A recent read over at Bompa’s blog has me thinking I’ve left some cash on the table.

I’ve known about this backlinks source for a while, but have been late telling you about it.

This comes from the feverish minds of Ralph and Dirk, of fantomas fame, the source of shadowMaker, the bar-none best tool for cloaking ever built.

Backlinks. You need them. You can get them. If you need back links on a regular schedule, without building a massive link spamming tool, relief is in sight.

Read this snippet and go have a look. You won’t be sorry you did.

Links! More links! Yet more links!
No more link hunting and begging, no more paying through your nose, no more spammy links featured way out of context – in short: no more link building headaches!

Sign up for our one-of-a-kind 20 Links A Day link building service, and this is what you’ll get:

20-60 fresh inbound links per day
(that’s 600-1,800 per month or 7,200-21,600 per year!), distributed in an organic manner across a vast network that’s constantly being expanded!

links that you will have 100% control over!
(You define your anchor text and embed your links in your own relevant articles – up to three links per article!)

links that are entirely one way!

links that are instantly available!

links that will boost your search engine rankings in an entirely legitimate and organic manner!

links – not to forget – that are the best value for money you can get anywhere!

I like the sound of that. Custom anchor text. Tight control. One way. Continuous growth.

Go take a look and tell me what you think. Here’s the link (outside of the quote, where it’s easy to miss):

My thanks and a tip of the old osoi boshii to Michael Martinez, of SEO Theory fame, for his recent post titled Palindromic SEO makes SEO palindromic. As usual, I get gears turning when I read, and understand, his sometimes offbeat post titles. The potential really didn’t become apparent until later. Well done Michael.

Backlinks Magic with Magic Backlinks

So what is this Backlinks Magic, and what does it have to do with Magic Backlinks? Ya, I’m gonna optimize this post for those terms. It’s a test, so stay with me. OK?

As you are no doubt aware, backlinks are the lifeblood of most websites. Backlinks from trusted pages, with really relevant anchor text, that pass (true) page rank (the juice), are what I call “MAGIC BACKLINKS“.

The Magic part of these backlinks is what they can mean to your position in the serps. I have witnessed the movement of a page from number 17 (in Giggle) to number 4 in only two weeks time. That’s a huge movement in a really short time.

How did this come about, you asked? Quite simply, says I.

Backlinks Magic

Yep, it’s backlinks magic at work. You see, my associate was trying very hard to get his new merchant site ranked. He tried the usual tactics like, link exchanges, directory listings, blog comments, well, you know the list.

His site was fully spidered, all the pages were in the index, but could not get ranked on the first page of Giggle. I was involved with writing articles and submitting them all over the web as well as posting one per day on the site itself.

MSN was pretty impressed, Yahooie was indifferent, Giggle was not impressed. Enter Backlinks Magic.

My friend decided to take a flyer and purchased a site wide link on a (foolbar) pr 8 site. The links were of the text variety and the site used a rotator system so the links had ten or so different, but related, sets of anchor text. That, my friend found out, is real backlinks magic.

The combination of BACKLINKS MAGIC and MAGIC BACKLINKS paid off very, very well.

So, how do you get a site wide backlink from a pr 8 page? Damned if I know. If I did, I wouldn’t have time to write drivel like this.

I suppose the real answer is to make your own source for backlinks magic. Make your very own pr8 page(s) and provide your other sites with magic backlinks. All it would take is one backlink from a pr 9 page. lol, yeah right.

—————–

A few others have been writing about backlinks lately. Not necessarily magic backlinks, and they don’t spell out the backlinks magic formula, but they do have some different ideas you could consider in your backlink building exercises.

Esrun posted about a way to get free pr backlinks a while back. Here is a snippet from that post:

The basic idea is to look for forum posts which already have PR, we then signup to the forum and post a relevant message on the post. After a day or two, we return to the post and edit it to include our link.

The method Esrun outlines doesn’t seem to lend itself to automation, but still ought to provide you some nice backlinks with your choice of anchor text.

Next up is Eli over at BluehatSEO. He has help develop a plugin for WordPress that promises to get you some good backlinks automagically.

Every time you make a post on your blog it grabs similar posts from other blogs that allow pingbacks using the post tags. It then links to them at the bottom of the post as similar posts. It then executes the pingback on all the posts………This creates quite a few deep links for each blog post you make and through time really helps with your link building.

I’m impressed with this idea. I always like the autoloader principle, especially when it comes to backlinks. I haven’t tried the plugin yet, I may get to it soon.

That wraps up another session on backlinks and backlink building.

See you around..

~Dink

P.S. Did I mention that this blog post was gonna be about building magic backlinks so you could enjoy some backlinks magic? rofl.

