Spokesman Review Paints a Target on a North Idaho School

Mr. Thomas Clouse of the Spokesman Review wrote an article about a private North Idaho school that is raffling off an gun. The raffle had been planned for more than six months by parents. This year it happens to be an AR-15.

In his article he shared a link to the school board of trustees on the school webpage, effectively painting a target on them. Giving liberal trolls and jerks the information they needed to harass and threaten the school. Click here to read the Spokesman Review Article.

Reproductive Coercion

It is when someone controls whether, and when, you fall pregnant. It is any behavior aimed at establishing and maintaining power and control by restricting a woman's reproductive autonomy.

Can you believe this?

It takes two to have sex and make a baby. Being worried about getting pregnant is more common when you are having sex with someone you are not married to.

There is a simple solution to this - get married! Having sex in a marriage relationship lowers stress, it makes the odds that the child will be wanted higher, and less risk of a STD.

Are Children a Blessing or a Curse?

Why are more and more women wishing that they never had kids?
Why are women believing the lie that their life would have been happier and more fulfilled without children?

There are groups on Facebook, Quora, and Reddit that are dedicated to the topic of regretting having children. People in the groups talk about if their accomplishments would have been more spectacular, how they would have been able to travel more, be ahead in their career, etc. These are all legitimate thoughts, but they are focus on the here and now not the eternal.

It is understandable that a woman is more than just a mother, just like a man is more than just a father. There is so much more to defining a person than one role that they have. Why the rejection of it though?

Are we supporting our young moms enough? Are we doing our best to encourage our men to want their spouse to stay home with the children, instead of working? Are we encouraging our young adults to wait until they are married to have sex? Raising children in a marriage is hard enough, to raise a child as a single parent is even harder.

Keep in mind what Proverbs 31 says about a biblical woman. She is not sitting at home all day alone. She is working, helping others, and is blessed.

Consider praying for those mothers that are listening to the world and not to God. Let us pray that God would open their eyes, and let their hearts open up to Him. It's much easier to be a mom when you know you have God taking care of you!

Same Sex Attraction Is Developmental

The mainstream media and Hollywood would like you to believe that a person is born with attraction to the same sex. Time and time again, scientific studies show that same sex attraction is the result of developmental factors, not genetics.

"...a person can have what's called predisposition that could be because of what happens to them or doesn't happen to them, developmentally, to develop same-sex attraction....but they are not born this way. Nothing predetermines them to become this way."

LGBTQ people are more likely to have experienced childhood sexual abuse. "Rates of depression, anxiety, OCD, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and alcohol/drug dependence were significantly higher."

We need to have compassion for the LGBTQ. They need prayer. They need guidance on what to do morally and spiritually. Remember compassion "...is not letting people do whatever they want..."

Let us join in resisting evil and resisting the prevailing trends!

Post Falls City Council Seat 4 - Candidate - Steve Anthony

Steve worked for the City of Coeur d'Alene as the Parks and Rec Director for over twenty years. He just recently retired from that position. While working for the City of Coeur d'Alene he was a part of the planning committee that gave input on what the city will do with the 29 acres of Bureau of Land Management along Seltice. At a recent candidate event Anthony said, "You can't cluster people too close together - they need room. The kids need places to play. I am an advocate of open space."

Post Falls City Council Seat 4 - Candidate - Bobby Wilhelm

There are six people running for Post Falls City Council - Seat 4. The candidates are: Bob Flowers, Richard Whitehead, Bobby Wilhelm, Steve Anthony, Joe Bodman, and James Steffenson. This post will focus on Bobby Wilhelm.

Wilhelm is a fourth generation native of North Idaho and Post Falls. His family owns Bob's 21 Club on Seltice in Post Falls. He previous attended Post Falls High School. As a young man he spent sixteen years in prison on drug charges related to drug dealing. Part of those year in prison include three years in federal prison for assault. The assault charge stems from when Wilhelm struck a drug agent with his car when three pounds of coke were discovered in it.

After being released from prison Bobby turned his life around. He has been clean and sober for twenty years. He worked his way up into a management position at Dave Smith Frontier Sales in Coeur d'Alene. He is currently a realtor at Remax Infinity Group.

