Hyperglance is the world’s first IT modelling and visualisation solution that gives you a comprehensive, 3D view of your entire infrastructure, from end to end, so you can pinpoint the root cause of performance issues, fix them more quickly than ever before, and prevent them from happening again.

It helps you ensure your IT systems can efficiently deliver all your business-critical services. Hyperglance cuts through the complexity of modern IT systems and applications; aggregates management data from all your different functions; stitches it together meaningfully, providing context, and presents it as a highly detailed three-dimensional model that you can interrogate in intuitive ways.

Modern applications are becoming ever more complex: modular, distributed over a wider range of resources, dynamically virtualised over multiple shared servers, and integrated with cloud-based solutions.

Often a problem will only arise because of the complexity of an application’s underlying infrastructure. So – whether it’s application, database, storage, virtualisation, networking or cloud – heads of teams meeting up to try and solve an issue, when all their individual management dashboards are giving them the all clear, wastes valuable time and costs money.

Hyperglance gives perspective to those polarised views. It weaves all the information together from all your IT resources – asset management, relationship and performance data – into a single 3D model that provides real context on key dependencies.

It gives you the power to take a cross-section of every resource a business critical application uses, identify weak spots and bottleneck, servers running at maximum capacity, busy segments of I/O latency, inefficient virtualisation policies, poor cloud integration – and then fix them quickly.

You can rewind and replay time to see what changed and what was affected, speeding up root cause analysis and eliminating their re-occurrence, or see where security problems entered your environment and how they propagated. And you can take different cross-sections and browse your infrastructure based on its physical location, its performance, or any other metric you choose to define.

Perhaps most importantly, the Hyperglance vision is:

“what’s affected?”

It enables you to monitor all your resources in parallel and ensure that, of all the problems that exist, you deal with those affecting business critical applications first.

For modern organisations that are increasingly dependent on their information systems to operate, or running large numbers of servers, Hyperglance is the missing link in ensuring your IT systems deliver the best possible services to the business.

At TerraEchos, we deliver mission and time critical threat processing, exploitation and dissemination from today’s overwhelming sensor outputs. Our Kairos™ technology simultaneously combines network processes and analyzes massive amounts of live, structured and unstructured, sensor data from the cyber and physical worlds. Kairos achieves the fastest possible response, providing constant and real-time data integration, analysis and correlation. It increases the ability for action while reducing ISR (Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance) manpower and resource PED (Process Exploitation Dissemination) workflows.

Kairos solutions encompass both physical and cyber domain security applications. It combines massively parallel processing and proven advanced analytics of Big Data flows with advanced proven analytics that analyze spatial, temporal, cyber, video, HD video, audio, RF and other data along with associated metadata in sub-second time within a single appliance and software.

In one current U.S. Government system example, Kairos covertly monitors anomalies from over 1000 sensors with over 300 megabits of telemetry data per second. Fed via the application’s sensor matrix, Kairos commands real time “tip and cue” to other sensors to direct additional resources and cross-correlate all available information. This capability produces faster response times, higher quality situational-awareness and reduces false positives.

In another recent delivery to a U.S. Government customer, Kairos technology interprets and responds to network cyber-attacks. Analyzing extreme volumes of data moving at high velocity, it delivers multi-level intrusion detection and attack mitigation while simultaneously intercepting and manipulating the intruder’s experience.

These and other ISR/cyber PED workflow demands can be addressed by Kairos and its dynamic load distribution process. The architecture enables near-linear scalability to petabyte per day processing—reliably and predictably expanded by adding more hardware and/or applying horizontal or pipelining methods such as networked clusters. A family of application modules is available for a broad range of applications like 3D visualization of streaming data.

TerraEchos has demonstrated the ability to configure and rapidly deploy Kairos implementations in response to challenging problems where detection and reaction is critical—from tactical front lines to strategic support. Kairos becomes the timely solution to overwhelming problems of ISR data overload and the ever-increasing demands of manpower for ISR PED workflows. With the capability of translating multiple sensor feeds into solutions, Kairos gives analysts more time with target intelligence to reduce the risk of action – increasing the ability to dominate the area, eliminate the threat and control the environment.

For more than a decade, GCE has delivered innovative technology solutions to the Federal government. GCE recognized that Cloud was fundamentally changing the technology landscape, giving organizations of all size access to the same powerful tools at a very low price point. GCE was one of the first, if not the first, company to have a Federal customer on an enterprise toolset in the Cloud – the GCE Financial Management Cloud. The entire U.S. Department of Labor (13 customer agencies) joined the GCE Cloud in 2010 and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) joined in 2011.

GCE continued its leadership in the Cloud space by introducing a Big Data Cloud to the market in 2011. The GCE Big Data & Analytics Cloud is a massively scalable Big Data framework for storing and managing data, plus a toolset for performing search and analysis on that data. The GCE Cloud is built upon a world-class technical infrastructure that ensures rapid scalability and unparalleled reliability. GCE built the Big Data Cloud solution using open-source technologies such as Hadoop, the Apache open-source tools developed by industry leaders. With this solution, users are empowered to Search, Mash, Analyze, Research, and Target their data – posing questions and exploring results with unprecedented speed and scale. The GCE solution is ideally suited for government agencies struggling to gain rapid insight from large volumes of data.

