"The Asturian composer and musician Jorge Granda has been composing and recording for several months the music for his twelfth album, entitled ECHOES, and which will be published on March 23, 2023 in physical format (CD Limited Edition, signed and numbered ) as well as on the main digital Internet platforms. Recorded during the months of September and October 2022, at LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial (Gijón) as part of the II Call for Artist Residencies 2022 and published by the author of In a self-produced way, this new album presents up to 7 new original songs that advance throughout 30 minutes of ambient music influenced by minimalist authors of very diverse nature and origin, such as Brian Eno, Manuel Göttsching, Vangelis, Klaus Schulze o Jean-Michel Jarre Marking his own style and playing up to 5 instruments (electric guitar, acoustic, electric bass, keyboards and programming) he achieves a unique musical discourse, which manages to combine facets of a traveling musician with the rigor and methodology of the British ambient, thus oscillating between the contemporary soundtrack, krautrock and the best of the New Age. In addition, during the album recording process, the musician would record a documentary published on different YouTube channels about the technology used during the recording. The album will be presented in two radio show cases with live music, the first will be broadcast on April 12, 2023 from Radio Relativa (Madrid) and the second will be broadcast on April 24, 2023 from NC248Radio (Gijón). Like that album, Navegante is the soundtrack for an imaginary film, so the seven tracks and bonus track are quite varied in style. For Granda, both albums represent his definition of today’s classical/contemporary genre and both play a fundamental role in his discography. The first album by The Threshold HouseBoys Choir, under the direction of Peter Christopherson, now 2022 rereleased from original files at Deutsche Grammophon Emil Berliner (Berlin)
Also known as Sleazy, Christopherson was formally one half of the partnership known as COIL, until the untimely death of Coil's lead singer, Jhonn Balance, in 2004.
Coil released some 40 albums over the 20 or so years they were active, and achieved world-wide recognition. Christopherson was also a founder member of the influential Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV, as well as an award winning music video and commercial film director.
The Threshold HouseBoys Choir, which is based in Bangkok, Thailand, is a natural development of the ideas and style that Christopherson pioneered, and which became so popular in Coil. It combines cutting edge audio technology (esp in the areas of voice creation and manipulation) with gentle and passionate melodies that defy musical definition - part pure electronic... part glitch... part world... part folk?

The Threshold HouseBoys Choir was a musical guise for Peter Christopherson, announced in 2005 as a follow up endeavor to his former group Coil. Despite the name, it was a solo project which relied heavily on computer generated vocals, of which he was formally credited as the "director." The name was derived from a play on words, combining the terms houseboy, house of boys, boys' choir, and Threshold House. THBC was stationed in Bangkok, Thailand.

The chapters of the eclipse reveals layers of eternity in each phase like a moon bath vitalizing luminous patches in expanded and contemplative dronescapes. The meditative and minimalist electronic ambient sky is suspended at the interval for liberation from the shadows of becoming: life in its most essential orientation.
The Chapters of the Eclipse is the new musical union of Italy’s Alio Die (Stefano Musso) and Belgium’s Dirk Serries (vidnaObmana) which, more than twenty years after their previous collaboration (Echo Passage, Projekt 1999), contains three compositions in a suspended airy, majestic succession. These liquid soundscapes create an elegy of pure sonic beauty. “It offers no possibility of interpretation,” writes Musso, “because the involvement is complete, and immersion presupposes nothing more than being immediately part of the floating of the cosmos in the glow of its impersonal nature. Eight years in the making, this new creation radiates the wave that accompanies the explored space; it’s a telescope on eternity in a contemplative offering which is an impulse towards the very essence of the inner light.”

"As far as creation itself is concerned, big cities do not manifest anymore as the catalytic cultural centers they used to be. Their iconic status as hip locations seems more symbolic than real. The combined mighty forces of neocapitalist gentrification and telecommunication / information decentralization might have generated a substantially different landscape of geographical cultural distribution. And so unlikely places are also sources of physically-isolated, but culturally-interconnected, new creation. This is just but one more example of the larger phenomenon of techno-cultural atomization (not to be confused with the more restricted so-called “democratization”) that allows millions of people to create and share, pre- and post-internet. The amateur is the new potential master; and that is decided by the crowd in the circus and the stadium, not at the academy. With all of this comes the potential for new aesthetics, or at least the open-ended evolution of the previous ones, –far better than the current confusion between ethics and aesthetics- from the uninformed and the unknown. Atomization of this kind also brings for some the desire and the right to anonymity. (ltd. ed.) Francisco López offers a brand new field recording composition based on the recordings he did in the island of Tenerife whilst visiting for a performance at the Keroxen Festival, 2020.
Internationally recognized as one of the major figures of the sound art and experimental music scene, Francisco has an ear-like gift to point his microphones (and our ears) to the most special and unlikely of sound sources. For almost forty years he has developed an astonishing sonic universe, absolutely personal and iconoclastic, based on a profound listening of the world. Destroying boundaries between industrial sounds and wilderness sound environments, the presentation here is not unlike his most famous and celebrated works whilst still maintaining its unique relevance among a prolific catalogue of sounds.
Entitled Hidden Island Music the work explores its aforementioned ‘hidden sounds’ of Tenerife with a high sensorial mix of environmental and ‘industrial’ recordings taken in and around the Massifs of Teno and Anaga and later composed into a unique sonic journey through the huge sound pits of this rugged region of north Tenerife.
Another masterfull work from one of the masters of his craft, shifting from the limits of our perception to the most dreadful abyss of sonic power, a profound and transcendental listening open to sensory and spiritual expansion.

