Received this Japanese coffee sample from Brook’s. Love the aroma. Just like the fresh coffee beans roasted as I opened the satchet. However, the taste is just so-so. Still not bad for a morning coffee.

Got this from Hikaru last night. He just got back from Hong Kong awhile back. The wife biscuit (Lou Po Peng) is really different from what I had the last round I was in Hong Kong. Nonetheless, this is yummy and not too sweet.

Last Saturday, I was at Bangsar Village 2 for the Super GT Roadshow with Kelson, Rachel, Rose and Yien. It was the Official Launch of SUPER GT 2012 Round 3 Malaysia.

The SUPER GT 2012 Round 3 Malaysia, one of the most popular and greatest motorsport events was officially launched today by JPM Motorsport at the Bangsar Village 2. SUPER GT is a world class Grand Touring Race Series where it is hugely popular and reputable in its country of origin – Japan. SUPER GT 2012 Round 3 Malaysia is the one and only round out of the eight round of the SUPER GT in Japan.

Hundred members from several car clubs were also present to witness the momentous event.

Carvery Restaurant (previously located in Pending) is now located in Abell Hotel on Abell Road. This restaurant is every Carnivorian/Meat Lovers dining place! They serve approximately 16 types of MEAT (white & red meats including seafood)!

Not sure what to expect? Here’s my review on Carvery Restaurant when they were still in Pending. Then, they moved to Abell Hotel which is right in the Cat City! Been there few times during my holidays back in Kuching. Although the venue has changed, but the varieties of MEAT is still the same Normally, I’ll skip most of the meat servings (chicken wings, sausages, ham & turket, etc) to save up the tummy storage for just Sirloin and a few slices of lamb. Yums!

Two years ago, we went to the Orchid Garden Coffee House for the Mother’s Day buffet dinner. You can read about it here. We paid for ourselves while my Mama eat for free. One of the reason why we chose this venue is for that particular reason. LOL! Sorry, Ma. Now you know.

But, we don’t look at it that way. 2 accountants to be (me and bro), did some smart calculations. Instead of paying RM79++ per person, we paid RM68.14 each (in average of 4 persons).

Was invited to participate Songket Restaurant’s 1st anniversary celebration. Being there brought back the memories when I first visited the restaurant, which was a year ago. It felt like I was there yesterday, noming their delicious beef ribs! Oh, how fast time flies~

A lot had happened in 4 years ago. One of it was the passing of my father. Everything happened so sudden and so fast. I couldn’t express my feelings when it all happened. All I did was cry, cry and cry. I felt so useless.

A lot had happened in 4 years ago. One of it was the passing of my father. Everything happened so sudden and so fast. I couldn’t express my feelings when it all happened. All I did was cry, cry and cry. I felt so useless.

One day, I decided to pack my books and cloths and move to KL. To make a different in life. To be a successful person. To achieve my goals. It was a tough decision. I had to change my habits and lifestyle altogether to a place where I am not very familiar.

My family. My friends. They were all so very dear to me. I see them every single day. Eat, drink, play and even exercise with every single one of them almost everyday.

Then, suddenly, I just decided to move away.

I smiled and said that I’m going off to further my studies. Be a Sholar (you know lah.. like those China old movies, the son go to the Mainland to study and be a scholar, come back become officer thing). On a contrary, I just want to get out and move into a new environment. Test myself to see how far I can go (but Mum always makes things easy to get by).

Fast forward, it has been almost 2 years and so much has changed within that time span. My family and friends have changed. I no longer know them as much as I used to, years back. My heart aches knowing that I wasn’t there to share their happiness and hardships.

Sometimes, I did look back and smack the back of my head. You dumbo. You should have just stayed back. To date, you have achieved nothing. Earning a living that’s not even a liveful one.

Truth to be told.

I’ve been running away……from many things.

I wish I could stop the time and freeze the best moments in life.

Oh Happy Day~ Taking the day off from work. Feeling relax and able to do things I’ve always wanted to do. Work has been sucking away my life!

Started to pickup running when I moved to KL. My first run was in 2010. It was my first 10km struggling run! Since then, I joined various runs to build my running stamina :3

Received my race kit for the Energizer Night Race 2012 on Wednesday. It’s my first time having my race kit delivered to my doorstep Safe me all the trouble to travel to the collection venue to collect them

The race kit comes with an striking orange running vest, running BIB, Kiwanis badge, Salonpas sample pack, Salonpas RM5 voucher, Energizer Night Race booklet, and Brooks RM120 rebate voucher.

When I opened up the package, the first thing I did was not take the above pichas, but to try on the vest. :3

The Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain, Scotland

Glenmorangie is a distillery located in the Northern Highland of Scotland named Tain, Ross-shire. It is said that the brand name Glenmorangie comes from the Scots Gaelic Gleann mor na sithe which means ‘valley of tranquility’.

So, what makes Glenmorangie’s Single Malt Scotch Whisky to such a successful brand today and what characteristics distinguish it from other distilleries?

As purveyors of perfection in single malt whisky, Glenmorangie takes pride in going to great lengths to ensure the quality of Glenmorangie whisky; to ascertain that Glenmorangie whisky is “Unnecessarily Well Made”. Afterall, Glenmorangie has been crafting the “Unnecessarily well made” whisky for over 160 years, keeping perfection in mind.

The Glenmorangie Original – Backbone of the Glenmorangie Range

Glenmorangie’s single malt scotch whisky obtains its flavour from the wooden casks used in maturation. Glenmorangie selects the finest oak casks to mature their whisky. Many of Glenmorangie’s bespoke casks are made from white oaks grown on the Ozark Mountains in Missouri, USA.

They are grown slowly over 100 years and seasoned naturally in the open air for two years to preserve their porous texture – a quality that adds to the spirit’s intriguing depth.

Each casks are used one twice to ensure the optimal amount of flavour is extracted into the whisky.

 While there are many perfectly good single malt whiskies made in shorter stills, the Glenmorangie Distillery utilizes swan-necked stills that are the tallest in Scotland.

The stills stand at the height of sixteen feet, ten and one quarter inches (5.14m) high, which is said to be as tall as a giraffe!

 The giraffey stills produces the very lightest and purest vapours make it to the top and condense into spirit, contributing to Glenmorangie’s distinctive complexity and layered flavour.

Tarlogie Springs

Apart from the tools used to produce the perfect single malt scotch whisky, the superiority ingredients also plays a big role in producing the perfect quality of scotch whisky. Glenmorangie uses the local spring water from its own Tarlogie spring and locally grown Scottish barley, combined with the skill of the craftsmen who follow the same, time honoured approach that the company has used throughout its long history, result in a smooth spirit of distinction.

According to Dr Bill Lumsden, there are several ways to enjoy Glenmorangie:

Neat

- To try our whisky neat is to experience it in its purest form, where the complexity of the flavours and aromas is at its fullest intensity.

With Water

-A little water will soften the alcohol, causing a change in the texture and bouquet of the whisky, and revealing further layers of aromas and complexity.

Over Ice
- Adding two or three large rocks of ice to your whisky will close down the top notes that were released with water accentuating instead the base flavours from the oak barrel.
