Just a quick heads up to people that this domain name and possibly this blog are for sale.

Don't think of this as a failure, but rather a smart time management decision.

Why? Well basically while I thought the idea of this blog would be fun I didn't realize the work it takes to track the contests. When do they end, who won, did they get my entry? Plus my other projects are taking a lot of my time. I would much rather put my efforts towards some more rewarding (for me) projects. No reason to continue just for the sake of it if you know what I mean.

This isn't to say the idea is bad. On the contrary many are having fun with it and getting some good traffic. Cheers to them!

So if you are interested, send a note through my contact form. Tell me what you want and how much. If you can't answer both of those terms I will just ignore it. In other words if you send me a stupid email saying "how much you want for your domain name" I am not going to answer. You make the offer if you want it. Otherwise I will probably just use it for another project in the future. Sorry if that sounds mean, but its amazing how many people can't follow basic instructions.

Contest beat is having their own contest this month. There can be two winners, each taking away $50. One winner will be selected by describing the 'absolute coolest contest prize'. The other will be randomly selected.

Contest runs from October 1st to the 15th, so act fast. Also it looks like not a lot of entries thus far so good odds for you! Plus you will get a link back just for entering.

So what would I want to give? Well, the conditions say it can cost no more than $100 and must be shipped anywhere in the world. Hmm, for a $100 you could do games, small electronics, 100 lottery tickets, etc. However I think I would probably give away Guitar Hero 3 on the machine of the winners choice.

Go Visit Hawaii is running a pretty smart contest right now. First they have a gift pack which is themed and full of fun goodies. Second they have a system to ensure that only people that subscribe to their email or RSS feed are qualified to win. Great way to really get subscribers and to reward those that actually follow the rules.

While there are a number of interesting items in the gift pack, my favorite is "A dashboard swaying hula girl figurine.". I think I need that. :-)

At any rate the way it works is that there will be a secret word or phrase that only subscribers will see. Sometime between now and November 15th you will see it. When you get that word you then send her a note via her contact form and you are officially entered.

Million Euro Wiki just recently launched. It is a wiki service where a person can purchase a page for $100. They own that page for life or can sell it to someone else down the road. In just two days he has sold 43 pages, including one to us.

We just recently learned that they have started a contest as well. For every 25 pages purchased you have the chance to win a 16GB ipod touch. The earlier you get in on the deal the more chances you will have. It seemed like a good deal before the contest, so now the deal is even better.

While we usually only blog on free contests, we figured this one would be of interest to some people as well. Also there is an affiliate program to sell pages. We are not a part of it (we get no money from this post) but if you have a high traffic blog that may be a good way to earn a bit of cash by promoting the site.
