David Moore Unveils Solo Project

Former Chamberlain/Split Lip vocalist David Moore has completed an album entitled My Lover, My Stranger due out late 2008. However, the single "Breaking You Down" is available today from all digital retailers, including iTunes. Included in this bundle is an additional album track and a live video. Although this is a solo project for Moore, a majority of the songs are a collaboration with guitar player and former bandmate Adam Rubenstein.

NeverShoutNever! on MTV's TRL

Affiliated artist NeverShoutNever! will be performing a song from THE YIPPEE EP live on MTV's Total Request Live during a new performance segment called "On Your Radar," which takes a look at some of the most popular unsigned artists online and showcases their talents on live TV.

The episode will air tomorrow, Wednesday, July 30.

Additionally, the band's debut EP, THE YIPPEE EP is now available via SmartPunk.com, Interpunk.com, MerchNOW, and iTunes.

Jim Ward Mugged + OSSFL Interview

There's been some Civil Defense League excitement on the road, as Jim Ward of Sleepercar was recently mugged. Plus, Kevin from One Small Step for Landmines is doing an interactive interview. Read the update from Kevin:

howdy. i'm hungry, first of all. that has very little to do with much else besides my growling stomach. i went to Atlanta two days ago to see/hang with Jim and the Sleepercar boys. we were casually enjoying company when someone walked up to jim, outside the bar we had been occupying, and demanded his wallet and cell phone. Jim was without a wallet at the time but handed over the cell phone he was talking on to the gun wielding burglar. after this exchange he came inside and explained what happened, of course the bar cleared out into the street to search for this crook but it was to no avail. that was a horrible mess and i felt real bad for my pal. you gotta use that buddy system. in other news i am back in california for a spell. i wont be playing any shows but i am working on new songs and the new album is progressing nicely.

One Small Step For Landmines Release

One Small Step For Landmines has just released a digital-only EP for the single "Good Men Die Young And I'm Not Feeling Well." The brand new EP contains the title track, a cover version of "Good Men Die Young" by Jim Ward ( Sparta/ Sleepercar) and an unreleased B-side featuring guest vocals from Look Mexico's Matt Agrella. You can check out a video of Good Men Die Young, and watch out for plans of a 7" version of the EP later this year.

To get into the event, you must have a special wristband, which can only be acquired by purchasing a new Atticus Clothing t-shirt or one of the attending bands albums from the Virgin Megastore. You can get your wristband the day of, or get it as early as June 17; but remember there are a limited number of wristbands, so make sure to get yours early. The event starts at 6:00PM.
