Redlight - Get Out My Head

2011-11-18T09:50:00.000+00:00

Release date: 23/12/2011 Digital release date: 23/12/2011 Label:MTA Records

Redlight is a Bristol raised, London based artist navigating the unnamed airspace between house, bass and beyond. Having already crafted a handful of big club tunes which have won over fans and followers including Skream, Switch, Jack Beats, A Trak, Jackmaster, Zinc and Annie Mac, 2010 saw the release of two dance floor destroyers. The first, ‘Stupid’ on Digital Soundboy featuring the vocals of Roses Gabor and the massive second What You Talking About!? Featuring Ms Dynamite on Chase & Status' MTA Records. Latest release from 2011 was the genre crossing track Source 16 which still destroys dance floors every time it’s played.

The follow up to What You Talking About!? on MTA, is the ridiculously catchy banger Get Out My Head. Featuring the vocal talents of Nicole Jackson, a relatively new collaborator and live performer with Redlight, here he really demonstrates his artistic ability to blend the past and the present. Taking classic house of the mid 90's and mixing it with his signature fresh production style and sonics, Redlight creates a beat that has been punishing club sound systems for the last couple of months.

Get Out My Head is due for release on December 23rd through MTA records. The flip,Vampires, is a punchy, mysterious bass heavy track benefitting from additional vocals from Takura, a long time collaborator of label owners Chase & Status, Sub Focus and many more. The full digital package also sees a dubstep remix from Bristolian cohort Joker, fresh from the release of his critically acclaimed debut LP release.

To officially announce Get Out My Head, Redlight put together an exclusive free mix ‘Redlight Music,’ 38 minutes of mainly unreleased material produced over the last year in the Redlight studio. It includes ‘Mosquito’, ‘Planet X’ and 3 brand new tracks exclusively for it, plus special Redlight edits that normally only get an airing in his live sets.

We simply love the old skool meets nu skool vibes of 'Get Out My Head' and reckon it could be one of THE first big ones for 2012.

Jes & Ronski Speed - Can't Stop

2011-11-10T22:08:00.000+00:00

Magik Muzik
JES teamed up with Ronski Speed for her new single entitled “Can’t Stop”, released on the Magik Muzik imprint.

The queen of rocktronica is always immediately recognizable by her trademark vocals. Think of all the artists who ever asked to work with JES, just to have her voice in their production. Listening to “Can’t Stop” makes it once again perfectly clear why that is. At the same time JES herself also likes to work on co-productions and in this case Ronski Speed is the artist of choice. As a fruit of their labor we can now enjoy a myriad of killer remixes that will ring soon in all clubs all over the world. It’s a driving and energetic trance cut that will lift everybody up and especially the remixes will only confirm that notion for every DJ and every style of EDM.

>From the synth driven sounds of Bobina to the ISOS style programming of Stoneface & Terminal to the clubby version of Coco Channel to the maximal house approach of Disco Fries or the techy Aerofeel5 remix; it’s all just one slamming pack of incredibly well produced eletronic dance. And indeed everyone will soon say that they “Can’t Stop” dancing to this new JES single!

NERVO Featuring Steve Aoki & Afrojack - We’re All No One

2011-11-10T22:00:00.000+00:00

Positiva
Multi-talented duo NERVO are set to unleash their massive new single “We’re All No One” featuring superstar DJ’s Steve Aoki and Afrojack. NERVO recently celebrated their 1st Beatport #1 song with the official Tomorrowland Festival anthem “The Way We See The World” which they co-wrote and co-produced with Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. “The Way We See The World” joins the growing list of NERVO club hits which includes 2010’s “This Kind Of Love” and “Irresistible” both featuring vocalist Ollie James, illustrating their rising status in the Electrontic Dance scene while being equally at home in the world of contemporary pop.

"We're All No One" has already been smashing the Beatport Top 100, where the Hook & Sling Remix is still smashing the Top 30. Hook & Sling deliver for the bigroom masses whilst the NERVO Goes To Paris mixes are a more darker electro affair. Jungle Fiction deliver for the twisted masses and US DJ/Producer Dave Aude chucks in a very familiar riff that will have the more funkier floors going in a complete frenzy. Last but no means least we have the Autoerotique Remixes which will have the likes of Chuckie/Sidney Samson going nuts over.

NERVO have spent much of the last two years touring the world and climbing the ranks to become the hottest DJ duo on the circuit. Having spent most of the summer opening for Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj on the Femme Fatale tour and on the traveling electronic music festival, Identity, the girls’ will return to the U.S. for a few shows before the new year including October, November and December dates of their monthly Las Vegas residence at the Wynn Hotel Group (full schedule below).

As songwriters, Liv & Mim recently added Nicole Scherzinger to their growing list of artists to record one of their songs. They penned Scherzingers’ just announced next single “Try For Me.” They co-wrote one of David Guetta’s new songs “Night Of Your Life” featuring Jennifer Hudson from Guetta’s latest album ‘Nothing But The Beat.’ The last song they co-wrote for Guetta, “When Love Takes Over” featuring Kelly Rowland won a Grammy award and reached #1 in eleven countries.

Track Listing:

1. Original Mix
2. NERVO Goes To Paris Remix
3. Dave Aude Club Dub Mix
4. Hook N Sling Remix
5. Jungle Fiction Remix
6. Autoerotique Remix
7. NERVO Goes To Paris Remix (Instrumental)
