Every writer encounters an article they just can’t seem to get right. Either there’s something wrong with the idea or there’s a particularly troublesome paragraph which ruins the entire flow. To make things even more problematic, writers almost never come across exactly the same problem. There’s nearly always some quirk to each issue which makes writing the article so frustrating. What follows is a list of the most common problems and how to rectify them.

Reading Past the Title

If you’ve ever read an article online or in a newspaper you probably know the value of a good title. Readers simply don’t read any further than the title if it doesn’t hook them in. Pick a title which answers a potential problem, or reveals something you may have never known before. If it isn’t going to change someone’s view or enhance their thoughts there’s little point in reading an article. Powerful words and alliteration work to grab the reader’s attention.

A rule of thumb is if you don’t find your title interesting they won’t either.

Cold and Numb

Writing extremely general articles doesn’t draw anybody in. Make your tone warm and speak to the reader as if they are the only person in the room. It helps to capture the attention and makes them feel included. If you are talking to them directly what you’re saying is more likely to resonate.

Planning

No newspaper or major online publication publishes something which was written in about ten minutes. Every good piece of work requires planning to get right. Plan out your great article and highlight the most important points. You might find some of your points contradict themselves or weaken the article as a whole. Having everything set out in front of you lets you catch problems before your editor does.

Get to the Point

Don’t spend multiple paragraphs setting the scene. This isn’t a novel. You only have a limited amount of space. Allude to your main point in the opening paragraph. Make it clear what the piece is about. This informs the reader and assures them they want to keep going. But don’t let this catch you out, stick to the point. If your introduction says you are going to focus on something you must focus on it.

Tailor your planning, writing, and proofreading to the target audience. If your audience is a community of intellectuals, break out your fancy vocabulary. There’s no need to waste time on simplifying everything here.

In terms of planning this can also impact the points you make. In a 500-word article the writer only has a limited amount of space to make their points. In the case of a community of intellectuals you can assume some things. You don’t have to waste time reiterating the subject’s background since they already understand it. Just launch into the meat of your article and save the scene setting for another time.

Ask for Help

For your articles you should really use independent grammar checking tools, or even a proofreading service. These pieces of software aren’t necessarily the most accurate in the world, but they are handy for catching out the more common errors. Also, it’s always worth giving the article to a trusted friend or colleague. Even if they don’t understand the actual subject they can point out any mistakes you might have missed. Don’t rely on your editor to catch these things because they might simply throw it in the bin if there are too many basic errors.

Poor grammar and basic spelling mistakes can kill any good article.

With Windows 8 available to download and purchase, Microsoft wants its users to tell their friends about Windows 8. And what better way than Facebook. Microsoft has a Facebook app that generates an image of the new start screen using your Facebook information, and this image can be used as your cover photo. You don’t need to be running Windows 8 for the app but you can get a customized Metro start screen as your Facebook cover picture.

Creating the cover pic is a simple one-click process with the app doing most of the work. Once a cover has been created, you have the option of changing any of the pictures and the color:

In this post I am discussing about the basic tips which will help you to improve your blog visitors if considered while posting new post in your blog.

1. posting provoking and useful contents
The content plays a vital role in increasing your blog/site traffic. Until and unless you provide the visitor with provoking and useful content, they won’t visit your site later (Always keep in mind that why should I visit your blog if you don’t provide me good post and don’t satisfy me with your content?) So, instead of focusing on other things of your blog, first focus on content and try to provide extra-ordinary and useful content.
But in the name of providing provoking content don’t copy the post of another writer. Copying articles from other may increase your blog traffic for short period but once your reader discover the source of article, they will navigated towards the original site which will affect you in Long Run. While writing new articles do a lot of research and try to award your blog visitors with something unique considering the followings things to make reader’s friendly content.

·        Use Headings,
·        Use Bulleted Lists,
·        Use keywords and Description regularly,
·        selectively bold or emphasize keywords, and
·        Include images in the body of your post.

2. Using Different Tracking Tools

There are lots of tracking tools like Google Analytics, clicktale, sitemeter etc.The careful use of this different tracking tool may be boon for your blog to improve your traffic status. Almost every blog use this tracking tools (Most of them generally use Google analytics) to track their visitors and their needs. Use of these different tracking tools may help you to indentify the visitors need so that you could tailor your article to fulfill their needs and satisfy them.

3. Using Simple and Neat Layout
Whenever you visit to the blog having great page rank and traffic, you will notice the use of Unhapazard, neat and simple layout. Some of them may have hired professional and freelancer for designing their templates but you don’t need  to hire any professional to design your template, you can just modify the existing free layout.

Timeline gives you an easy way to rediscover the things you shared, and collect your most important moments. It also lets you share new experiences, like the music you listen to or the miles you run.
Starting today, timeline is now available everywhere. Here are some tips to help you get started.

7-day review period
When you upgrade to timeline, you'll have seven days to review everything that appears on your timeline before anyone else can see it. You can also choose to publish your timeline at any time during the review period. If you decide to wait, your timeline will go live automatically after seven days. Your new timeline will replace your profile, but all your stories and photos will still be there.
If you want to see how your timeline appears to other people, click the gear menu at the top of your timeline, and select "View As." You can choose to see how your timeline appears to a specific friend or the public.

