Really? You call it bakery? Please make it form scratch! The pasta carbonara that I ordered was great. &lt;br /&gt;

Eu fui a Corner Bakery aqui em Salt Lake. O lugar 'e super bonito, mas foi desapontador ver as sobremesas e bolos que sao compradas na Sisco no display. E eles ainda chamam de confeitaria? &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;h4&gt;Dulce de Leche Recipe&lt;/h4&gt;There are a few ways to make Dulce de Leche, and they all give you the same basic result.  I think it's just good to know how to make from scratch in case of emergency-like when your local market runs out, or some other natural disaster. I've declined to include one way to make Dulce de Leche, which is boiling the can of sweetened condensed milk directly and which runs the risk of exploding.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Recipe #1&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;4 cups milk&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 cups sugar&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 teaspoon baking soda&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 Tablespoon vanilla extract&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;Bring the milk to a boil in a heavy bottom sauce pan. Add all other ingredients, being sure to stir the sugar with a whisk until it's completely dissolved.  (Otherwise, your Dulce de Leche will have a gritty consistency-not so good.) Cook on medium low until it turns into caramel, about 2-3 hours.  It should have a rich tan or brown color and smooth texture when done.  Consistency is a matter of taste-some like theirs runnier than others, but test it by spooning some onto the center of a plate.  If it stays without running and making a puddle, it's ready.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;strong&gt;Recipe #2-&lt;/strong&gt; from www.cdkitchen.com&lt;br /&gt;
Fill the bottom of a double boiler halfway with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium for an active simmer. Pour a 14-oz. can of sweetened condensed milk in the top of the double boiler and set it over the simmering water. Don't cover. Every 45 minutes, check the water level and give the milk a stir. Replenish the simmering water with hot water as needed. eu postei as fotos dos cookies com frosting, mas esqueci de colocar a receita do frosting. Frosting é essa parte colorida que está em cima deles e vc pode colocar em bolos também. Só não sei como se chama aí no Brasil. Aqui no USA é frosting. Então se alguém puder me falar o "nominho" dessa massa me avise por favore!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Cream cheese frosting&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 copo de manteiga a temperatura ambiente&lt;br /&gt;
1 pacote ou latinha de cream cheese&lt;br /&gt;
1 colher de chá de baunilha&lt;br /&gt;
3 1/2 copos de açúcar de confeiteiro&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Misture a manteiga e o cream cheese até que fique uma massa. Misture a baunilha. &lt;br /&gt;
Vá colocando o açúcar aos poucos. Voce pode usar uma batedeira em baixa velocidade. ou à mão até que esteja tudo bem misturado.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Se quiser dar cor ao seu frosting é só adicionar colorante para comida. &lt;br /&gt;

