Our Verdict

Lowe’s is a valuable brand and this amounts to a discount of around 17%. The $20-$40 bonus e-gift card will come as a separate gift card, and will function exactly like a normal Lowe’s e-gift card with no expiration.

Lowe’s e-gift card purchases route through Buyatab.com and so they won’t stack with any Lowe’s-specific codings (if there are any cards with home improvement stores offers or whatnot). Same deal was offered late last year.

• Walmart+ members can now earn double the Walmart Cash, now up to 10%, on eligible hotels, car rentals and activities booked through Walmart+ Travel powered by Expedia. Members will also continue to earn 2% Walmart Cash on flights, with blended Walmart Cash back available on vacation packages.

I guess you’re giving up on using a shopping portal to get this 2-10% instead. The 10% on hotels and car rentals seems interesting. Let us know if I’m missing something here.

Our Verdict

I don’t think we’ve ever covered these no-fee Capital One business cards before. A number of weeks ago, someone sent in about the Spark Miles Select card, and now the Spark Cash Select card is out with an increased offer as well. These are both nice offers with reasonable spend requirements.

Note: the Miles card only cashes out at half-penny per point. That card is better for travel since you can transfer the points to valuable travel partners. Still, from the two offers, most people will likely prefer the $750 cash with $6,000 spend over the 50,000 miles with $4,500 spend.

Remember, Capital One pulls all three credit bureaus when you submit a card application. Also important: While Capital One Business Cash Plus card does not report to the personal credit bureaus, these no-fee Capital One Spark Cash Select and Spark Miles Select cards do report to the personal credit bureaus. And so getting these cards will affect your 5/24  count.

Personally I’d just skip this offer and hope you get a better one in the future.
