Cornhole Tournament Information

$40 per team until November 9th

$50 per team day of tournament

Register for cornhole by emailing dogdaysofcharlotteevents@yahoo.com. Please provide the names of players and contact information. We will then follow up with our PayPal account to collect payment.

Pippa is a gorgeous lab mix looking for her forever home! She is a 1-2 year old, spayed female at about 55lbs. She can be a little shy to new experiences at first, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up.  Once she does, she’s SUCH a sweet girl and loves to give kisses.  She is great with other dogs and children.  She has been in foster care at a wonderful doggie daycare, Dogtopia of Charlotte, where she stays active, learns new things, and is being very well socailized.  However, she is ready to move on to the next chapter …her forever home!  She would be a wonderful companion for any person or family.

She is a super sweet girl that loves to LOVE!  She’s easy to train, loves kids, great with dogs and cates, is housebroken, crate trained and loves to go for walks. She is just as happy going on adventures as she is snuggling on the couch right next to you.  Ladybug is very intelligent and is not the type of dog to leave in the yard to entertain herself. She loves ‘Einstein’ toys that keep her mind moving and she would be a fantastic walking partner. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.  What a great catch, right?!   If you are intersted in meeting Ladybug or adopting her, please go to the “Contact Us’ tab and click “I want to adopt” to fill out the contact form.  ***She is adoptable through Lulu’s Rescue.

CrossFit Eternal is a community with a purpose. Our purpose is to better each other and the world around us through the vehicle of fitness. Just as iron sharpens iron, we sharpen one another.  CrossFit Eternal is proud to host “Murph for Mutts!”, a competition with all proceeds to benefit these local charities.  The workout, “Murph” is in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

Event/Competition Details:

Teams of 2
Weighted = 5lb bag of dog food, whomever is working must have the bag

1 mile run as a team (each teammember runs 800M, trade off as you need with the bag of dog food)

Only 1 athlete can be working at a time for these exercises:
100 pullups, as a team
200 pushups, as a team
300 squats, as a team

1 mile final run as a team (each teammember runs 800M, trade off carrying as you need, the bag of dog food)

ALL OF THE ABOVE FOR TIME!

Everything is scalable! Can’t do pullups? No prob! Band assisted or ring rows! Can’t do push-ups…no prob – knee push-ups! And there are prizes for modified workouts as well! Everyone can play!

“The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.”

A few days after posting Hudson on here, he found his forever home! :)  

Hudson is a 1.5 year old yellow lab/shepherd  mix weighing 50 lbs.  He’s a HAPPY boy who LOVES to romp and play especially with his two foster canine siblings and he loves the attention he receives from his human siblings ages 14 and 16. Hudson has not been introduced to his feline friends yet so we can’t report on that but we can report that he loves, loves, loves his doggie friends, has zero aggression towards them and just wants to play as much as possible. Hudson has not been around small children so we are not sure how he does with them but we know he is great with older kids. Hudson is  housebroken,  is lovely on a leash and crate trained.  He does not bark excessively, dig or chew; he does love rawhides and only chews on things that are his. Hudson shows no signs of separation anxiety and is an easy keeper. His foster mom has this to say: “Hudson is a handsome, happy go lucky boy! He is super eager to please and very, very loving. Hudson loves to play but then is very contented to konk out in the house while there is activity; his energy level is about a 5 on a scale of 1-10.” Hudson will make one lucky family very, very happy. He’s a sweet loving boy who is ready for his starring role in your family; a role he has waited a long time to play. Hudson is neutered, and up to date on vaccines.

Update: 5/31/11: – Tipper has found her forever home w/ a lady and her young son in DC. They love and adore her and think she’s just perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Tipper is a wonderful girl!  She’s a 3 year old corgi/yellow lab mix and full of love!  Happy, housebroken, great with kids, other dogs, and cats.  She’s such a  lap dog and loves to cuddle.  She’s been treated for Heartworms and is recovering very well :)   Thanks to all who donated to help pay for her treatment!  Her foster mom says she’s the best dog and is going to make someone very, very happy!
