nice 60" size.

Both Moth Art pieces in my dining room came from this shop, they have a huge variety to choose from that is all fabulous!

I FOUND THE INSPIRATION I NEEDED FOR MY CHRISTMAS DECOR THIS YEAR!

A while back I was walking through Dillards and this set up stopped me in my tracks! I knew immediately I had found the inspiration I needed for my Christmas decor this year.

As I analyzed, I realized that I have similar items to most of the parts and pieces, but I'm not sure I've ever put them together this way before. Green + Pink + Chinoiserie Blue and White + Tartan Plaid... the plaid in the mix along with the pink and red is what felt different to me! I think the key is that it's a lighter, white background plaid and the red, green, and blue in it pulls together the red and pink, blue and white, and green in all of the other decorations.

Love all of the dish mixes but these lanterns!!! I have some pagoda lanterns and as I've mentioned in the past, they are always hard to find at an affordable price to source for you, if I can find them at all! But Dillards has several colored ones and a gold one available right now! I picked up a few of this style at the end of summer and will be using them in the mix, but i also think i'll spray a couple of my older pagoda lanterns red like these. Those pink metal bows are so cute too!

And then there's the tree they set up!! Love it all. I'm not sure what I'm doing on the top of my tree yet this year but that giant bow is inspiring me for sure!

I also broadened my search a bit with the goal of finding some other products that give the same look at a lower price point. I tried to find things that were more affordable, but a few of these included below to "Get the Look" are the only option available and the price just is what it is- ha!

OUR VISIT TO THE BILTMORE HOUSE AND ESTATE

Last month we did some traveling and went on a big road trip. I shared the first part of our visit to Laurel, MS and Perdido Key, FL with you here if you missed it. After leaving the beach, we wanted to visit a part of the country we haven't really spent time in before and headed to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. This trip was a last minute pivot from previous plans, so we were winging it, making plans as we went. When friends heard we were headed to the area they graciously offered us some of their passes to tour The Biltmore House and Estate. We jumped at the chance and are so grateful for their generosity!

A few facts consolidated from our visit and Google - Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, NC, the Biltmore is the largest privately owned home in the United States. It was built by George Washington Vanderbilt from 1889-1897, and he married Edith Stuyvesant Vanderbilt in 1898. Their only child, Cornelia, was born in 1900. The house has 175,000 square feet of floor space- 250 rooms, 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, and 65 fireplaces. The home is surrounded by 8,000 acres including 75 acres of gardens, and is considered the birthplace of American Forestry. The acreage during George Vanderbilt’s lifetime was approximately 125,000 acres and included property later sold to the federal government to create Pisgah National Forest, one of the first national forests east of the Mississippi. The estate was opened to the public on March 15, 1930 after Cornelia Vanderbilt Cecil and her husband John A. V. Cecil decided to open the house to visitors to help support the estate and boost tourism in the area during the Great Depression.

The photos I'm sharing here barely scratch the surface of the amount I took, but I cut it off at around 60 here!! And they don't begin to do the grandness of the rooms in the house or the estate grounds justice. It was a beautiful day to visit!

This atrium through the front door welcomes visitors- the ceiling was magnificent! They were decorating for Christmas in the house. Most rooms throughout already had trees up and this space was in progress but it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Billards Room-

Dining Room- it was just stunning! All of the details throughout the house were just so much to take in. Three fireboxes side by side on one end of this massive room-

and a wall full of organ pipes on the other end.

There were countless gathering rooms for family and entertaining guests surrounding the central atrium. Again- the details of the woodwork, ceiling, wall treatments, fireplaces... all just mind boggling.

The back of the house-

This veranda (behind us in the photo above) stretched across the back and I could just imagine sitting for hours and hours looking out over the fields and vast expanse of land. At the time the estate was built, they said Vanderbilt land went as far as your eye could see. Wow!

George toured Europe extensively and his travels had a big influence on the design of the home. He was fond of tapestries and displayed several in the "Tapestry Room".

The grand Library with bookshelves all the way around and a spiral staircase to access the second level-

This staircase gave access to multiple floors. It was the grandest but there were several others throughout the house that were mostly used by family only and several that would have been used by the servants.

I loved the gigantic tassel rope handrails-

All the way at the bottom you can see the Christmas tree from the photo above-

The upper levels were full of more family gathering spaces- living rooms, sitting rooms, and bedrooms. I didn't take notes to remember what all of these were called, there were so many!

This was George's bedroom-

and a large sitting area outside of it with Edith's bedroom on the other side.

I loved this green furniture with the tassel trim, and the oil painting hung is daughter Cornelia.

Edith's bedroom-

I think this was a guest bedroom but it was one of my favorites. The walls were more of a mauve/pink that the photo was showing and it was such a striking combination with the green.

Details... there were also quite of bit of blue and white pieces sprinkled in throughout the home.

The entrance into the nursery- again I couldn't get over all of the details like these fabric covered walls and loved the trimwork on the door.

I think the nursery was on a different floor than George and Edith's bedrooms, if it was on the same floor it wasn't very close! Ha, it was a different time and such a different way of life. The other end of the large room was a bed for the nanny and sitting area.

There is an elevator in the house which is the original 1895 Otis elevator, and they are quite proud of it! It is available for guests with mobility issues but the attendant was going down and no one was around so he offered us a ride. It was magnificent and he said that the Otis company still maintains it.

Moving into the lower levels and basements- these brightly colored walls fill one large room. They were a bit of a mystery until documents and photos were discovered explaining their purpose. Cornelia and her friends would hang out in this space, and one year they produced a play for New Year's Eve. The painted walls were the sets for the story!

