Meredith & Aaron: April 14, 2012

It wouldn’t be a Spring wedding in St. Louis without rain and Meredith and Aaron had their fair share! Fortunately, we were lucky enough to have the rain stop right before their April 14th wedding ceremony and the sun came out just in time to take some amazing photos!

Meredith and Aaron live in New York City and hired Dishy to help plan and coordinate their wedding. And let me tell you, it was quite a fun wedding to be a part of! Meredith was able to incorporate her life working in music into the small details of their wedding and the coral and seafoam colors popped out from every angle! And did I mention the flowers?! AH-MAZING!

My favorite part of the wedding had to be best man speech where he noted that Aaron was following in the Schump family tradition of marrying a woman out of his league – a true testament to a fun loving couple with a tremendous sense of humor! I love my my job!

Wedding Bouquets We Love!

Spring is in the air and so are flowers, lots of them! And now that wedding season is in full swing in St. Louis, we are just loving all of the different types of bouquets we’re seeing, especially when it means brides begin to think outside of the box and shy away from the traditional bouquets filled with roses. New Dishy Headshots!

Happy April! Happy Spring! AND, of course, happy wedding season! It’s been a while since we’ve had any headshots taken so I reached out to the lovely and super talented Lisa Hessel for a little help! On a lovely March spring day, Amanda, Lisa and I headed out to Forest Park for what turned out to be some amazing photos! So I thought I’d share a few! Great modeling, eh?

Jaci & Jon: March 24, 2012

First off, I think everyone knows how much I adore weddings. But when I have the opportunity to work with good friends, who also happen to work in the wedding industry, my mind us utterly blown. Such was the case with Jon and Jaci Spindler. I can’t even begin to put into words how honored I was that they asked me to help out with their wedding day. Two amazing friends of mine found each other, fell in love, and I got to be there to not only witness it but help pull it all together in the end. WOW. How lucky could I be, right?!?!

Now what made this wedding extra extra special was that is was a complete SURPRISE to the attendees. That’s right! Everyone thought they were attending an engagement party prior to Jaci and Jon heading off for their destination wedding in Bora Bora. Keeping my lips sealed for months was brutal but seeing the sheer delight and surprise on everyone’s face was priceless.

I know Donnell and Joanna are busy pulling photos together but I wanted to share some of the amazing shots they’ve already posted for the world to see! Let the swooning begin…

Jaci and Jon pulled together a rock star team of vendors for their wedding day and I think each deserves a special thank you and shout out for doing such amazing work.

A 2012 Grammy Fashion Recap

Unless you were under a rock (or strategically planning your Valentine’s Day) on Sunday night, you probably caught a part of all of the 2012 Grammy Awards. As a whole, I thought the show was pretty darn good. Memorable performances by Adele, Jennifer Hudson and The Civil Wars far overshadowed the more odd ones, ehem Niki Minaj. And touching shout outs and prayers for Whitney Houston (RIP) kept me on the verge of tears. Yes I said that. I love Whitney!

And when it came to fashion for the evening, the stars did not disappoint! Sparkles and plunging necklines ruled the red carpet! Here are just a few of my faves from the evening. Hope you enjoy!

And of course, I just had to post the photo of these two little girls. Yay for the rap sensation Sophia Grace! I’ve been in love ever since I saw them perform on the Ellen Show!

It’s a new year, time for a new post on a still-hot subject. This time it’s a refresher on photobooths in St. Louis! Will Award Show Trends Hit Weddings?

The 2012 award season kicked off last night with the always hilarious (thanks Ricky Gervais) and trend-setting Golden Globes. As usual, the fashion did not disappoint and I wanted to share photos from People Magazine’s Golden Globe Trends! Will we see these start to play themselves out into weddings for 2012? I definitely think so…and some we are already!