Bobby has a video on Youtube explaining the main issue he is running on. He projects that 90,000 people will live in Post Falls in twenty years. He wants to slow the sprawl already happening in Post Falls. He is for no growth.

Recommend not voting for Bobby Wilhelm.

Richard has a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Public Administration from Midwestern State University. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He was a police officer in the Army. Richard is a former lieutenant at the Travis County Sheriff's Office and the Baytown Police Department - both of which are in Texas. He is currently the CEO of Whitehead and Associates - a public safety training and consulting firm.

Richard's priorities as a councilman would be: public safety, roads, fiscal responsibility, and responsible growth.

He believes in growth, "and you can't stifle any property owner from selling his property and a developer buying it and wanting to grow. But rules should be enforced!" You can't prevent growth, "it needs to be managed intelligently."

Bob grew up in Post Falls. He served three years in the army and then came back to North Idaho.
He is a contribution project manager currently.

Bob is running for city council because he wants the city council to focus on jobs that pay a living wage. He also wants controlled growth. Bob says that he is good with money and would be a responsible councilman. Bob ran for city council in 2009 against Linda Wilhelm.

On the Idaho Repository it lists that Chapman Financial Services took him to court over a non-payment. In 2010 he was taken to court by Washington Bath over a claim that wasn't paid.

There is no webpage or social media account for Bob Flowers. Not sure why people run for office without getting their message out on the internet.

Not recommended to vote for Bob Flowers. What does he mean by a living wage? What does he mean when he says controlled growth?

Birth Control Funding

"It was announced (last week) that the government will not longer force elderly celibate nuns to pay for birth control." Did you read that headline in the mainstream media? No, you didn't. You heard "Trump is banning birth control or "Trump made it harder to purchase birth control".

"...the Obama Administration mandated that all employers cover birth control, allowing only a narrow religious exception for a certain select group of conscientious objectors. A religious exception so narrow that even nuns didn't qualify.

Trump has simply expanded that exception so that anyone with a religious or moral objection to funding birth control will no longer be forced to fund it. Nobody should be forced to pay for anyone's birth control. Period.

Trump didn't put any obstacles in the way of obtaining birth control, other than the obstacle in the way of obtaining most products. The obstacle is that you have to be a grown up and pay for it. I experience that obstacle every time I go to the grocery store to buy anything. It's part of being an adult in a free society.

If you really want to have sex, but you really can't afford babies, and you really can't even afford the few dollars it requires to purchase contraception, then that's a good sign that you really, really, really shouldn't be having sex in the first place. You're not even close to ready. If you can't have sex without reaching into my pocket for the funding, then don't have sex. It's pretty simple."

If you want to help other people get birth control then give your own money to groups that help people with those things. Stop trying to force people to fund things they disagree with!

Lake City High School Threats

Two threats via social media this week, aimed at Lake City High School students. The police investigation so far shows that a student is making the threats. WHAT THE HECK!

Another example of human life being devalued. Why would you threaten someone when they refuse to send you nude photographs? Why would you ask for nude photos in the first place?

"LCHS students will not be allowed to use personal electronic communication devices, including cell phones, during school hours effective immediately and until further notice." Why not make that permanent? And make it through out the whole school district....

Students do not need their cell phones on them except to call a parent during lunch or after school. Cell Phones enable cheating, and odd behavior (like threats) - which do not help the education process.

If you know who is making these threats, please contact the CDA Police Department. There is an $800 reward if you do. The person making these threats, whether they are a minor or not, needs to be in jail!

***UPDATE***
Earlier today the CDA Police Department arrested a Lake City High School student today in relation to threatening social media posts the last two days. The student will be prosecuted and will face school disciplinary consequences including possible expulsion.

Hard Conversations Part 3 of 3

N:"I respect the heck out of you guys and am laid we are able to talk about issues without fear that we are going to hate each other. I agree that something needs to change. I do think that some sort of gun control could help. I believe that background checks and other things would be a good start. I am annoyed at all the political crap right now when people are struggling with so much emotionally."

S:" I'm also glad we are talking. There is gun control already. I'm not sure what you mean by some sort of gun control. The Vegas shooter passed background checks. He got through the measures in place and may have gotten stuff illegally. Totally think that things need to change. I think we disagree on what to change."

