Heading Out of Town

I know I just started with this site, but I wanted to get it up and running before I headed out of town. I am going on a cruise and can't wait. We are going to be taking this cruise with some friends of ours. I thought if I got the site up and going, then it wouldn't be so bad when I get back. I can just start my research and not have to worry with all the bells and whistles it takes to make a site. So, definitely check back with me....I'll be returning to work on November 9th.

Trying Cents Off

I was searching around earlier this week for some place that you could find just the coupons you are looking for. I came across a place called Cents off. I haven't give it a try yet, but I plan on doing that this upcoming week. They have been in business since 1998 and apparently it was the first online coupon delivery service. From what I understand, you login to their site and can search by keyword or category. You can chose from 50 or more coupons and then check out once you have set up and account. They will gather your coupons and mail them out to you. There is a one time $7.50 membership fee and each time you place an order for coupons, there will be a shipping fee, but from what I can see, you will still be saving tons of money using their service. The amount I save in the end is definitely what I am interested in. Oh and if you're interested, they provide grocery coupons as well as restaurant and other store coupons. I'll let you know how well I do.

When I first started using coupons, I was thinking to myself, "Is it really worth it?" I can answer that honestly today, "Yes!" I can't begin to tell you how much money I have saved our family over the years, but until this past year, I didn't realize how much it really does help. I don't care what other people in the store think about my coupons. I know I am the smart one because I am saving tons of money, while they just through it out the window. In fact, my saving money and using coupons has now become one of my favorite hobbies. What could be any better than enjoying a hobby that saves you money instead of spending it? I hope with these coupon tips, I can help you be on your way to saving money too.

First, let start with a list of places you can get your coupons:

The Sunday Paper
Magazines
Junk Mail
Store Websites

Using Store or Frequent Buyer cards that you register with at stores.

Next, what are you going to do to stay organized with all these coupons? My favorite is a 3-ring binder with baseball card holders. This may not work for you, but it works so much better than a card file system for me. If you decide on the 3-ring binder, then you will want to make labels or tabs for each section. I also include subcategories in mine, but this is not necessary until your book starts to grow. The sections I have in mine are:

First of all, on the top menu bar, it is fairly self-explanatory. The Home button will take you back to the main front page of the site. About me is all about me, and the Email Me button is your way of emailing me personally for any reason or question.

Now if you would like to subscribe to Discount Drama's RSS feed, you can do so by clicking "Post RSS" on the far right of the top Menu Bar. Or you can enter your email address in the "Subscribe to Blog Post" Box in the right column of the blog and all my post will be delivered to your inbox.

In the right hand column of the blog, you will notice up near the top, I have an advertisers section. If you have a business you would like to advertise, then don't hesitate to contact me for pricing and further details.