I just post a photo of the french onion soup at Facebook, and everybody asked for the recipe, so it's below, everyone! Very easy and it's my favorite soup.&lt;br /&gt;
And now it's starting the winter here in USA, that's the tip!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2 cebolas cortadas em juliana/ &lt;i&gt;2 onions sliced in juliennes&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
2 copos de caldo de carne/ &lt;i&gt;2 cups of beef broth &lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1 copos de caldo de galinha/ &lt;i&gt;1 cup of chicken broth&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1 colher de manteiga ou azeite de oliva a seu gosto/ &lt;i&gt;1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil which you prefer&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1 1/2 de vinho branco ou vinho tinto o que voce tiver mais a mao/ &lt;i&gt;1 1/2 cup of white wine or red wine&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
5 cabecas de alho picadinhos/ &lt;i&gt;chopped garlic&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Tomilho seco picadinho/ &lt;i&gt;dry thyme&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Manjericao seco/ &lt;i&gt;dry basil&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Pao frances em rodelas/ &lt;i&gt;french bread baguette&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Queijo provolone/ &lt;i&gt;provolone cheese&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Numa panela coloque a manteiga ou o azeite para esquentar. Coloque a cebola e alho e deixe fritando ate que a cebola fique transparente. Acrescente o vinho branco ou tinto, deixe evaporar um piuco para incorporar os sabores e acrescente os caldos de carne e galinha. Acrescente o tomilho e o manjericao. Deixe tudo ferver ate que a cebola fique molinha.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Enquanto isso corte o pao em rodelas e leve ao forno para fazer torradas.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Assim que a sopa estiver pronta coloque em tigelas de sopa, coloque as rodelas do pao e por cima o queijo e leve ao forno por uns 15 minutos ou ate que o queijo esteja derretido e dourado.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;In a pan heat the butter or olive oil. Add the onion and garlic and let it cook until the onion is white/ clear. Add the white or red wine, and let it evaporate to get all the flavors, add the beef and chicken broths. Add the thyme and basil. Let it cook until boils and the onions are soft.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;When you wait for the soup, toast the bread in the oven.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;As soon as the soup is ready, out in bowl, put the bread and the cheese over the soup. Put in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melt and gold.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Sei que estou sem postar há tempos. Mas gente, eu estou correndo demais com a Sweet Brigadier. Fazendo várias festas e eventos e está difícil de postar. Mas toda vez quando tenho um tempinho como hoje venho aqui para deixar uma receitinha gostosa!&lt;br /&gt;
Muita gente sabe fazer bolo de cenoura, mas mesmo assim vou postar porque é meu bolo favorito.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;I know it's a long time I don't post anything in here, but I've been busy with The Sweet Brigadier making a lot of catering and truffles. Today I post a carrot cake recipe that's is very different from the ones we find here in USA, and I can bet when you try these one I made you won't eat the american one anymore. It's my favorite cake! Enjoy it!&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3 cenouras grandes picadas/ 3 carrots chopped&lt;br /&gt;
1 copo de óleo/ 1 cup of oil&lt;br /&gt;
3 copos de açúcar/ 3 cups of sugar&lt;br /&gt;
3 ovos/ 3 eggs&lt;br /&gt;
3 cops de farinha de trigo/ 3 cups of all purpose flour&lt;br /&gt;
1 colher de sopa de fermento em pó/ 1 teaspoon of baking powder&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Pré aqueça o forno a 180 C. No liquidificador bata bem os 4 primeiros ingredientes: cenouras, óleo, açúcar e ovos. Transfira para uma tigela e acrescente a farinha e o fermento misturando bem. Coloque a massa em uma forma untada, e leve ao forno por cerca de meia hora, checando sempre. Espete um garfo, se ele sair limpo o bolo está pronto, se sair com massa grudada deixe mais um pouco.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Preheat the oven 350 F. In a blender, blend well he first 4 ingredients: carrots, oil, sugar and eggs. Put in a bowl and add the flour and baking powder. Butter a cake pan e put in the oven about 30 minutes, checking constatly. Use a fork or a sticker to stick the cake. If the stick comes out clean the cake is ready, if not, let it bake for couple more minutes.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Para a calda de chocolate/ &lt;em&gt;chocolate sa&lt;/em&gt;uce:&lt;br /&gt;
8 colheres de achocolatado em pó / 8 teaspoons of chocolate powder&lt;br /&gt;
8 colheres de açúcar/ 8 teaspoons of sugar&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 copo de água/ 1/2 cup of water&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Nossa um tempinho que não escrevo aqui, mas estou super na correria. Estou com 2 grandes festas este mês onde vou cozinhar toda a comida... uma para 300 pessoas e outra para 35, a primeira é de casamento e a segunda de criança, então tem várias coisas que tem ser feitas uma a uma. &lt;br /&gt;

sal e pimenta do reino/ &lt;em&gt;salt and pepper&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
200 ml de creme de leite fresco/ &lt;em&gt;1 cup of heavy cream&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1 colher de sopa de mostarda amarela/ &lt;em&gt;1 tablespoon of yellow mustard&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1 colher de sopa de mostarda de grão inteiro/ &lt;em&gt;1 tablespoon of whole grain mustard&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
arroz branco para acompanhar/ &lt;em&gt;white rice on the side&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Em uma panela coloque a cebola para fritar na manteiga, adicione o frango, deixe fritar até que o frango esteja cozido. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;In a pan, sauteé the onions with the butter. Add the chicken and let it cook.&lt;/em&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Adicione o sal, a pimenta e o manjericão. Adicione o creme de leite fresco e deixe que levante fervura. Adicione as mostardas e mexa bem. Sirva sobre o arroz.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Add the salt, pepper and basil. Add the heavy cream e let it get boil. Add the mustards e mix well.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Serve over the rice.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

