A little girl named Nancy is playing house, and pretending to be a mother and has dressed Tom, apparently the family pet, up to be her baby. She is scolding Tom, who is hiding under some furniture. She drags Tom out by his tail and threatens to spank him. Tom is resentful over his treatment and feels humiliated. She carries him to the bassinet, tucks him in, and shoves a bottle of milk in his mouth. She warns him, under threat of more spanking, to stay in bed while she "goes downtown to buy a new girdle." Indignant at first, Tom gets a taste of milk and quickly accepts his lot, cooing like a baby and drinking from his baby bottle.

Jerry's Cousin is a 1951 one-reel animated cartoon and is the 57th Tom and Jerry short. Made in 1950, but released in 1951 on April 7 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, it was nominated for the 1950 Academy Award for Best Short Cartoon.

One day at Hogan's Alley, Jerry's cousin Muscles, is showing the cats who's boss. After dispatching of his feline nemesis, Muscles retrieves his mail, which includes a letter from Jerry, begging for help in dealing with Tom.

Jerry's Cousin Muscles proves too strong for Tom.

An angry Muscles packs a bag and goes to Jerry's home. As he marches through the alleyway, the cats cower in fear; Butch is so scared of Muscles that he digs his own grave and buries himself.

At Jerry's house, the mouse is being mercilessly terrorized by Tom throwing sticks of firecrackers into Jerry's mousehole. Muscles arrives ......

A mother duck sees all but one of her eggs hatching into little ducklings, and takes them for a swim. After the mother duck and her ducklings have left, the final egg hatches, and out comes Quacker. Rushing behind, trying to catch up, he wades into the water but finds himself unable to swim. He calls for his mother, but she is too far way to help.

It is about a girl called Little Red Riding Hood, after the red hooded cape or cloak she wears. The girl walks through the woods to deliver food to her sick grandmother.

A wolf wants to eat the girl but is afraid to do so in public. He approaches little red riding hood and she naively tells him where she is going. He suggests the girl pick some flowers, which she does. In the meantime, he goes to the grandmother's house and gains entry by pretending to be the girl. He swallows the grandmother whole, and waits for the girl, disguised as the grandmother.

When the girl arrives, she notices he looks very strange to be her grandmother. Little Red Riding Hood then says, "What big hands you have." In most retellings, this eventually culminates with Little Red Riding Hood saying, "My, what big teeth you have!", to which the wolf replies, "The better to eat you with," and swallows her whole, too.

A hunter, however, comes to the rescue and cuts the wolf open.

Is a short story by Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen. The story is about a dying child's dreams and hope, and was first published in 1845. It has been adapted to various media including animated film, and a television musical.

On a cold New Year’s Eve, a poor girl tries to sell matches in the street. She is freezing badly, but she is afraid to go home because her father will beat her for not selling any matches. She takes shelter in a nook and lights the matches to warm herself. In their glow, she sees several lovely visions including a Christmas tree and a holiday feast. The girl looks skyward, sees a shooting star, and remembers her deceased grandmother saying that such a falling star means someone died and is going into Heaven. As she lights her next match, she sees a vision of her grandmother, the only person to have treated her with love and kindness. She strikes one match after another to keep the vision of her grandmother nearby for as long as she can. The child dies and her grandmother carries her soul to Heaven. The next morning, passers-by find the dead child in the nook.

The tale was first published in 1837 and has been adapted to various media including musical theatre and animated film.

The Little Mermaid lives in a utopian underwater kingdom with her father the sea king;
her grandmother; and her six elder sisters, each born one year apart. When a mermaid turns 15, she is allowed to swim to the surface to watch the world above, and as the sisters become old enough, one of them visits the surface every year. As each of them returns, the Little Mermaid listens longingly to their various descriptions of the surface and of human beings.