Limited edition in grey vinyl with poster Uzi is Muslimgauze’s gem from the late 80s. Cinematic, minimal, noisy, hypnotic, and gloomy. Originally released on legendary Parade Amoureuse (the label that launched Lassigue Bendt- haus and Die Form in Germany!) in 1989. Propably not as overtly Middle Eastern as his later works, though definitely bearing an influence. Backed by electric drones, percussion forms a living, breathing atmosphere of impending menace. For a strange reason this album was missing in VOD’s “Chasing the Shadow of Bryn Jones” 10LP Box-set. Now you have the chance to complete your Muslimgauze discography! Three years after the release of "You win. Who cares?", Solar Fake announce their new album "Enjoy Dystopia" - an album that consistently follows the path of its popular predecessor and even takes it several steps further. Singer Sven Friedrich agrees: „Some of the new songs are more close to "You win. Who cares?", others however are a bit more different. With each new album I always look a little bit beyond the horizon and attempt to bring new elements into the music, but without compromising the Solar Fake sound". There is a special new element that has a great importance for the sympathetic singer: "For the first time, there is a song with German lyrics on the album. We have never had that before with Solar Fake. I had the chorus lines right in my head when I wrote the song. And somehow, I didn't want to translate it into English, that would have been a compromise and with Solar Fake, I don't make any compromises. Ever." Strong words, but in fact, the song ‘Es geht dich nichts an’ fits perfectly on the album and shows a previously undiscovered aspect in the Solar Fake sound. Fans of Solar Fake can look forward to some rage infused melodies and beats: "The album is dominated by aggression, which is sometimes more obvious and sometimes more subtile. Of course, there are also calmer and sorrowful moments. Nevertheless, the ones who do not know where to put their feelings, their aggression, their despair of humankind, their vulnerability to an overall stupidity, will feel understood.”

CyberSongs is a 'transhuman song cycle for human-like computer voices' by composer/artist Barbara Ellison.
She delves in this work into the sonic intricacies of voice avatars and the ‘musicalisation’ of TTS (Text-to-speech), a type of speech synthesis application that is used to create a spoken sound version of raw text in a computer document. In the 13 tracks of this album, she creates hypnotic textures of vocal utterances through the intensive and extensive use of repetition, as tools and materials to give rise to surprising audible phenomena of a fascinating and odd musicality.
Words, morphemes, phonemes, phrases and speech particles acquire constantly-shifting new aural meanings, turning into the rhythmic, melodic and harmonic patterns of the obsessively phantasmatic trans-human song cycle of the ‘CyberSongs’.
Unlimited by the speed of articulation, in a range of different languages, these ‘beyond human’ possibilities feature and embrace glitches and artifacts that are a result of a process of pushing the limits of the technology. These voices are finally set within an electronic sound environment, with references to real-world instruments, that can be described as having an off-kilter jazz or pop aesthetic.

The original LP was recorded in September 1988 at Albini's Chicago studio and then issued on Susan Lawly as a 4 track 12" vinyl release. A special CD edition followed in 1997 on CD with extra tracks from other sessions in Chicago recorded around that time. This limited double vinyl edition features all that material in addition to the legendary original 13>36 version of My Cock's On Fire recorded at IPS, London in 1984. The set is limited to just 500 copies.