L:" I don't like seeing people struggling at all, but C's original point was that we seem to have duns ourselves in a cycle where a psychopath murders dozens and we are told that it's not the right time to talk about ti. And then, when the arbitrarily appropriate amount of time has passed the fire and passion and anger is gone from most. We need to lake about these things while they're fresh, so we don't forget the pain with the passing of time. This is when we should be calling on our lawmakers with voices louder than the lobbyists to break this cycle. I'm not takin a political side. I'm talking the side of citizenship. I'm tired of seeing my countrymen pay the price for silence."

C:"...there are other countries who have done something and have seen a direct result. Like Australia. Change can happen, we just have to be willing to sacrifice some of our "freedoms" for public safety."

CF:" I completely agree with C, but we live in such divided times that I don't think we will ever accomplish any change in any meaning full direction. If we couldn't get gun control accomplished after Sandy Hook where first graders were massacred, I don't know what will do it. I don't want to wake up to this horrific news ever again and am fearful to even close my eyes tonight. I just wish there was an easy answer to keep our families safe."

S:" I just don't see what you guys see. From my point of view, gun control will not keep this from happening. If someone wants to slaughter it is hard to stop them. Evil will happen again, bad things will happen. I wish there was an easy answer."

C:"S, you are right. There is not correlation between gun control and a reduction in gun violence."

S:"Yes, gun violence is down in Australia. Have you looked at the statistics for the other forms of violence there? They have sky-rocketed! Ban one form of violence, another will take its place. We need to consider how to have less evil in the world, which is complex. In my life experience I am safe with a gun or defense weapon as a deterrent. This is where I just don't understand your point of view."

L:"We shouldn't do anything about guns because knife violence might go up? I'm good with that. Much harder to kill 59 and wound 527 with a knife. No one is arguing that bad people exist. Our point is why do we need to empower them with weapons that can kill dozens within seconds that can be obtained relatively easily?"

C: "I'm curious where you are getting your facts. The Australian Institute of Criminology says that violent crime dropped when they banned guns."

S:"Look at balancedjustice.org - some of the stats from Australia have been inaccurately stated. Most guns are not weapons of mass destruction. The ones the Vegas shooter had were. So let's take away rights from the many because of a few bad apples? Not logical."

C:"Okay, let's just be complacent then. That really seems to be working out well so far."

L:" There are 59 people whose most fundamental rights were taken away very abruptly last night. Those "few bad apples are murdering people in increasingly horrifying numbers. This guy used those guns to do exactly what they were made to do. That happened because we did nothing after the last time this happened...or the mite before the...or the time....eh never mind. I've never said ban all guns. I've said we need to change how they are obtained, especially high caliber, high capacity weapons."

S:" I'm going to repeat myself again. It's already next to impossible to get most of the weapons he had. I'm not saying to be complacent. But someone with my opinion will stand against having rights taken away. Have you considered that you might be wrong in your opinion? I wonder if the answer is somewhere in between our opinions. I have used a gun more than once to thwart an attacker. Our life experiences give us different views. These are my opinions, and you have yours. I very strongly think that your opinion is definitely not the answer. I've enjoyed this discussion."

C: "If you aren't okay with things the way they are, but also don't want things to change in regards to guns, then what outcome are you expecting? This one has become personal for us. We had many friends there and we are very lucky that they were not physically injured. But that is the shittiest thing to me. They should have been counting on "luck" at the blackjack tables, not in regards to their LIVES. This should NEVER have happened, and now we need to take the time to make sure it never does again. We have NEVER said "ban all guns, no guns for anyone! We have said that it needs to be harder to get guns, needs to be harder to stockpile ammunition, needs to be harder to get assault rifles. If you or any other gun owner is doing thing right and lawfully, then the gun control we are asking for really shouldn't affect you."

A:" We need to NOT be pro-gun or pro-gun control. We just all need to be pro-killing each other less often. On that front, we can talk about how certain things like background checks are really effective, and with just minimum intrusion. And certain other things. like bans on assault rifles, doesn't seem to work because that is a generic term and would be too hard to define. I don't have all the answers but this is the level of detail we need to be debating at - that works and what doesn't, and maybe that context matter too (urban vs rural). I bet there is a lot of common ground if we try to look for it."