When the Little Mermaid's turn comes, she ventures to the surface, sees a ship with a handsome prince, and falls in love with him from a distance. A great storm hits, and the Little Mermaid saves the prince from a near-drowning. She delivers him unconscious to the shore near a temple. Here she waits until a young girl from the temple finds him. The prince never sees the Little Mermaid.

The cartoon was released on 14 June 1947, and was directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, produced by Fred Quimby and animated by Ed Barge, Michael Lah, Kenneth Muse and Al Grandmain. The episode is a parody of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Short Subject: Cartoons in 1947, but lost to Warner Bros. Tweetie Pie.Near a basement window are two milk bottles.

Through the basement window, Tom reaches for one of the bottles and then snatches it, rushing into the living room to pour it in his bowl and drink it but Jerry also wants Tom's milk. Tom makes various attempts to catch Jerry but when they all fail, the cat dreams up a murderous plot to rid himself of his annoyance.

The next scene shows Tom mixing chemicals into his milk, upon mixing the deadly elixir, the chemicals cause the spoon to dissolve. After seeing a fly taking a little sip from the bowl before crying in pain and then dropping dead, Tom carefully carries the bowl and places it outside Jerry's hole, confident that his potion works, gleefully watching Jerry about to drink from the bowl.

The title of this cartoon is an appropriate play on "a guest in the house."Mammy Two Shoes stumbles upon the kitchen which has been ransacked by Jerry

(who has had a jam session in the bread box, raided the refrigerator, and took bites out of Mammy's chocolate cake), and goes on a tirade against the residents of the house: Tom and Butch. She ventures into the living room, where she finds them lazing around and drinking cream. Sarcastically pleased that the cats are satisfied, she yells "'cause I ain't! There's a mouse in the house, and there's two cats. But there's only gonna be one cat in this house in the morning and that's the cat that catches that mouse. Now, get going!"

The two cats frantically begin their search for the mouse, and are unsuspectingly aided by Jerry, before realising the mouse was under their noses the whole time.

Dog Trouble is a 1942 one-reel animated cartoon and is the 5th Tom and Jerry short. It was produced in Technicolor, released to theatres on April 18, 1942 by Metro-Goldwyn Mayer and reissued for re-release in 1952. It was animated by George Gordon, Irven Spence, Jack Zander and, uncredited, Billie LittleJohn.

The cartoon opens with Jerry running across a tablecloth, unfortunately not going anywhere. It is quickly revealed that as Jerry runs, Tom is pulling the cloth as if it were a treadmill (similar to Puss Gets the Boot). Tom reaches the end of the cloth and Jerry runs across to the other side of the table as Tom gives chase. Jerry tries to stop at the end of the table, but Tom's mouth is waiting and hungry! Although he cannot stop, Jerry uses one of the cat's whiskers to swing himself back out, then escapes into his mousehole. Tom then knocks on the wall to get Jerry to come out, and patiently waits as Jerry tiptoes through an electrical outlet on the other side of the wall. Before he can steal away to a safer location, he sees a piece of cheese on a mousetrap and holds it out for Tom's tail to fall into. When the cat's jumping tail repeatedly misses, the mouse simply does the job himself, and then runs for his life as Tom yelps in agony at his throbbing tail.

Tom si Jerry - Jerry`s Diary

Jerry's Diary was the first of several "wrap-around" cartoons where the plot device is based on flashbacks from previous cartoons. As the budget for creating cartoons at this time was very expensive,

this sort of cartoon, done once every few years, was a way of the studio saving money.

The cartoon opens with Tom setting up a bunch of traps in front of Jerry's mouse hole. He raises a cleaver over the hole and is stopped by the tubby looking talking radio, telling him it is a the week he should be extra kind to animals (referring to Jerry). He removes the traps he just set up and then returns with flowers, a present, and a pie with, "To Jerry with Love" written on it. Tom knocks on the wall but there is no answer. Tom removes the grate on the wall and sees that Jerry is not at home. But he does see his diary. Tom reaches in, grabs it, and starts to read it.