There was a bowling alley- they mentioned that there would have been a servant standing at the end of each lane to clear, set the pins back up, and return the ball each time.

There was a 9' swimming pool with diving platform in the basement! It was considered therapeutic and the left railing side had ropes hanging down periodically that guests could hang on to in the water, many did not know how to swim. They said the pool had to be filled and drained after each use, unbelievable! The last time it was filled was in the 50's and all of the water leaked into the sub basement below, so it will likely never be repaired and filled again.

A gym complete with early weights, medicine balls, a rowing machine- all the latest equipment!

The servant quarters were well outfitted but utilitarian and nothing fancy as would be expected-

The kitchen wasn't as large as I would expect considering the large gatherings that they prepared for but was definitely well appointed for the time period. There was even one little room that consisted just of a giant rotisserie!

Staff dining table-

There were several work and storage rooms including this potting room

and this fabulous flower arranging room!

A couple of large laundry rooms- one for washing and one for pressing/finishing. They stressed the complexity of the outfits worn back then and the servants would also take care of laundry for all of the guests, taking great care to ensure that each piece of clothing was restored to like new condition upon returning to the owner.

A sportsman's room (wall on the other side was full of cases with gun racks)-

Leaving the tour! It was A LOT to take in but so fabulous to see.

We also spent a bit of time roaming the grounds, wish we had had more time! There are trollies that move around to different stops on the grounds, or you can freely roam the paths from one spot to another.

The Conservatory was stunning and packed full of a huge variety of flowers and plants-

If you made it this far... whew! Believe me, I could have included more but just had to stop! If you've never visited, it's a must see if you're ever in the area. And on a side note, we don't have a Belk in OKC but I stopped into one when were were in Fort Worth this past weekend, and they have a whole Biltmore labeled line of home goods! We thought the Advent Calendar was so cool (it's large!) and these 18" blue and white trees were SO nice in person- there's a pagoda version and a bird/floral version. Just thought it was interesting to spot that after we had just visited!

You all seemed to love the picks I shared for Walmart Deal Days last month, let's do it again! Early Black Friday Deals just kicked off, and there are some winners for sure! I also have some new cute, affordale outfit pieces from Walmart Fashion that I've wanted to share with you, so I'll throw those in as well. Some of those pieces aren't included in the sale, but even at regular price Walmart prices are hard to beat for the quality and style. So let's get to it!

These wide leg jeans are my new go-to favorites. So many reasons... the price is unbelievable, they feel incredible, and the back section of the waist is elastic so no gapping and they fit like a glove. TTS, I'm wearing the M. The length was great for me but you know I prefer a cropped ankle with wide leg pants, so I cut and frayed the hem. Availability is spotty online but I'm hoping they'll get everything restocked soon because I've seen plenty in store. And, let's talk about THIS SWEATER!! The pattern, the colors, the price... I was all in the second I saw it. I found it to be very fitted and preferred the fit of sizing up a bit, I'm in an XL. It also comes in a fun black and white version.

I think I was the last to know about these leopard pants, they get 2 big thumbs up from me! With elastic along the back of the waistline, they fit great and are just as comfortable as sweatpants and the fabric feels amazing. Several other colors available, I'm in a M. And the best part? Under $17!! The camo pair would be fun too!

Pants || Shirt on sale! || Sweater || Loafers- this color sold out right now but they often restock and there are others available currently. Emily (when she dresses professionally) and I are big fans of these, they have the best cushioned sole and the horse bit buckle gives big designer vibes!

OK, I'm sharing this coat because it's fantastic but sadly this color sold out in a flash, hoping they get more! I wanted to share anyway though because it also comes in a fabulous blue plaid, it's on Kenzi's wish list! It runs a little big, I'm in a M and probably could have sized down but happy with it.

I've been wearing these high rise flare leg trouser jeans on repeat lately! They have the perfect amount of stretch and the higher waist holds everything in... I think this flare leg cut is so flattering too. Pretty TTS but if you're in between I'd size up. I paired it recently with this striped lightweight sweater, it comes in a lot of colors and is perfect for cool days or layering under a jacket. It's pretty fitted, I preferred sizing up and this is an XL for a more relaxed fit.

Again, sorry that all of these pieces below might be limited stock online but wanted to share anyway because they are often restocked. Easiest to shop here, but if your size is out I've seen both of these pieces in the store if you want to keep an eye out there. Same jeans again, and this sweater is the same as the striped above.

I've had these jeans for a while and shared before, but they sell out often. However, they're back and I wanted to include them today because they are on deal marked at $15! Several washes, true to size.

OK, so let's move on to my favorite picks from the early Black Friday deals! What a great time to get a jump on (or finish up!) your holiday shopping! I always try to include some things I own and love, and my other selections are the best items for the best deals in my opinion. But there are SO many deals to choose from, be sure to take a look around all of them.

Our favorite mini crockpot set from last year is back! These sold out in a hurry last year. This green and white color combo is back, and they also have a darling red and white set this year. I have several of these- as does every household in my extended family- they are so perfect for dips, appetizers like meatballs or smokies, toppings for taco bar night, and cooking small servings. They come packaged in their own boxes so they are easy to split up for gift giving!

I got this wet/dry vac for Ray a couple of years ago and he loves it for the garage and car! I've checked and it doesn't go on sale often, this is a good deal.

These long cardigan sweaters are on sale for $13 and are worth at least 5 times that price. I've had a Barefoot Dreams cardigan before and I think these are better for waaaaaaay less. I throw one on every morning and evening in the cooler months over my pjs, they are just the softest and coziest! Multiple colors and sizes, I prefer the L. Great gift idea or grab one for each of the girls in the fam to wear with those holiday pjs!