In 1991 Coil released the third of their early classic full-length albums "Love's Secret Domain", seemingly casting aside the gloom and funereal beauty of its predecessors in favour of a painstakingly multi-layered hallucinogenic electronic beast, which unlike some of their fellow ex-industrial contemporaries' releases of the time wasn't an attempt at easy accessibility or (the-gods-forbid) danceability, but a vibrating psychedelic masterpiece unrivalled in their discography and still a landmark album.
To mark its 30 year anniversary Infinite Fog are beyond proud to present an expanded, fully remastered re-release of this fan favourite available for the first time ever in its entirety on vinyl with 10 rare and mostly unreleased tracks and alternative versions from the period added as a bonus to a luxurious 3LP/2CD set. Love's Secret Domain contains among its many highlights the Lynchian William Blake tribute of its title track and the intoxicating single "Windowpane", original versions of the later Coil live staple "Teenage Lightning" and the majestically warped classicisms of "Chaostrophy".
Marc Almond guests on the typhonian "Titan Arch" and This Heat's Charles Hayward provides some amazing drum stylings. This album is Coil pushing their sound ideas and probably their sanity to their very limits. Beyond the iconic Steven Stapleton cover art - here reproduced in unseen definition - the doors of per- ception still open wide for both long-term Coil aficionados and new-comers to this supremely innovative release to explore unknown depths. In doing so, they manage the incredible balancing act of respectfully retaining the original essence of the pieces on the one hand and putting their own stamp on each track on the other.
Perhaps this works so well because his songs “still sound a bit retro today”, explains mastermind Chris Pohl.
This CD version also includes two brand new and exclusive Blutengel Tracks – that fit in per- fectly: The instrumental “Journey to the Edge of the World” is simply great, while “Unsere Zeit” (Out Time) offers a tiny bit of hope, that is so urgently needed in these hard times, without sounding pathetic.
The cover songs were of course handpicked by Chris and Ulrike Goldmann and are those tracks “that seemed to me from today’s point of view not of this world”, explains Chris with that certain sparkle in his eyes that you only get when listening to 80s music.
Whether it’s the emotional “Forever Young” [Alphaville], the (already in its original version) wonderfully wacky “Dr. Mabuse” [Propaganda] or the dystopian “Down in the Park” [Gary Numan] – there’s heart and soul in each of these cover versions. The long awaited follow-up to the award winning album "Alkimia" from Swedish electro/new wave/postpunk giants Agent Side Grinder. The first to feature the new vocalist Emanuel Åström. From "A/X" we have been treated with two singles: "Doppelgänger" and "Stripdown". The latter quickly became an underground hit and has been frequently played on Swedish National Radio this winter. It was named "song of the year" in Release Magazine, Synth.nu, Synthguiden and Elektroskull to name a few.
Well-known music journalist Fredrik Strage praised the song on TV4, National morning TV and made it become a hit. The singles introduced a more electronic and danceable sound, but all the elements that have made ASG a genre standout are intact on "A/X": Metallic beats, infectious basslines, sweeping synth melodies and extremely strong tracks. Two Witches is a legendary gothic rock band from Finland, formed in 1987. The group was once founded by the couple of Jyrki Witch and Anne Nurmi. During a tour as support act of Lacrimosa, Anne fell in Love with Tilo Wolff [of Lacrimosa/Snakeskin), left the band and his boyfriend to start a personal and professional relationship with Tilo Wolff / Lacrimosa.

An album – a milestone – a legend! Like no other album, “Mindstrip” embodies the term Hellelektro and shows the dark, club sounds which have made Suicide Commando world famous. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of this masterpiece, Johan van Roy recalls his bloody roots without losing sight of the dark future. “Mindstrip was a milestone, not only for me but for the whole electro scene”, Johan comments self-consciously.
“The album became a big influence on many bands of the scene.”
A great opportunity to give this classic piece an overhaul after 20 years. “The original album was written on an old Atari computer and most of the singing parts were partially recorded live”, Johan remembers, „at first I wanted to just re-master those old recordings, but when I started transferring the old Cubase files onto my today's computer, I more and more started to re-write the songs and in the end, most songs had a completely different turnout.” Nevertheless, Johan has never lost respect for the legendary original: “Mindstrip Redux” will be released as a 2-CD version with the new version of the album just like the ground- breaking original.

Future Pop

When "Frozen Plasma" released their debut album "Artificial" on Infacted [2006], no one could foresee how fast the production duo Vasi Vallis and Felix Marc could establish themselves at the top of the international Electropop/Futurepop scene. 2020, 15 years into their career, the band returns with their fourth studio album to date.
"Gezeiten" (engl. "tide") is the album the fanbase was longingly waiting for. Besides the single releases "Safe Dead Harm" and "Gefühlsmaschine", the album features ten more charming pop and dance tracks, a bright mixture which already made the previous "Frozen Plasma" albums so successful.
The opener "Sailor" is a typical "Frozen Plasma" song, followed by "Exit" which reminds of the big hit "Irony" and could possibly become their next single release. "Westend" is an 80s expired pop song followed by "Gefühlsmaschine", their latest club attack. "Another Girl" is a more moody and slow tune followed by "Rivers" one more potential hit song followed by the catchy "Chameleon Love" and the ballad "Badlands". "Safe Dead Harm" rises the tempo followed by the only instru- mental on "Gezeiten": "Etmal". "Nautic" spreads a positive mood before the 2020 version of "Almond Flowers" closes "Gezeiten" with a quite melancholic flow. "Gezeiten" is a very modern sound 80s, Synthpop and Synth Wave inspired pop album with loads of potential club hits and warm/catchy melodies.
Without doubt already now one of the highlights of 2020.

