Whole day driving my car around Johor Bahru for visiting customers and unexpected evening I saw this beautiful scenery. Ya' cows hanging around at modern residential park. We hardly to see cows hanging around at newly build park. When I saw these cows and I will only think of countryside. Cows grazing happily in the fields and the calm peaceful environment helps me to think relaxing thoughts and provides a way to help me escape the stresses of every day life.

Thanks lord' I was rite in time to past by and snap down this beautiful scenery....

In the mood

"In the mood" of a cozy weekend we decided to make use of some leftover wood to make a woody bench. Indeed we have a lovely work here. The effort we put in and we get something new.

This is a piece of our soul, a piece of feeling and taste. Inexpensive can be expensive.

Just nice to fill in my car porch. Think before throw something away, they might be something new and trendy. Who knows ...

Needles: Set of 5dpns 2.5mm

Abbreviations

k: knit

p: purl

sl: slip

ssk: slip 2 stitches as if to knit and then k2tog through the back loop

sts: stitches

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

Cuff

- Cast on 40sts onto dpn, then transfer onto 4 (10sts per needle), join in the round making sure not to twist the cast on edge.

- Work 18 rounds of k2 p2 rib

Heel & heel flap

- Separate 20sts for heel, and knit 15 rows, making sure to slip the first stitch on every row purlwise.

- Turn the heel with short rows as follows:

Row 1: sli1 st, k12, ssk, k1, turn

Row 2: sli1 st, p7, p2tog, p1, turn

Row 3: sli1 st, k8, ssk, k1, turn

Row 4: sl1 st, p9, p2tog, p1, turn

Gusset

- Pick up 8sts on each side of the heel and divide heel sts evenly so that the row begins in the middle of the bottom of the foot.

Everyday there is so many pamphlets and brochures in our letterbox. We can actually make use of these pamphlets or brochures instead of chuck into our dustbin.

Ah, some lifestyle changes. Lately I was busy with Sasha, my new family member. She is a Golden Retriever and she's only 2 months +. Seriously - I'm putting down some weight after taking care of Sasha.

So on the first day when I bring Sasha back home, I sweat a lots until my whole t-shirt is getting wet. Playing with her and keep cleaning up her poo poo and pee pee. Now is much better although I'm still sweating when playing and clean her up but not that serious compare to the first day when I bring her back home, maybe I am already use to it. So this is my new routine of daily lifestyle. I'm happy to have Sasha with us. She bring us so much happiness and fill of joy.

I’m neither a good writer nor a good reader either. I prefer to see pictures especially those in bright and colorful pictures. So normally I keep posting pictures and less writing. Basically I’m a self taught knitter. My mom’ she’s taught me how to begin knit and my sis’ she taught me how to begin crochet. Talent needs to be polished and beside of talent also interest so that only I can master the art of knitting very well. But I can say my knitting is better than crocheting. Some people were telling me knitting patterns are much nicer than crochet patterns but I don’t think so, I say both are nice.

I stop knitting & crocheting for years. Living in a hectic life and got myself into hypertension so I try to slow down myself and started my knitting again. I have to say I find it relaxing and knitting brings me peace of mind. I enjoyed knitting very much. Slowly I try to share my finish on EBAY. The very first finish I sold on EBAY is a scarf. I was so excited when I get this order. This is not just about earning money but also encouragement and assure to me. So I further my creative spirit that thrive beyond myself and start blogging by sharing my knitting finish on blog.

I never realize there are so many crafters out there like me. We all have the passion of creative. Blogging’ this is also another learning step for me. There are so many things to learn from blogging. It is worth to pursuing.

Fry sticky cake (年糕).

Basically when come to Chinese Lunar New Year we can found these sticky cake (年糕) was selling everywhere in Malaysia. I believe other country they can be found in Chinatown (唐人街).
In old days I still remember my mom and my grandma use to be fry this sticky cake with flour together with tapioca. Somehow the sticky cake will melt and the whole pot and plates will become sticky and feel irritating.

Nowadays we people always looking forward for a convenient way for doing something. By using spring roll skin and this is much easier. Cut the sticky cake into pieces and wrap it up with spring roll skins.

Ribena + Apple Cider Vinegar Juice

Weather in Malaysia is hot! I don't like hot weather but what to do, there's nothing we can do for the weather. Some people says sunshine is delicious but to me I hate perspire so I don't like sunshine.

You must be curious what to do with the pictures posted here and I keep talking about weather. Sometimes I will browse internet on how to bring down blood pressure and I come across some articles were saying that apple cider vinegar can help on bringing down blood pressure. But of course the taste is not good if you just drink like this.

But I can tell you if you add a 10ml of apple cider vinegar into your Ribena and that is perfect! I couldn't say this method can bring down blood pressure or not but for very sure this is the way you will feel soothing, relief from thirst. When weather is too hot we probably had a problem with our stomach like indigestion or heartburn, Ribena + Apple Cider Vinegar Juice may also help. But don't over consump and to those have stomach problem please don't try.

Mandarin Orange enzymes

Previously I was wonder, I've left over so many mandarin oranges and such a wasted if I just left it to damage and throw it away. So I've decided make use of these mandarin oranges by making enzymes.
This is my very 1st time of making enzyme's. So just for sharing how I working out with this.
Basically the steps will be as following:-

You will need a glass containers, wash and dry before use.
Wash and dry these mandarin oranges before cutting.
I use sugar bar but you may use brown sugar or either lump/rock sugar.
Layered it with sugar bar. Remember the last layer should be sugar bar on top of it.
Sealed up and leave it 14 days for fermentations process.

Ta da ... this is the result after 14 days of fermentations process. Next I thought of making tomatoes enzymes.
