Synopsis

‘With Love to Obama’ is comedy set against the backdrop of global recession/meltdown that originated in USA.

The film traces the journey of Om Shashtri, an American citizen of Indian origin, who loses all his wealth overnight to the global recession & has been asked to vacate his home by the bank unless he pays up $100,000 (mortgaged amount) within 30 days.

Seeing no other option Om comes to India to sell a small piece of an ancestral property. But within days of landing in India he is kidnapped by a ‘recession-hit’ underworld gang who think that he is still a millionaire.

What happens to Om, is he able to save his home, how did the ‘poor’ gangster cope with their ‘poor’ catch & what do small town Indian gangsters have to say to President Obama…is largely forms the rest of the story.

The film, showcases how global recession/ meltdown impacted lives from an America based businessman to underworld dons in the dusty plains of small town India.

Synopsis

Ramaa – the Saviour is a fast-paced, edge of your seat jungle adventure film with a central cast of children. It’s a story of six kids – Rohan , Riddhi , Kunal , Komal , Sameer and Saanjh. Rohan and Riddhi are siblings studying in a public school with Sameer while Kunal and Komal study in an international school. They face each other in a dance competition where they try to defeat each other but competition results in a tie. As a winning prize, these 6 kids become first to play a newly launched video game – The Last Battle.

While playing the game, the game room starts flickering and before anyone could realize, kids find themselves on a very beautiful island.

The children, while exploring the island, run into a spot of trouble. Riddhi is attacked by huge giant man like a creature Vali who is almost double the size of human being. But she is rescued by a young man – Ramaa who is been living in this jungle all alone throughout his life.

Danger arrives in the form of a boat commanded by Kali with a small army of mercenaries, and a brilliant and beautiful scientist assistant – Samara.

The rest of the tale unfolds as Ramaa and the kids come to their friend’s rescue, resulting in Kali demanding Ramaa to show him the way to the river. How will Ramaa and children get out of this spot and save their lives? And will they be able to defeat Kali and save the treasure? Will they be able to get back to the world they have come from? All these questions are answered in the second half off the film.

An gamming adventures ride which will transport every kid viewing the film to this beautiful island of Azzra full off magic, gizmos, live interaction with wild animals, living in the jungle adventure, having to face all the danger and survive it on their own and a lot more, but not alone they will want to be accompanied with their parents who will equally enjoy the cinematic experience of a life time.

অনেক বিতর্কের বোঝা মাথায় নিয়েও টানা দুই জয়ে সিরিজে সমতায় ফিরেছে পাকিস্তান। পাঁচ ওয়ানডে সিরিজে প্রথম দুটি ম্যাচ জিতে টেস্ট ও টি২০-এর মতো সহজেই ওয়ানডে সিরিজ জয়ের পথেই হাঁটছিল স্বাগতিক ইংল্যান্ড। কিন্তু স্বাগতিকদের এ সহজ পথকে বন্ধুর করে দিয়েছে ঘুরে দাঁড়ানো পাকিস্তান। এমন অবস্থায় আজ সাউদাম্পটনে পঞ্চম ও শেষ ম্যাচটি দু'দলের জন্যই এক অঘোষিত ফাইনাল। এ ম্যাচ যে জিতবে সিরিজ তাদেরই।
দিবারাত্রির এ অলিখিত ফাইনাল ম্যাচে এক বিরল কীর্তি গড়ার সুযোগ শহিদ আফ্রিদিদের সামনে। ক্রিকেট অনিশ্চয়তার খেলা তারপরও বলা যায় সিরিজে ০-২ ব্যবধানে পিছিয়ে পড়ার পর টানা তিন জয়ে সিরিজ জেতার কৃতিত্ব ক্রিকেটে বিরল। এর সর্বশেষ কীর্তিটি বাংলাদেশের। ২০০৫ সালে পাঁচ ম্যাচের ওয়ানডে সিরিজে জিম্বাবুয়ের বিপক্ষে প্রথম দুটি ম্যাচে হেরে ০-২ ব্যবধানে পিছিয়ে পড়ে বাংলাদেশ। এরপর টানা তিন জয়ে সিরিজ নিজেদের করে নিতে সমর্থ হয় স্বাগতিক বাংলাদেশ। আজ সেই বিরল কীর্তির সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে আফ্রিদির পাকিস্তান।
স্বাগতিক ইংল্যান্ডের বিপক্ষে পাকিস্তানের সর্বশেষ দুটি জয় প্রায় একই ধরনের। দুটি ম্যাচেই টস জিতে আগে ব্যাট করেছে আফ্রিদির দল। ওভালে আগে ব্যাট করতে নেমে তাদের সংগ্রহ ছিল ২৪১। সোমবার লর্ডসে টসজয়ী পাকিস্তানের সংগ্রহ ছিল ২৬৫ রান। দুটি ম্যাচেই ব্যাটসম্যানের এনে দেওয়া মাঝারিমানের পুঁজি সাফল্যের সঙ্গে রক্ষা করেছে মোহাম্মদ আমের-মোহাম্মদ আসিফবিহীন পাকিস্তানি বোলিং। বল হাতে আগুন ঝরাচ্ছেন দুই ফাস্ট বোলার উমর গুল ও শোয়েব আখতার। আর ঘূর্ণি ভেল্কিবাজিতে স্বাগতিক ব্যাটসম্যানদের দিকভ্রান্ত করে ছাড়ছেন সাঈদ আজমল ও শহিদ আফ্রিদি। ইংলিশ ব্যাটসম্যানদের এ মুহূর্তে সবচেয়ে বড় আতঙ্কের নাম গুল। গুল সব কিছুই গুলিয়ে দিচ্ছেন প্রতিপক্ষ ব্যাটসম্যানদের। গত দুটি ম্যাচে ১০ উইকেট শিকার করেছেন তিনি। ওভালে হারার পর দলের ব্যাটিং শক্তি বাড়ানোর জন্য ইয়ান বেলকে দলভুক্ত করেছিল ইংলিশ ম্যানেজমেন্ট। কিন্তু তাতেও লর্ডসে বড় হার এড়াতে পারেনি স্বাগতিকরা। ৪১ বলের ইনিংসে ২৭ রান করেন বেল।
চরম উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ সিরিজে ফাইনালের মর্যাদায় উন্নীত হওয়া ম্যাচে দু'দলের জন্যই টস খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এ সিরিজে চার ম্যাচের মধ্যে তিনটিতেই ম্যাচ জিতেছে আগে ব্যাটিং করা দল। পাকিস্তানের জন্য চ্যালেঞ্জটা আরও বেশি। কেননা তাদের দুটি জয়ই এসেছে আগে ব্যাট করে। এমনিতেই দিবারাত্রির ম্যাচে পরে ব্যাট করে জেতাটা সব সময়ই কঠিন। এ সিরিজে পাকিস্তানের প্রথম দুটি ম্যাচে হারের প্রধানতম কারণ ছিল তাদের ফিল্ডিং ব্যর্থতা। দ্বিতীয় ম্যাচে ২৯৪ রান করেও এ ফিল্ডিংয়ের কারণেই হারতে হয় তাদের। ম্যাচে ১২৬ রানের একটি ইনিংস খেলে দলকে জয়ের পথ দেখান স্ট্রাউস। ব্যক্তিগত ২৩ রানের মাথায় তার সহজ ক্যাচ ফেলে দেন পাকিস্তানি ফিল্ডার মোহাম্মদ ইরফান।