fiz um risoto de frango ontem maravilhosoooooo!!! E ai resolvi postar a receita que é super fácil você nao precisa gastar muito para fazer esse delicioso prato!&lt;br /&gt;
Para acompanhar um vinho tinto, ou um martini!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Ingredientes:&lt;/strong&gt; (rendimento 4 pratos)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Arroz arbóreo &lt;br /&gt;
1 peito de frango&lt;br /&gt;
azeite&lt;br /&gt;
alho e cebola picados&lt;br /&gt;
coentro, salsinha e cebolinha picadinhos &lt;br /&gt;
1/2 copo de queijo parmesão&lt;br /&gt;
vinho branco (pode ser o mais barato)&lt;br /&gt;
caldo de galinha&lt;br /&gt;
1 pitada de pimenta do reino&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Modo de preparo&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Coloque para fritar o alho e a cebola no azeite. Em uma panela coloque 2 cubos de caldo de galinha com 1 litro e meio de água para ferver. Cortar o frango em cubinhos e colocar na panela para fritar com o alho e a cebola. Assim que estiver cozido, adicione o arroz arbóreo. Refogue, e adicione o coentro a salsinha, a cebolinha e a pimenta do reino. Adicione uma concha de caldo de galinha ao arroz. Mexa. Deixe a água secar um pouco e adicione mais caldo. Repita esse processo até que o arroz esteja cozido al dente.&lt;br /&gt;
Adicione um copo de vinho branco e deixe secar. Finalize com o queijo parmesão e sirva em seguida. Decore com uma folhinha de salsinha.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Ingredients: (makes 4 plates)&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Risotto rice (arboreo)&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;1 chicken breast&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Olive oil&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;cilantro, parsley, green onions chopped&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;1/2 cup of parmesan cheese&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;white wine&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;chicken broth&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;1 pinch of black pepper&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Preparing:&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Put the onion and garlic to fry on the olive oil. In another pan, put 2 cubes of chicken broth with 5 cups of water to boil. Cut the chicken in cubes and put in the pan to fry with the garlic an onion. When it's cooked add the risotto rice, cilantro, parsley and green onion, Stir it. Add one laddle of the chicken broth. Let it dry, and add it again. Until the rice is cooked al dente. Add 1 cup of white wine and let ir cook until dry. Finish with parmesan cheese.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Mas essa receita, sem ovo, fica tão gostosa quanto a antiga e pode ser usada em sanduíches, saladas, e como sua imaginação inventar.&lt;br /&gt;
Se você gosta de maionese caseira essa é a receita, gentilmente cedido&amp;nbsp;por um casal de amigos super querido, Daniel e Pamela, que fizeram hoje aqui em casa com a gente aquele churrasco delicioso, e uma costela no bafo que há muito tempo não comia uma tão boa!!!&lt;br /&gt;

Então segue:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1 copo de leite&lt;br /&gt;
1 colher de sopa de sal&lt;br /&gt;
salsinha e cebola&lt;br /&gt;
óleo de soja&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Coloque o leite no liquidificador o leite e o sal. Vá adicionando o óleo em fio, bem devagar até o leite encorpar. Adicione a salsinha e a cebola e está pronta.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ideal para salada de maionese com batatas.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;1 cup of milk&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;1 tablespoon of salt&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;parsley and onion&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;soy oil&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Put in a blender the milk and salt. Start adding the oil very slow until the milk get thick. Add the parsley and onion. It's ready to serve.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Mudando de assunto... Semana passada fiz uma receita de peixe com camarão que ficou uma delíciaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.. então segue a receita:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4 postas de tilápia ou peixe de sua preferência&lt;br /&gt;
vários camarões&lt;br /&gt;
1 limão&lt;br /&gt;
coentro, cebolinha e salsinha&lt;br /&gt;
sal e pimenta do reino&lt;br /&gt;
4 colheres de sopa molho de tomate&lt;br /&gt;
alho e cebola&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Frite o alho e a cebola. Acrescente as tilápias e os camarões. Deixe fritar. Esprema o limão por cima. Acrescente o coentro&amp;nbsp;(quanto mais melhor), cebolinha e a salsinha picadinhos. Acrescente o molho de tomate e deixe em fogo médio até levantar fervura. Acrescente um pouquinho de água para o molho não ficar muito grosso.&lt;br /&gt;
Sirva com arroz branco.&lt;br /&gt;

1 kg de farinha de trigo&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;/&amp;nbsp; &lt;em&gt;4 cups of all purpose flour&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
650 g de manteiga sem sal ou margarina&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;/ &lt;em&gt;1 1/2 cup of no salt butter&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
3 ovos / &lt;em&gt;3 eggs&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
125 g de fermento em pó / &lt;em&gt;1 tablespoon of baking powder&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Misture a manteiga, com os ovos, acrescente a farinha e o fermento até obter uma massa homogênea. Embrulhe em um plastico e deixe descansar em geladeira.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Mix the butter with eggs, add the flour and baking powder to get a very smooth dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and reserve in the fridge.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

