Dearest readers,our regulars and new customers,Assalamualaikum,salam sejahtera and good day.
I hope everyone in a good condition,in a good mood and in a good appetite.This time my writing is about our new food in D'litar Cafe.Since Ramadan and after Hari Raya(eid),We are still stick with our previous menu which is considered as ordinary menu with simple food as well.We have a good feed back by customers but we also have a constructive feed back which is about food update.And as a cook of this restaurant and as the one who responsible for the quality of the food,I've been working hard everyday to invent the new menu and the new taste for the restaurant and also for the restaurant signature dishes.And finally,few weeks after eid,which is today D'litar Cafe now produces few new items in the menu.It's it modern European food with a little bit twist of local taste.OK,let me tell you briefly about it :)

Soups:We have Fresh creamy selected wild mushroom & asparagus soup which is mixed with a little bit of coconut milk instead of cooking cream.The coconut milk produces a good aroma of the soup.

Fresh tomato & Carrot soup:This is the most delicious soup for me :).Carrot produces a good color for this tomato soup.This is special touch of the chef with his secret blend.It's taste like it have cheese in it but there is no cheese.This is highly recommended soup.Diet people,There you go :)

French Onion soup:The trick to a great French onion soup is starting with a good stock.French onion soup is usually made with a beef stock.And another important element is the caramelization of the onions.this is slow cooking soup but it is worth to wait.The browning and the caramelizing of the onions bring out the sweetness in them.

Main Course:Epton's Grilled lamb cutlet with sweet corn mash patato/with tyme balsamic sauce,Epton's Fish & chips with tartare and mushy green beans,Epton's baked fish fillet/with salsa and creamy lemon sauce and Grilled Asparagus with eggplant paste.It is all available now and D'litar cafe with reasonable price.After few food testing recently,we proudly present to all of you our new and our own signature food as listed above.For more information please come to D'litar Cafe ,to experience one of the best fusion food in town.Also available:Local food (Malay Cuisine).Thank you very much.Looking Forward to too see you at D'litar.God bless,Assalamualaikum,selamat sejahtera and good day.

But how did this exciting festival originate? History of Eid-ul-Fitr

According to the Islamic tradition, it was in the year 610 A.D. that Prophet Muhammad, while meditating in Mount Hira one night during the month of Ramadan, had a vision of the angel Jibril (also known as Gabriel) appearing before him telling his name to Muhammad and declaring to the latter that he was the messenger of God. Jibril said to him : "Iqraa" (meaning "read" or "recite").

To this Muhammad replied that he could not read.
Jibril embraced Muhammad and after releasing him repeated: "Iqraa."

"I cannot read." Muhammad answered again.
Jibril hugged Muhammad for a third time and asked him to recite what he said. He told him

"Recite in the name of your Lord Who creates.
Creates man from a clot.
Recite: And your Lord is the Most Bountiful
Who teaches by the pen,
He teaches man what he does not know."
Though the angel informed him that he was the messenger of Allah and was going to be a prophet for his people, Muhammad was greatly disturbed at his meeting with Jibril. It is believed that he at first considered the angel as an evil spirit. It was his wife Khadijah who allayed his fears reminding him of his good conduct until then and that it was impossible for him to be visited by a demon. Even her much learned old cousin Waraqa ibn Nawfal convinced him that he was indeed a messenger of God and the angel who visited Muhammad was the one who had also visited the Hebrew prophet Moses.

Muhammad was of forty years of age at this time.

In the following twenty-three years, Muhammad was visited many times by Jibril who taught him the holy knowledge in verses. This sacred knowledge consists of the code of conduct that Allah wants his people to maintain on earth. It is inscribed in verses which are compiled in the holy Qur'an, the most sacred book in Islam.

It is said that the sacred knowledge was revealed to Muhammad during the month of Ramadan. As a mark of respect to Allah and to show gratitude to him for the true knowledge that he gifted to his sons and daughters, the prophet asked his followers (and therefore the followers of Islam) to pass the month of Ramadan in fasting, prayers and other austerities and end the month-long non-indulgence with festive celebrations. This is how Eid-Ul-Fitr was born. This three-day long celebration ends the ninth month and begins the tenth month of Shawwal with absolute happiness and contentment for the ability to sacrifice for Allah. The aim of this festival is to promote peace, strengthen the feeling of brotherhood and bring oneself back to the normal course of life after a month-long period of self-denial and religious devotion.

Eat Right and Feel Great During Ramadan

This year, fasting is a bit of a challenge considering the high temperatures and long summer days to endure without food or water. With the right planning and intention to keep our bodies healthy, fasting can actually be much easier than we realize. Use these tips to eat and hydrate in a healthy way, giving you the energy and endurance needed to get through the month while maintaining a healthy body.

Guard Your Suhoor

Make enough time for it and make sure it’s a healthy one.
Eat a complete meal with a variety of fruits, whole grains and protein, such as beans or eggs. Choose from leafy greens, and water-rich fruits such as watermelon, peaches and papaya.
Avoid refined sugars and too many carbohydrates, which can leave you feeling exhausted by mid-day.
Drink plenty of water or real juice, but don’t overstuff yourself with these, either.

Don’t Sleep the Day Away

This is particularly important after the suhoor meal because digestion and circulation cannot occur if you spend half the day in bed.
Additionally, you will slow yourself down by sleeping during the daylight hours meant for being productive.

Conserve Those Calories

Avoid too much talking—yes, talking takes up a lot of energy and can actually bring on headaches. You need as much of your energy to get through the day so avoid unnecessary and long-winded conversations, especially futile ones that have nothing to do with work, family or the deen.
Take it easy when doing errands or working around the house by maintaining a leisurely pace. Walk, don’t run and you’ll avoid losing the energy needed for your ibadah. We should remain productive, but choose our energy output wisely.

Break Your Fast Calmly

Don’t be in a rush to eat. You won’t digest your food properly and could make yourself sick. Instead, break fast with a healthy room-temperature fluid like water, pure fruit juice or warm milk, as cold drinks are hard on your system. Have a couple of dates, figs, and a handful of nuts. Then, pray your salah and return to the table for a nice meal.

Ease Into the Iftar Meal

Warm the stomach and slowly acclimate your body to food by having soup as a first course to the iftar meal. It’s not only easy on the stomach, but it also prevents over-eating with heavier foods that generally come afterwards.

This menu was created for you and your friends or family to taste and experience the special menu that is not listed in restaurant menu.The menu will be changed everyday. Before it serve to your plate,it will be baked in high heat oven to maintain the juice of the meat and also it will become caramelized. And it will finally mixed with rosmary yogurt mint sauce.

So at d'Litar Cafe there are two fusion Pastas available now. Beef Rendang, Spaghetti, and Thai Green Curry Spaghetti. There are more fusion food coming soon.