L:"...second amendment blah, blah, blah.....being a civilized nation we are using these amendments that were written in the 1700's!!! Times have changed, people have changed!! Sorry but the last time I was in Vegas I found it very very crazy that people were walking the strip with guns strapped to their waists. It is not okay. All it takes is on crazy and there will be some shoot out. In Europe no one has guns and I feel much safer there than in America. Yes they have more terrorist attacked but more people kill each other on a day to day basis in the US. I totally agree with C! I can't stand the fact that I am feeling concerned taking my family out."

P:" The 2nd amendment exists because hard conversations were discussed 241 years ago."

C:" And nothing has changed in the last 241 years?"

P:" Are we more enlightened than the founders of the country?"

Hard Conversations Part 1 of 3

A Facebook conversation right after the Las Vegas shooting...

C: "Why is today not the day to be having the hard conversations?

I'm pretty sure the families of the 59 victims and 500+ wounded would say yesterday would have been a pretty good day for that conversation. The 49 killed at Pulse nightclub would say June 11, 2016 would have been a pretty good day. The 32 killed at Virginia Tech would say April 15, 2007 would have been a pretty good day. The 26 CHILDREN and TEACHERS killed at Sandy Hook would say December 13, 2012 would have been a good day.

Too many live are cut way too short because we aren't having the hard conversations. Who cares if it's too political? Being scared to take my family to school, the movie theater, a music festival...I'm pretty sure these are NOT the things our Founding Fathers wanted for us when they created the 2nd Amendment. Enough has been enough for way too long.

To me it seems like the pro-gun side wants to keep on saying "We'll talk about this later" as a way to never have the conversation, and then claim the other side is "politicizing" a tragedy. Fact is, these tragedies would happen FAR less if we had gotten political a long time ago. We can play the blame game until we're blue in the face but there seems to be one constant in all of this violence, guns, which were created solely to kill. There's no reason why they should be so easy to obtain."

S: "I disagree. Guns are for hunting and protection in the non-urban areas. The shooter today most likely got his guns illegally and the ones he shot with are already very hard to obtain. Why punish good (not crazy) people who happen own guns over what crazy people did.

In my opinion, I've been seeing a pattern of no access to mental health resources. Virginia Tech - crazy person, Pulse nightclub - crazy person, Sandy Hook - crazy person. We can't legislate away crazy. They will kill no matter what. They need our (society's) help before it gets to that point."

C:" I''m not saying no guns for anyone. What I am saying is, access and ease of legally purchasing guns is clearly out of control. If all gun owners seriously think they would be "punished" by having stricter laws, then maybe they need to take a look at why they actually have or want the guns in the first place. If they all have them for the right reasons, then hopefully the gun control that we need wouldn't apply to them."

L: "We don't know how this guy got his guns, but don't bring the "don't punish the good people" argument into this. This guy already did that. And there is no way in the world I can know whether you won't snap one day too. Have a handgun. Have a hunting rifle. Your ability to have a 30 round clip is not protected by our constitution, and your opinion that it is, is ill informed."

S:" I never said I wanted a 30 round clip. Let's wait and see what the investigation uncovers. From what I know, you have to go through long involved background checks to get those big clips. Just stating that more gun control would not have solved this issue.

Those clips are very hard to get legally, thus my opinion that the odds are high he got them illegally. I'm not attacking you. I just have a different point of view. In California, it's super hard to get a gun legally. In Idaho, its not hard to buy a gun. In California, it's next to impossible to get a conceal carry permit. In Idaho you don't need one.

Even adjusted for the population difference, which one has the lower crime rate? Idaho. Gun control tends to equal higher crime rate.

To dehumanize and devalue human life in general, shows that something is wrong with the shooter. Human life is precious, when we all try to treat our fellow man with kindness and love, even the annoying ones, I think that things are better."

Hunting Is Not Evil

What do you think when you see these pictures? Do you see a happy hunter? Or do you see a murderer?

An avid hunter, Jessica Grays, posted these pictures to her Facebook page. She made the mistake of making her post public. Lots of nasty comments were posted.