0.5 Kg de açúcar / &lt;em&gt;2 1/2 cups of sugar&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
300 ml de água/ &lt;em&gt;1 cup of water&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
6 claras em neve/ &lt;em&gt;6 white eggs&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
5 gramas de gelatina diluida em 15 ml de água/ &lt;em&gt;1.7 ounces of gelatin diluted in 5.7 fl ounces of water&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Faça uma calda com o açúcar e a água, deixe o açúcar dissolver até que vire um líquido brilhante transparente, deixe cozinhando por mais uns 8 minutos até o ponto de fio. &lt;br /&gt;
Bata as claras em neve, assim que estiver firme vá adicionando a calda devagar ( se adicionar de uma vez, como a calda está quente irá cozinhar a clara).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Make a syrup with the sugar and water, let the sugar dissolve completly until get a very shine transparent liquid. &lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Mix the egg whites to get them totaly whipped and start to&amp;nbsp;add the syrup slowly. Do not add all at once because it's going to cook the egg whites.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
1 lata de leite moça / &lt;em&gt;1 can of condensaded milk&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1/2 lata de suco de limão/ &lt;em&gt;1/2 can of lime juice&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1 lata de creme de leite sem soro/ &lt;em&gt;1 can of heavy cream&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Coloque todos os ingredientes em um panela e mexa em fogo baixo até obter um creme firme.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Mix all the ingredients in a sauce pan, low heat, until you get a firm cream.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Montando a torta / &lt;em&gt;Building the pie&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Espalhe a massa pelo fundo e laterais de uma forma. Faça furinhos com um garfo para que a massa não cresça. Em um forno pré aquecido, asse-a por aproximadamente 20 minutos a 150oC.&lt;br /&gt;
Retire do forno acrescente o recheio de limão e o merengue por mais uns 10 minutos, ou até que o merengue esteja dourado. &lt;br /&gt;
Deixe esfriar e leve a geladeira.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Open the dough in a cake pan. Make little holes with a fork all over, this way the dough&amp;nbsp;won't grow. Bake it in an oven at 350oF for about 20 minutes.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;Take out of the oven and add the Lime filling and the merengue, then bake it more 10 minutes, or until get the meringue gold. - 300g de farinha de trigo peneirada&amp;nbsp; / 1 cup of sift flour&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- 1 colher (chá) de sal / 1 teaspoon of salt&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- 125g de manteiga ou margarina / 1/2 cup of butter&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

- 375ml de iogurte natural / 1 1/2&amp;nbsp;cup of natural yogurt&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- 200g de ricota fresca passada pela peneira / 1 cup of sifted ricotta&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- 100g de queijo&amp;nbsp;parmesão ralado no ralo grosso/ 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- 200g de presunto picado / 1 cup of chopped ham&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
-200g de Bacon picado/ 1 cup of chopped bacon&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- 2 ovos grandes (60 g cada) / 2 whole eggs&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- 1 colher (chá) de açúcar refinado / 1 teaspoon of sugar&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- sal, pimenta do reino a gosto / salt, black pepper&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- 2 colheres (sopa) de cebolinha verde bem picada , manjericão, coentro e salsinha./ 2 tablespoon of green onions, basil, cilantro and parsley chopped.&lt;br /&gt;

Misture os ingredientes secos e a manteiga em uma tigela grande e esfarele com as mãos até obter uma farofa úmida. Junte o iogurte natural e amasse delicadamente até a massa ficar lisa, macia e homogênea. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mix all the dry ingredients and the butter in a bowl, until you get some crumbles. Add the yogurt and mix to get a very&amp;nbsp;soft dough.If the dough is stiking continue adding flour. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Bata no liquidificador ou no processador o iogurte, a ricota e o queijo até obter um creme liso e brilhante. Em uma bowl , acrescente os demais ingredientes, misturando delicadamente. Prove o tempero e reserve.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In a blender, combine the yogurt, ricotta and the parmesan&amp;nbsp;cheese to get a soft and shiny cream. In&amp;nbsp; a bowl add to this cream the other ingredients. Taste and reserve.&lt;br /&gt;

MONTAGEM&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Com o rolo, abra&amp;nbsp;a massa&amp;nbsp;e forre fundo de uma assadeira untada, de preferencia aquelas que tem fundo falso. Fure o fundo com o garfo e espalhe o recheio. Asse em forno pré-aquecido a 200°C até que a superfície esteja ligeiramente dourada. Sirva quente.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Open the dough and put in a grease round pan . On the top of that, drop the filling. Bake in a pre heated oven, 350 F, until gets a gold surface. Sirve hot.&lt;br /&gt;
