We have seen a few other ADT offers in the past:

Previous offers have said it requires 36 months of service and need to use the special amex link. I don’t see those restrictions this time. It does still say you need a new service, so not sure if it’ll work for existing service payments OR stand alone device purchases such as google nest. Our Verdict

Last year it was possible to get 75,000 miles + $100 + 500 bonus miles. Dummy booking is currently showing 60,000 miles + $100, I would be waiting to see if that offer increases to 80,000 miles + $100 as normally it does increase in line with the public bonus. Because of the better offer that was recently available and the fact we might see this become 80,000 miles + $100 I’d recommend waiting it out and won’t be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

Our Verdict

Looks like a basic individual will is $199, so technically a freebie. Regardless, this might be something to think about if you need some estate planning. Of course, be sure to do your research on which company or lawyer you want to use as that’s more important than saving $199.

Stack with a shopping portal to turn this into a slight moneymaker.

We were notified that a small number of individuals with a beta Bilt Mastercard issued prior to the launch of the Wells Fargo card in March 2022 were incorrectly reported to the credit bureau, Transunion, for a delinquent balance from a third-party card servicer, Tate Kirlin on Friday, July 31st.

Fine enough compensation if it didn’t really negative impact you but if it resulted in denied applications or other hardships 2,500 points doesn’t move the needle.

Original post 8/1/26: Some reddit users are reporting that they have received a collections notice from Tate & Kirlin saying that BILT is taking adverse action against them due to unpaid debt. A BILT spokesperson has acknowledged the issue and provided the following statement:

We are aware of a small number of customers receiving unexpected collections notices and/or credit reports related to their beta Bilt card. We are in touch with the agency responsible and any erroneous credit reporting will be deleted immediately.

A second statement was issued stating:

Credit bureaus have been notified and your report will update within 2-5 business days due to credit bureau updating schedules

The issue seems to be affecting Evolve Bank cardholders (beta or pre 1.0) and not Wells Fargo (BILT 1.0) or Cardless (BILT 2.o) cardholders.  Evolve Bank cards were all issued before March, 2022. To say this is a significant issue is underselling it, one reddit user reports they were in the midst of the approval process for a house purchase before their credit score suddenly dropped 60 points. If you are affected I’d strongly recommend keeping track of any damages you’ve incurred as a result of this issue.

Our Verdict

Decent spend offer to get 3 Ultimate Rewards points on either gas or grocery, depending which offer you got. 

This one I didn’t think of: a Reddit user who had been shut down by Capital One 5 years ago reports getting a shut down notice on their Discover cards, apparently due to the merger. Ouch, that’s a long memory and a long arm. 

Update 7/5/26: Klook deal is back from Capital One Shopping daily deal – check your homepage and your email for the exact details and tiers since they vary.

Our Verdict

Nice rates for hotel/car bookings at 25% back or for experiences at 40%.  Things to note with Capital One shopping:

Citi Strata Elite $200 Blacklane Credit 

The Citi Strata Elite Card includes up to $200 per calendar year in statement credits for rides booked with Blacklane, a global chauffeur and airport transfer service. The credit is split into two parts: up to $100 from January through June and up to $100 from July through December.

Some people might care for the white glove service, but even if not, you can use Blacklane as an Uber/Lyft alternative for an airport ride/pickup or the like. Blacklane typically doesn’t operate in smaller cities – check it out for an airport pickup, dropoff, or transfer, or look at them for a ride in a major city. 

Prices will usually be much more than Uber, but it could sometimes make sense with the $100 credit. For example, you might find an airport ride which costs $50 on Uber versus $125 on Blacklane – you’ll save $25 by choosing the Blacklane option.

You can price out a Blacklane ride online, no account needed. 

