Bhupen Hazarika dead in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Mumbai hospital

NEW DELHI: Music maestro Bhupen Hazarikapassed away in a Mumbai hospital on Saturday,a hospital spokesperson said.

"It was a multi-organ failure. The end came around 4.30 pm," Jayanta Saha, chief PRO at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital, said.

He was suffering from respiratory and kidney failure. His condition had detoriated significantly in the last few days. His long-time companion and filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi was beside him when he died.

Hazarika's health deteriorated on October 23 after he developed pneumonia. He had to undergo a minor surgery whereby doctors placed a food pipe into his system.

The 86-year-old Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner was undergoing treatment at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital since June 29 after he complained of breathlessness. Ever since he has been confined to his hospital bed.

Perhaps the only living balladeer in the country, composing his own lyrics and music, Hazarika lent his voice to the film "Gandhi To Hitler", where he sang Mahatma Gandhi's favourite bhajan 'Vaishnav jan'.

Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone today described the Buddh International Circuit as one of the best tracks in the world and said that it has lots of interesting elevations that the F1 drivers are going to love.

"I think it is one of the best tracks of the world," Ecclestone, who turned 81 today, told PTI in an exclusive interview.

"The track is simply superb. I would compare the track to Turkey but even more interesting with lots of elevation. This in terms of driving is what F1 drivers love. And I heard none of them complaining about anything.

"In F1 we do everything possible to secure the safety of the drivers and the spectators. I'm also very happy the new circuit in India has been built to conform to our safety requirements," Ecclestone, who was kept busy with a series of meetings on his birthday, said.

Admitting that he had concerns as recently as a fortnight ago about whether India would be ready to stage its inaugural Grand Prix, Ecclestone, however, said that he never actually thought that would it would not be ready.

Marco Simoncelli Dead video in Crash MotoGP Sepang 2011

Sad news came from the Sepang circuit, Malaysia. Italian rider Marco Simoncelli, reportedly died in the collision in the second lap on Sunday afternoon. Simoncelli's death nearly an hour after he was treated by a medical team Sepang.
MotoGP series 17 in Sepang, Malaysia, Sunday (23/10), had to be stopped while in the second round. Marco Simoncelli was stopped racing when the fallen appear motionless, unconscious, and immediately taken to the hospital.

Simoncelli fell, his helmet off, and thrown off his motorcycle struck the driver once dropped Ducati rider Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi. Edward also fell because of his motorcycle hit a moving motor Simoncelli wild, but able to rise. While Rossi although not falling, but was forced off the track. Simoncelli seen motionless.

Mohammad Azharuddin's son Ayazuddin dead

Ayazuddin, son of former cricketer and Moradabad MP Mohammad Azharuddin, succumbed to his injuries suffered in a road mishap on Friday. Ayazuddin was being treated at the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad.

Ayazuddin (19) had sustained critical injuries after a sports bike, which he and his cousin Ajmal-ur-Rahman (16) were riding, skidded off the road at Puppalguda on the Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad on September 11 morning.

Ajmal, who was riding pillion, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Doctors on Tuesday removed the left kidney of Ayazuddin, the son of former cricketer and Moradabad MP, Mohammad Azharuddin.

Ayazuddin had been critically injured in a bike accident on the Outer Ring Road on Sunday in which his cousin Ajmal had died.

Doctors at the Apollo Hospital said that a nephrectomy (removal of kidney) had been performed on Ayazuddin’s left kidney. His condition still remains critical.

Dr Hari Prasad, CEO of Apollo Hospitals, said that Ayaz had been unconscious and his neurologic status continued to be a cause of grave concern. He is being continuously monitored by a multi-specialty team round the clock.

“We have to monitor him hourly and keep a close watch on him,” Dr Prasad said, adding, “He was bleeding continuously from the injury to his left kidney and left nephrectomy was performed on Tuesday morning. His vital parameters are being maintained with supports and he continues to be on ventilator. His status remains critical.”

Dr Prasad said that their worry was that the brain had been deprived of oxygen and blood till the time Ayaz was brought to the hospital.

It is suspected that there might have been significant brain damage due to anoxia during the period. This can be confirmed only after serial neurological tests, he said. The youth’s mother, Naureen, has been in the hospital ever since she flew in from Saudi Arabia.

Azharuddin, meanwhile, has been spending time with Farha, his sister, and with Ayazuddin at the hospital. Farha’s son Ajmal, who was riding pillion, had died in the accident. The number of VIP visitors to the hospital came down on Tuesday.

The ministers, Dr J. Geeta Reddy and Ponnala Lakshmaiah, actor Rajashekar and his wife Jeevitha, were some of the prominent visitorsof the day. Well wishers feel the family can now get some rest and spend time with each other.

Saint Joseph Regional High School is a private, Roman Catholic, college preparatory school for boys, located on a 33-acre (130,000 m²) campus in Montvale, New Jersey. The school operates under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark.^[3] St. Joseph Regional High School was founded in 1962 by the Brothers of Saint Francis Xavier.^[3]

As of the 2007-08 school year, the school had an enrollment of 485 students and 29.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 16.6.^[1]

The St. Joseph curriculum includes an extensive array of Honors and Advanced Placement courses, and has college credit courses available through Saint Peter's College in Jersey City,

The Saint Joseph Regional High School Green Knights participated in Division C of the Northern New Jersey Interscholastic League (NNJIL), until its dissolution following the 2008-09 season. The Green Knights now participate in the Big North Conference in the United Division. The Green Knights have enjoyed a very successful history with athletics, achieving league, county and state titles in football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, golf, ice hockey, and winter and spring track and field athletics in the last two decades.

Fall Sports

SJR offers three varsity fall sports including football, cross country, and soccer. SJR football has been long and still considered a regional powerhouse. The SJR varsity football steam had a streak of seven Non-Public Group 3 titles through the 2005 season. This run however, sadly ended with a close loss to Holy Cross in the first round of the 2006 playoffs. The football team has also had its share of national rankings by USA Today, including #8 in 1995, #11 in 1997, #7 in 1999, and #23 in 2004. SJR has also been ranked #1 in the state in 1995, 1997, and 1999. Other teams have been listed in the nation's top 25 rankings during various parts of the year.^[4]^[5] The Green Knights have won 14 state championships: 1987, 1988, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2009.^[6] SJR