Feature or hide stories
As you explore your timeline, you may see stories that you want to feature, like your graduation or the day you bought your first car. There might also be stuff that you want to remove or hide from your timeline.
To feature something on your timeline, roll over the story and click the star to expand it to two columns. Or you can click the pencil to hide, delete or edit a post.

Use the privacy dropdown to adjust who can see any of your posts. You can even select "Only Me" for posts you want to keep but don't want others to see.

See all your activity
With timeline, now you have access to a new tool called Activity Log. Your activity log is a place where you can review all your posts and activity, from today back to when you first started using Facebook. Only you can see your activity log.
You'll see two dropdown menus next to each story in your activity log. The first lets you see and adjust the privacy of a post. The second lets you decide if you want the post to appear on your timeline. You can feature, hide or delete any of your posts.
To quickly find a certain type of story, click the "All" dropdown at the top of your activity log and select what you're looking for. For example, you can choose to see only photos or posts from apps.

Starting today, timeline will also be available on Android and m.facebook.com.

Nepal Telecom to launch a Social Networking site (www.chautari.ntc.net.np)

With just the recent launch of Google's own social networking site Google+ to competer with rival facebook. for the King of social networking, Nepal Telecom has also announced to launch a Social Networking site named 'CHAUTARI.' As of today, when we tried to log into http://chautari.ntc.net.np/ it says 'Website is under Construction'.But according to Saroj Kumar Shakya, Nepal telecom's deputy manager at Information and Technology directorate , Chautari is currently in the phase of internal testing and will go online soon.The site is claimed to be similar to facebook and twitter.

The main reason for launching this website is the problem of Bandwidth consumed by facebook. It has been found that most of the Nepali internet user opens facebook as soon as they are online and surf other sites keeping facebook open. Due to this vary reason the facebook is consuming maximum bandwidth. Lately NTC added 3GB bandwidth but that has also been rapidly consumed by facebook due to which the internet has become very slow. Facebook has also been banned with the NTC office. Though the server of Facebook, MySpace, and twitter is in united state, the server of chautari.ntc.net.np will be in Nepal and this will drastically reduce the bandwidth consumption.

Chautari will have every facility that is provided by the Facebook. It includes- Chatting, making friends, making groups, sharing photos and information’s etc. Apart from this there will be a added feature especially for NTC user .NTC user can send 10 free SMS daily. In the initial phase it will have the capacity of 10 lakh user and it will be increased accordingly in future. It is said that the site is in experimenting phase within the NTC employee .

Hope this new social networking site will be popular and liked by all nepali user and the bandwidth consumption will be reduced.

Definitely it was jobs’ Apple, the one which he had established in collaboration with his friend in his parents (not biological) garage at his 20’s, later which grew into a $2 billion company with over 4,000 employees in just 10 years.

Although it will be like beggars description, this article is moving around his journey of life from childhood to Manhood.

Jobs’ biological mother was young, unwed college graduate student who decided to put him for adoption. Inspite of her desire of adoption of the baby Jobs by a college graduate, she relented baby Jobs only a few months later when his under graduated parents made a promise that he would someday go to college.

At 17 he went to Reed College. As he had no idea what he wanted to do in his life and how college was going to help him to figure it out, he dropped out of the college. After that he took a calligraphy class where he learnt about serif and san-serif typefaces, about varying the amount of spaces between different combinations which fascinated him a lot.

Later he utilized that historical and artistically subtle serif and san serif typefaces in designing Macintosh computer, the first computer having multiple typefaces (which established the company).

Due to the dispute, he got fired at the age of 30 from the company which he had started and established. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness and turned him to a beginner, less sure about everything.

Without losing his faith and guts, he started a company named NeXT, another company named Pixar which went on to create the world’s first computer animated film, Toy Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. In a remarkable turn of events, Apple bought NeXT and he again returned to Apple in 1996.

In the year 2004 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. After a long battle with pancreatic cancer Jobs, the man known for minimalist design and marketing genius left the world raising a question in my mind if anyone can continue the impressive legacy of innovation created by Steve Jobs or not?? May his departed soul rest in peace..

How to Add a Comments Counter Bubble to Blogger

Generally In many of the blogs we can see a bubble like comment counter to display the number of comment made in that post by the readers or visitors which will also encourage the visitors to comment on your blog and also help to highlight the credibility of your articles.

In this blog post I am going to share my trick about installing the comment counter on your blog.You can see the lime demo of the comment counter on my blog.To add the comment counter in your blog,just follow the steps given below which will help you to install fully clickable comments counter button on the same line as post title in blogger.This comment counter is right aligned by default.(If you wish to make it Left aligned just change red marked Right with left in Css Portion)

The following steps will insert a fully clickable comments counter button on the same line as the post title in Blogger. The comments counter is right aligned by default.

1. Sign in to blogger

2. Go to design>Edit HTML

3. Find the given tag (press ctrl + F to open the find box and copy the code to find box for quick finding)

How to add 3 columns footer to blogger (split the footer into 3 columns)??

Although the templates provided by blogger has the feature of the 3 column footer but if you use the templates other than blogger templates,It may not have footer column or may only contain one or two columns footer template.

In this Tutorial I am going to share a trick about splitting the blogger footer into 3 columns.For this simple tweak follow the given steps below:
