      <title>Gigantic Wind Park Relocation</title>
<description>A wind park needs to get from Europe to Asia. Over two thousand tons of highly sensitive and valuable cargo. On one of the world’s largest heavy lift vessels. The team has only 37 days for loading in two ports and travelling once around half of the globe. To be able to transport the entire cargo, the crew even has to build another level altogether in the middle of the deck. It’ll be an ongoing battle for five straight weeks. Against time. And against weather. The load: Five gigantic nacelles, each as heavy as a Boeing 747 and nine 75-meter-long blades. All these wind park components have been specially designed to fit together and can only be replaced with a huge effort. Any damage to the cladding or the electronics could delay construction of the whole wind park project by months. The loading process is extremely complicate and has been developed especially for this transport! So no one has any experience with it. The crew has to trust the plans of the engineers. And they don’t have ANY margin of error. Just a couple centimeters too far to the left or right would mean: everything out again. A project never before undertaken anywhere in the world. And no one knows if the risky plan will prove successful in the end. A mega transport in the superlative. Over two thousand two hundred tons of cargo on three levels. Below deck, on deck, and above deck.

<title>Greta Thunberg and "Fridays for Future" - a growing student movement </title>
<description>The worldwide "Fridays for Future” movement is piling the pressure on politicians. In Europe in particular, the influence of the campaign launched by 16-year-old Greta Thunberg is growing. The young activists are angry at what they see as their elders’ failure to protect the environment and are seeking new forms of protest in their fight for immediate action to prevent further global warming and climate change. In the last six months, Famke from Germany, Lena from Switzerland and Antoni from Poland have taken part in the school strike for the climate every Friday. They continued their activism even during their summer vacation. Famke traveled from Berlin to a Fridays for Future congress in Dortmund, where students from all over Germany came together to discuss how their aims could be reconciled with political and economic interests. 17-year-old Antoni from Warsaw attended a Climate Camp that brought together a range of environmental groups and activists for talks on their various objectives. The primary demand of the Fridays for Future movement is that the states that signed the Paris Agreement stick to the targets it laid out. On other issues, the movement’s agenda varies from country to country. In Germany, the young activists are demanding the government introduce a carbon tax, while in Poland they want to see the issue of climate change addressed in schools. Student groups across Europe are beginning to formulate common goals and build networks in order to strengthen the movement and step up pressure on politicians. 16-year-old Lena from Basel was one of the organizers of the Summer Meeting in Lausanne Europe (SMILE) that took place in Switzerland and brought together activists from all over the world. The ultimate goal of the three young campaigners is nothing less than to save the planet.

<title>The opioid crisis in the USA </title>
<description>Opioid addiction has already cost nearly 200,000 lives in the US alone. But recent figures indicate the crisis is no longer a purely American problem. The use of these painkillers has also increased in Germany and France in the last few years. Overdoses of painkillers have been responsible for nearly 200,000 deaths in the US in the last five years alone. US pharmaceutical company johnson and johnson has just been sentenced to a fine of over 500 million dollars. These painkillers contain opioids artificial morphine. They work quickly and reliably and are highly addictive. The opioid epidemic has destroyed families and entire communities and paralyzed the economy in many regions, affecting all age groups and social strata. Most of the medical practices and clinics that for years prescribed millions of opioids are now closed, and physicians, pharmacists, wholesalers and manufacturers are facing a wave of lawsuits. But at the same time, there is now a flourishing black market on the streets and in the darker reaches of the Internet. Purdue, a pharmaceutical company, made a profit of over 35 billion Euros from the opioid painkiller OxyContin. It was marketed as completely harmless, but in reality, OxyContin, like other painkillers such as Fentanyl that are prescribed on a massive scale in the USA, can become addictive after only a short time. But we can no longer write the opioid crisis off as a purely American phenomenon. In Germany, too, the amount of painkillers containing opioids prescribed by doctors increased by almost a third between 2006 and 2015. And the use of strong opioids in France has also risen sharply. The documentary investigates at first hand the health catastrophe in the USA and compares it with the situation in Germany and France.

