The Everyday Journey of a Stray Dog in Local Train

In a bustling city of Mumbai, where the daily grind can make even the calmest minds anxious, one stray dog has captured hearts of millions on YouTube app with his unique daily ritual. This man's best friend with canine has become a familiar sight on the local train, gracefully navigating the urban jungle with an ease that defers his status as a stray. The video posted by a youtuber Maninair9 in April 2024 has gained 11+ million views. Even I was amazed by the Dog when it came across in my the YouTube short feeds. Below is the Viral video.

Never thought I might end up bumping into him someday. In May 2024, after watching him in his viral YouTube video, I saw the dog for the first time in slow local on Central (railway) line. Then onwards, found him daily in same train. However, I didn't notice it was him, until I saw him from back and recognized the 2 black spots on his back.

Every day, as the train pulled into the station, this loyal traveler boarded with a casualness that suggests he’s done this a thousand times before. He claims his reserved spot on the footboard, his chosen resting place from which he observes the world with a calm manner. Unlike many of us who are often strained by the morning rush, this dog remains serene and unruffled. He doesn’t push through the crowded train compartments; instead, he waits patiently for next train.

His routine is as punctual as the train itself. The dog boards the train when it’s less crowded in morning, avoiding the crush of daily commuters. He sits quietly, never causing a fuss or interfering with the passengers. He doesn't even bother to look at other co-passengers, thus not interfering in fellow passenger's privacy, which is very uncommon in public transport now-a-days.

When the train halts at his designated stop, he dismounts with the same composed grace, disappearing into the crowd as if he were just another city habitant going about his day.

What’s truly inspiring about this stray dog is his ability to adapt to an environment that is often overwhelming. In a world where we are frequently preoccupied with our own troubles, this dog serves as a gentle reminder of the beauty in simplicity and patience. His daily journey is not just a commute; it’s a testament to resilience and the unexpected harmony between humans and animals.

In a city that never sleeps, where stress is a constant companion, this stray dog’s peaceful daily routine offers a moment of reflection. His presence on the local train is a heartwarming reminder that sometimes, calm and composure can coexist even in the most unlikely of places.

The day I recognized it was the viral dog from video, I decided to record a clip and I did. Below are the few snaps that I was able to capture on our last concurrent journey.

After this photoshoot, I never saw him again. May be he didn't like someone clicking his photos/videos. Or may be he doesn't do it for free ;-)

Timesavers - The Short cuts

In the world of Word, Excel, Docs, Mobiles and many other things on Internet today there are so many features that one person may rarely use or come across in his entire lifetime.

Let's try to find and use these Time-savers (Short-cuts features) for personal benefit.

I, (Having a blog named Doctor Says for Computer related stuff may sound weird, but still it's worth reading) will keep adding and updating this blog for new and interesting Time-savers (used by me to refer Shortcuts ☺)

001. So to start with I won't put the Keys for Cut, Copy-Pasting in Word, Excel, Docs. Every kid knows how to Copy-Paste. For School kids and College Teens this feature is almost the Great Savior during the Assignment Submissions.

But whenever you copy-paste huge volume of data from Internet, the Hyper-links too gets copied along with them. Instead of Right-clicking on each and every Hyper-linked word and removing them individually you can simply use the following trick.

Select all data (Ctrl + A) or the data from which you want to remove hyperlinks.

Then press {Ctrl + Shft + F9} and TADA...!!!!

002. Another Important key on Keyboard is TAB. It is used to advance to next tab stop, which is very helpful during quick typing. But sometimes you might overstep the desired tab stop. Many people will rely on their old pal Mouse to get back, but What if you can do using the Keyboard keys instead.

When you over step and want to go back to the previous Tab-stop, just press {Shft + Tab} and there you go.

003. I said I won't post Copy-Paste shortcuts, But this Copy-Paste option is different and very useful to people using accounting software - Tally.ERP9, it can be used in copy-pasting a same Narration for repetitive entries, copying the GSTIN from or to Tally. (Doctor speaking on Commerce software too 😉) Normal Copy-Paste formulas' don't work in Tally as they are assigned with another function.

So for Copying figures or text from tally just place your cursor (Blinking line/box) in desired place and press {Ctrl + Alt + C}
Similarly for pasting something in Tally, repeat above step with following formula {Ctrl + Alt + V}

004. You can launch a program from your taskbar without using Mouse/Pointer. Pinning a program to your Taskbar helps you to save time by not requiring to search the desired program in start list, search box in start list or short-cut icon on a clumsy desktop (If you don't regularly keep your desktop neat & tidy) You can save another fraction of seconds by quickly starting the program using keyboard keys as follow:

Win (Windows logo key located on left bottom corner of keyboard) + 1,2,3...etc.
Eg. If my Taskbar consist of programs in following order (1) Internet Explorer, (2) Google Chrome, (3) Tally and (4) Paint and I want to open Paint Program, then I would Press {Win + 4}

005. Everyday our smartphones get bombarded with unlimited notifications from various sources. Most of them are useless, but few are very important. Clearing the notifications in nick of time is in the Muscle memory of us and that's when we might end-up clearing an important notification too. But don't worry, the Smartphones got your back.

Long press your Home-screen, tap on widgets section, find & place the Settings shortcut on your home-screen. While selecting it will ask you the function to be performed, Select Notification option (Clip added below) and you will never miss any important notification. There is another short-cut too, but that's for next time 😈