In 1975, Dario Argento launched his seminal horror classic, “Profondo Rosso”, or in English, “Deep Red”. This movie would influence a whole generation of teens, growing up in the late 70’s and early 80’s both when it came to film and music.
The brutal horror of Dario Argento and the dark electro-prog of Goblin was indeed a perfect match.
In 1994, Apoptygma Berzerk released the CD-Single “Deep Red” to great critical acclaim, and the track is still a fan-favorite, both on record, and in live-settings, where the song still is performed on almost every gig. “Deep Red” was also the first official music video that Apoptygma Berzerk ever made. In 1996 “Deep Red” was also included on the studio-album “7”, and it was featured on countless compilations across the world. In 2019, following up on the “Soli Deo Gloria” 25th. Anniversary from 2018, the band is pulling off another 25th Anniversary, this time with the split-7” of “Deep Red” made in collaboration with English analogue fetishists, Vile Electrodes. The duo, consisting of Jane Caley and Martin Swan, also made a track called “Deep Red” back in 2013, for their debut album, “The Future through A Lens”, and they also accompanied it with a video and the track was also included in Undo’s amazing ‘The Electricity Club’ double compilation (bestselling electro compilation 2018 for Audioglobe!). So, in the planning of the German tour dates for Apoptygma Berzerk that are coming up in mid- August, Vile Electrodes were invited to join as special guests there, and also at the gig in Oslo. Then the idea came up that Vile Electrodes should do a remix of Apoptygma Berzerk’s “Deep Red”, and that Apoptygma Berzerk should do a remix of Vile Electrodes’ “Deep Red”, and issue this as a split 7” vinyl! Both bands went to work and delivered amazing versions of the songs of their counterparts, and in August 2019, this very special 7"”, limited to 400 copies in transparent vinyl, will be released the week after the German tour-dates. Released on Tatra Records in association with Pitch Black Drive.

After more than 12 years, Einstürzende Neubauten’s long-awaited new studio album 'Alles In Allem' is finally going to be released.
The album marks the quintessence of the band’s out- put, opening yet another unexpected door in 40 years of ongoing sound research by a very experimental group of musicians around Blixa Bargeld. This band, like nearly no other, has managed to create a musical cosmos. It has, in fact, built up its own genre by uniquely com- bining edgy sound with sophisticated poetry. Appropriately, in the Year of the Rat – the symbol of ingenuity and versatility according to the Chinese zodiac – the band is not resting on the laurels of its last four decades. Instead, it curiously continues to explore everything that the sound universe has to yield, with one eye on the future and with boundless playfulness.
The unique sound and textual landscapes of the band, founded in 1980 in Berlin, reveal the timelessness that Blixa Bargeld, N. U. Unruh, Alexander Hacke, Jochen Arbeit and Rudolph Moser have continuously maintained. And yet, through experimental approaches to songwriting, instruments developed over four decades and collective input, the band sounds remarkably cutting edge within its own time. In fact, through its individual brand of music the Einstürzende Neubauten seem to always command each and every manifestation of the here and now – whether industrial in its early years, the driving beats of the 1990s or its more considered later work. The verse “Wir hatten tausend Ideen / Und alle waren gut” (We had a thousand ideas / And all of them were good) from albumtrack “Am Landwehrkanal” could easily be perceived as the band’s description of itself.
The sum total is a special compilation: 'Alles In Allem', Einstürzende Neubauten’s first regular studio album in 12 years, presents an incomparable band that defies categorization to create a genre all its own.

Hungarian dark electronic pop duo Black Nail Cabaret embark into the 2020s with a head start: They have signed to Dependent Records and gained the support slot for Swedish icons Covenant’s Fieldworks 2020 spring tour, which will surely give them another boost thanks to their impressive live qualities. However, there is more to Black Nail Cabaret than perfect timing and eye-catching performances, namely a strong thematic backbone as mirrored in the album concept: “It is the year 2020, and gods are verging on Sanity. They are us, humans. We are gods, with an anus. We contemplate our place in the world, the meaning of our death. We find and create beauty, and yet we eat, defecate and reproduce like any other animal on this planet. We are existential organisms, and our minds struggle with this duality. Singer Emese Arvai-Illes started out as a performer in a fetish horror theatre group in Budapest but quickly found programmer, producer and partner Kristzian Arvai to be her musical counter- part. Black Nail Cabaret fuse darkness with light, beauty with violence and disturbing art with lush harmonies. Modern electronic sequences meet a distinct 1980s influence from boundary- pushing female acts like Grace Jones or Eurythmics. Tradition blended with new visions makes Gods Verging on Sanity one of the most exciting new entries into this young musical decade.