One comment said, "Nature is something to stand back and admire. Not to murder, cut its head off, and nail to your wall. I can only pray that one day, karma returns the favor, and your head ends up on someone's wall." Does the person making this comment eat meat? Is all killing of animals for food, murder? Um, no. The odds are very high that she will eat the meat and/or donate to people who would like to eat it. Also, why would you wish someone dead? Killing a moose and killing a human are not the same.

The convenience of grocery stores has taken us away from being closer to the food chain. It is not animal cruelty to hunt and eat an animal. Where in the Bible does it say to not eat meat? Where in the Bible does it say that killing an animal to eat it, is wrong? If you find a verse, please post it in the comments below.

Abortion Signs At Post Falls High School

There are a group of people with abortion signs that have pictures of aborted babies at Post Falls High School this morning. Parents have posted to the Post Falls Police Department page that they think that it is unacceptable to have these images out in front of Post Falls High School.

One parent commented, "This is horrible and disgusting. This idiot doesn't care about spreading a pro-life message, he's just a sicko." Another said, "He is not educated in abortion and the laws governing it. There is a difference between abortion and miscarriage. This baby look way too old to be aborted."

A mom said, "Here's the thing: these are high school students. Many of them are sexually active or thinking about being sexually active. It's not out of left field to inform them of what that decision could lead to. Pictures are very powerful. These are no elementary school children. These are teenagers who are old enough to be having sex and therefore old enough to know what the consequences of their actions might be."

Who Is To Blame For the Freeman High School Shooting?

Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich listed a bunch of factors he believes were part of the case of the Freeman High School shooting.

1) "This young gentleman got sucked into a counterculture of violence, a culture that is enamored with school shootings. And media, you are to blame for that, because you keep giving these people headlines."

2) "Where did we really go sideways in raising our kids? Perhaps we taught them to glorify the wrong things. All this violence that they constantly consume has come home to pay a major price."

3) "(Lawmakers on) both the right and the left, you're both enamored by radicalized hate. You seem to hate everybody and everything."

4) The lack of local mental health services - "They (the federal government) have pushed this problem to the local level, and they local level is not equipped to deal with it."

5) "You started glorifying cultures of violence. You glorified gang culture. You glorified games that actually give you points for raping and killing people."

The word privilege keeps getting tossed around. To quote a great movie - "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." The dictionary defines privilege as "a right or immunity granted as a peculiar benefit, advantage or favor."

Normally, Buzz Feed quizzes are silly and entertaining, but their quiz on privilege is disturbing. You may find it disgusting but I recommend you take the quiz. It's good to have insight into the liberal mindset so that you are not assimilated. Click here to take the quiz.

Here are somethings that will count against you in the quiz - being white, being heterosexual, being a man, having a good job, graduating high school, graduating from college, your parents being heterosexual, and being part of an accepted religion. The statement in the quiz about being white is just straight up racism. White does not equal privilege, just ask Jay Z. and Michelle Obama.

It is not a bad thing to be heterosexual or to be a man. It is interesting that liberals don't want LGBT people to be penalized for their gender issues, but tend to penalize people for being heterosexual or for being a man.

Graduating high school is not privilege, it is work. Granted it is less work since Common Core came around, but it still requires work and dedication. Are work and dedication privilege? Graduating from college is not privilege. Once again it is the willingness to be in a lot of debt, combined with hard work and dedication. If you would like these privileges, get off your bum and get to work!

Gender Identity For Kindergarten

Why are teachers in the public school system talking to Kindergarten students about transgender? Why is that part of the curriculum for a 5 year old? No wonder the public school system is not able to teach the basics of reading, writing, and math - they have more important things to do.

A teacher in California read a book to her Kindergarten class - I am Jazz. It is about a transgender child going through transition. Apparently gender identity does not fall under sex education where prior parental notification is required. Why not?

You may be tempted to dismiss this as a liberal state issue. Please don't!
If your child is in a public school, have you checked to see if prior parental notice is required? If it is not, you should consider going to a school board meeting to have it added.

Or even better yet...figure out a way to educate your children without putting them in public school. You have more options than you realize. Don't tolerate schools slowly eroding your parental rights! You know what is best for you child.
