The 'new' cool cat in town, Th e Proxy is responsible for song above (dance in the dark). It was played by Mr. Oizo a while ago on the Ed Banger label night at Silo (Leuven). Da Funk

This thursday, the 13th of march, Da Funk will take place. Cocktails are 3 euros before 23.3Oh and beers only cost 1,5 euros all night long. All deejays have confirmed and all surprises have been bought. The 2 tickets for Snowworld Landraaf are also awaiting a new owner. Do visit the Da Funk site for more info and pre-sale tickets.

From one logo to another... I'm very proud to announce that in 2008 the first 'DaFunk' parties will be organised in Leuven. This new party concept will offer you banging parties starring fresh new (myspace) talents longside Belgium's finest deejays around.

The first edition will take place on the 13th of march at Rumba&Co (Oude Markt). The line-up is: dj Cole (newest member of the discobar galaxie gangbang soundsystem), Gtronic (a fresh new talent from Antwerp), TRSHMSTR (another talent from Antwerp) and Mophito (myself).

Prior to this event we (Rindert Dalstra and myself) decided to organise a smaller Pre(and Free)Party at the Esperança located above cafe Alegria (Oude Markt). This night will take place on the 14th of february. We're still working on some deejays that are prepared to come and play for free so let us know if you're up for this...

Hey everyone,

we're very proud to announce that our first Discosluts logo is a fact! It has been printed on quite a few stickers and they will be distributed at our gigs. Along with this we're currently working on our website and recording quite a few mash-ups.

It's been calm on this blog for the past months but this will all change for the better in 2008. It will be regularly updated with the same sh*t as it used to aaand in addition our very own podcasts will be vailable here and THERE to put on your Ipod (or whatever it is you use).

So see you people soon and enjoy the last days of this year!!

One of the most talented jungle crews of belgium is planning a tour in America that starts next week. They kick off in NY then off to Toronto, San Antonio, Houston to end their trip in Austin. These lads master crazy production skills and just know how to rock the dancefloor with their wicked remixes and superb dubplates (Definately check 'sparkplug dub'). I witnessed the beginning of Wim in his little room in Leuven and visited his parties ever since.

Bélgica no Mundo

On september the 15th I will be dj'ing at the afterparty of a capoeira-event at Duisburg. The goal of the event is to raise money for mobile schools in Brasil. During the day there are capoeira work-shops for beginners provided by real capoeiristas. In the evening there is a dinner and an afterparty. You should all come to support this initiative and just to have a good time.

Since we are ever more searching for places to play we decided to have ourselves a little contest. It's very simple: Post pictures or movies you made of us (while we were dj'ing) at some place on youtube or some other site that people can visit. Send us an E-mail with the url were we can find the picture or movie, your name and your adress. The winners will be posted on this blog and will recieve a friendly mail from us thanking them.

The two people who made the nicest photo or video will receive a free duo-ticket for the 21st of september where we will be playing after a live show by Shameboy (gotta love his new single 'splend it'). This will take place in Tervuren but more details will follow...

What a great summer ...

After a long holiday in july we had the chance to go to some festivals and clubs. Despite of the pretty crappy weather we saw amazing live shows and dj's like The Prodigy, SebastiAn, Justice, Boys Noize, Goose, Booka Shade, Dr. Lektroluv, Erol Alkan ... rock the crowd.

We just finished some small gigs in august and are really looking forward to some bigger events in september and ... This weekend we have the HO-gig which we will try to record entirely so hopefully we will be able to post some demo stuff online soon.