“Käferzeit” - the time of beetles, is the first instalment in a series of releases featuring exclusively martial ambient material and "industrial" collages, partially reminiscent of earlier Rome works such as “Hate us and see if we mind” (2013), “A Passage to Rhodesia” (2014) or parts of the “Die Aesthetik der Herrschaftsfreiheit” trilogy (2011). Whereas Rome's oeuvre usually features lots of guitar work, “Käferzeit” focuses on complex industrial loops, unconventional bruitist arrangements and instrumental ambient collages.
The images evoked by these martial soundscapes (mostly made of restored period audio material and found sounds) transport us back to Europe's blood-drenched past, when ideologies were still battling each other to the death on European soil. Images of armoured creatures digging foxholes in a landscape ravaged by war; of the futility of defending trenches against murderous incursions, as shells tear bodies apart, souls apart.

(ltd. ed. 300) Collaborative edition between Crónica (from Portugal) and Tronicdisease (Spain).
The collaborative album Ekkert Nafn was composed from sound materials collected by Francisco López and Miguel A. García. Some of these materials were derived from field recordings, others from electrical and mechanical devices, all were manipulated with digital tools to varying degrees. After compiling the collection of sounds, both artists proceeded to compose independently, arriving to pieces that inevitably intersected each other’s aesthetics.
In the two chimeric works presented in this album, we may recognise each artist’s authorial identity intertwined with the other’s in multiple and surprising ways. The title of the release is actually yet another manifestation of this superposition: García often uses invented words to title his pieces, looking for sounds and forms that somehow connect with the music. Sometimes, within these invented words, he discovers words from languages he does not understand. Ekkert Nafn happens to not be made up of invented words — although it could have been — but is composed by two Icelandic words that translate to the quintessential López title, No Name.

‘Theme From The Gay Man’s Guide To Safer Sex’ is the Coil's unreleased soundtrack for the VHS only, pre-internet, sexual education documentary of the same name re- leased in 1992.
Members for this project are John Balance, Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson and Danny Hyde.
This OST, to quote John Balance's interview for Compulsion Online, "is [a] slightly new agey, progressive house type thing". Another way to approach it is as a delightful collection of balearic beats, smoking jazz not far removed from Badalamenti's work with David Lynch, somewhat of an ambient house album for your home listening and early morning sunrise dances, Coil style.
Taken from the original masters provided by Danny Hyde, "The Gay Man's Guide...” features a new sexy edit of the main theme. Bonuses: "Nasa-Arab" and "Omlagus Garfungiloops" are taken from the 1992 CD only "Stolen and Contaminated Songs", both being original versions of the radically reworked (for the OST) "Nasa-Arab 2" and "Exploding Frogs" in order to balance the whole album and extend the listening pleasure.

But this link between Kirlian Cameras last successful album and their forthcoming record "Cold Pills" has undergone many changes.
Originally intended as a 2nd single of "Hologram Moon", and a successor to 2017s club anthem "Sky Collapse" (performed together with Covenants Eskil Simonsson), this record has undergone a lot of iterations. At first it was planned as a limited Edition single, then as a remix E.P. (Metaluna, Polar HIS), and then came … "Hellfire". This cover version of one of the signature tracks of the TV series "Lucifer" does not only show that Kirlian Camera are adapt viewers of recent Fantasy and Science Fiction tv novels, it shows them also at the peak of their creativity and arrangement skills. We know, it sounds rather not believable, coming from a record labels one-sheet but "Hellfire" is definitely among the strongest songs of Kirlian Camera's decade-long endeavor to fuse sinister and solemn arrangements into erotic electronic pop structures.
The grandezza of this song makes our hairs on our arms stand up: "Hellfire, Hellfire - take my soul"

(ltd. ed.) For the very first time on [triple] vinyl, in best vinyl quality and deluxe gatefold sleeves feat. lots of vintage photos plus liner notes! Only one track per vinyl side for the best possible audio quality! The last side of each 3-LP set features an etched Klaus Schulze logo!

