What a year it was. Last year I did a similar mix (featuring 20 tracks in 60 minutes) but this time I decided to go the extra mile- so many great tunes, it was hard to leave something out. All these tunes are very special to me as they joined me while working, dancing, working out, laughing, crying, walking, etc. It’s funny how someone’s year can be described in 60 minutes, but believe me it was one hell of a trip to make this mix. And a lot of fun, too!

2011 had some amazing high points. In April I returned to the booth for a special set (inside one of Lisbon’s most popular clubs) and went to Algarve in July to play as well. As a fan, I had the chance to travel to London and attend the unbelievable “Eric Prydz in Concert” which was the night of my life, meet Fritz Kalkbrenner, Hardwell, see Thomas Gold, Gui Boratto, Swedish House Mafia, Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Interpol, The National, dEUS and many more. I hope I do it all over again in 2012 and I’d like to wish all of you a Happy New Year!

So here’s another mix for all of you guys, this was a submission I made for the pretty awesome Funkagenda competition, where not only would he judge a 60 minute mix but also your remix of his track “Shinjuku”, which obviously would have to be in there. I didn’t win but it was a lot of fun to take part of this remix/dj competition, that’s for sure!

Here’s a nice mix to warm you up in Winter time! I’ve been on holidays this month so hopefully I will bring another mix this month… so much great music out there!

This one kicks off with the huge FLG remix of Coldplay‘s Paradise and slowly builds into a more progressive house state until I finish things off with 2011 versions of 2 big classics (Faithless‘ Insomnia and PPK‘s ResuRection ) and one of my tunes of the year, Jeremy Olander‘s remix of “Circles”. In this set there’s also a remix of mine, hope you like it!

I did a guest mix for Anita Vai ao Mel this week, a weekly podcast that covers a pretty broad range of musical genres. Not only that, but it is frequently updated with news concerning the music scene, especially (but not exclusively) in Portugal. If you’re into discovering new bands and relive some old gems, you should definitely check it out!

I created a 20 minute mix filled with progressive melodies which I guess is what I am truly known for. Watch out for a remix of my one in there as well!

I am back with my favorite mix of the year so far! Yes, believe the hype, I am loving this one. I have been busy with another projects and hopefully I can share the news with all of you very soon. In the meantime, here are 70+ minutes of great music…

In this one I start with the progressive anthem “In the Air” with the HUGE Hardwell remix, which sets the tone for a banging mix that will create a trancey feel at the end. Watch out for the huge Gabriel & Dresden remix from 2006 “Swing 2 Harmony” and Junkie XL‘s classic remix of “Seragaki”. I really love including some classic, special songs to me in my mixes and I hope you enjoy them as well. There really are some amazing tunes in this one.

Since I wasn’t able to bring you a mix in August, here is the second one in September. Compared to the previous one, this one is a very different journey, as I start more Electro and slowly build into Trance. Yes, I still love trance but I am bit away from the scene lately so it is hard to find quality tunes- either that or the scene really is different now, which I refuse to accept. I still call myself a TranceAddict, anyway!

In this one watch out for the big hit from Dirty South and Thomas Gold “Alive”, along with NERVO‘s new track “We’re All No One”. Some classics in here too, as the HUGE Gabriel & Dresden remix (still one of my favorite tracks) and the awesome, uplifting, dreamy “Skydive” as the big go-home track. On another note, “Something for your mind” must be the best trance track I have heard in a LONG time!

Well took me long enough, but I am finally back with a mix! These one is full of collaborations and I think it’s a pretty cool journey! It starts with the awesome James Blunt remix and goes into deeper, progressive stuff before coming out again with banging house. I decided to include some “Trance 2.0″ too, by the 2 big trendsetters, Hardwell and Laidback Luke. Such talented guys!

Smolengrad is also present, one of my tracks of 2011, and what do you think of the amazing Paul Kalkbrenner remix to finish things off?

Hey guys, just a quick update to let you all know that I will be playing at “We Love Albufeira” next Saturday night! I am expected to play from 3AM to 6AM, but who knows right?

We Love Albufeira is shaping to be one hell of an event as DJs such as Alesso, Gregor Salto, AN21, Gregory or Max Vangeli will be around throughout July and August, so if you’re in town be sure to drop by!

DJ Bammer – July 2011 “Just Vocals” Mix

Last year I made a short 35 minute mix where all tracks had vocals. According to some friends, this is the mix they enjoy the most, so I decided to give “Just vocals” another edition. This time, it’s about 70 minutes long and is a combination of great tracks from the present and some old gems I used to hammer every day. Stuart Price/Thin White Duke/Jacques Lu Cont was the man back then (well, I’m sure he still is), and he has 3 killer remixes of his in this mix!

Many voices from the pop world are here, such as Florence, Dave Gahan, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Adele or Gwen Stefani- and somehow, they all fit well in this mix and my style, at least I’d like to think so!