      <title>The Power of MEDITATION </title>
<description>This awesome documentary about meditation explores a broad variety of practices that includes techniques designed to promote relaxation, build internal energy or life force (qi, ki, prana, etc.) and develop compassion, love, patience, generosity, and forgiveness. A particularly ambitious form of meditation aims at effortlessly sustained single-pointed concentration meant to enable its practitioner to enjoy an indestructible sense of well-being while engaging in any life activity. "Through meditation found the ability to start a new career, reconnect with old friends, and start living my life to the fullest.   In short, I rebuilt my life from the bottom up. Today, just 12 years later I'm completely fulfilled. I love what I do professionally, I have the most wonderful family and friends around me, and I feel grateful for everyday I live. For so many years I was miserable when I had all the gifts life could bestow. It took, what I thought at the time was, a death sentence for me to wake up and start living. I knew these “secrets” I had uncovered could help anyone live an extraordinary life, but imagine my shock when I learned how many rich, successful and famous people had used the EXACT same process to achieve all that he had achieved...." <description>Universities in Nigeria and Ghana have been plagued by stories of sexual harassment by lecturers and professors for decades. Allegations include a wide array of abuses, from blackmailing students for sex in exchange for marks and admission to lewd comments and grooming. After gathering dozens of testimonies, BBC Africa Eye sent undercover journalists posing as students inside the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the University of Ghana to capture footage of the sexual harassment. Reporter Kiki Mordi, who knows first-hand how devastating sexual harassment can be, reveals what happens behind the closed doors of some of West Africa’s most prestigious universities.

      <title>BAKUR: Inside the PKK </title>
<description>Shot in secret, BAKUR: Inside the PKK is the worlds first documentary made with inside access to the Kurdish separatist group, who are considered a terrorist organisation by Turkey, the US and NATO. The result is an inside look at the undeclared war going on in Turkey for decades. This was the first time any film crew had ever accessed these camps. To date, the PKK has lost over 30 thousand of its members in combat against the Turkish State. What is the PKK’s perception of the state, justice and authority? What constitutes the foundation of their relationship to the people? How did the Kurdish movement evolve over the years into a battle for freedom founded on the women’s rights movement? How do the guerrillas who have been living under wartime conditions for 40 years manage to survive all year-round in the harsh outdoor living conditions in the mountains? In search for answers to all of these questions, BAKUR: Inside the PKK introduces the audience to men and women who have chosen to join the armed resistance in order to create a new future. We witness life in three guerrilla camps located in three different regions of Kurdish territory within the Turkish borders. Beautifully shot over months, we follow the lives of guerrilla fighters including the training and graduation of new recruits, their justice system and the progressive philosophies that guide them.

<title>Julian Assange - the case of the WikiLeaks founder</title>
<description>British police arrested Julian Assange on April 11, 2019 in the Ecuadorean embassy in London. The arrest ended nearly seven years of diplomatic asylum and left little standing between Assange and extradition. Assange has been accused of sexual assault in Sweden, while in the US he is wanted on espionage charges and for publishing top secret documents on the internet platform he founded, WikiLeaks. Since his arrest, he has been held in Belmarsh, a maximum-security prison on the outskirts of London. If the UK turns Assange over to the US, he could face up to 175 years in prison if convicted. His case is highly politicized. Some brand him a traitor. Others say he champions freedom of information. As our report shows, the case against Julian Assange also involves some apparent inconsistencies.

      <title>It’s in Our Genes </title>
<description>Some diseases wait like ticking time bombs in our genes or genetic blueprints. Gene mutations might mean that we have a greater risk of getting Alzheimer’s or cancer, for instance. But how do we cope psychologically with this knowledge about our genes? And do we really have no control over this ‘master plan’? We live in an age in which gene tests are becoming cheaper and more widespread and scientists are discovering more and more risk factors. But do we always want to know what fate might befall us? We meet Jana whose fate seems to be sealed because she has a rare inherited disorder, cerebellar degeneration. Doctors hold out little hope. Yet Jana has surprised everyone with her will to live.
Katrin also knows that she has a potentially fatal genetic disorder. She was 35 when she detected a lump in her breast. She subsequently discovered that she has a gene mutation that greatly increases her risk of getting cancer. But Katrin refuses to let her life be ruled by statistics. Stefan doesn’t know anything about his genetic baggage yet. The architect is allowing researchers to analyze his own genetic building blocks, his DNA, as part of Germany’s biggest health study.
The aim of the project is to identify genetic risk factors in our genome together with lifestyle risks and help to prevent disease before it happens. But don’t studies like these carry their own dangers?