There is a noticeable focus on percussion on “Moonlake” (originally released in 2005), which hasn’t been found on Schulze’s albums for some time. While rhythm was often used as an element to supplement the music on his earlier albums, it takes on a more dominant role on “Moonlake”.
The album also marks the introduction of Schulze playing the Mini-Moog (with distortion and Wah-Wah!) in the studio for the first time. Previously Schulze had only ever used this set up live on stage. Apart from the first two tracks, “Playmate in Paradise” and “Artemis in Jubileo”, which were recorded ‘live’ in the studio, there are also two actual live performance pieces on “Moonlake”. “Same Thought Lion” and “Mephisto” were both recorded in Poland on November 5th 2003 during a concert in Posen for Gert Hof’s huge light show. These edited tracks were made available for the first time for a larger audience to enjoy.

Stupor Mentis is a Dark-Ambient / Neo-classical duet formed in 2015. The general atmosphere of their music, foggy and oppressive sometimes turn into lyrical musing, escorting you to the edge of the “Stupor Mentis”.
This latin term refers to this special mental “no-being” state characterised by a complete suspension of intelectual activities ; then, transported out of yourself
“ Ad extirpanda” is the first real album of Stupor Mentis, following two dematerialised auto productions : “In memoriam” (2016) and “ Apostat” (2017).
All the tracks from “Apostat” and some from “In memoriam” re-masterised, re-arranged with new versions.
The vocals alternate between french, english, spanish and latin ; quoting poems of Charles Baudelaire, Emile Cioran and Rafael Alberti. The whole on atmospheric and symphonic instrumentation.

Lassigue Bendthaus is the project started by Uwe Schmidt, aka Atom™ and Señor Conocut, back in the late 80s and "Matter" is the first album originally released in 1991. Musically some- where between late Industrial and Electronic Body Music, yet already anticipating Acid and Techno, this production managed to cause quite a stir due to its advanced production technique on one hand and its well defined artistic direction on the other.

The Cross of Burgundy (Spanish: Cruz de Borgoña, Cruz de San Andrés), a form of St. Andrew's cross, was first used in the 15th century as an emblem by the Valois Dukes of Burgundy, who ruled a large part of eastern France and the Low Countries as effectively an independent state. The Duchy of Burgundy was inherited by the House of Habsburg on the extinction of the Valois ducal line. The emblem was then assumed by the monarchs of Spain as a result of the Habsburgs bringing together, in the early 16th century, their Burgundian inheritance with the other extensive possessions they inherited throughout Europe and the Americas, including the crowns of Castile and Aragon.

(ltd. ed. 300) ‘Super-Sensor’ is a non-profit curated electronic magazine of/on/around experimental music, noise, sound art and related areas and practices. Here, ‘magazine’ is understood in a very wide sense, like the original etymological generic container of different goods. You can think of it as a free crossbreed combination of audio compilation, essay colection, film/video anthology, etc. Additionally, ‘audio’ is conceived here as a very ample territory of significant confluence for a multipicity of creators, disciplines, ideas and sensibilities.
‘Super-Sensor’ aims at creating a suggestive entry point / teaser into the work of the featured artists/creators. The contents come in all kinds of digital formats (audio and video files, text/graphic documents, images, code/software executable files, etc.) and are published –together with biographical and contact information- exactly as submitted by the contributing artists/creators. Contributors also choose and indicate individually the rights’ status of their submitted materials (copyright, no copyright, creative commons, etc.).
‘Super-Sensor’ is published digitally, both online and on a physical release. The online version has generally a lower resolution and is accessible via streaming and/or downloading, as chosen individually by the contributing artists/creators. The physical relesase inclludes all the digital contents on a USB flat memory card (“Slim card USB drive”).

