So far, there have only been a few subtle references to the short, including one from animator Patrick Osborne, who posted the following to his blog:

We’re finishing up a rather exciting project at Disney in the next few weeks. It’s been keeping me pretty busy and away from this blog. The short is called Paperman. Directed by John Kahrs, the short will be running the festival circuit next year. We’re very proud of this one and can’t wait to show the world.

Osborne also says Kristina Reed will produce, while Jeff Turley and Kyle Odermat are the art director and VFX supervisor, respectively.

So far, that’s all we know about Paperman, but we’ll be sure to keep you informed of any further news.

In a recent interview, Gomez, whose hit Disney TV Show Wizards of Wavely Place aired its finale last month, said that wrapping the popular comedy series was one of the hardest things she’s ever done professionally.

After the last episode aired, which drew almost 10 million viewers in the U.S. on January 6, Gomez had the following to say:

Ending the show was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I love everybody involved with Wizards. I love everybody in the cast and everybody in the crew. They all helped me grow up and become the person I am today. I’m really going to miss that safety net.

Working on Wizards Of Waverly Place has been an amazing experience and I will always remember the fun times we had shooting in front of a live studio audience. We’d perform every week and I really enjoyed it. It became easy and I was very comfortable with the show.

During his speech at the Orange County Business Council meeting last week, Staggs told attendees “you shouldn’t be surprised to see something from ‘Brave’… in the not too distant future.”

Brave, the upcoming Pixar film that follows a courageous princess named Merida, is scheduled to debut in theaters June 22. However, a Disney spokeswoman said no date has been set for an addition to “World of Color.” We’ll keep you posted as news develops.

I think I was born with an eating disorder, because I’ve never had a relationship with food that was normal. I remember looking in the mirror with nappies on thinking, ‘You’re fat, change it.’

Lovato explains that she became a binge eater at a young age, but when children at school started bullying her when she was 12, she stopped eating. When she did eat food, she’d throw it up. Lovato says that rehab really helped her focus on making eating a routine, but at first it freaked her out. She says she “cried often, because [she] was terrified at having to eat 3 meals a day.”

The Disney darling says while there will always be temptation to revert back to her eating disorder ways, she fights it every day because she wants to be a role model for her fans and younger sister.

The tape appeared to show Horlacher assaulting park employees, and authorities say he fought with at least one security guard. The Anaheim Police Department were called Saturday afternoon to assist park security in detaining the suspect, and when police arrived, they say “several guests were holding down the man.”

One security guard was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, and Horlacher was released on a citation. As of this writing, the cause for the attack has not been determined, and Disney has not officially commented on the incident.

Initially, the discussions between both companies were reported two weeks ago, but no further word has been heard about this potential launch. In fact, as of this writing, both a Univision and an ABC spokesperson have declined comment.

A 24-hour news channel could help Disney-owned ABC News compete with other news programs, while Univision could use the channel to reach viewers that advertisers prefer – Latinos who mostly speak English. The company has already announced they plan to launch a Spanish-language news channel this spring, so a collaboration between Disney and Univision for an English-language channel may not be merely rumor.

On Friday, ABC and the Academy announced that this legendary Muppet couple will join a list of presenters that already includes such celebrities as Halle Barry, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Ellie Kemper, Jennifer Lopez, Emma Stone, and Kristen Wiig. This will mark the Muppets’ fifth appearance at the Academy Awards.

Unfortunately, this Muppet appearance currently appears to be the only one scheduled for the ceremony. While the song “Man or Muppet” from the recent hit film The Muppets is nominated for Best Song, Oscar producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer have decided not to allow the nominated songs to be performed during the broadcast. In response, a petition has been created in support of the Muppets being able to perform, which, as of this writing, has garnered over 66,000 signatures. You can sign the petition here.

The sequel would be based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ second novel, The Gods of Mars (John Carter is largely based on Burroughs’ first novel, A Princess of Mars). Walt Disney Studios has yet to greenlight the sequel, and whether or not it will move forward will depend on the success of the film when it makes its theatrical debut next month.

John Carter will be released in theaters March 9, 2012.
