The female shark, which was set free last November at a length of just under six feet, was traveling south along Baja California when it became trapped in an unattended gillnet off

The whale sharks off the coast of Mozambique aren't dangerous to humans, but humans are proving to be more and more dangerous to whale sharks. The whale shark is coveted for its large dorsal fin which is often sold to Asian markets as a way to advertise the sale of shark fin soup.

Santa Monica Beach, the place to see and be seen for celebrities who enjoys the sun, the sea, the sand and most specially surfing. Celebrity surfers were warned to stay out of the water after a great white shark was spotted there.

It was because of this that the state of Hawaii instituted a program to hunt and kill tiger sharks if seen in Oahu's outer reef. After this we could count 4,600 sharks hunted in a span of seventeen years.

March 17-- about 700 swimmers that took part in a race Sunday off the coast of Sydney Australia, they seemed oblivious to the danger that was lurking in the sea waters. A hammerhead shark was swimming near them, and another smaller shark was in the water under them.

Adults commonly reach lenghts of 3.3 to 4.3 meters and weigh between 385 - 635 kilograms.

Tiger sharks are gray in color with vertical tiger-like stripe markings which usually fade or disappear in adults. They can also be identified by their characteristic sickle-shaped teeth that are similar in both the upper and