Metroland is one of the very few bands who carry out the trademark of creating conceptual albums. Even more than with a band, the creative work of a solo artist is the direct and unadulterated reflection of recent experiences, a mirror of the soul, an undiluted reaction to their current life situation. This formula has always applied to German electronic music artist, composer and producer Klaus Schulze, and even if the astonishing number of albums recorded and released by him is virtually impossible to pinpoint (experts estimate the number of releases featuring Schulze to be at least 200, but more probably 500), his latest offering Silhouettes is no less special for the 70-year-old. The four pieces on the album were created between summer and autumn 2017 following an extended period which was – due to health problems – very quiet and for this reason very meditative at times. Schulze: “The result automatically was a phase of reflection, of retrospection, of pure contemplation. In the wake of your 70th birthday you naturally find yourself looking back at the past – so the result is a reorientation, a renewed awareness of what is really important..”
Schulze describes the music on Silhouettes as a “reduction to the essential things” and has consciously worked only very sparingly with solos and vocal elements. He explains: “No great distractions, nothing to force your attention in a certain direction, no major effects or gimmicks, no frills or dominant rhythms. It was important to me to paint the pictures in the depth of the space, the sonic fields of tension and atmosphere.”
Sonic images that inspire with their meditative ambience, their compositional elegance, their gentle advance into expanses and depths. “Although that’s not something you consciously decide to do – it just happens if the music wants it to happen and you listen to where the journey wants to take you,” Schulze describes his basic creative philosophy. “The result may appear to be unspectacular at first sight, but as with a microscope or a cosmic telescope, the evident should not really be what matters. Because there are levels in music that you can almost touch, that walk through the room – but first of all you have to allow the noise in your head to calm down so the music behind it becomes audible. Which may turn out to be very simple and for this reason very complex, depending on how far you’re prepared to venture into it.”
Analysing individual works in detail would not do justice to the overall phenomenon of Silhouettes, in particular since the titles ´Silhouettes`, ´Der lange Blick zurück`, ´Quae simplex` and ´Châteaux faits des vent` are expressive enough in themselves. As a brief assessment, let it just be said that the overture ´Silhouettes` sees Schulze pave the way for an epic symphony, consciously leaving it at hints, shadows and scattered fragments, while the other three compositions feature the sequencers that are so typical of him. Other than that, the whole album lives up to the tried and tested motto of this innovative artist: let the music talk!
Schulze was born in Berlin on 4 August 1947. He started his musical career as a drummer, initially with amateur band Psy Free, then with Berlin sound avant-gardists Tangerine Dream before going on to join Ash Ra Tempel. Following the recording of their debut album, Schulze left the fold to embark on his solo career. In summer 1971 he built his first small sound studio in the bedroom of his flat, where he recorded his debut Irrlicht which arrived at the stores in April 1972 and has been followed by countless successors to this day. The press was enthusiastic from the beginning, referring to Schulze as the “King Of Cosmic Music” and the “Magician on the Big Moog”, calling his work a “monument of forward-looking music.” Schulze himself has never been interested in these kinds of labels, he simply follows a clear artistic vision:
“For me a piece of music takes time until it becomes alive. Theoretically I could of course cut down what people refer to as epic to four or five minutes. But then the dramaturgy of the work would break down completely. Since my debut album, I’ve always allowed my compositions the time frame they need.”

In the year 2008 the documentary called “Psicofonías: Las Voces Desconocidas” was shot by the film director Jose Moral. This was about the voices of dead people where echoes of spirits leave us some footprint after death. Humankind has believed during a long time that it is possible to communicate with dead people. Over the years , seances, mediums and psychics have been possible instruments to make contact with the afterlife. So, EVP is an espiritual footprint and a communication link to the soundtrack in this documentary.

This one relies on some of the most important projects of the Dark Ambient Industrial music: In Slaughter Natives, which is a pioneer in the symphonic industrial field and part of the legendary label Cold Meat Industry. This music project is formed by Jouni Havukainen who carries out an outstanding and deep work full of aspects where in some parts we can listen the voices of dead people.

Over the course of its six decades plus existence, the choir known as The Mystery Of The Bulgarian Voices has left an indelible mark on popular musicians and culture. Though the choir became famous after the English independent record label 4AD reissued a pair of anthology albums in 1986 and 1988 with the title "Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares", their recordings date back as far as 1957.
4AD founder Ivo Watts-Russell had been introduced to the choir via a third or fourth generation cassette lent to him by Peter Murphy, singer from the band Bauhaus, who himself had been entranced by the music. Simultaneously ancient and post-modern, the sound of The Mystery Of The Bulgarian Voices reminds us that the human voice is the most powerful, versatile instrument ever created. Unadorned and transcending both cultural and language barriers, the ensemble's performances provide one of the most unique and compelling experiences in music: not only did the choir win a Grammy for Best Traditional Recording in 1988 with its second 4AD release, but it had already been included on the gold record that was put on the Voyager spacecraft in 1977 in search of extra-terrestrial life as one of the remarkable cultural heritages of mankind.
The choir has subsequently worked with or been sampled by artists as diverse as Kate Bush, VAST and Drake. 'Pora Sotunda' is the first release of new material by the choir written in over 20 years and features another outstanding singer, Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance, rendering this single a unique joint recording of some of the most extraordinary vocalists of the present day.