The GCE Big Data & Analytics Cloud gained traction within the public sector quickly. In 2012, the General Services Administration (GSA) tapped the GCE Big Data Cloud for its USASpending.gov website, the leading site for Federal government spending transparency. USASpending is one of the most widely used sites for Federal spending information, including grants, contracts, direct loans, and payments, and serves as a vital mechanism for delivering transparency on government activities to the general public. Based on a Hadoop framework and easily “right sized” as GSA’s needs change over time, the GCE Big Data & Analytics Cloud is able to dramatically lower the overall cost of running the USASpending site and simultaneously put in place a platform for rapid scalability.

Joint Solutions Simplify Hadoop Deployments, Accelerating Business Insight

PALO ALTO, CA–(Marketwire – Jul 26, 2012) – Cloudera, a leading provider of enterpriseApache Hadoop software and services, and HP today announced an agreement that will enable clients to deploy, manage and scale Hadoop systems quickly to gain more effective insight from their business data.

Organizations are experiencing dramatic growth in the variety, velocity and volume of information generated by their businesses. To address the challenges of managing vast and diverse quantities of data, many organizations are implementing Hadoop, an open-source-distributed data-processing technology. Hadoop takes advantage of large clusters of industry-standard servers to create a single, highly available environment capable of storing and managing petabytes of information.

Under the terms of the joint development and licensing agreement, the two companies will deliver open standards-based reference architectures that simplify management and accelerate deployment of Hadoop Cluster environments. Clients can purchase the Cloudera Enterprise platform and future Cloudera products either directly from HP or bundled in HP AppSystem for Apache Hadoop.

“HP and Cloudera share the common goal of simplifying big data processing and analytics on Hadoop for businesses,” said Tim Stevens, vice president, Business and Corporate Development, Cloudera. “With HP reselling the Cloudera Enterprise platform, together we provide end users with a comprehensive big data analytics solution for data integration, analysis and visualization, built natively on open source Apache Hadoop.”

Cloudera Enterprise comprises Cloudera’s Distribution Including Apache Hadoop (CDH) — the most downloaded and used Hadoop Distribution in the world — as well as Cloudera Manager and Cloudera Production Support.

The new HP reference architecture for Apache Hadoop for Cloudera and HP AppSystem for Apache Hadoop – Cloudera are based on HP Converged Infrastructure. They include the Cloudera Enterprise platform and HP Insight Cluster Manager Utility (CMU) software.

The reseller agreement enables HP and Cloudera to preload the combined solutions at the factory, eliminating the complexities associated with deploying, implementing and managing a Hadoop cluster environment.

“Companies are increasingly turning to Apache Hadoop to help manage petabytes of information, but are finding they spend more time on operations and maintenance than on strategic data analysis,” said Paul Miller, vice president, Converged Application Systems, Enterprise Group, HP. “HP Converged Infrastructure provides a strong portfolio of comprehensive big data management tools that when combined with Cloudera’s solutions, bring the benefits of Hadoop to clients faster without the administrative burden.”

Cloudera and HP technologies enhance total cluster performance, reliability and high-availability capabilities with tools that easily move from test environments to full production. HP Insight CMU improves total cluster performance in real time with 3-D monitoring technology that quickly locates workload bottlenecks and delivers instant feedback. Cloudera Enterprise provides monitoring, configuration and management functionality that enables organizations to quickly determine the root cause of performance issues and implement corrective action as needed.

Pricing and availability
The HP reference architecture for Apache Hadoop for Cloudera is available now. Pricing varies according to location and implementation.

HP AppSystem for Apache Hadoop, preloaded with Cloudera software, is expected to be released in late 2012. Pricing will vary according to location and implementation.

HP’s premier Europe, Middle East and Africa client event, HP Discover, takes place Dec. 4-6 in Frankfurt, Germany.

About HP

InAuth delivers a secure transaction environment to the financial services and mobile transaction markets with our suite of mobile security modules (SDK’s) that work with our Mobile Security Platform (Scoring & Analytics).

InAuth enables the acceleration of mobile transactions. To this end, we have created a revolutionary platform of mobile security modules that may work independently or together to solve both simple and complex security issues. The SDK’s are supported by an adaptive mobile scoring and analytics engine served hosted at on-site at client. The scalable InAuth solutions (SDK’s) are easy to deploy within downloadable applications.

CrinLogic is a professional consulting firm whose passion for Big Data is surpassed only by our curiosity and love of learning. We operate out of DC/VA/MD, Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, and Sarajevo, Bosnia. We are a 100% services only company and recommend only those products which will meet the exacting needs of our customers. We operate out of DC/MD/VA, Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, and Europe.
Our services include:
Big Data Strategy: a 2-4 week effort to craft a Big Data strategy. This strategy typically includes identification of data sources, current technical environment suitability, business justifications and objectives, technical feasibility, skills analysis, and recommended implementation strategy (including options) and projected cost.
Big Data Proof of Concept: a 3-6 week effort to stand-up a small cluster with a focus on answering a set of business use cases. This is typically geared for new entrants to Big Data or experienced Big Data customers seeking to prove out alternate technologies or implementation strategies.
Big Data Solution Consulting: for companies new to Big Data this is a 1+ month effort depending on need to build out the Big Data solution beyond the proof of concept stage. For experienced Big Data companies, this could be anything from leveraging our offshore Agile teams to maintain and build the solution to aligning production solution with the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Big Data Training: we offer a number of classes, both private and public, to students who want to learn more about Big Data and the Apache Hadoop ecosystem. These classes include a 3-day certified Hadoop for Developers class, a certified 2-day Hadoop for Administrators class, a 2 day Hive and Pig class, and a 2 day HBase class. See our training section for more information on our class offerings.