Ok, so I’m back into the linking thing again. Hardly any webmaster can say that he doesn’t need backlinks. For most webmasters, backlinks that stay where you put them are the most sought after commodity. Makes no difference what color your hat is, you still need backlinks.

Blackhats (usually) need more links -quicker- than than the regular old stick in the mud whitehat spammer. Experienced blackhats will script a solution for dropping links, whether they write it themselves or have someone else do it.

A problem. If there is a known source of backlinks, common blackhats will spam it to death. In a matter of weeks or less.

Forum spam, guestbook spam, bulletin board spam, comment spam, yadayada spam, they’ve all been overworked. They may still work a little, but not like they once did.

So, what’s an honest blackhat to do?

Find other paths to walk, says I.

I know a guy who is a black-hearted blackhat if there ever was one. A consumate programmer, free thinker, and slightly off-beat, but he’s one of the best at this game. I’ll call him ChiefCheese because I haven’t bothered to ask him if it is alright to say things behind his back.

So, what does ChiefCheese have to do with backlinks?, you asked. He knows how and where to get’em, says I.

ChiefCheese writes a slightly bent version of a blog. You’ll see why I say that when you visit his site and read some. Now this blog is more like the sites I used to visit in the ‘olden days’. No style sheet. No images (really should have some pixilated stuff on it). No blogroll. No advertising. Nothing but his thoughts on a lot of diverse subjects.

One of his latest subjects is titled Getting Backlinks Through Popular Clone Scripts. ChiefCheese says some things that should start your gears to turning.

One thing about the blog that you should be aware of: If you find a post that you want to come back to, bookmark it. Else when you go to the index page, you’ll have to go to the end of the post, and click on the previous entry to find what you want.

If you are like me you are always interested in ways (and means) to gather more and better backlinks. You should go read the post I linked to above.

The old blog and ping method of getting a webpage crawled worked wonders. For a while. Everyone and his brother-in-law hammered it until it wasn’t very effective any longer.

The search engines (especially Giggle) stopped treating the blog posts with much love because there were so many blogs full of nothing but markoved spammy text and a bazillion links on each post.

Like our favorite of the past, the MFA site, blog and ping fell out of our toolkit. The biggest reason it got left in the dusty box of yore was because it was difficult to gather up enough good content to post.

So, now that you have a heap of great content, you’re ready to make use of this nifty tool again. Only this time you will do it right and use the blogs to get your page to rank higher in the serps.

When you set up your automated content poster, you’ll want to

<font: color="red">Wait. Wait. Wait.</font:>

What do you mean ‘wait’.

I mean that I don’t have any automated content. Much less a poster.

Aha. Well then, you need both.

What I’m about to tell you about works with WordPress. Both the stand-alone version like this one, and the WPmu install.

I know a guy who perfected a system that gathers and publishes content for WordPress. It is a plugin, so it’s extremely fast and easy to deploy.

What sort of content? Is it the usual garbage? Scrambled, jumbled, markoved, twice translated, junk that I see everywhere?

lol. Nope. As a matter of fact the generated content is as legit as it can be. I mean that it will pass any LSI filter anywhere, anytime. It reads correctly. It has grammar that is right. It is made to be dead on to your keywords. Relevant, on-topic content.

Okay. How much time am I going to spend setting up cron? How much copying and pasting of my articles do I have to do?

None and none. Like I said it is a wp plugin. You install the plugin, visit it from the wordpress dashboard, set a few options, and you’re set. The application will gather the content for you. It will post it to your blog on the schedule that you set.

If you want/need great content for your blog, instant, targeted, automatic, never ending, content; click on the link. You won’t be sorry. I promise.

Hey, that looks like an affiliate link to me. Is it?

Hell yes. You’ve read my other endorsements so you know that I stand by my recommendations. This really is good content.

I’m not about to promote a bunch of clickbank hooie to you guys. This is the real deal.

I started off to tell you how to use blog and ping to get a boost in your rankings but someone used up my allotted time. I’ll have to tell you how to make it work in my next post.

Until then, keep yer powder dry.

Backlinks are the lifeblood of all websites. Even those flaky foss sites have lots of links pointing to them.

Most beginning black hats have a difficult time getting enough of the right kind of links to make it to the first page of serps.

So what are the ‘right kind’ of backlinks?

Those links that include anchor text that is either your key phrase or your product/service name are the right kind of backlinks.

Sure you can send thousands of trackbacks. Hundreds might even stick. Your chances of getting anchor text to stick in a trackback spam campaign are slim to none.

Comment spam can sometimes provide the anchor text rich links you need. The sometimes part of it takes into account that a lot of sites have the ‘no-follow’ attribute turned on, and that the webmaster is sloppy at removing spam.

