So I had time this week to prepare another mix just for you. This is what I would listen to get me ready to go out on a friday night, hence the name. It has a slower tempo, slowly building towards some house anthems and then slowing down again. How good is PvD’s remix of Revolver? Madonna never gets it wrong, does she?

I can’t believe they were both ordered on the same day and it took them 18 extra days to ship, but at least it has finally arrived!

This is a very different mix from what I usually do, with a blend of rock (U2, Radiohead, Moby) and progressive house, getting tougher in the end. “I said” is a huge BOMB and I think “A Sad Day” is a great “after the storm” track to finish it off!

Resident Advisor is one of the scene's most relevant websites

Resident Advisor has just released their list of the top 100 dance tracks of the decade, according to the RA community. Like in any other list, there are many questionable choices, but overall I don’t think this list summarizes what happened during the first decade of the millennium. I have listened to every track until #70 and was very surprised with the majority of choices and the impact of minimal and techno on this list.

Happy to see Junkie XL’s “Beauty Never Fades” in the list, even if at #90, but seriously, where is “Pjanoo“? Where is Deadmau5? Only one Stuart Price production? And no trance anthems?

This is a very energetic mix, I tried to put together some of my favorite banging tracks and I am pretty happy with the result. I’ve been mixing more and more with my lovely Ecler Evo 5 and am slowly creating my new unique sound!