It was a memorable event when MESH received standing ovations from 1.900 attendees at their sold-out concert in Gewandhaus Leipzig, Germany, in October 2015. Together with a 65-person classical orchestra, the Brits had performed under the heading "Gothic Meets Classic" and managed to convince even the most sceptical of minds. Not only were the quartet's melancholic compositions a perfect fit for the orchestral arrangements; thanks to the fantastic work of classical producer and pianist Conrad Oleak, the evening remained unforgettable amongst those in the audience. Also, Mark Hockings proved once again that he is one of the best live vocalists the scene has. The five tracks were recorded in superb audio quality by sound engineer Jacky Lehmann (Saxon, Schiller) whereas Conrad Oleak was responsible for mix and mastering, not to forget the 5.1 sur- round sound of the audio DVD of the limited edition. Under his aegis, MESH also recorded three additional tracks in his studio ('There must be a Way', 'Can you mend Hearts', 'Before the World ends'), using a smaller ensemble with piano, thus being able to offer us a full CD of high quality classical recordings. Dependent does justice to this sonic opulence by releasing it on CD, limited edition 180 gram vinyl with gatefold cover and in a lush box set named "Grosser Saal"-Edition. The latter includes CD, audio DVD with 5.1 mix and vinyl plus a 48-page hardcover artbook (30x30 cm), a softcover book including the sheet music and a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Project formed by Mynationshit and Sentionaut which is influenced by horror movies .They definitely love directors such as Dario Argento ,John Carpenter,Wes Craven, Mario Bava and of course their hypnotist aesthetics and sinister atmospheres. On this occasion, They have recorded an eerie album with two outstanding remixes by Hyboid and Synth Alien and also four tracks of them where black cats,stained glass window and darkness are always present. This is called "Sequanza Lunga" and obviously is inspired by Suspiria which is a 1977 Italian horror film directed by Dario Argento.

Since the beginning of the so called ‘80s’ the term ‘Electronic Body Music’ has established itself as a part of the global electronic music movement. Pulsating basses and machine like rhythms have become the trademark of a whole music scene. Bands like Nitzer Ebb, Front 242 or Pouppee Fabrikk are named to be the pioneers of this movement. ‘Orange Sector’ are part of the so called ‘second wave’ of the EBM scene with a history of 23 years, 12 album releases, several EPs and singles.

First limited edition in special ‘Panorama-Digipak’!!! The reason why this new album is more expensive than usual, is due to the fact, that the first edition comes as deluxe fold-out ‘Panorama digipak’: 12 panels, opening in 4 panels to the left, and 1 to the right. The Digipak comes with an outer cardboard-slider cover. Once this version has sold out, the album will be made available in a (cheaper) standard version with the same musical content. Vinyl: No confirmed plans for a vinyl release of “Hell in Eden” yet. Eden is no place. Eden is a machine – so it says in the beginning of the liner notes to the 13th album by Diary of Dreams. A.T.O.M. (Abandoned Territories of Mankind) is a very cohesive, yet complex and absolutely epic piece of dark art; very hypnotic, sometimes almost psychedelic but often so very accumulative that simply calls for repetitive listening. It might not be as coherent as the first album, not so dense and raw as the second and third chapter, but it's much more atmospheric and cinematic. It leads the listener through many emotional states of mind and offers more questions than answers to the whole story. Musically A.T.O.M. is a very strong album, it actually starts in the similar vein where Mission E.D.E.N. left off, and so it offers one hell of heavy intensity, dense and turbulent sound that can't be really properly categorized, but it's also highly atmospheric, sometimes soothing, even emotional and absolutely cinematic.

All tracks (or "explorations") are unedited and they were recorded between 2003-2007, pretty earlier to the formation of the project and on “a troubled personal time; one of militant nihilism” according to [S] own words. Neither hi-tech nor hi-fi were used in here. Back at that time [S] employed worn and minimal gear, using primitive recording technics (hand-manipulation, mostly) in order to create "old school" and minimalistic industrial, black / dark ambient and noise but including many elements that can be recognized on Kazeria´s later works.

2017. With cult bands, this is a matter of course: many of them still rest on their hit singles and their typical sound. Alphaville is quite different. Even if hits such as "Big In Japan" and "Forever Young" remain unforgotten, the synthpop legends 2017 look into the future - with their new album "Strange Attractor". For seven years fans had to wait for the successor of »Catching Rays On Giant«. A time when much happened. Alphaville had to take leave of her keyboardist Martin Lister, who died in 2014. The result was a new form of the band, with singer Marian Gold, keyboardist Carsten Brocker, guitarist David Goodes, drummer Jakob Kiersch and bassist Alexandra Merl. Of course, this also involved changes in their sound. And so "Strange Attractor" is perhaps the most varied album of the band to date. One of the strangest and most fascinating aspects of ambient music is the way it can sometimes morph from sonic wallpaper -where it basically functions as a soundtrack- into an agent of transformation, allowing the reshaping of the perceived world around the listener. Some of Mathias' albums have had this effect on me before, and the Darklight Quest definitely falls into this territory. Gterma is happy to shine a light on this now mostly forgotten treasure, originally released as a DIY CDr in 1998.
