Meg and Kevin were married at the old State Building in Hartford, CT following an amazing party at the Society Room of Hartford, one of my absolute favorite venues! This was by far our hardest edit to date because we had SO MUCH amazing footage to work with but in the end we were able to produce a perfect look of Meg and Kevin’s wedding day!

We also had the privilege of working with one of our favorite photographers, Jerome Braga of Studio1923 – Jerome always produces the most phenomenal pictures!

From start to finish everyone was up and moving. I had the pleasure working with Jerome Braga of Studio 1923 who is one of my favorite photographers ever – I may be a bit biased considering he shot my wedding, but trust me, he rocks!

This past week was spent in Charleston, South Carolina for In[Focus] 2012 with about 200 of the best wedding and event filmmakers in the world. There, we were educated on everything from branding to lenses, story telling to the business side of things and beyond.

Outside of the seminars, there was more to learn. Everyone there was an open book. If you had questions, or I was asked questions they would be answered without hesitation. We quickly learned it has nothing to do with being competitors and everything to do with bettering ourselves, our skills and our businesses and growing the industry.

Outside of all I learned, I walked away with dozens of new friends who I know I can lean on for anything, especially business questions.

Keeping up with education is SO important, especially in an industry that is ever evolving between style and technology. BIG THINGS are coming for 2012 and I cannot wait to share all the new found knowledge and ideas I have.

I cannot wait until In[Focus] 2013!

I met Jim and Justine through friends of mine – 3 different ones to be exact. When I met with them we clicked immediately and I knew this would be an amazing wedding.

They were so sweet together all day. It was easy to see why they were perfect for each other.

Justine and Jim love to DANCE and they are damn good at it! Their first dance was choreographed but it was so good that I question if it was more of them just dancing vs something actually planned.

Between the dance floor and the photobooth all their guests were having a great time and provided us with hours of amazing footage.

We started the day filming in New Haven at the Omni Hotel where both April and Jon were getting ready. It was tight quarters in both rooms but we made it work. Everyone was so friendly that I knew this was going to be an amazing day!

The ceremony was at St Mary’s church in New Haven which is such a beautiful place to film. I think I filmed there 4 times this year!

We then headed to the New Haven Lawn Club for the party. After some formalities the dance floor packed right up and stayed that way the whole night!

Everyone seemed like they had such an amazing time which made our job a piece of cake!

They are two of the strongest people I have ever met and are definitely circled by an amazing support system of family and friends.

Their wedding was such an emotional experience with lots of laughs, tears and dancing.

And add in a team of some of the best wedding vendors out there and there is only one word to sum up this day. Perfect.

I know I have said this many times before and I will say it many times more, but I am SO LUCKY to do what I do! I get to work with and meet the most amazing people and document and create a memory of one of the most important days of their lives. I truly get the BEST couples!

Recently we have come to learn that the wedding and event filmmaking industry is under fire for the use of copyrighted music. We personally are not in any trouble. For the longest time I did not think using music in such a small scale was an issue but with this news making the rounds I decided it would be smart to pull anything questionable. We do license a lot of our music too so currently we are going through all our old films and seeing which ones could have issues if the RIAA ever made it this way. Below you will see some films that are 100% legally licensed.

From here on out we will only be using music we can legally license for our online films. Don’t worry though – there are MANY great songs from the unknown to the ultra-popular available for licensing – it’s like itunes with some legal mambo jambo included. And as always, if you would like to see more of our work we can set up an appointment to meet!

Bree and Jon were married on July 31st in New Rochelle New York at the Surf Club.

I first met Bree with her mom when we were still in Stamford, and as soon as they walked in the door I knew they would be such a fun family to film – they were both so warm and welcoming and easy to chat and with that my mind started flying with ideas for the wedding.

Fast forward to their wedding day and it was perfect – Bree’s whole family was so close to each other it was so sweet to see. Between her mom, grandmother and father’s reactions to her getting ready and walking down the aisle it just makes you smile (and tear up in a happy tear kind of way!).

After the ceremony at St Mary’s church in Stamford, CT, we headed to the reception at the Surf Club. The party took no time to get started – with the exception of the formalities, the dance floor was packed all night long!

At the end of the day we had hours upon hours of footage which made it so hard to make a 10 minute film because there were just so many great shots and moments – but here is what we came up with – I hope you enjoy it as much as we do, what a great wedding to relive or live for the first time!