Sure you can put up your own blogs. You can control the anchor text there. But how many can you maintain? How many are already discounted by the search engines? How good is your automation?

There is a new game in town. A game that will get you the backlinks you need. The right sort of backlinks, with anchor text of your choosing.

You will be able to manage the creation of almost unlimited anchor text rich backlinks. Automagically. How does that sound?

Imagine backlinks that build while you do other things. Like building more income sites. Sound like something you would like to look at?

Dear Diary,

It is with a great deal of sadness that I write these lines tonight. I apologize in advance for the disjointed, maudlin, and rambling text that follows. This the third attempt. The other two are in the cyber rubbish heap. It is very likely that I’ll have to come back and edit this post too. Seems like the tears keep blurring the screen on me. Damn screen anyhow.

I have fortified my interior with a split of wine, so it may be that I can get thru it this time.

Parks’ Styx River
August, 1988 - August, 2008

Yes, I know his real name was Styx. However, that certain little girl couldn’t quite make it come out right. It kept on being Stitch, so we let it ride. Stitch it was.

He didn’t care. As long as she loved him, it was fine whatever she wanted to call him. Loved him she did. She’s sixteen now, and thinks she’s all grown up. Well, she could be all grown up. Who am I to judge things like that. Stitch didn’t care a bit how old she was, or wasn’t. He was just proud to be with her.

Faithful friend. Fierce protector of children. Loving companion. Guardian of the front door (No stranger passed without the OK from within) . Tolerant father. Totally committed to our family. That was Stitch.

Like most dogs that I have known, Stitch didn’t have bad moods. He wasn’t particularly fond of the pestering he took from the various felines, but he tolerated them all.

Stitch was a cute puppy. (He was the first Doxy that our family had been close to. We have had friends or acquaintances who have/had a Doxy or two, but Stitch was our first.) I can still remember the little needles that were his milk teeth. He knew how to use them too. His ears were too long for his head, and his legs were too short for his longish body. Clumsy isn’t a real good word for his daily activities, but it’s very close.

It seems like Stitch grew up over night. I know that’s not possible, but with the passing of years I forget some of the details of his life then. As Stitch approached his middle years, he developed some health problems. The vet was very good and kept us on the right path as far as nutrition and immunizations were concerned.

Now, Stitch didn’t care for the vet shop. Not at all. He always liked to go for a ride with me. Excited to be going, he’d jump up into the floor of the truck and squirm up into the seat so he could face out of the already open window. That first trip to the vet was the last happy trip to the vet for Stitch. I don’t know if it was the smell, the sounds, or just what, but he knew when we got within a block or so of the vet shop. He flatly didn’t like to go there.

Stitch was a man’s dog. He didn’t care if I hadn’t shaved today. He was really happy to lick the salty, oily, sweat from my face when I came in from yard work. He didn’t care if I wore the same shirt two days running. He didn’t care that I had to rebuke him yesterday as long as I petted, and paid attention, to him today. For my part, I didn’t care if he smelled like a dog. I didn’t care if he dug the occasional hole in the yard. I didn’t care if he left his bone under my chair. He was my friend.

Lest you get the wrong idea from that last paragraph, I must tell you that Stitch wasn’t my dog. Stitch belonged to my wife, Jean. And, my wife belonged to Stitch. Stitch was her dog. He knew it. She knew it. And, I knew it. I’m hers too, so what the hell?

In his later years, Stitch had lost his sight and hearing. The vet said that both sets of senses seemed to be working, but the signals didn’t make it to the correct set of synapses. His nose continued to work for a couple of years after he could no longer hear. He tracked himself, and us, with that faithful nose until just the last few months. His sense of smell began to fail in late May or Early June.

Stitch had problems with his joints and spine. A combination of arthritis and rheumatism that plagued him for the last five years. There were times, lately, where we didn’t know if he would be able to stand at all. And, you could tell that he wasn’t pleased with the situation either.

The hair on his head and face began to fade about eight years ago. The progression was slow but inexorable. Much as it has been for me. The relentless, implacable, and merciless deterioration of the physical body is one price we pay for living past the norm. Stitch’s head and muzzle were completely white at the end.

Stitch is buried in the west flower bed. Right beside the Tiger Lily. That Tiger Lily is favored among all of the flowers as Stitch was favored among all the pets. Grandma’s favorites, both.

I promised to paint and decorate the small limestone slab that will be the marker for Stitch. I couldn’t do it today. May not be able to do it tomorrow either. But, I will get it done.

So, diary, now you know some about Styx River. You know more about Stitch though.

I have to close this chapter in my life. There are new puppies to love and care for. They don’t understand our sadness. I hope they never do.

