Speed symbol of tire indicates the maximum speed of the car tire that is capable of use. It was developed to identify the maximum speed of tire against the top speed of the car where it will be installed. However tire manufacturers do not recommend using the tire beyond the speed limit required by the law.

When choosing a replacement tire for your car it is important that the speed symbol of the original tire that is installed on your car should also be consider. The tire speed rating was stamped on the sidewall of a tire. If you look closer to the sidewall of the tire you will find a symbol similar to the picture shown.

The tire speed symbol is located just after the tire load index symbol, as in the case of the picture above the speed rating for this tire is indicated by letter H, and if we look at the speed symbol from the table for speed rating equivalent speed value, we can determine that the equivalent value for letter H is 210 kph, in this case this mean that the tire should not be operated beyond the specified speed rating of 210 kph.

To remove such lubricants you need to have at least 500 miles of easy acceleration braking and cornering.