Strata $100 Credit Details

• No activation or enrollment is required. The Blacklane statement credit is automatic for Citi Strata Elite cardholders as long as the ride is paid for with the card.
• Reports indicate that Blacklane charges appear as pending when the ride is scheduled, but the charge does not post until after the ride is completed. Keep that in mind for timing purchases within the Jan-June and Jul-Dec credit timeframe.
• You do not need to use the full $100 credit in a single transaction; can use part on one trip and then part on another. Practically, it’s uncommon to find a Blacklane ride that costs less than $100.
• It is not possible to combine two different $100 Blacklane credits on a single trip since the full trip is charged to one card.
• It’s yet unknown whether paying with Paypal works for the Blacklane credit or if Citi won’t recognize the charge to credit through Paypal. The Blacklane app (only) does accept Paypal, but again it’s unknown if that will trigger the credit. If it does, then that might open up the ability to split a charge between two Citi Strata Elite cards and get $100 credit on each.
• There’s no way to buy a Blacklane gift card.
• The statement credit from Citi officially can take weeks to post, but anecdotally, it posts when your Citi statement closes.

Bilt Cash Usage

Those with the Bilt card can use their Bilt Cash to get a Blacklane credit. Far as I can tell, the Bilt Cash redemption comes back as a statement credit on your Bilt account and so there’s no way to combine the Bilt credit with the Strata Elite credit. (Again, if Paypal ends up working, there might be a chance of splitting the charge, see discussion above). 

Maximizing the Blacklane Credit

Unfortunately, there’s not a ton to do to maximize this credit. A few things to keep in mind to maximize or find value here:

• All taxes, tolls, and tips are included in the initial upfront price. No tip is expected.
• You can request a car seat be brought along for a child at no additional charge. By contrast, Uber/Lyft charge $10 extra (and it’s not offered in all areas).
• Some people find more value in Blacklane when they need to bring a family of 4-5 and are ordering a Blacklane SUV. It’ll still be more than an Uber SUV, but the price difference might narrow.
• Some people like scheduling their Uber airport pickup in order to avoid price surges. That would be an opportune time to check the Blacklane price and compare. There are also some airports in other countries that don’t allow Uber picksups at all. 
• Promo Code: People online talk about sometimes getting a Blacklane promo code which can be used on your first ride. As far as I know, there are no current live promo codes available to everyone. It seems that many people get a $50 promo code from Blacklane sometime after signing up – these might be targeted or it might be given to everyone who signs up and doesn’t use their account for a week or so. See another tip here. (Note, the promo code might only work for 30 days, so you don’t necessarily want to sign up way in advance.)
• Promo code: I see mention of a $30 promo code here and here and here, let us know if it works and we’ll add in any confirmed working promo codes. 
• Promo code: Aside from getting a promo code 7-10 days after signup, some people get similar offers some months later as well. Keep an eye out on your email. 

Other than the possible $50 promo code mentioned, there’s not much stacking with the Blacklane credit. (The only other idea is the above-mentioned Paypal split on two Strata cards, but we don’t yet know if that works.)

Booking Details

Blacklane does not own their own fleet of cars – they contract the rides out to local drivers.

• Blacklane can be booked online or in the Blacklane app.
• Blacklane needs to be scheduled in advance. (It looks like it might be possible to get a ride one hour from booking.)
• Blacklane typically doesn’t operate in small cities. Many/most large cities and airports will be supported.
• When booking with Blacklane, you can choose the “Business Class” option for three people and two suitcases or choose the “Business SUV” option for five people and five suitcases or the “First Class” option for a fancier car for three people and two suitcases.
• Reservations can be canceled up to one hour before the scheduled pickup time with no penalty.
• Standard pickups include 15 minutes of waiting time while airport and train station pickups include up to one hour of waiting time.
• For airport pickups, drivers track your flight and adjust pickup timing automatically if you are delayed.
• There’s also an hourly booking option with Blacklane for pickup and dropoff within the same city. (Book here)
• As part of an airport pickup, you can have them come with a sign to hold with the travelers name to find them in the airport. 
• You can request a car seat be brought along for a child at no additional charge.

Our Verdict

Some readers will find useful the two yearly $100 credits in one of two ways:

• The frugal user will try to see if they can get a free ride somewhere to save themselves the $10-$40 Uber. Occasionally someone might even find Blacklane similar priced to Uber for a big $100 savings. 
• Someone who appreciates a white glove experience can use this for an airport pickup or similar without breaking the bank. 

I checked it out a couple of times for an airport dropoff and didn’t find the prices worthwhile, even after factoring in the $100 Citi credit, especially since I prefer not to book in advance. Pricing disparities will vary from ride to ride, and so it’s worth checking out your own booking and see if it’s worthwhile.