Farewell old friend and stalwart companion. Perhaps you will be waiting when I make the long ride to that happiest of hunting grounds.

I truly hope so.

Fascination with the vagaries of the serp’s has caused me many a sleepless night. I’d bet it has done it’s work on you too. It’s bad enough that we can only make (educated) guesses about the ranking algo’s reaction to a change we make on our page. Now there’s some magic thrown in the mix.

If you’ve been in the optimization business for any length of time, you have witnessed the difference in rankings, for your term, from different locations. I usually attribute the differences to several possible reasons. Chiefly, that there are different data centers involved.

Others that I believe have an effect are: Moon phase, tidal patterns, the delta C in rainfall for the San Fernando Valley, the level of amber liquid in the bottle, and perhaps most important–the number of games of WoW played today.

I just found out yesterday that there is also the possibility of magic being involved. Did I mention that above?

First a little background. Some of you know that I follow the blog posts on SEO Theory. There are several posts there that are related to a difference of opinion between Michael Martinez, of SEO Theory, and Rand Fishkin, of SEOmoz. Now, that may not be precisely true since I haven’t heard Rand say much about the whole deal. In any case, there are some other folks, who I never heard of before, taking one side of the argument, and Michael taking the other.

————
Sidebar

I cannot find one good reason to have two links (on my page) pointing to the same other webpage, but with different anchor text. That’s what the argument is all about…whether Google will pass ‘juice’ with the second link. Why is this important?

/Sidebar
————

About mid-way down in this post, Mr. Martinez told me something that I had never heard of before. The context of the remark is that not all tests are valid, and that if results are not reproducible, the hypothesis is flawed. So, here is the part that got me:

But we don’t all see the same search engine. In fact, I was both amused and frustrated today by the fact that Google AdWords’ keyword research tool shows query numbers for one of my staff but not me. We use the same network to reach out to the Internet. We’re on the same IP address. I see the numbers from home, but didn’t see them at work.

I’ve been on phone calls and have exchanged emails with clients in the same city who have sworn their sites were at position X in the search results (or nowhere to be seen) while I was looking at their sites in position Y. It doesn’t even have to be a different data center (although usually I assume that’s what we’re seeing). Once in a while I find that someone’s PC has magically reconfigured itself to point at a specific IP address for Google. I’ve never figured out how that happens (as it’s NOT happening in a hosts file).

Worth repeating with emphasis…..I find that someone’s PC has magically reconfigured itself to point at a specific IP address for Google.

Magic indeed. So, what does this have to do with anything?

Assume that you have completed extensive SEO work on a website. You’ve done a craftsmanlike job, all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed. After *whatever* time, you see your site in the Google results pages. You check several queries, make adjustments to your pages, see your rank climbing, and are a happy camper. You believe that your target audience will find your page in approximately the same position as you see it …… bzzzzzit, you lose Sparky. It ain’t necessarily so.

What if Mary WorkingMother, from Des Moines, and Joe GolfNut, from Baton Rouge, have had their PC ‘magically reconfigured’? They may not see your page in the results at all.

How many others are there like that? Is there any way we can find out what percentage of all PC’s are so reconfigured? Is this only a Google phenom? Is it browser related?

Shittah. Questions that I can’t answer. Michael, Rand, any of you others, if you can shed more light on this (either here or in your own venue) I would truly be grateful. If it is to be in your venue, please drop me a note here so I can follow along. T.I.A.

Bompa, of Syndk8.net fame, has opened a special boot camp for helping blackhat newbies. If you don’t know Bompa, you should. He has been the special mentor of new blackhats on the forum for a long time.

One of the problems with beginning any web marketing venture is where to get straight advice. Another is the ‘what did I do wrong?’ part. Still another is ‘how does *that* work?

If you want answers to these, and many more, topics, you owe it to yourself to hike over to the Blackhat SEO Boot Camp.

One-on-one coaching. Private tutoring (away from the flames and embarassment). Freebies, scripts, encouragement, and … well just go and see.

A little birdy told me that there are some hidden benefits too.

I am going to GIVE to my first ten members TWO secret locations on the web to obtain almost infinite backlinks.

The backlinks that I am going to GIVE to you are all at least PR3, and most are PR4, with a few PR5s.

You will not have to pay for them. There is no trickery, no cloaking, none of that heavy BH stuff. The only thing BH about getting these quality backlinks will be the automation.

And I am going to GIVE my first ten members the tools to automate the process of getting these infinite backlinks. These are tools that I programmed myself. I have never sold or shared these tools! They are priceless! I have never told a single soul about my secret backlink sources!!!
My first ten members will get good, quality backlinks even while off at the pub or while sleeping. That’s no shit man!

Better get there quick. The number of places will fill up fast.
