ChatGPT simplifies our existence:

· ChatGPT is accessible to all, including students with writing assignments, quizzes, and virtual tests.

· Teachers can use GPT Zero to determine if something was really written by a student.

· Perplexity measures randomness of text:

· Perplexity is a measurement of how well a language model like ChatGPT can predict a sample text.

· Higher perplexity means it is not AI written and lower perplexity means the text is likely generated by AI.

· GPTZero's usefulness needs bounding or context:

· Without bounding or context, GPTZero's perplexity score may not be as useful.

· The range of perplexity needs to be defined to determine what constitutes low and high perplexity.

· GPTZero is a filtering tool that needs to be used cautiously:

· GPTZero was good at producing scores in the range of 11 to 19 for content generated by AI.

· However, the cut off for determining AI-generated content is unclear and needs to be defined contextually.

· GPTZero should be used with supporting evidence before someone or some content can be written off.

Maggi Noddle Trouble : Part II

On June 4th, 2015, Nestle India announced to take the product off the shelves temporarily. However, Paul Bulcke, Nestle's Global Chief Executive said, "The product, Maggi noodles, are safe for consumption."

In a press release Nestle India mentioned:

"The trust of our consumers and the safety of our products is our first priority. Unfortunately, recent developments and unfounded concerns about the product have led to an environment of confusion for the consumer, to such an extent that we have decided to withdraw the product off the shelves, despite the product being safe.We promise that the trusted MAGGI Noodles will be back in the market as soon as the current situation is clarified."

On June 4th, few more states banned Maggi. The name of these states are:

TamilNadu (ban Maggi and three other brands of noodles for 3 months),
Gujarat (ban Maggi for 1 month)
Jammu and Kashmir (ban Maggi for 1 month)
Telangana
Uttarakhand

Even Nepal also announced to test Maggi Noddle

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) given an order to Nestle India. In this order, FSSAI mentioned three major violation, by company, as given below:

Presence of Lead detected in the product in excess of the maximum permissible levels of 2.5 ppm,
Misleading labeling information on the package reading “No added MSG” and
Release of a non-standardised food product in the market, viz. “Maggi Oats Masala Noodles with Tastemaker” without risk assessment and grant of product approval

Maggi Noddle Pulled Nestle India in Trouble

All this started in April 2015, when sample of Maggi Noodles tested by Foodsafety and Drug Administration, Government of Uttar Pradesh (UPFDA) and found that it contains high level of lead and Monosodium Glutamate (MSG). After this, UPFDA also ordered Nestle to recall about 2 lakh (0.2 million) packs of Maggi Noddle.

After this, in last week of May 2015, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India came in picture and collected samples of Maggi Noddle from different parts of country.

On May 29, 2015, UPFDA filed a case against Nestle India Limited (NIL) - manufacturer of Maggi Noddle.

On June 3, 2015, Bihar Court ordered police to file FIR against brand ambassadors of Nestle India which included Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta.

How many packets of Maggi sold by Nestle all over the world?

According to Indian Express, 5.2 billion packets every year in 130 countires.

Permitted level of lead is 2.25 per million (ppm).

Personal Finance II: How to Improve Personal Financial Health

In my previous post (here), I mentioned the three basic rules to improving the financial health of any individual. Now, I am going to talk about the fourth and fifth basic rules:

Fourth: Most of us spend first and then save. But this is just not the way to go about things. If you want to save money, then you have to save first and spend whatever is left after saving. First, you have to spend on yourself i.e., save money for your future requirements then spend on current requirements.

Fifth: Never depend on one source of income. Develop a second source of income regardless of whether you are in service, self employed, or running your own business. You do not know when one source will dry up. You life will be happier and more financially secure as soon as you understand this fifth basic rule and start following it.

Your second source of income could be: a part time job online or offline, income from investments, an online or offline retail store, tuitions, yoga or hobby classes, working as a part time real estate broker, blogging, becoming a member of a multi-level marketing company (such as Amway, Avon, Oriflame, RCM, Tupperware), etc. What you take up depends totally on your skills, interest, and experience. So do not wait. Start thinking...!!

One thing you should understand is that income from the second source will not start flowing in the minute you start working. It needs a lot of time, effort, and passion. And I know you have that!

Here are some quick and very effective tips to improve your financial health:

First and the most important and most effective tip — Destroy all your credit cards. However, before doing this, write down your credit cards’ outstanding amounts, due dates, and other credit card details required while making a payment. Now, cut all the credit cards into four parts and throw them into the dustbin. Believe me, this will be your first major step toward a healthy financial position.
Second, write down all (personal, home, education or other) your outstanding loan amounts in one place with their respective interest rates. Writing down all your debts (loans) in one place will give you a clear picture of your various and total liabilities.
Third, Start writing down all your income and expenses month-wise and date-wise. You can use a diary, MS Office Excel, or Google Drive (docs.google.com). Make a habit of writing down each and every expense every single day. Otherwise you will forget.

In my view this is not the right solution to stop public-urination. I am also against public-urination but this method has lot of drawbacks. Some of them are as follows:

What is the guarantee that person will not do same thing again.
How can 'anti public-urination activists' justified the use tanker for this purpose which run on subsidized diesel.
Last but not least, What about the WATER? All of us know water is very precious and a big population all over the world did not have access of water (forget clean or not).

That why i think anti public-urination activists: The Clean Indian should use some other method to stop public-urination.
